i dont truely want much, as i am someone who gives rather then takes,

after this year however i would say

but yea thats my 'wish list' just things i kinda want you know, i know most people post there amazon wishlists and people go though it and others can be gennerious but i aint wanting to do that, i just want to share what i would like, people do this ever year.

but i see the above things (the tv and the laptop) as something i will replace becuse i aint one to ask XD

OK SO to start off i will list off 4 things

1) THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS (this one will save me some shit later haha.)

2) I am writing this as a big fan of the final fantasy series but also as someone who has a diploma in game design as well as an avid gamer, i will be critical and i will tear apart where i see applicable

3) I will be writing this as such Characters - Story -Controls - Battle - Cutscenes (as in presentation) followed finaly by my thoughts (+score).

Notible terms i will be using
Nifflehiem - the empire aka the bad guys, they are made of multiple nations but the main two are Garlea (the Garlean people) and Tennabrea (The Tennabrean people)
Lucis - the home ragon of Noctis (The Lucian people.)
Eos - the name of the planet
Ragalia - the name of Noctis' car given to him by his father.
Astrals - the name of the 6 gods Titan, the Archaean, Ramuh, the Fulgurian, Shiva, the Glacian, Leviathan, the Hydraean, Bahamut, the Draconian and Ifrit, the Infernian,
Magitek - A portmantau of Magical Technology.
Deamons - litteraly the olde spelling of Demons.
Crystal - The crystal is a recorring theme in Final Fantasy, and is it's own entity when i write about it it can be context sensative between the entity and the crystal as a pysical object.
BROTHERHOOD: Final Fantasy XV - The anime series comprised of 5 episodes released to give more infomation of the cast. and yes it is in all caps.
KINGSGLAVE: Final Fantasy XV - the tie-in movie featuring a whole different cast of charecters, giving more infomation of the world and charecters. and yes this is in all caps as well
MT - the short hand for Magitek Troops, this is the main troops of of the Empire's troops



The Characters

i will go by by listing the main and notible characters

Noctis Lucis Caelum.
The main charecter and currently the only playable charecter (other charecters were told to be playable in future DLC) The son of Regis Lucis Caelum Hier to the throne, as well as the child of prophicy to be the True King to banish the Darkness, Bewed to Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, his journy starts as a arrogant and cocky prince who is kind to those who do not see him as a prince, in the BROTHERHOOD anime he is shown to mainly have a colder front when people adress him royaly due to his dislike of the responcibility he will inherit, using the road trip with his friends as a way to have some freedom before the wedding, however as the story progresses he learns what it is to be king and he adapts to this role well, with the inspirering words from his body-gaurd, caretaker and his best friend he learns that he is the king and he accepts his responcibility, however during his journy he learns of his fathers death and his kingdom's fall kicking him into a depresson. before taking vengance against those who did him and his people wrong, when confronted by Ardyn After learning he was the main playmaker in all that has happend he is wrathful and angry blinded by rage to gain his revenge for his father and his people. however he dose make mistakes and learns from them. and as shown in game and in brotherhood, can be extreamly kind in his own way to those who are kind to him and see him as a person insted of a prince.

Lunafreya Nox Fleuret.
Lady Lynafreya (or luna as i shall type so i dont have to panic i am spelling it wrong) is the current oracle, a person who communicates with the six Astals. She is the woman bewed to Noctis and is the youngest Oracle in Eos' history And is a major figure head in the beleaf of the people. she is kept under watch from nifflehiem's watchthe wedding of her and Noctis was meant to spell Peace between the Lucian kingdom and the Nifflehiem empire.

Gladiolus Amicitia.
The Body Gaurd of Prince noctis also dubbed "the Royal Shield" he acts as simmilar to a big brother to noctis, we see in BROTHERHOOD, he originaly disliked working wth noctis until he saw the 'royal brat' had a soft spot for his little sister taking the blame for something she did so she was not punished, he also learnt that noctis disliked being told what WILL happen, when noone talked to him as a normal person and so gladio acted more friendly to him and saw noctis' more relaxed side, years later and he is by the side of noctis along with the others, more relaxed with the prince he acts in my view as the big brother to the prince.

Ignis Scientia.
Ignis is the manservant of the prince, placed to take care of the young prince. even in the events of the game long after BROTHERHOOD he still cares after the prince by doing tasks, Shopping, cooking, driving and even mending the princes attire, he acts like a mother for a lack of a better comparason, however there is a great respect to noctis as ignis is very loyal to the royal line, and he takes grate pride in his job, he is a friend of noctis but he sees his job first friendship second. when blinded in the future after bickering with others he snaps yelling at everyone for the bickering, but sees his new disability as his own problem and quickly finds a solution to work around it, still trying his best to keep his regal attitude.

Prompto Argentum.
Noctis' best friend, since high school, Prompto is a keen photographer who was shown in BROTHERHOOD to be a very overweight child who was to shy to talk to Noctis and lost weight and became a avid runner just to talk to him, now he is always by noctis' side normaly as a way of comic releaf in the group, with the gang he is free living and still an avid photographer, he is later revealed to be a MT and though the Official guide of the game he is revealed to be the Bioloical son of a Nifflehiem researcher. he is extreamly loyal to his friends, enjoying the time he has with them.

Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII.
The Father of Noctis, he is the 113th king of the lucian bloodline, he is the sole reason the kingdom of lucis and the Crowned city of Insomnia has not fallen to the empire prior to the games events, in KINGSGLAVE it is revealed his life force is being used to fuel the 'new shield' a giant magical barrier protecting the Monarchal City from invasions, as well as the sole main way of using the 'old wall' which is the use of the old kings in a tempory summon, he was killed during the KINGSGLAVE film (which events take place during chapter 1 of the game) he was shownt to be very kind but also more protective of his son over his own people mainly due to the prophasy he knew of, but he would do anything to protect his people.

Ardyn Izunia./ Ardyn Lucis Caelum

Ardyn Lucis Caelum was the original bearer of that name and clensed the world of a plauge that turned men into monsters over thousands of years ago, however after being deemed impure by the crystal he was cursed with eternal life, after living for thousands of years, he now works with the nifflehiem empire teaching them secrets he knows via the plauge to create MT's and use the Daemons as a subject to the empires study, he wants the prophasy to play out for two reasons, to either a) gain the death he seeked years ago, or b) to destroy the 'true' king and get his revenge for being cursed. he meets noctis under the sudonym of Ardyn Izunina. and goads and guides noctis into living out his part of the prophesy, due to his corruption from a plauge he somehow made an greement with ifrit the creator of the plauge, and the two began working togeather. and from this his actions have guided the world to fuffil the prophasy.

The Crystal and The ring of the Lucii
not charecters per say. but the Crystal is a key entity of Light and is the guiding way to clense the world of darkness, also the entity that grants noctis his powers. the ring of the Lucii is a ring given to the first of the lucis bloodline (not ardyn however) as a way to channel the light each king generates during there life, the final king the 114th (aka noctis) would be able to use this ring to clense the whole world of light, however those not of this bloodline would burn away into ash the moment they put it on, while those of nobal worth can be burned slowly taking a lot of damage to there body but not taking there life.

THE STORY


So the story is of Prince Noctis of the Land of Lucis, the main town being the Crown City of Insomnia, who is told by his father that he is to marry a woman named Lunafraya, The Oracle of the land of Tennabrea in the Empire of Niffelhiem, Togeather with his Butler Ignis, his Body-Gaurd Gladio and his best bud Prompto they make there way to go to the Wedding.

BUT OF CORSE things do not go as smoothly as one would imagen, the game begins with the car they are in (the Ragalia) Brakes down, forcing them to push it to the nearest Garage, Hammerhead, once repaired they head to catch the farry but just missed it, so spent the night where they found out Noctis' home town and father the king, have both fallen, and from here they now adventure to get to Lunafraya,

from here we are led though the regions of Lucis, Duscae, Cleigne and you then travil to both Altissia and Nifflehiem it self

you learn of Ayrn the high counsellor of nifflehiem and main antagonist, and from here he guides you though most of the game guiding you to your goal of getting to Altissia, then to Garlea.
While in garlea in chapter 11. the game tone shifts into a survival horror for a while then back to the main game as you find out Arydin is the source of all the daemons in the world, as well as the main puppiter of the whole source of the corruption in the world, a old lucian man who bared noctis' last name and was royalty before being ostracised and banished by a jellious king until his original time was erased from history.

finally realising his destiny noctis heads back to his home to the throne, to kill Ardyn sacrificing himself in the process to protect the world from the encroaching darkness so that dawn may happen again.

Controls

OK so there are three types of controls i used the main Type-a so this is what i will critizise

to give a quick run down this is the controls for the main controls.
Circle - attack / sprint (held)
Squere - Phase [dodge]
Triangle - warp (a quick move)
X - Jump and interact
L1 - Techniques
R2 - chocobo and items.

the biggest gripe i have with this is, X is both interaction and jump, while your moving slightly you will jump unless the interaction is lit up, and even then most of the time you will jump, want to talk? NOPE YOU JUMP, some would swear noctis was a jump rope champion.
also R1 is the lock on and yet, it has no option to make it a toggle, which means in quick game sessions, you would and often let go of it for a moment and boom your now switching between every enemy who is close to you.

also the controls do not show or discribe the difference between HELD and PRESSED, (and the (hold) i say above dose not count) for excample a large shield comes up, with a squere and a down arrow on the squere, it implied heavily you press squere, nope you need to hold onto it but other then that the controls are not that bad.

Battle.
The battles in this game are very fast, and can be very exciting however this isnt following the traditional Final Fantasy Experience.
This game, plays with the more active battle style of Modern RPG's getting rid of the classic ATB of the older final fantasy games, and while this has it's issues now and then, there is a Wait mode, that can give you precious seconds, to think and plan ahead, and if you plan your upgrades well, you can use wait mode indefinitely.
in battle, a block-able attack is always indicated with the monster's model flashing black and white, which for larger models is fine, but on smaller models like tonberries ( a classic Final Fantasy monster) is tricky. but you do get a massive shield on your screen most of the time, if your the target.

on much larger targets say the Adamantoise the camera becomes a major issue, agaisnt this one boss to target a single spot that would do the most damage is a very tricky thing to do, and most quick bosses that have multiple points, you wont find it easy to target one part you want without wait mode, and even then it is a pain.



Cutscenes.
first things first, the pre-renderd scenes, are gorgious, and the in game cutscenes are also quite gorgious, but heres my thoughts on that

the cutscenes do well to show the pace of the game as well as showing the actions done for normal activities quite alot of things have a short cutscene with them to give it life, going to camp shows a small cutscene in whch the four main charaters interacting with one another.

however some of the cutscenes do have wierd motions to me, but this is due to them being motion capped with japanese actors and doing what i can presume to be japanese body language, which is odd to me, but they can also have a few shots that dont work in the composition, but others are beautyfully made

with KINGSGLAVE, alot of the scenes did a lot of jump cuts, and it needed to focus on alot more shots.


My thoughts.

now after waiting 10 years for this game to come out i was hyped, i was interested in the original story of FF13 and FF vs13 (Ff15's original title.) but when i herd that it was shelfed before being worked on again, i was hyped but held out a bit of salt , and for what we got, i was plesantly happy with the way the game turned out,
i love the charecters, the way they interact with another and the feel of familiarity between the four is refreshing, however the lines of dialoug spoken in english is quite limited, and do repeat quite often, when playing the game for a long time, meny times have i won a battle to hear prompto yell out "NOCT another one out heh heh" or "WE'RE ALIVE, let's celebrate by eating something DEAD!" although funny hearing theese lines up to 12 times in a row becomes extreamly annoying,

the changes in the genere were a nice touch for the context needed a slight solo horror near the end of the game while noctis is alone and unable to use weapons dose bring up the fear of the moment and the fact you can only save at certan points means getting caught could mean you losing all your progress to that point, the theme was brilliant and so was the tone, but this brings another issue, at that point the only way to kill is to use the ring of the lucii and cast Death which has you drain the enemy until there model becomes broken and distorted a good visual queue but this also looks rather stupid and silly when interupted, you suddenly have this broken model walking around and hitting you just as strong as a normal model.

a context sensative animation for enemies drained would of been a nice thouch showing them to be more sluggish, but in this case, you cannot open doors to escape and half the time while caught the 'battlefield' covers the whole thing so your have to kill to run away or progress, and this gets tedious fast, also with the ring it has a very powerful AOE death spell that during the last chapter kills ANYTHING in it's AOE (aera of effect) however post game i noticed this spell dose NOTHING to anything, even level 3 monsters from the very start of the game dont get effected by this and it kills the spell for me. like sure have it miss high level monsters but at least let me instant kill that 4000th horde of tiny doggo's who want my splean.

the weapons are interesting but i felt some of the typing and animations could of had more flare the more 'unique' weapons being the royal arms only a few have unique animations to them (ignoreing weapons that were flat out unique in them i.e the shurrican and the tower shield) most had very simmilar if not the same animations , a unique fighting style per weapon (espechaly the higher tierd weapons) would of been grate, allowing more stratagy of this sword is fast but hits less, this sword is slow but not as slow as a greatsword but hits harder. and that would of been a nice touch, same with the spears, a spear tells you it is biult for mid air combat, so why not give it a unique move set that forces you into the air, with a on ground moveset being mainly to gain distance or to push the enemy's away.

the truely unique weapon was the cerberus which allowed you to go into 1st person mode and shoot a enemy to brake a part of it off, while 1st person shooters are not my thing this brings a whole new layer of stratagy while running into battle, and gives it a whole new taste of approch.

The enviroments are beautyful but van become bland very quickly, with duscae being the main issue the area is nice dont get me wrong but half the time your running around a giant creator before you realise everything for that reagon is to the east of it, and theres practicly nothing to the west besides a base and a tomb.

the story at times also rushes alot of things, without going into context heavy it told alot of it with a nice touch of us learning it with noctis and the gang, but a few things are just over looked. you can only learn about ardyn in 1 cutscene where he says his backstory in 3 lines and from that were ment to get his whole motive, and the most infamous part is prompto saying he is a MT,
this was most likely ment to cement that MT's were people (to which Ardyn thoughout this chapter mentions but in a way to brake noctis) but it is glanced over and moved on almost imidiatly and you NEVER go into what a MT is again, but that could of had some amazing cutscene to go into it a lab where you saw the MT being made or hell fighting a half made one that was still partly human, simmilar to ONE BOSS in the game.

while on that subject, BOSSES.
ohhh boy dose the game like to go steep with the bosses, while there is a level system in the game, half the time it dosnt work, a level 12 monster may be weaker then a level 22 one, but the level 12 can hit harder and faster then the level 22 making it a bigger threat, seems simple right?

so how about level 32 monsters in HORDES with a level 28 BOSS, who is not only stronger faster and can somehow take more hits, but at that point of the game is so agressive you swear the 2 and the 8 are the wrong way round,
but thats not all, some bosses are extreamly aggressive and fast the camera system basicly shat the bed, you could have a clear line of site and , oh they jumped, well no problem lets move the camera up and lets see, oh there jumping.. in the air... in 5 directions, and then your attacked, becuse they were behind you almost imediatly. the final boss uses this but they show where he was and where he went by using simmilar tracers like they do with noctis' warp ability.

but now lets say this a level 99 BOSS and a level 82 common monster, whats more dangerious... did you say the level 82 common monster well your correct!

while a boss in a secret dungion can welcome you to the wrong nabourhood, the common monsters you have to fight on the way down will piss you off something fierce. Psycomancers have a 15% chance to kill you instantly PER HIT! and they have a breath attack which is a cone that hits 5 times. and the accsessory to protect from death only protects you with a higher chance.

i wasted more phoenix downs on this one enemy ALONE then to ALL of the hidden bosses. there is also a random encounter of a level-99 common enimy that will only take less then 100 damage and 1 shot you with ever hit, no matter your stats or level :D and the adamantoise superboss, that took 2 hours of real time, to kill it. i have the video on youtube shortend to 6 mins.

and finaly the hidden super optional dungeon..... square for the love of all that is holy, you made it beautiful, NEVER MAKE A PLATFORMER, that is a dungion that will show you EVERYTHING wrong with the controll scheme for a platformer.



as much as i complain at the end i complain about them becuse honestly, i love this game, and would reccomend anyone to play this, tho it is the 15th in the final fantasy main series you dont need to of played the previous 14 final fantasys but i would highly reccomend watching the BROTHERHOOD anime and the KINGSGLAVE movie, if your new to final fantasy and need the world biult up otherwise the game is going to do very poorly at that.

if i had to give it a score out of 100, i would put it easily at 80 to 85. although it is a very good game as i mentioned above, a anime and movie to just explain the world is poor on the games behalf and a bit more explanation on a few factors in the story would be good but ignoreing those i think they did well to make a game veterans of the series and newcomers would like

so 2 things to run this off

1) my dog clyde has bad arthritus and the Vet told us to keep an eye on her thoughout the winter, if she dosnt fare well then she will be put down in febuary to early match if she is in alot of pain other wise she may see a while longer, the vet did talk about amputating the leg causing her issues as it seems isolated to one of her legs but this could cause issues with the remaining legs due to her age,
so yea my dog hasnt been put down, but i am still keeping a close eye on her.


2) if anyone has me on Skype and sees a (?) next to my name and you wish to have me back on your contacts resend your contact deets, after purging a few random accounts skype bugged out and removed practicly all of them on my contacts most i got back by switching onto my phone which had a few of my friends on there but others may of vanished, so please resend your contact thing and i'll accept it,



also yea birthday went fine, stressful as fuck but i did get to have a little bit of fun and relaxing time on it.


oh double side note- i may have a job soon but not to sure as of yet. which means i might not have as much time for drawing making music ect, but i can ironicly spend more time on the computer to draw since i will have an outlet again.
this month has been hectic and i am more waiting for 2017 i want a year that dosnt suck.

i got told a old friend of mine  damian64 was killed in a car crash while going to his aunts..

the last time we spoke i left skype angrey.. and now thats the last memory of me he had and thats sitting on my conciance like a bloody rock

he was a kind person who i have known for a very long time back when i used to be in a dark place, one of the few people i could call friends becuse of it, he would always try t help, even if it was just to try and make someone smile..

and now, he is gone... it is almost surreal.. i keep looking at his skype to see a change kinda hoping it is a very dark and sick joke..
