Posted a year agoI didn't want to make this journal because I'm so bad when it comes to death and mourning, which is why I didn't say anything last night. But we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. And the more I think about it, the more I remember what an impact he's had on my life.
There aren't very many furries from my earliest years in the fandom who are still in it. Many of them "grew out of it." Some are still around, wanting to keep the magic and mirth with them as they grew older. Dragoneer is a name that's been around for so long, I'm actually more familiar with him as an artist than a site administrator. But he believed in perpetuating that mirth and magic so much, he created a place for furries to gather and share in it that ultimately became not just a milestone for furries, but a landmark for the internet as a whole. I know I wouldn't have the following I'd have without FA. In fact, I wouldn't have met some of the most cherished people in my life without FA. For that, I am grateful to Dragoneer.
But the way I remember Dragoneer the most is the one and only time I ever spoke with him. It was at Bronycon and only in passing, so it was brief, but also pleasant. As part of it, he said he liked my art, and I said I liked his. And that's no lie-- some of my oldest and fondest art was styled after his works. So even more than FA, I will always remember Dragoneer for the way he personally uplifted my life, helped me create, and made me feel like I'm doing something well. That's a very important feeling for some of us. Important enough that it gets me talking about him like we were close personal friends even though I only ever bumped into him the one time. Well, for what it's worth, thank you buddy.

I never know what to say for these con announcements because it's all in the title...
Did you know Atlas moths, the world's largest species of moths, lack a developed mouth and therefore cannot eat? The only live a few very energy-conservative days, relying entirely on fat deposits stored during their larval stage, during which they must mate and lay eggs before they die of starvation!
Of course you knew that. You played Animal Crossing.

PIC UPDATE: Wrong dialogue on my latest Wolf/Falco piece
Posted 2 years agoWow, I made a HUGE mistake.
As you may know, I have to resize pictures for FA since it has a way smaller image limit, and while doing so, I ended up leaving the dirty version dialogue on the clean version of that Wolf/Falco pic. Because of that, ONLY the FA version had that issue. Still, it was a major one.
But, I've fixed it, and the original dialogue has been restored. Again, I'm terribly, TERRIBLY sorry about that! I've been trying to be less perfectionist lately so I can get art out faster, and I think this incident set me back about year in terms of obsessing over details. >< You really can't proofread too much...

And of course, happy Thanksgiving! Regardless of whether or not you live in the States, like I mentioned in my Telegram channel, I don't have very many followers anywhere on the internet I plant my roots. FurAffinity, for all its flaws, is the place where I have the largest audience, and I am very thankful for that-- both the site for achieving enough of a draw that so many fuzzballs came together and provided a audience to which I can show my work, and especially all of said fuzzballs who found my page and said "Hey, this stuff is interesting! I think I'll stick around!" I don't want to get too personal here, but it really does mean the world that you care enough to stay, watch, enjoy, enjoy, and talk with me about the silly stuff I make and the things that bring us together. ^^ You are a part of my legacy, so thank you so very, very much, no matter where you are. =)

In the meantime, I tossed up another poll on Patreon to determine which sketch WIP I shall be coloring next! The contenders this time are Master Splinter and Figment the dragon! You can also find my completed(ish) piece of Pepe and Pitu on there too as early access! I say "completed(ish)" because it still needs dialogue, but I ran out of time before I had to start packing for my flight. >< I'll add it as soon as I get back!

Finally, all Charizard versions have been added!

2. Start making non-shirt alts for cumshirt pieces, go back and make one for Charizard
3. Wonder why I never did retracted foreskin/dirty alts because that pic was BEGGING for 'em, do them
4. People ask if the alts exist with the original cumshirt version
5. Start working on combining the two
6. Tablet dies, taking a ton of WIPs with it because I'm a doofus who didn't back them up in forever
7. Search in every location I may have exported artwork for anything I can salvage
Thankfully, the Charizard cumshirt/alt combinations are one of the few things I have been able to salvage, finally completing that series! If there were any combinations you were hoping for, you can find them on their respective with shirt/without the shirt submissions.

FA gallery full-res update complete!
Posted 5 years agoAs you might remember, I recently went back and retrieved the full resolution version of as much of my old artwork as possible and tossed them into a Google Drive folder (which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....2S?usp=sharing ). Just wanted to let you know I've updated the respective pages in my FA gallery for those pics with their full-resolution versions! And make sure to check the descriptions for links to the full res versions in case they exceed FA's 10 MB file size limit (which, unlike the 1280 px resolution limit, cannot be bypassed, unfortunately). Any pieces/pages that have not been updated are already in the largest resolution available. It might also just be easier to rummage through the folder itself. ^^; Once again, I kept the cleaner and dirtier stuff separate in case you don't want to risk stumbling across that.

Full resolution versions of my old art now available!
Posted 5 years agoWelp, I've done it! I've gone back to every piece of my public art and retrieved the full resolution version of as many of them as possible! Some have more than doubled in size! Sadly, not all of them were salvageable (mostly due to my own negligence in failing to archive the final version or using janky post-processing methods). Thankfully, most of what I consider to be my best work was able to be recovered. Therefore, any of my old art that doesn't appear in this collection either has their full size resolution already uploaded to my galleries or they're just not available in full resolution anymore. Watersports is included in the base folder, but anything dirtier than that is in its own folder so you don't have to worry about stumbling across that by mistake.

At the time of writing this, I have NOT yet updated my FA and IB galleries with the full resolution version of those pieces, but I will be doing that over time. And I'm sorry for not responding to anything on FA lately, the only times I've been on this site recently were to post art and then I forgot I did a thing. ^^; Which is weird, because most of my time has been consumed with furry art! I'm just too slow an artist... but there's some real good pics coming down the line! They're great ideas and they're coming along great! =) See you 'round, I hope!
