Posted 11 years agoHey so I was gonna wait a week or so but I just got an offer to go to a Tournament in Missouri and am lacking all the funds and loans don't hit until next week so Id figured id open up now. I'm offering a few different types. Forgive me because I'm typing this from my phone and will edit the journal later with examples but for now just look in my gallery.
Icons: $15usd each
Character study sheets: $30 a page of sketches of a character w different expressions/poses.
Wing it illustrations: $50 you give me the character reference, a few sentences about them, and a song of choice and I'll draw a mood piece to it based on inspiration.
-no adult art or nudity
-extra character are 50%extra (except icons).
- payment via paypal within 24 hours
- visual reference required
If interested, please note me all the information concerning the piece you want. I'll take between 5 and 10 slots for the whole month (depending on size).

New Year, updates, etc
Posted 11 years agoFirst of all, happy new year to all my watchers. I have a bit to say so I'll try to be brief. Forgive me for my lack of activity the last week or so. After my vacation, I returned my find my cat sick and she passed away New years morning. The last few days have been very rough and I miss my baby girl so much. I've also had a cold of my own that's been proving to be obnoxious. I've been able to work a bit on Mountaingoat's comic, which is the only commission left in my queue as of right now. I'll be finishing it and uploading it hopefully by the end of next week.
Between this week and next however, I will be moving accounts. I had hoarded for long enough and I'd like to go ahead and make the switch now. After the last page of MG's comic is uploaded here, I will make the full switch and then open some commissions on that account. Feel free to go ahead and watch that account now, but if not I will post another reminder closer to the official move.
In other news, I've given myself two New Years resolutions:
1. Lose 40lbs. Cut carbs, manage portions, make more homes meals, workout more etc. I'd like to be free of worrying about diabetes when I turn 24 this fall. I don't want to run out of time to take care of my health.
2. "A sketch a day". Kind of, not quite. The goal is to have 365 pages of sketches at the end of the year. While I might not be able to draw one a day, there will be a page for each day, and some pages might be a day early/late etc. I have 2 sketchbooks for this as well. The other catch to this goal is that the only contents of the books MUST be my own original characters. No commissions, no fan art etc.

Currently not having a working tablet has been causing a problem, but I've stayed up all night the last few nights to work (since that was the only time I could use my roommate's tablet). I should be getting a new tablet soon and finals week will be wrapping up soon as well which should definitely speed things up. Birthday coming up (+update)
Posted 12 years agoThe next 10 days or so are gonna be kinda busy due to my birthday on the 11th~ EEE. I have some friends visiting tomorrow through tuesday and then I'll be having all kinds of fun next weekend to celebrate. Wont be taking any new commissions for a bit unless you want a fall/halloween icon. I should be finishing up the 2 i have by the end of this week, along with working on the auction comic. Maybe I'll even be able to sneeze in some doodles for myself in honor of being another year older aha.

WELL I am not actually a DJ no no no. In the 8th grade I took a field trip with my class and on the bus we were singing disney songs really loud and someone just...called me DJ Sammy and since that group of people ended up all doing MU Alpha Theta with me for the next few years the name just stuck and its on the back of my math team shirts and whatever. Had I any idea there were so many DJs in the community I NEVER would have put that. Also fox bc fox.

People usually arent very annoying to me. I'll get occasionally notes asking for free art or to chat with people I've never talked to out of the blue. I have to decline the free art, since my page does say I dont take requests unless stated. Plus I dont like using the notes system as a way of talking. It clutters up my commission information and makes it harder to find. Thats not so much annoying but you know.
15. What is the most annoying/offending comment you've received?
I've had a few but I'd rather just forget them then talk about them.
16. What/who inspires you?
music a lot of times. Also as corny as it sounds, my state of being and emotions do too. Also seeing really amazing art that makes me motivated to be better.
17. Everyone has considered leaving FA once or twice. Have you? Why?
Well the feedback on this site isnt what I've consider the very best. The reason I basically stopped taking adult commissions for the most part was because people posted comments that made me feel like my hard worked art was a tasty piece of meat that they were salivating over. (which is why i don't offer adult commissions anymore if you were wondering. Except in very rare situations) The constructive criticism is low but i feel like that applies to most sites. Its never been enough to make me really want to leave though. I live drawing animals and people here like seeing animal art. C:

Update!
Posted 12 years agoHey everyone! I know last week was a little crazy with the outage but I still wanted to jump on here and explain where the hell I went. My week got kinda messed up tbh. Mon, Wed, and Fridays are my commission work days but I spent monday, tuesday, and wednesday dealing with taking my car to and from mechanics and dealerships trying to figure out what was wrong with it and why it wouldnt start. Thursday and friday and friday were spent doing two separate projects for school as well. Super sorry for not being able to touch any commissions during this week and I'm gonna try to spend a bit of time on them today while getting back on track tomorrow for my normal work schedule. Just wanted to apologize for the week delay on anything, especially anything high up on the queue. I'll be getting to those tomorrow or wednesday~

It's been really great having more time to work on digital art and commissions again with my schedule a bit more free and I'd like to be able to continue doing freelance instead of trying to balance a job with the school I do have. Fox Star Pattern on fabric!
Posted 12 years agoSo I got some great feedback on the pattern i just uploaded and many of you said you'd love to see it on bandanas or fabric and one of my watchers linked me to a pretty cool site where you can turn designs into fabric.
WELL I honestly don't mind if you use the site to turn the design into fabric for your own personal, nonprofit use. Go ahead. I would appreciate however that if you do grab some fabric from the design to perhaps drop a dollar or two in my tip jar. (:

I'll be going to Chicago at the end of the month for a Pokemon TCG tournament hosted by the 3 time world winner Jason Klacynzki himself. (Check it out here)It'll be a great way to break in the new season but I'd like to earn some extra funds for wiggle room and spending money while I'm up there. To raise some funds I'll be doing some rough colored sketches all day on sunday, and since I"ll be doing sketches all day and it will be a special occasion, they'll be discounted.
