Hey all finally another update about things going on here. So lately I've been working away at fewer concepts but more illustrations. I am getting ready to open my own print shop so for people interested in either concept/illustration posters, as well as concept art sketch books, those should be available soon! I should be printing and binding them myself to help cut on costs, and keeping quality up! Aside from that their should be some more goodies in the up coming 6 months as I've started working on some story book illustrations with a friend of mine (who happens to be a friend of Neil Gaiman :)) and it should be an awesome surreal journey through the forest of the mind!

So summer is rolling around and theres a swath of good games, and (terri-)bad games, and i was wondering what people were looking forward to this year?
I know personally LA noir was a title I was looking forward to, and so is Skyrim (woo free copy!)

Ill say after playing Heavy Rain (http://www.metacritic.com/game/play.....n-3/heavy-rain) , sobbing on my sofa and screaming (Shawn!) for my lost children in the night I will say my standards for moving and creative story were pretty high and the overall lighting look of LA noir didnt honestly do it for me. It might be their lighting system, or the uncanny valley that LA Noir landed in when they skipped over noir style lighting and forgot to budget for a legit lighting artist/programmer. Having said all of that, its still a good game (im just art picky hah) and it is def worth a play though. The voice acting is solid and there are some lols worthy moments (as with heavy rain) where the camera and the funny controls kinda derp you into a corner. BUT after all that I recommend both and both games have an 80+ metacritic score!

Brink.... Well...i will say, dont get it on console. There are a handful of people who preach that console shooters are the way and the only way to go, but those people..they are crazy hah (i cant play console L4D2 >:C ). I originally got the console version thinking that it would be fun and i could get a steam key later. I ended up exchanging my copy of brink for the PC box one, and warning others that as a shooter its just so much nicer on PC. The game seems like its built for the quicker reactions of a PC setting than a console and I would honestly say that the majority of its bad reviews come from a poor console experience as well as some iffy game design decisions like COUGH COUGH NO WOMEN (and although other shooters dont have women, its their reasoning that i argue about, not so much just the fact that there arnt women, because traditionally shooters lack women. Buuuuuut im def not one for tradition).
I was pretty appalled as well at the fact that their excuse for not including women was "game balancing" when you can already choose body types and according heights as well as adjust hit-boxes for all of those, but apparently not for women (we arnt that different...really...cmon) I shelved the game after that statement was released because as a game developer I knew it just wasnt true ( and you shouldnt believe it either) and couldnt stand looking at the game that i knew was ready to say "1000 choices for men is better than 10 for both men and women" Brink is def still worth a test run and I do recommend giving it a whirl but before you praise the art and go bananas about it check out where the art style came from!

Even though I work at a zenimax company they are super secret and honestly...I dont know what to expect at all(no one tells me anything hah) ! I love fantasy games and im always waiting for companies to roll out a new big title game like Skyrim,(( and Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning (I worked on that one! and trust me :) its gonna be worth every penny!)) that bring dragons, awesome muscly orcs, and cat people into the lime light with some awesome combat and some su-pah sweet environments.

The holidays are here, and just for me, oh how sweet my snake is, Kazuo my Kunashiri island japanese rat snake has finally decided to switch from live mice, to frozen thawed, yay! So not only does this protect him from possible bites, and the mouse going through a horrible scary and painful death (it also saves me a ton of money in the long run!)

Along with my snakes awesome early Christmas present for me, i got the usual package from my parents including things that will make me feel chub chub. But! got some great treats and....still havnt sent out my cards yet because im a terrible person... ): BUT i at least have enough money now to get everyone gifts!

Last year I made my resolution of no more sodas!
which i will let you know, ive done it! i have not had a soda for one whole year! and fast food in about 7 years! (woo!) This year i want to try to do another good deed and maybe lock something else down that can help out my life and the life of animals and the planet a little bit more :)

-only eating sustainable or organic foods (gonna make me loose some weight because its so fucking expensive, but happy animals is better than fucked up sad depressing animals ): )

-doing at least one volunteer job a month- there are a lot of shelters and places that could really benefit from someone who knows a lot about reptiles and has time to share with creatures in need. so this option i would make sure i picked a place where i could show up (hopefully on a weekly basis) and help them out, take them for walks or play with them or clean cages, even donate some of my supplies that i dont need and are still in good condition.

In other news,
I had recently saved a snake from an owner who had been mistreating her for two years. She was a wild snake this guy thought would be great to catch and keep as a pet in his office, she was a baby black rat snake, a little girl. As well as taking this snake from the wild, he provided her with no heat pad, little food, and couldnt take the time to clean her own feces out of her cage weekly.

When i met this guy he was hoping to get rid of the snake because he didnt have time for her anymore. She was a big biter and was underweight, she was starving her bones were sticking out and you could feel her spine ):
So! at the moment of finding out I could save her I did! I scooped her up and gave her a heat pad and began feeding her more. She got fatter and for 3 months I had her on the way to being a perfectly healthy happy snake!

But...just three weeks ago the poor snake got sick..and nothing seemed to make her better, then she showed signs of neurological damage....after rushing her to a reptile specialist and getting blood tests done we realized that she didnt have an infection of any kind, and that her health was related to the two years of her entire life being so poorly cared for. Her organs were failing and it had caused a horrible build of of chemicals in her body causing permanent brain damage.

Sadly after three long weeks of tube feeding her water and food, giving her shots every other day and multiple vet visits, she began having seizures and passed away in the night. It was a horrible night and that was the first time any of my pets have passed away. I only knew her for 3 months but man i loved her so much, and it made me sick to know that people dont care for the animals they decide to take, and to have them die in the way she did...it was awful and I hope no other human has to witness the pain she was in when we rushed her to the vet, seizing, biting herself, vomiting and then becoming paralyzed....

So this month, for Zen! The black rat snake! She was little and young! fought hard and in the end went to snakey heaven ):
The day after she passed we took her out to a meadow where we saw birds and grasshoppers, buried her in the middle of the field surrounded by trees and said good bye. It was heart breaking to see her go ): and to anyone who has ever had a pet pass, I def. know how you feel....

But again...dont let it get you down! if anything let this be a chance for you to work up the courage to try and save and animal you see in need before it is too late for them!

Hey everyone!

So I'm running a bit late this month on my character concept but she is in color at this moment. I will be postponing the next character word drawing for a while until i get this one finished but I will be doing one more concept before I graduate!

So, between changing jobs recently parents divorcing and a whole slew of college graduation related things, I'm doing okay and I will get it done : ) No worries!

Watchers and Viewers please read! You could win some free art...stuff!

Hello all, and thanks for reading/watching/commenting. The first semester of my senior year has just come to an end, and im looking to continue finding inspiration in as many places as I can. So, I came up with a plan; This up coming semester once a month I will be drawing words from word jars to inspire my next character concept. The project will be one character a month (aprox 4weeks) taken from thumbnail sketch, to refined sketches, then to final and finish. The thing is, I want YOU, the viewers (ladies and sirs) to give me the words to pick from! In the end if your word is chosen to be one of the three I will be drawing, you will win a free small print (oversized postcard size) of the character signed, when it is completed!

Here come the formalities. To submit a word, I will be asking watchers/viewers to post a word, make sure it is in quotes and separate from any other comments you might leave so that I know what your word is. Also, I am looking for Verbs, Nouns, and Adjectives; and so will go the posting order. If you wish to enter the first person to post MUST POST A VERB, then the second poster will post a NOUN, third an ADJECTIVE, and it will continue in that order. (so ideally, the posts will carry on as verb,noun,adjective,verb,noun,adjective; so on and so forth until the drawing of the words begin at the first of the month).
Anyone is welcome to enter, and please do not submit the same word that some one else has posted, or the second person to post a word will have the word removed from the list. Also, please no profanities or other wise obscene words, as they too will be removed. And as a last note, please only post once, so everyone has a chance to win, and ill be keeping track!

So i picked up a copy of animal crossing city folk (gamestop had a sale) and i dont have a mic, and only a few days into my city i didnt know if anyone had a friend code or anything to share so i might be able to pick up an axe or a slingshot while i wait for my store to upgrade, or a different type of fruit (i have pears in my town) as well as hang out and get an invitation to redd's shop (that i can give away).

So we went to the store yesterday and picked up some new things like Samurai 7 the box set and a copy of we <3 katamari! as well as a couple other things like valkuria cronicles for ps3 and what not, and harry potter on blueray. BUT! tomorrow the real shopping happnes! were headed out to get paint for the kitchen, a new toaster and a whole new set of dishes! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2200085/ (thats my mate driving down the road! always rainin always drivin)

Its been raining out here in Baltimore a lot, but has finally cleared up a bunch, so were really taking that chance to get out and get some stuff done! and with hope i will still get to do some work and play some katamari, with finals for my JR! semester in college coming up im really excited to become a senior! XD Im also glad that im still working, i really love my job and i hope people pursuing the gaming industry continue to do so! its hard to get into and takes a lot of work but is worth all of it.

Also i would like to thank all the people who have been faving and watching, i really appreciate more people looking at my work. I know a lot of my work is not Fur based most of the time and i try to do character updates and post more frequently, but i will see what i can do about posting more fur art : ) i know i need to! :o

So Ive made it back from spring break ( i didnt go any where, i went to work!) And the fancy thing is i have my new fan-dangled job i never really got back to people on! I am currently a concept artist at Firaxis games! woo! ah, the concept artist life...the life of glamor and starlight...not really, im an environmental concept artist so i specialize in houses and other objects that you would see in the environment for the games you play...so...psh...why make environments? thats not as cool as a character... LIES! environments let you give personality and history to the world that youre creating! you get to be god! be it tractors trees chairs tables potted plants or cathedrals! you get to do it all and in thousands of varieties! (you also get paid more *raises brow*) why you might ask? because no one wants to do it ):
so yeah work! ive been doing that now, making money and working on SUPER SECRET GAMES! thats probably the only down side, you cant talk about anything (not till they tell you, you can) its tough, you get to see some pretty cool stuff, but its not all cool shit and cupcakes, its tough work, but i think it is the thing for me : )

AND in other news!
Im moving in with my mate! hes not antrho or furry or anything and tries to ignore that im an avian but he loves that im odd and what not. He too is an artist for a videogame company (he graduated last year, and has been with his company sense!) But were moving in together and with hope i can take some pictures of our down town Bmore diggs!

AND! last night at about 2 am, we heard a flurry of gunshots in the distance...maybe 4 or 5 streets over...it was very scary...so we cuddled and what not.

I was recently sick *cough cough* one day it caught me and i felt really shitty, then ended up passing blood and that was really scary! then later in my cries of pain and as i crawled into the doctors office found out i had a kidney infection (oh boy) but im on medicine for it now, and back at work, as well as school, and not dying, SO! there will be more art, fear not!
