What a summer it's been... it's funny how major changes in your life can spur either a flurry or a drought in ones artistic endeavors. I graduated from university, split with my long-time mate and used the opportunity to do some serious soul searching and growing. I've been enjoying the glorious summer sun and just being. I've spent time catching up with friends whom I haven't seen or even talked to in years, explored my home town and done a lot of the "tourist stuff" around town - I figured I might as well experience all of what San Diego has to offer, and i'm glad to report that SD hasn't let me down. It's nice to get the view visitors get - the beauty and the crazy whirlwinds of activity rather than the everyday humdrum of just living in a stagnant environment. I spent the first half of the summer largely with one of my best friends, who is not a furry but i will tell you unequivocally she is some sort of chevrotain or antelope, and has since joined the Navy. since then? Ive been spending time with my other closest friend, our infamous meerkat, and some newer friends who have been wonderful to me during what has been a very difficult season for me.

But, as my fellow Hyenas know. we never let the difficulties hold us back from our ambitions, and mine are on the move. My clan is just as strong as ever, and i've been very active in my creative exploits although i havent finished anything really, except some sketches. Ive been knitting up a storm but frogged all three projects I was working on, and have been getting back into sketching in preparation for opening myself up to some small commissions. Ive been sewing as well, some small things but there are patterns in tthe works.

I really must go to more Fur meets...I meet the most amazing people :)
