Still in a little bit of pain. It's a constant thing, but like a 1 or 2 out of 10 at best, just very annoying and makes concentrating not great. But it's better every day, so I've started back at it. Just going to take a lot of rewrites. Thankfully I'm doing a goofy, non-serious story now. My new job (sorta) is probably going to be a lot more demanding and nerve-wracking, so I don't know how that will effect productivity. But I'll be traveling a lot and won't have a lot to do in the downtime, so it may end up giving me more time to write that way.

Order of operations:
1 - Goofy Greek mythology chimera story (started today)
2 - Much more serious werewolf-on-human romance
3 - A comedic story about how Josie's day-to-day goes
4 - Sequel to Hollow Eyes, heavy on romance, trauma recovery, and character development

Outlines and dialogue for all are done, so just a matter of actually, you know, writing them. The most annoying part of writing.

Had very minor surgery, but it's left me kinda in a bit of pain for a while. I have multiple stories I'm working on, and my output rate has definitely improved as of late, but it may slow down for a few weeks. Hopefully that's all.

First draft done. A pretty long one detailing my own take on identity death and why I hate it. A pretty dark one, but with a few happy twists and turns. Taking weekend off probably, but hopefully have it up next week.

Mostly healed from shingles. I don't recommend it in any way. If your friends are doing shingles and offer shingles to you, just say no. My face looked like Freddy Kreuger's nutsack.

So a lot of it is done, in fact most of it is done. It'll be a little longer than I'd anticipated (par for the course), but still pretty short, like 10-15 pages. BUT then God pulled a bitch move and gave me shingles. Fucking. Shingles. Of all the bullshit. In the past three months (and some change) I've had bronchitis, covid, and now fucking shingles. So the story is delayed, but will be up right in time before I come down with the bubonic fucking plague or something.

After that, probably another lighthearted short chimera TF (not Candice or Mark), then a heavier relationship-centered werewolf romance.

Sexy chimera goofball adventures available soon. Have gone through one complete pass. I'll do one more and then start grammar checking. I think this is my new favorite.

Sequel to the chimera TF has one more scene and it's ready for proofreading and rewrites. I'll be at Furnal Equinox next weekend. Come say hi and let's grab a beer or twelve.

I don't know if anybody ever reads these. I certainly don't. But I felt like I should announce that a new story is done, it's fucking long (75 pages), but it'll be another week. I had hoped to have it done before running off to Furnal Equinox and I've got it proofread, but need to go over it again and I don't want to rush it because I'm pretty happy with it and don't want to eff it up.

Happy I didn't release anything early as I was thinking about doing a week ago. Thanks for those of you who commented on doing that. I need to learn to take it slow and make sure I'm happy with what I've done before throwing it out there. I ended up rewriting a lot of the first nine pages that I was about to just release and I'm much happier with it now. I'm at around 15 pages for part two, and I feel I'm about to the halfway point for this part. I knew part one was going to be the shortest, with parts two and three probably being the longest, and part four probably halfway between the extremes.

Anyway, just dropping a line to say I'm working on it and I'm really happy with how it's going so far. I've got two other story ideas, and they'll be just regular old TF stories but I really wanted to devote a lot of time to this. It's a story I'm very interested in telling and hopefully some people will enjoy it. It's more of a time investment than a lot of other stories out there, but I really want to get everything right. There are a lot of plot threads I'm trying to get in order but I'm having a lot of fun with it. There WILL be transformation sexy time goodness, but I want to tell a more complex story around all of the normal TF sex stuff. "Normal." Right. Hehe.

So, I'm about a quarter of the way into the second act of Desire and it's already longer than the first part. Would it be better to release it in chunks, or to wait until the whole of the second act is done? The reason I ask is I'd like to get more serious stuff out there (not that bat people mindlessly fucking is a bad thing), but the sexy bits of this act won't come about until the very end.

So, better to release in chunks with no sex stuff, or to wait until it's all done so you can get your fill of glorious, glorious werewolf banging? Chime in if you have an opinion. I'm off to bed before I have to go wake up and go to work standing in a field slamming blunt objects into heavy things that cost more than I could make in a lifetime. Life is ridiculous and defies all understanding.

Well, not everything. I said that my next story would be mostly simple TF pr0n to cut my teeth. But I have come up with a plot that I really, really like. I spent a few days writing out the outline, and it comes to 7 pages (all simple plot summaries, but 7 complete pages). Each sentence is probably a paragraph, so this is going to be a short series. There are a lot of plot twists and dramatic reveals that I wanted to make sure I got completely right. Part of the criticism about my last story was that people couldn't tell the difference between the parts I intended to leave open ended and the parts that weren't flushed out enough (a criticism I strongly agree with). So this time I knew that I couldn't make up stuff on the fly and had to plot out exactly when things would be foreshadowed, when they would be intentionally vague, and when they would be eventually revealed. I hope I do a good job with this, I really do. Because of all the pre-planning, I think I'm going to be able to release it in chunks. There are four acts, but each act will be rather long and I'll probably break those acts down into individual releases on this page.

So, to make a long story short, I'm very much looking forward to introducing you to Lura's world. Or at least what's left of it after I'm finished. Coming soon: The Broken World: Desire.
