did the suit parade today in Big Mac and we had a pretty good turnout for a first year con with an official count of 94 Suiters!!
overall having a great time and will see y'all at FCN next weekend where i will be trying out the artists alley with custom hand painted masks and chainmaille!!

elevator situation sucked, but that goes with any multi-floor con so...meh
amused the hell out of me watching people stand around and bitch, moan, whine and complain about the elevators when they were only going anywhere between floors 5 and 9, there are perfectly good escalators that ran between all of those floors >.<

heading down to AZ to hang out with ino89777 and go to the AZ ren fest before we drive over to the con, then we're headed up to my place here in MN for a couple weeks before i have to head off for FWA.
Will be dealing at both TFF and FWA with danji-isthmus
will have my usual selection of leather cuffs along with some new items!!

goin through Airport security
my 2 bags get through bag security just fine, declared my pistol and all that, no hiccups there
go through the gate security with my carry ons, no issues
standard flight, plane went up, came back down, met ino89777 in the terminal ^_^
went and met
starlawolf and went out for noms and chatted for a while
got to ino's,
open my carry on
proceed to pull out my pocketknife...

Had a awesome time and am already making plans for next year so you will most certainly see this hoss out there again!!

elden has lost his battle in the hospital today. Life can change so quickly and some times it can take what you hold the closest away. 
wolfgem lost not just her beloved boyfriend, but all 4 of her dogs too. All because one man decided to drink and drive.
elden was and still is a hero. He pushed his girl wolfgem out of the way of a 80 MPH speeding car.He sacrificed his life for another and that is what true love is.
Please help support 
and there family in this nightmare and shed some light.

CONvergence - it begins
Posted 13 years agoheaded in to CONvergence today and got my badge, that went nice and smooth, check in area is very well set up this year.
next stop, conswag, hit up the constore for this years t-shirt and what i ran into on the way blew my mind
they have an artists alley this year
now having said that in previous years it may have been in another area that i either didn't visit or didn't notice, but it was a welcome surprise.
wandered around a bit more with a few loops through dealers before heading out
headed back in the morning in full con mode, just finished up a new set of clydesdale legs that i'll be rocking along with my armor.
would be wearing Cerros but it's death hot and i still haven't fixed the fan in his head xP
Hopefully i'll have him operational so i can see if he'll pass for a pony on sunday for the MLP panel

After an appropriate period of deliberation, I have come to the decision to tender my resignation from (Company Name), effective (date).
Please know that I still maintain a high level of respect for you as a manager and colleague, and I thank you sincerely for the support and assistance you have offered me in each of those roles. I have been proud to work for (Company Name) over the past twelve years; it has been a journey that has provided me an unparalleled foundation to move forward to new and exciting opportunities.
As such, I have decided to become a professional pirate. It has always been a dream of mine to live the life of a swashbuckling corsair, beholden to none and master of all I survey. Once my crew of unabashed rogues is assembled, we shall take to the capacious expanse of the high seas to pursue fortune, fame, and hair-raising adventure.
Our path may not be filled with the porcine comforts and technological marvels that (Company Name) provides, but we shall nonetheless move forward to carve a name for ourselves in the annals of bold insurgency and death-defying derring-do. Once I have a keen blade at my hip and the Jolly Roger is flapping high above me, I believe I will find my true calling.

trying to finish up the last of my items that i was planning on delivering at AC
and of course...the pony curse strikes again
my nice shiny new singer sewing machine just started going haywire
is putting out too much thread on the underside so it's just a stream of floof, breaking needles, binding up, and generally not wanting to work even on just a single layer of cotton broadcloth
i've already done every maintenance action i can think of or find in the owners manual so....i dont know....

Posted 13 years agowent to my first FCN this last weekend and had an awesome time.
hung out with some awesome peoples, got plushiehugs from which made me a happysquealyhoss, kept getting this strange 
shaped growth on my back which was fun x3
roomed with
and amato
had a blast running around in my horse suit clippycloping over the tile floors and even got to wear my skunk maid on sunday night
got some great art from various artists until i hit the point where i was almost endangering my gas money for the drive back to MN x3 [and of course that was also the point when i really started finding stuff]
i'm looking for any pics that were taken of me in my clydesdale suit from the majority of the con and my skunk maid from sunday night.
next up is AC and delicious maple bacon donuts from fernandos

ETS leave, a new chapter begins in this warhorse's life

My rifle is on the wall.
No longer active duty,
yet always ready for the call.
So today i began my terminal leave after nearly 8 years as a SGT with the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, 3rd BCT, 1-32nd Infantry regiment.
nearly 3.5 of that spent on 3 tours in Afghanistan.
In a couple months my contract will fully expire and my new contract with the reserves will begin, it's going to be strange going from Army Infantry all day every day to 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year as a Chemical NCO.
We'll see how things go i guess
Really looking forwards to FCN in a few weeks here, gonna have a great time there and planning on AC and some other cons as well [pending reserve schedule]
so all in all looking forward to the future and whatever it may bring.
