May - Back Again ^^
Posted 11 years agoHey there, guys. I'm back again with another entry. Sorry for not doing one back in April. Been busy as always. But I'm alright and here I am with to what I have to say. I like to thank for all the viewers who has managed to watch my page and I have reached 75K views. I'm hoping that it can go beyond that so keep it up guys. But I will have more work posted for all of you guys to see soon. ^^ :)
Anyway, Nintendo has big plans for all of us in store not just for this month but starting in June coming up. First for this month, it won't be long now till Mario Kart 8 finally comes out in May 30 for the Wii U. The best part of this is that for those who do not have a Wii U, Nintendo is giving out the bundle which comes with the console, a copy of Mario Kart 8, the Wheel accessory for the game and a Wii Remote Plus included in it. Quite a treat for there and something that can hopefully boost the sales for the Wii U in some way until Smash Bros 4 comes out first on the 3DS(this summer) and for the Wii U(this winter). One of the things that is finally revealed in Mario Kart 8 and I'm glad that they finally did it is that you can now stop the dreaded Spiny Shell if you're in first and it is about to hit you with a special item which is the horn(pretty much taken from Sonic All Stars Racing).
Next month in June, Nintendo has officially confirmed that they will not have a live press E3 conference and have sort of a Direct like they did last year. But this time it is going to be different because it will have a couple of things that will be going on the week of E3. First is the Smash Bros Invitational which they will invite 16 of the best Smash Players from around the world to play in the Nokia Theatre for the upcoming SSB4. Second is the Smash Bros. event at selected Best Buy stores throughout the United States to try out the upcoming SSB4 on the Wii U. Since the 3DS is coming out first and the roster from that version is going to be the same as the Wii U version, it won't be long now till we find out the rest of the roster. Third is the Nintendo Treehouse where it will be streamed at E3 in LA. Finally which is the most important that I see is the Digital Feed. The Digital Feed is where Nintendo is going to reveal upcoming games for the Wii U that we don't know yet that has yet to be revealed. Whatever they have on it, I hope that it is really good that will surprise us. Especially since Nintendo needs to not only bring out more games, but at the same time start bringing forth new entries from their established IPs that we have not seen in a while that is not Mario or Zelda related. Starfox and Metroid for example are 2 of the IPs that has been the most demanded for a while now to show up on the Wii U. In my personal opinion, I think that they may be better off now to bring forth new entries from their established IPs we have yet to see instead of a new IP since that is what the fans would prefer. Because look what happened to the Wondeful 101. As awesome the game was and I enjoyed it, the game unfortunately didn't do well in sales since it is a relatively new IP. Besides let's not forget earlier this year that Iwata mentioned that Nintendo is going to be more abundant with their other IPs that aren't Mario or Zelda and giving them to other developers so that they can work on them in licensing their IPs to them so that these developers can work on them. From this, now Nintendo has realized that they can't sit around and not do anything with these IPs. Don't get me wrong on this subject. As popular as Mario and Zelda are(I do love these IPs and am a fan of them), they can't rely on them anymore these days while continuing to ignore their other IPs in the first place that we have yet to see to make a comeback. They have yet to fully tap the potential of the Wii U. Which is why I'm hoping that this year's E3 for them turns out to be good.
Anyway, more of my art will be on the way, guys. Stay tuned.

January - Start of New Year ^^
Posted 13 years agoHey there, my friends. I'm back once again with another new journal entry for all of you to know what has been up with me. Well Christmas has passed and I had a good one. Spent some time with not just my family, but with my cousin whom I have bnot met in a while especially with her son and daughter whom I haven't seen in a long time. At the same time on that day, I had to go to work on my job. But that didn't stop me one bit at all since I needed the money to help my parents out. I hope everyone had a really good Happy New Year as well for all of you since now that 2013 has finally rolled in. Everything's going fine at my job and I intend to keep it that way.
Overall, here are some of the stuff I got for me and my parents on Christmas.
-The Avengers Movie(DVD) - myself
-The Dark Knight Rises(DVD) - my dad
-Transformers Prime Season 2(DVD) - myself
-New Skechers running shoes - for my mom
-The Expendables 2(DVD) - for my dad
That's pretty much it since I didn't want any games for Christmas and there aren't any good ones until February coming up which I'm going to explain later here. I'm hoping that the new year starts off well for not just me and my parents, but for everyone.
Personally in the gaming world as of lately, it has been brought to my attention that Sony recently stopped production of the Playstation 2 which means that there will be no more games produced for the console and the console itself. Besides, the console had been going strong for the last 13 years and it had a really good run.
In other personal news on it, the reason why I said that there are going to be some good games coming up for next month now is that Sly Cooper Thieves in Time is nearing its release date and hopefully we expect to hear something on a new demo that should be coming out on the Playstation Network this month in January. So for all of you Sly fans out there(including myself of course), be on the lookout for it. The release date for the game is February 5, 2013(20 days before my birthday). I also plan to pre-order the upcoming PS3 game The Last of Us which hits the PS3 on May 2013. After seeing some more new footage of the game, it's coming out even better that I thought since it has its action sequences but with survival because of its setting that takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States where a deadly and mysterious fungus wiped most of the population leaving only a band of survivors.
Hopefully from Nintendo we'll get to expect to hear something new from upcoming games for the Wii U since that console is going to be their major focus from here on out now that the Wii era has come to an end and I'm hoping to see some more games for the core gamers in not just in first-party franchises from Nintendo especially from those that we have not seen in a while since the Gamecube era and never showed up on the Wii such as Starfox, F-Zero and Pikmin(which Pikmin 3 is coming out this year), but also more strong 3rd-party support this time around. From the looks of the Wii U, the console will start picking up its steam this year especially for E3 coming up later this year in June.
Also for all of you Starfox fans(myself included), 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the franchise itself ever since its first incarnation back in the SNES era in 1993. I have been a loyal fan to the series ever since it first started on the SNES and will continue to be no matter what. The series has had a really good success with its gameplay, characters from the series whom we grown to love(..or hate) and space dogfights that could keep you on the edge of your seats. I'll give you all a concise history of the series itself when they appeared in the major home consoles(excluding the DS and the 3DS).
foxhappyplz
In 1993, Nintendo first released their first title in the series simply called Starfox. It was the first 3D space rail shooter that would allow the player to pick any of the 3 routes in the game which will lead to the planet Venom. Depending on the route you take determines the difficulty of the stages. Also it was the first game in the franchise to include dialogue from your wingmen to ask you when they need help or advice. All of this will become a staple in future SF games. Even in today's standards, it is perhaps one of the hardest games in the series, but a lot of fun. This game became such a success that Shigeru Miyamoto(creator of the Starfox series along with the Mario and Zelda series) decided to do a sequel for the game that would have came in 1995 called Starfox 2. As for this game, it introduced the players to plot routes to anywhere in the Lylat System to lead up to Venom for a final fight against Andross. This became the predecessor to Starfox Command(came out in the DS on 2006) to implement this gameplay. Unfortunately by the time when Starfox 2 was nearing its completion, it got cancelled and they used some of the elements in the game such as all-range mode, and the first appearance of the Star Wolf team to be transferred to the N64 with Starfox 64 by 1997(which I'll explain later). Starfox 2 would have made the first appearance of these 2 new characters Miyu and Fay who were going to be 2 new recruits to the team and sadly, they have not appeared in future SF games ever since. But I sincerely hope that Nintendo and even Miyamoto himself does consider bringing these 2 for a future Starfox game(which I'll explain later on in this entry). During 1993, Nintendo had a Starfox comic that ran through the Nintendo Power magazines that went more into detail in the story such as further character development for both Fox McCloud and Andross and why they hate each other so much. The comic was really good on its own and it further explored the universe further including some new features that was never mentioned in the game.
By 1997, Nintendo released Starfox 64 on the Nintendo 64 and was the first in the series to introduce voice-acting for the dialogue on the characters in the game. Sure there are cheesy one-liners such as "Do a Barrel Roll,"(which has become the most famous line in Nintendo history, but thoughout the Internet) or "Fox, get this guy off of me.", but it becomes a nostagic factor to the game itself and this was a major step for the series since dialogue in this game is a huge factor no matter which Starfox game it is. But what's great of this game is the music, tight gameplay controls, and importantly started the canonical story to the series which becomes a staple here on out(with the exception of Starfox Command since I the endings for the game to be non-canonical and I did not like how they portrayed Krystal throughout most of the game). The game even introduced the Landmaster tank and Blue Marine submarine to the number of vehicles that Fox can use. Overall, the game was met with universal critical acclaim to be on the best games in the series and I agree. Even as of today, it is still by far one of my favorite entries in the series. The game was later remade onto the 3DS in 2011 and like the N64 game, the 3DS version sold really good which shows that the series is still popular and also the reason why the fans of the series want to see a new entry for the Wii U.
In 2002, that is where the series took off into a new direction in Starfox Adventures(originally known as Dinosaur Planet for the N64 which was later transferred to the Gamecube) where it introduced Fox out of his Arwing and to explore a planet(in the SF universe known as Sauria later on in SF Assault) to what is causing the trouble upon the planet. The setting takes place 8 years after the events of Starfox 64 where Fox defeated Andross. The game incorporated Zelda gameplay with its Starfox elements and to tell you the truth, I really liked that concept. Because it shows the other side of Fox that he is more than just an Arwing pilot. He is an adventurer and being the pilot himself, he needs to accustom to the enviroment of other planets that he travels The game introduced a new character to be officially part of the Starfox universe whom Fox meets up with in the game and rescues her at the end and her name is Krystal. Not much is known of her past but she came from her doomed, distant planet in the Lylat System known as Cerinia to find out answers and she travels to Sauria to find out what is going on in the planet. There are people who like the idea(such as myself) that she is part of the SF universe and to be Fox's love interest(like Mario is to Peach or Link is to Zelda) while there are those who unfortunately don't like her as a character. For me, I think that she is a welcome addition to the series and one of the reasons why I would love for her to appear as a playable character for the next Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 3DS. She was originally going to be part of the roster since she was the most demanded character. Unfortunately, she didn't make the cut. Hopefully Sakurai(creator of the Kirby and Smash Bros. series) will consider her this time around. If you think that Krystal could end up being as a clone fighter, think again. If any of you have ever played Starfox Adventures, she can use her staff in the next Smash Bros. game and by this, she would be one of the most unique fighters in the roster and not to mention that this could add some more female characters to the roster. Anyway, the game was a success and even IGN gave it a 9 rating out of 10. Personally, I don't care what people say about Adventures and Assault. But I love these 2 games like any other Starfox game I have played. For me, this is considered to be Rare's crowning achievement and the last great game that they have ever done before Microsoft bought Rare out and started doing not very good games.
In 2005, the series brought in the next chapter Starfox Assault developed in conjunction and Nintendo and Namco Bandai. The series brought back its emphasis of being as a space shooter with its number of land missions on both the Landmaster and on-foot missions. I don't mind the on-foot missions and I like that concept for the series. But if they can improve that for the next Starfox game in gameplay wise with its inclusion of Arwing missions, then I'm all ears. The setting of the game takes place 1 year after the events of Adventures with Krystal being officially part of the team, Andross's nephew Andrew Oikonny(former member of the Star Wolf team) to band together of the remnants of his uncle's army, and the Aparoid aliens invading the Lylat System. The game got some mixed reviews here and there. But as I said before, I like this game than any other SF game in the series.
Since then, Fox has been appearing as a playable character as part of the original 12 to appear in the Smash Bros. games since 1999 and he has continued to be the most popular character in the series in both Smash Bros and the Starfox series. In fact, Fox was voted in IGN for the top 10 Nintendo characters and he came in #4 with Link(#1), Mario(#2) and Samus(#3) in the poll. Falco Lombardi joined the roster in Melee in 2001 and came back once again in Brawl in 2008 with the inclusion of Wolf in Brawl(really loved that idea since Fox and Wolf are not only 2 of my best fighters in Brawl, but as faves in both Starfox and Nintendo itself). Unfortunately, during the Wii era, there has not been a major Starfox game on the Wii and the only thing we came to seeing the series was in Brawl. But it wasn't enough for us fans of the series and other franchises like Pikmin and F-Zero didn't had a new entry for the Wii. Then again, it happened to the Metroid series. After the release of Super Metroid on the SNES in '94, there wasn't a major Metroid game until Metroid Prime on the Gamecube in 2002. I'm betting that the Starfox series will finally get a new installment for the Wii U and hopefully Nintendo reveals it this year at E3 2013 and I'm betting that Retro Studios(MP trilogy and DKC Returns) have been working on it for some time now which could be the reason why Retro Studios couldn't reveal their latest project at E3 2012 since most likely they weren't ready yet to show it off. But I'll bet that they will be this time around when E3 2013 rolls in. Here are some of the reasons why I think that Retro could be doing the next Starfox game(most likely candidate) during 2012 with its news as a reminder to all of the SF fans:
-Retro Studios confirmed along with Miyamoto that their next current project they are working on for the Wii U is not a new Zelda game.
-It can't be a new Donkey Kong Country game since there hasn't been any demand for it especially since Donkey Kong Country Returns came out in 2010.
-Can't be a new Metroid game since Retro stated that they are done with the series and they want to move on to some other 1st-party franchises from Nintendo that we have not seen in a while
-Shigeru Miyamoto(creator of Starfox, Mario and Zelda) has mentioned in a interview during the summer of 2012 that Starfox is one of the franchises that is not only one of his favorites that he has done, but he wants it on the Wii U. Which could mean that even as we speak, the game is still in development. Hey, this is Miyamoto we are talking about and what he wants, we will get it and he has proven it over time including with the sequel to Luigi's Mansion which is coming up for the 3DS soon and surely he would do the same for a Starfox Wii U game.
-Retro Studios said that they are doing a game that "fans want them to do" and to do a "barrel roll of a different kind".
These are the major reasons why I believe that there is a very good chance that we will see the series this time on the Wii U. Because the interface for the Gamepad for it would make it a lot easier for the developers like how they did it for the SF64 remake on the 3DS. Also, think of playing the new entry in the series with HD graphics and better yet which could be a first which is online gameplay. That is something that the fans would truly want. I also hope that since the series turns 20 this year that Miyamoto does also consider of doing a anniversary collection of previous Starfox games bundled together into one for the Wii U. If he was able to do that for Mario and Zelda with their respective anniversaries and there was even one for Kirby last year when that series turned 20 since Sakurai created the series, then I don't see why Miyamoto can't do it for Starfox either. :D
Anyway, more of my work will be on the way, my friends. :D Have a Happy New Year!!

June - E3 2012 and start of summer
Posted 13 years agoHey there, guys. Here I am once again writing to you guys a new entry as usual. ^^ But here I am about to talk a bit of what were my opinions there for E3 2012 that happened this week now that it is over. After 4 days of the expo that I saw online and seeing Nintendo and a bit of Sony's conference, I'll explain them separately.
Let's start with Sony on their PS3, there were a few things from them that I really liked such as the gameplay demo for the upcoming game The Last of Us coming out on the PS3 and it looks utterly impressive to what the studio Naughty Dog(Jak and Daxter trilogy and Uncharted series) are doing and from the looks of it, this could end up being a M-rated game due to the fact that it does has its language, violence, and blood which I'm cool with as long as the story makes perfect sense since it has its post-apocalyptic feel to it to what happened to the world that was attacked by some deadly fungal disease while focusing on two of its survivors Joel(voiced by Troy Baker) and Ellie trying to survive. It has a bit of a Resident Evil vibe to me due to its action/survival horror. I look forward to this game when it comes out sometime in 2013.

Best part of this game is where 2 of the main characters of the series Leon and Chris will finally run into each other at long last. Can't wait to see this how it turns out. ^^ Release Date: October 2, 2012

Finally from Sony is the one game that I've been waiting for which I'm a bigtime Sly fan myself and it is none other than Sly Cooper Thieves in Time. Even though it wasn't much new to what Sanzaru Games(working on the game) shown at E3, but they did show more of the gameplay there including the new Hubworld stage in the game which is the Medieval England stage like the Feudal Japan stage(to where Sly's ancestor Sir Galleth Cooper is from). ^^ Plus here's the rundown of the voice actors who have been confirmed to be in this game who are going to be and most of you fans like me who either watch anime, American cartoons or in video games you'll be familiar with. I'll plan to update this list when they confirm more of Sly's ancestors and the villains they will be dealing with in this game and this cast is looking really good. ^^ Can't wait for this game when it comes out this year.

Now going into Nintendo's part, besides a few 1st-party games such as Pikmin 3(glad that the Pikmin fans are gettting it since there hasn't been a Pikmin game since 2004), New Super Mario Bros. U, and Nintendo Land(really?!) and some 3rd-party games they mentioned, I was very disappointed to Nintendo's conference and I believe that they really fumbled it this year when it came to 1st-party franchises besides those first 2 I mentioned. God it was like E3 2008 all over again. I'm still planning to get the Wii U for sure when it comes out later this year for the Holiday season because being the longtime Nintendo gamer I have been and really like the hardware support it has. Going back into the disappointment, here were the reasons why:
-Nothing on a new Starfox game for the Wii U(longtime Starfox fan here) which I believe it is to be in development by Retro Studios(Metroid Prime trilogy and Donkey Kong Country Returns) and most likely to be their latest project that they have been working on for the Wii U as I was expecting for them to show at least at the expo especially from those latest articles posted online that Retro Studios somehow could be the ones who are working on it. It has been since 2005 since we have had a proper Starfox game on a major home console since the Gamecube era and that the series missed out on the Wii era and the only thing we ever got this close to seeing them is in SSB Brawl. But unfortunately it wasn't enough. We Starfox fans are getting really impatient for this and I believe that the series is long overdue for a new one and I don't want this series to miss out also on the Wii U era like what it did in the Wii era. Otherwise there is going to be hell to pay among the fans and will be out for blood at Nintendo. That series has so much potential especially with the new Wii U Gamepad controller that it can utilize along with online features and a robust, and solid gameplay along with a good story. This is one of the franchises that fans have been heavily demanding since 2006. But I believe that it is going to have to come sooner or later for the Wii U. Why do you guys think that in one of the recent articles mentioned in IGN that which Nintendo 1st-party franchises the fans would want to see first on the Wii U that we haven't seen in a while and Starfox got first place there? It shows that there are Starfox fans still out there that they want to see a new installment for the series on the Wii U.
-Nothing on F-Zero that some of the fans were hoping to be shown this year.
-Nothing on the new Smash Bros game coming up for the Wii U/3DS(which I can understand that since they have somehow started woking on it after Sakurai finished with Kid Icarus Uprising).
Seriously, Nintendo really needs to get their game up on 1st-party franchises and they need to realize that they have their other 1st-party franchises than just Mario and Zelda who have been waiting for such a long ass time. I understand that 1st-party franchises from them take a while to develop. But they need to be more open to their fans on some of their other titles that isn't Mario or Zelda. Don't get me wrong and I love both the Mario and Zelda series. But I want to see something new that has not been seen in a while for god's sake. If they could have at least made some announcement at their conference like the new Starfox Wii U game and the new Smash Bros. Like my friend
ns-games said in his recent entry from E3 2012 on Nintendo's part, they really came to the expo this year empty-handed. I don't know what the fuck were they thinking, genuinely. They can do better than this. Well let's just hope that after the release of the Wii U that they try to pick up the slack after that horrendous performance they did at E3 2012.
And please don't get me started on a new Wii Fit U. I say fuck that game to the deepest fathoms of hell since it's a game for assholes. I also don't like the fact of this game ZombiU that it is a 1st-person perspective game which bugs me in every single aspect(not a big fan of 1st-person perspective games). As for Nintendo Land, I'm a bit biased on it. But then again it feels like that it's their take of Wii Sports and Mario Party put together but with using Miis. I wouldn't be surprised that if it becomes part of the bundle for the Wii U when it comes out just like when the Wii first came out that it had Wii Sports attached to it.
Third-party support on the other hand is finally getting some steam for the Wii U which is something that the Wii lacked back then. Personally I still think that the Gamecube library had much better games than the Wii library. Here is an article that was posted regarding about the interview that IGN had with Reggis Fils-Aime. It's a 4-page article, but it has some interesting tidbits there especially with to what Retro Studios has been doing. Here it is:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06.....ng-wii-u-retro
One good thing that I'm going to like about the Wii U is that not only is it going to be compatible with all Wii accessories(Remote and Controller), Wii games and the new Wii U Controller Pro coming out, but for the downloadable library, it'll allow customers who have the Wii U that they can be able to transfer all of their Virtual Console games along with Wiiware games from the Wii into the Wii U without any hassle. That's at least good news for me and I don't have to worry about paying for them again. Not to mention that the new networking system known as the Nintendo Network will allow players to create their own accounts just like Sony for their Playstation Network and Microsoft for their Xbox Live. Here are some trailers for some of the games coming out on the Wii U.

June - E3 2011 ^^
Posted 14 years agoHey there guys. It's me again and here to tell of my thoughts of what I'm going to write here on this entry. Those thoughts are referring to what I saw at the E3 2011 expo online today since it was on Nintendo. From what I can say on it, they blew Microsoft and Sony out of the water. They began with an overture of an orchestra for the Legend of Zelda since it is going to be its 25th anniversary. Here is the video for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FWq.....feature=relmfu
The first half of the conference was that on the upcoming 3DS games which are mostly 1st-party and it has an interesting lineup. They are in the following:
-Luigi's Mansion 2(this one took me by surprise and good to see that my boy Luigi will have another game to be in after 10 years) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-xVPaDUR18
-Starfox 64 3D(although it is a remake which I have the original on my Wii which I downloaded, it's the same game with better graphics which I'll give credit to) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrvRqvVs19g
-Kid Icarus Uprising(been a long while since he has appeared on his own in a game like this but great) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moitMMOHjr4
-Mario Kart 3DS(saw this one coming but it did have some interesting features such as customizing your kart or handgliding on it and as a submersible) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G0Q.....eature=related
-Super Mario 3DS(brand new Mario game from the people who did the SM Galaxy games plus a certain item whih makes a comeback from Super Mario Bros. 3) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7-2ONYDpvU
Now the second half was when things started to get interesting. ^^ All the things that were talked about since this past April about Nintendo's newest home console to be shown at E3 2011 has came to fruition. What was once known as Project Cafe is now renamed as the WiiU. The name sounds a bit tad boring. I guess they sort of ran out of ideas for it for naming it. But other than that, it looks really good and as previously mentioned, it is going to be their first approach into going HD which is a plus. But the majority of the talk on it was centered on the new controller that is going to come with it and here is the trailer to prove it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4e3q.....feature=relmfu . At the end part of the video when they showed the clip from Zelda, that was utterly amazing and if they do that with some other 1st-party titles on some franchises we haven't seen yet like Starfox, Pikmin and F-Zero(these 3 very likely to be for the WiiU since they are long overdue) in its graphics power, then boy are we in one hell of a trip there. As for the console itself, here is the pic for it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wii_u.jpg . It is going to be backwards ompatible with older Wii games along with the Wii Remotes, Nunchucks, Wii Wheel, Wii Zapper, etc. So at least that will be a relief there. Except that this console will not be backwards compatible with Gamecube games, controllers and memory cards. If that's the case, I rather keep my Wii which has that backwards compatibility. At least the good thing of it it'll be able to use the SD card slot once again like what they did with the Wii. The only downside is that some of the games I have on my Wii like SSB Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, RE: Darkside Chronicles and Super Mario Galaxy 2 as examples have their game data which cannot be copied into the SD Card unlike some of the others that can do that. Seriously, I don't want to go with all that again especially in Brawl which I worked really hard to unlock everything in the games and not to mention they haven't been easy to come by to unlock. But with those that I was able to copy into the SD Card, I'll have no problem playing them on the WiiU because of the backwards compatibility of anything that is related to the Wii and specifically the Wii game data for some of those games I have in my SD Card. ^^ For the technical specifications, I'm thinking that it's going to go beyond the 512 MB flash memory and go as previously stated in my last entry of 8 GB and using the 25 GB game discs. Nintendo should also give players the opportunity to have them make their own accounts online like what Sony and Microsoft do for their PSN or Xbox Live. The console won't be out until 2012 and my best guess is that it will be for the Holiday 2012 season. But the WiiU did however got some really positive support from other well-known third party developers such as Electronic Arts, WB Games, Namco Bandai, Konami, Capcom and Sega as examples. Because besides the 1st-party lineup they have, they need to regain the hardcore audience they lost after the Gamecube era. If this happens, then the WiiU will see very good success this time around. I don't think that the console would go over $300 in the retail price since Nintendo always try to make it affordable to the public with their consoles. But once they start accepting reservations for the WiiU at Gamestop as an example, I'm going to be one of the first people on it. ^^ I don't want to miss this one out.
What caught my eye there is that a new Smash Bros. game is on its way for both the WiiU and the 3DS. I had a feeling that Sakurai wasn't going to give up on it since he said that once they put the finishing touches to KI: Uprising, the next Smash Bros. game is on his list. Hopefully for the next game, they will decide to add Krystal(Starfox heroine and Fox's love interest) into the roster as playable. Because she was originally supposed to be in Brawl and being the most demanded character. But there could be a chance that she'll join the roster for the next one. Besides, we need some more female characters in the roster and personally, I don't think that Zelda, Peach and Samus is enough. Krystal also needs to be in that spot to join them. I'll bet that next year's E3 2012 or for some of their conferences before the expo, they are going to start revealing some of the new 1st-party games from some of the franchises we have yet to see on the WiiU like Starfox, Pikmin and F-Zero. I was expecting something on Starfox to be revealed at the expo for the WiiU. But unfortunately there was still no word on it. All I can say is that there is a chance that it is somehow still in early development for the WiiU(I'll explain it later here in the entry). This is something that even Miyamoto would have to agree on ever since he first mentioned of making a new Starfox game when the Wii came out in 2006 when he talked about it 5 years ago. But after that time, there has been no word on it. As much as he is a fan of the series being the creator himself for it and of Hideki Kamiya(creator of Bayonetta, Okami, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe; and a Starfox fan himself), now should be the time for that series to make a comeback into the home consoles and the WiiU is the perfect start for it. Think of the possibilities that the game would have on it such as the HD graphics of dogfights in space, the cutscenes in the game(I'm a sucker of watching scenes in games I like) and the online gameplay it will use. As for it being in development, there has been a lot of buzz going on lately that Retro Studios(Metroid Prime trilogy and Donkey Kong Country Returns) said that they are working on a project game for the WiiU that "everyone wants them to do". Looking at it, it has to be a 1st-party title(definitely not a Metroid game since they said they are finished with it; not a new DK game) from a classic franchise we haven't seen in a while. My best bet is that it has to be the new SF title coming up since fans have been demanding a new one and something that they would definitely want Retro Studios to do. I'm sure that after their successes with the MP series and DKC Returns, I'm sure that they will be able to pull it off very well with a new Starfox game and that Retro Studios are really good partners with Nintendo. So we may expect something on it along with the new Smash Bros. game sometime next year for E3 2012 when they start revealing new games for the WiiU. Even for SF 64 3D coming out in September 2011, I'll bet that it is going to sell well since it is after all a classic of the N64 game with better graphics. It would be the same thing for Pikmin 3 and hopefully a new F-Zero game. It would be very irritating to see some of these franchises to not show up on not just the Wii, but the WiiU. But knowing Nintendo, I have a feeling that they are going to have something on them when 2012 rolls in for the WiiU. It's about time that these titles should give the spotlight it deserves after all this time. Because I really don't want to wait for a long time for them to come out.
January - New Year and all that jazz ^^
Posted 15 years agoHey there, guys. Sorry for the late journal entry into this month since things have been going hectic in my place once again. Can you believe that? But other than that, I have been going fine in my end and hopefully is stays that way now that I have also have gone back this semester to college. But the good thing about this semester is that I only have 2 classes that I have to go to since I am almost done with getting my Master's in Advertising which hopefully I should be able to finish hopefully by the fall semester later this year. The classes that I have to take this semester are Advanced Strategic Communications Seminar and the Professional Project Orientation(which I have to go for 3 sessions which the first one starts on Feb.5; the second one is on Feb.26 and the last one is on the week of Mar. 28). Basically, the orientation from what I heard is pretty much on them explaining on how to do the Professional Project before I take the actual one on the fall semester since they don't offer it on the summer and I was told that I have to do it this way from what I am doing now. But at least the other class that I'm doing is a class that I meet up with once a week which is fine by me and best of all from it, there is no final or mid-term exam on it. But the teacher from what I have seen there is actually a good one and fair to his students. ^^
Overall on that, I hope everything turns things around for me and my family this year and goes well. Because also, I keep stressing this out that this country itself needs to recover itself on its economy and Obama really needs to do something about it because I want to start working again in a job since I want to earn some money and I'm sure all of you would agree with me on this. But as of now, I'm hanging in there.
Going into personal stuff, not long ago they have released the movie Alpha and Omega on DVD and I plan to get it anytime soon(I'm a sucker for wolves) not to mention my birthday is coming up soon now next month which I intend to get a Playstation 3 and also the fact of Marvel vs Capcom 3 coming out soon since I reserved for the Collector's Edition for it. Anyone who has been following up with MvC 3 lately should have heard by now that they recently have confirmed 2 more new characters in the game who are Akuma(Street Fighter series) and Taskmaster(Deadpool's enemy). Here is a video of these 2 in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4WPINGRW88 . The Taskmaster has a really interesting fighting style which I may consider using him in the game along with Zero, Chris Redfield, Viewtiful Joe, X-23, Wolverine and Iron Man not just he looks cool, but Steven Blum(one of my favorite voice actors) does this character along with Wolverine. If you look at Taskmaster's style, he is basically a MvC version of Link itself. As for Jon Talbain(werewolf from Darkstalkers) there is this forum that there are fans wanting to see him in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and here is the link for it http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_cap.....last#482337257 . I have signed up for it and by tommorow there is going to be a link on the Gamespot forum where people can vote to see who makes it into the top 6 from what I have heard from both Marvel(top 6) and Capcom(top 6) since they are going into the 4th round(which is the final round). Once the round is over, it will be sent to the staff of MvC 3 at Capcom to place them for the DLC lineup. Anyone out there who is a fan of the wolf boy there like me, please support him and vote him in the site in Gamespot where it is going to be a petition thread for the DLC lineup. Because Talbain is not only has been one of the most requested Darkstalkers character to be in a crossover fighting game since MvC 1(most requested for 13 years), but also the most popular Darkstalkers alongside with Felicia and Morrigan. He really needs this chance to be in it and deserves it who has been ignored long enough which isn't fair for him and even those from Capcom should be aware of this by now. But from the results of round 3 of the petition thread, I find it odd that Phoenix Wright from Capcom is in the top 10 there with the most votes along with Jon Talbain. Because I honestly don't see him as a fighter there since he is a lawyer. Whoever's been voting for him to be as a DLC character is really wasting their time with voting him since I have a feeling that even Capcom may not agree with it for him to be a fighter even though I don't have anything against him. Hell even Niitsuma(producer/director of Marvel vs Capcom 3) has said it before of using Talbain either for the on-disc roster or DLC since he knows that he has yet to be playable and to appear to be in a Capcom crossover fighting game. But anyone who is a member of Gamespot and is aware of the voting for it for tommorow and wants to vote for Talbain there, they need to follow the rules for it there and I'll post the link in this journal when I update it.
Also, from my friend
celestialien86 , there is a link of this person who wants to make a Starfox animated movie which he tends to keep it true to the source as it should be and here are some links to prove it http://www.facebook.com/album.php?a.....727&ref=mf and http://starfox-online.net/2011/01/0.....ous-sf-film-2/ . They have even given the release date for the upcoming 3DS handeheld that Nintendo is coming up with which is March 27 and it is going to be priced at $250. As much as I want to get it, that seems a bit too steep for a handheld which is practically the same price when the Wii first came out. I'll just wait until they lower the price further and only then I'll get it for sure. Right now the PS3 is my main focus. But I will continue keeping an eye to what Nintendo has in store for the Wii this year especially with E3 2011 looming down the horizon which begins in June this year. I have a gut feeling that Nintendo will finally reveal a new Starfox Wii game at the expo along with Pikmin 3. Because these have been the talk from the fans as of lately since the Wii first came out in 2006 and now the Wii has entered into in its 5th year not to mention that these 2 have been long overdue for the Wii. I also think that this year they will be the next DK and Kirby for this year since they are the only 2 major franchises that we still have yet to see before the Big N moves onto the next home console. Honestly, I don't think that we're going to see a new Metroid game for the Wii and the same goes for the Mario platformers on the Wii to be shown at E3 2011 this year and for a while and it is time to start giving some of their other 1st-party franchises that we have yet to see like Starfox, Pikmin and F-Zero(hopefully) on the Wii a chance to shine in the spotlight.

Summer still and Mizucon ^^
Posted 15 years agoWell another time for me to write a new journal entry in my account and this one is a sight to behold. Though August itself is perhaps the worst month very single year since the heat during that time is unbearable especially in Miami where I live, but there are a few things that comes to that. I'll be starting school again for the Fall semester to continue for my Master's in Advertising while taking only 3 classes and judging from the schedule there, it looks to me that it is going to be fair to me since normally I would only have to go on Wednesday and Thursday which is good for me. But other than that, I applied for a TV station here where I live which is a Spanish network station well known in the U.S as Univision. Now all I need from the person who I applied to is to let me know when the position becomes available despite the fact that it can take a while. Seriously, I want to get back to starting to work again after the last time I worked which was 2 years and the position there was temporary.
But other than that, here is what gets really good. This weekend, I went to an anime convention here in Miami known as Mizucon and they brought in 2 celebrities which I have been wanting to meet for some time now and my girlfriend went with me on this since she likes American animation and anime like me. ^^
-Mike Sinterniklaas: Wanted to meet him since he is the voice behind this character from the current animated series of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Leonardo who Mike is also a successor after Cam Clarke(who voiced Leonardo from the 80s series of the Ninja Turtles). Plus he has worked in other shows such as the Venture Bros and most interestingly of all as Mahad and the Dark Magician from the Yugioh anime series. How cool is that? :D ^^ He knows Dan Green, Wayne Grayson, Frank Frankson and Jason Griffith very well since he has worked with them before in both Yugioh and the TMNT. ^^ He was such a fun guy to talk to and I got autographs from him from one of the Ninja Turtles DVD's that he has worked on and one of the DVDs for Yugioh: Dawn of the Duel.
-Scott McNeil: Now this guy was something that came out of the blue. When I found out online that he was going to be at this convention. I almost fell flat to the floor when I saw this. He is not only one of my favorite voice actors along in the ranks such as Steven Blum, Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Jeff Bennett, etc., but he is such a great guy to talk to and as a good friend to all of his fans out there. This guy has worked in some of my favorite animated shows like Beast Wars(Silverbolt, Rattrap, Dinobot, Waspinator which he did his vocal impersonations for these characters which was a smile to my face). , X-Men Evolution(Wolverine), Lord Raptor(Night Warriors Darkstalkers Revenge), Mega Man(Protoman and Dr. Wily) and GI Joe(90s series and a sequel to the 80s series and worked there as Storm Shadow, Lt. Falcon and the Headman). He has also worked in some other animes like Gundam Wing(Duo Maxwell), Street Fighter(Ken), Dragonball Z(Piccolo) and Koga(Inuyasha). He has worked in about 10,000 episodes of shows like this in total and counting those for live-action shows as well such as Supernatural. He even told me that he went to Botcon at Orlando this last month and get this, he has been inducted into the Transformers Hall of Fame along there which he met at the convention who was Peter Cullen(Transformers Generation 1 as the original Optimus Prime) who is another actor I would love to meet anytime soon. ^^ It must have been an honor for him to meet the guy who did one of my favorite childhood heroes in 80s cartoons. I even took the chance to tell him at the convention for fun that he would make a interesting choice for this character from the Starfox series who is Wolf O'Donnell. Despite the fact that he uses that wolf-like nature he displays in some of his characters that he has done such as Silverbolt or Wolverine, he would be perfect for Wolf there and he agreed to it since he knows about this series. ^^ I even have some autographs signed by him which was my 3rd season Beast Wars DVD set and the anime series of Night Warriors Darkstalkers Revenge. It was an honor to meet him after all this time. http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....Neil-176308000
Other than that, I wanted 2 commissions from the convention that I will be posting up in my gallery soon that I think all of you will like my friends.
Other than that into other personal stuff, I did find this out online from Youtube for all of you Starfox fans out there. Here is a video posted even though it was on March of this year. But if you look at it closely from the top comment he posted there of his video which he posted it this past July of this year, he states that Miyamoto is going to reveal it by some time of SF Wii for next year's E3 2011. :D This is good news for the fans and now that Donkey Kong and Kirby have been revealed at this year's E3 and that they are going to be released this year, it's only a matter of time that SF, Pikmin and F-Zero will get the same treatment for next year's E3 since those are the only 3 major franchises left. Here is the video for you guys to see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV6k.....eature=related
Now going into the Archie STH Series, things start to get interesting here. In #215, the Council of Acorn receives a distress signal from the Arctic Freedom Fighters that the DEL from that region have imprisoned Rotor's herd and it is up to Sonic as usual to save the day. But there is a catch there since Hamlin refuses to let Rotor go with Sonic to help him out despite the fact that Hamlin is a douchebag as usual just like how he was harsh to Sally in her trial back in #197. But Rotor finds a way to sneak out to help his herd thanks to Nicole's help. But one problem there for Nicole is that some of the citizens of New Mobotropolis are still a little rattled after the Iron Dominion's invasion especially with the way how the Iron Queen(being a psychotic technomage she is) has brainwashed Nicole when she was Iron Nicole. But it was a good moment there for her to help Rotor out to make a suit that he can use to fight against the DEL in the area where Rotor's herd is from. But while he heads there, he runs into Silver who is still going the whole conspiracy of the traitor among the Freedom Fighters which he believes that this traitor that he speaks of was the reason for Silver's future which is in ruins. This has been going on since #195. Talk about a vendetta there that Silver is going through. But I really look forward to what is going to happen in the nexrt issue of the series.
As for Sonic Universe #19, things heat up in the Tails Adventures arc where Antoine and Tails begin to mount an assault upon the Battle Bird Armada to save Bunnie from the clutches of the Battlelord. However, the deranged bird Speedy notices through Bunnie that he plans to blow her cover since she is pretending to be an agent working for the Dark Egg Legion when Speedy realizes that she is a member of the Freedom Fighters. But all of this will be concluded in the next issue of the series which won't be out for a few weeks.
As for my pics, more of them will be on the way, my friends. ^^
But other than that, here is what gets really good.
Nintendo's E3 2010 conference *sighs*
Posted 15 years agoWell, it appears that the conference for E3 2010 for Nintendo is over. There were a few things about their conference which is the good news and the bad news. I guess I'll start off with the bad news.
For all Starfox fans out there, it appears that from the conference there is still no word on it that of Starfox Wii it at the conference. GOD DAMN those lying double-crossers there and they said that they were going to reveal something on it along with the new Pikmin 3 game I have been hearing so much about and still nothing!! WTF is wrong with you guys, Nintendo?!?! Is it too much to ask for to see it in the Wii considering how perfect it would be? God, they really need to listen to their fans more for sure and it is not just on Starfox, but on Pikmin, and F-Zero. Those are the 3 main franchises that we have yet to see on the Wii. Well I have a feeling that my best bet here is that it's going to have to be Platinum Games(Madworld, Bayonetta, and the upcoming Vanquish) with its creator of Bayonetta, Okami and Viewtiful Joe who is Hideki Kamiya(stated that he is a SF fan himself) that will collaborate on working with Nintendo to make the new Starfox game for the Wii since there was an article back this April that Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games was interested to make a new one . But it is very possible that they are going to reveal it at the roundtable there later at E3 like what they did when they revealed the concept art for the new Zelda game(which is Skyward Sword). I guess it's only one way to find out there when they do the roundtable meeting there. Please Nintendo, accept Kamiya's proposal there to make the new SF game on the Wii and to work with Platinum Games on it. But I have a good feeling that Miyamoto was aware of what Kamiya wants to do to collaborate with him on working SF for the Wii and they must have agreed with it since Nintendo and Platinum Games are really good partners with each other from that April article. If Nintendo was able to collaborate with Team Ninja on Metroid Other M, then it should be done the same for Starfox Wii for sure. They need to realize that there are many SF fans out there who have been demanding to see one on the Wii since 2006 and even Miyamoto has talked a lot of it not to mention being a big fan of the series, talked and shown a lot of interest on it and how perfect it would be for the Wii over 4 years now while having him that he wants to do everything he takes for it to happen and I'm sure it will. I understand that their big 1st-party titles take time on it and they are secretive on them to reveal them when the time is right. But c'mon 4 years is long overdue for one and it deserves it for sure. Doesn't anyone think that now is the time that the series should appear for the Wii? Well I'm still not going to give up on it. It will show up on the Wii and I'll guarantee that it is bound to happen sooner or later. They can't just leave our boy Fox in the dust forever to only appear as cameos in Smash Bros. games from now on. Because that would piss off a lot of the SF fans out there if that's the case. But I don't think that Nintendo will be that stupid enough to go that far to do that especially that they need to realize that is one of their most popular, and well established franchise that has a huge fanbase not to mention that SF fans like me and my DA friends
celestialien86,
shinfox, and any SF fan here in FA as examples will love to see it on the Wii and I'm sure all of you would agree with me on it.
Now for the good news, Nintendo however did reveal 2 of their franchises that we haven't seen in a while that is on its way for the Wii and here they are as it follows:
-Donkey Kong Country Returns: About time that this franchise finally got the attention it needed after all this time and I really look forward to getting this game since it is done by Retro Studios(Metroid Prime trilogy). Boy the DKC series from the SNES days were so much fun and I loved it. Hopefully this will be the same. It is scheduled to come out on the holiday season of 2010. Here is a video of our gorilla friend back in action http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/1435.....rl_061510.html ^^
-Kirby Epic Yarn: He hasn't been in a major home console game since Kirby Air Ride back in 2003, but it is good to see that he has made it at last on the Wii. Even though I'm not a Kirby fan, but he is welcome to the Wii that is for sure and deserves a chance. It is scheduled to come out for this holiday season. ^^ http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/8538.....rl_061510.html
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword : This I knew it was coming for sure since they have been talking a lot about it for some time since last year. It is basically a mix of graphics from the games Twilight Princess and a bit of that from Wind Waker. But I knew that it wasn't going to come out by the end of this year and end up delaying it for next year instead for 2011. I think that it is best that they should give more time on it so it can look really good as they have done before with their previous games to please their fans. I'll end up getting this game for sure when it comes out. Here is the trailer for it http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/8721.....rl_061510.html and for the gameplay trailer it is http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/8721.....rl_061510.html and if you want as a treat with Miyamoto who was in the show floor it is http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/8721.....mo_061510.html
-Sonic Colors: Big Sonic fan here and from the looks of it, this game is going to utilize the engine that was used in Sonic Unleashed which is great and also a bit of Mega Man elements(another series that is one of my faves from the original and the MMX series) such as picking the planet you want and when you defeat the boss there, you get their powers and use to defeat the next boss that has a specific weakness that they have from the previous boss you fought. Here is the trailer for it http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/7562.....ler_61510.html The game is still scheduled for Fall 2010 for the Wii and DS.
The Nintendo 3DS
-New handheld console(3DS): The appearance for this new handehld console looks really good and here is a video describing it http://ds.ign.com/dor/articles/1098.....on_061510.html . The console looks really good and this could be a great opportunity for me to finally get myself a DS system for a few reasons which impressed me.
-Starfox 64 3DS : Remake of the classic N64 game with updated graphics that will hopefully surpass that of the N64 game with hopefully new features added in it. But I still want to see a brand new Wii game for it and it's bound to happen anytime soon since it is the most demanded. Please Miyamoto, have our dream to see a Wii version come true as you want for it to be just like you stated. Hopefully with this game, it would even get people who never knew about the Starfox series to finally get their hands on on it. But even so, I believe that there is still a very good chance for him to show up on the Wii as we all want. Here is the link to prove it http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1097946p1.html and http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098726p1.html
-Kid Icarus Uprising : Interesting that he finally makes an appearance after being away for so long since his NES debut back in 1987 like what they did with Punch-Out and it looks really good. Here is the link for it http://ds.ign.com/dor/objects/14323.....rl_061510.html .
-Resident Evil Revelations : Big Resident Evil fan here and it's good to finally see another RE game that will be on its way and here it is http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1097998p1.html
-Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater: Basically a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 that came out in the PS2 back in 2004. I've only played the first MGS game which is the Twin Snakes(loads of fun) and I sure love to check this out for sure. http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098713p1.html
Other than that, at least Nintendo put some backbone this year than the past 2 years and hopefully from the looks of what they have done for bringing back 2 of their franchises for the Wii as of now which are DK and Kirby, hopefully they'll continue to do with the rest of their franchises that we have yet to see on the Wii which there are still 3 more major franchises left to come out on the Wii since those are Starfox, Pikmin and F-Zero. I'm certain we'll see them soon no matter what and most likely in their next summit conference hopefully either later this year or early next year before E3 2011 since they have been doing as of lately especially when they revealed one time in one of their conferences Punch-Out for the Wii and S&P: Star Successor and surely SF, F-Zero and Pikmin is mostly guaranteed to be next in line. ^^
Going Sonic wise from Archie, I recently have read STH #213 and it was really good how they pulled it off since it brings back some old characters from the comic series and best of all from the SatAM series that we haven't seen in a while. That is Lupe and the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters. We haven't seen them since #153. They invited Sonic and Sally to come to their nation in the south of Mobius so that they can be named as honorary members of the Wolf Pack Nation. Apparently, their induction has to be on hold since an artifact known as the Ancient Onyx has gone missing. I have a feeling that this artifact could be the Black Emerald that Lupe and Queen Hathor(leader of the Felidae tribe) are talking about. However accusations are flying from both sides that either one of those tribes claim that they stoled it. But what they don't realize there is that there is a much more sinister force behind all this which could lead both the Felidae and the Wolf Pack to war with each other if this doesn't get resolved. Which is why Sally asks Lupe to investigate the problem to what is going on while Sonic and Big the Cat(makes an appearance in the comics that we haven't seen in a little while) head to meet the Felidae tribe and tell Queen Hathor to not engage in war with the Wolf Pack yet and resolve the situation of the Ancient Onyx. Meanwhile, Sally investigates in one of the ruins and there she finds that the real culprit(s) there is Drago and Razorklaw(Hathor's soldier) who are not only now members of the Dark Egg Legion, but most likely the ones who stoled the Ancient Onyx which I have a feeling that they want to start a civil war which they want to see the Felidae and the Wolf Pack destroy each other. Unfortunately, Sally was captured by them and hopefully she'll find a way in the next issue to relay this to both of the tribes. I have a feeling that Lupe and Hathor will find out in the next issue that their former soldiers Drago and Razorklaw are behind everything and when that happens, boy Lupe and Hathor are going to have a field day with those 2.
As for pics to be in my gallery soon, more will be on the way my friends. ^^ :)

In the breeze there..^^
Posted 15 years agoHmm..never would have thought that I would write another entry this soon. But I guess a lot of personal interesting things has been going on in these past several days that I think I would like to tell to my friends here in DA. ^^
Now in video game wise, this is a critical and important message that all SF fans will rejoice here. Just yesterday in IGN, there was an article posted that the creator of Okami and Bayonetta Hideki Kamiya wants to make a new Starfox game for the Wii and here is the link to prove it http://wii.ign.com/articles/108/1084489p1.html . Can I hear anyone here saying "DO A BARREL ROLL!" ? This is great. It's about time that the series is finally getting the attention this year as I thought it would be. Nintendo would be great to collaborate with a major new independent studio like Platinum Games who have done games like Madworld, Bayonetta and some of their prvious games when they were once known as Clover Studios who have done games like Viewtiful Joe and Okami. Nintendo would be fools to reject Kamiya's proposal to work with Nintendo on it especially since they are good partners with Nintendo. If Nintendo was able to let other studios to collaborate with them such as Treasure(S&P: Star Successor), Next Level Games(Punch-Out) and Team Ninja(Metroid Other M), then I don't see why they can't let Platinum Games work with them on it. I'm sure that Miyamoto would agree to it. Please Nintendo, don't throw away this opportunity on it. Both Kamiya and Miyamoto are fans of the series and I'm certain that they will do justice on it. :D It's most likely that we'll be able to see it at this year's E3 and if we're lucky even a trailer on it. Even if it doesn't come out by the end of this year and it comes out next year but at least talk about it and hopefully a trailer, that's fine. That way I'll know that they have been working on it for some time now. Even though I'm certain that the Big N has been working on it for a little while now, but Miyamoto also did stated that he was looking for a studio that could collaborate with them on it and it appears that they have found a winner which is Platinum Games itself. This is something that Miyamoto has been going around for 4 years and it looks like our prayers will finally be answered here.
Now going into movie wise, Avatar finally comes out this Thursday on DVD and Blu-Ray. But hey it was a great movie that James Cameron has done along with movies that he has done in the past like the first 2 Terminator movies, Titanic and True Lies. Also on April 27, the complete 2nd season of the 1980s GI Joe animated series finally comes out on DVD. The 1987 animated movie will come out on July 2010 and for the first time for it on Blu-Ray as well. Quite an interesting feat there especially for an 80s cartoon from my time. Now we have to see if the company who is releasing them which is Shout! Factory is going to plan to release the 90s series of GI Joe from DIC along with the mini-series of it that came out in 1989 that takes place after the GI Joe movie which was Operation Dragonfire. It's only one way to find out there.
Now for the comics in Sonic the Hedgehog, I got not long ago Sonic Universe #15 and so far it is getting better in the Journey to the East story arc. We get deeper in this issue where what is Fiona and the Destructix were doing in the D. Kingdom. It appears that they are there to get Lightning Lynx(who is still in the Raiju clan) back into the Destructix because they had a feeling that he is being used by the clan. Also, it's interesting to see that the Destructix characters have been fleshed out even more in this issue unlike being the throwaway characters as we thought they would have been. But also we learn in Fiona's flashback there in the issue that when she wanted to recruit the Destructix, Sleuth(ex-Freedom Fighter) said to her that she can have them. But also he said to her that Drago(ex-Wolf Pack Freedom Fighter and traitor) went back to the Eggman Empire. If that's the case, then we may be able to see that he may play an important role coming up in Sonic the Hedgehog #213 and 214 of a 2-parter coming up after the Iron Dominion arc known as "Reigning Cats and Dogs". But in order to get there, we still have yet to get STH #212 which should be out by next week. :D ^^ But the other thing that I like about SU #15 is that it also brought back one of my new favorite characters there which is Conquering Storm. I had a feeling that she wasn't really a villain at all that I thought would be. She is a neutral character and more of an anti-hero there. She may be strict, but she is honourable and she agreed to it when Monkey Khan told her to break away from the Iron Dominion and agree in a duel to see who was the strongest. She agreed to it and allowed Lightning to fight against Sonic and in the end Sonic beat him. But we also know here that why Lightning has been exiled from the clan before because C. Storm found him not strong and worthy enough and he got kicked out again. As usual, she breaks away from the I. Dominion and now that there is one more clan that Sonic, Tails, Sally and Monkey Khan to talk to before they leave the D. Kingdom and head back to New Mobotropolis as mentioned in STH #210-211. What was even better is that C. Storm even gets to keep the Iron Fortress where it's the palace for the I. Queen and I. King Jun Kun. I had a feeling that they will end up losing everything by the end as mentioned in STH #211. But what I like about C. Storm is that she is a strategist and thinks methodically in her plans which makes her awesome and I'm sure that she is a strong fighter. But now that Lightning is back with the Destructix, Fiona said that she had something planned bad in store for them which it may be possible that it could occur in the next issue of SU #16. I think that she meant for them is not just on the 4, but against Conquering Storm as well in an act for revenge. But the biggest and priceless moment here in the issue is when Fiona tried to sweet-talk Tails into convincing Sonic and Sally, that is where Sally comes in and punches her in the gut. Boy not only does Sally has the guts which is what I like about her, but it's about time that Fiona got what she deserved after all the trouble she has done and the harm she has done to Tails especially with that slap she gave him back in STH #172(when it was discovered that she was going out with Scourge). But hey I really look forward to what is going to happen in the next issue since the last clan they need to deal with is the Shinobi Clan where Espio is in.
As for the pics that I'll be submitting, more will be on the way. ^^ Hang in there, my friends.
Turn the big old 26..^^
Posted 15 years agoHey there my friends. Here I am with another journal entry and pretty soon after all. The reason I'm writing this is that today is my birthday in which I turn 26 years old. Anyway, that is what I like every year of it especially for February and to top it off, my great friend here from DA and FA
blackwingedheart87 did this birthday pic for me which was awesome and I thank her for it. http://blackwingedheart87.deviantar.....quot-155330603
Also, I just read of what happened at the media summit that Nintendo had yesterday from this link http://wii.ign.com/articles/107/1071620p1.html . From the looks of it, it was just as I thought. They did show some more footage for games like SM Galaxy 2, S&P 2 and Metroid Other M and they have given out release dates for them.
-Super Mario Galaxy 2: May 23, 2010
-Sin and Punishment 2: June 7, 2010
-Metroid Other M: June 27, 2010
Based on the release dates here, two of them will be coming put before E3 since the E3 expo is June 15-17, 2010 and Metroid will come out 10 days after the expo. But at least we don't have to worry about Galaxy 2 and S&P 2 to be shown at E3 since they don't need to. That way the Big N can start focusing on revealing some of their 1st-party titles that we haven't seen yet on the Wii that deserves a chance. Since I have a pretty good feeling that Zelda is one of the games they may show at this year's E3(but I doubt that it will be released by the end of this year), I'll keep stressing this out, but I think that we will finally see Starfox Wii this year at the expo and now is the right time for it. Even my friend
celestialien86 mentioned of it in her recent journal entry and this is what she stated: "Nintendo does care about Star Fox (Huzza!), but right now Nintendo is working the game and it is looking for another company that can make a winning Star Fox game like Adventures or 64 (I kinda wish it was like Assault, but better) ^_^ We will find out either tomorrow or on E3 2010...". Personally I agree to what she said and besides, Miyamoto really wants to bring it on the Wii for sure. I'm betting that it could be the secret game that Retro Studios has been talking about since last year's E3 and that as I said before, Miyamoto did stated that after E3 '09, they have been working on it along with the new Zelda game because of the Wii Motion Plus peripheral even as we speak. I knew it. Hopefully our dreams of seeing him flying into the Wii will finally come to fruition. It's only a matter of time of now. 4 years is a long wait for it. ^^ That is why I hope that Nintendo doesn't screw it up at this year's E3.
Going on into the comic series of Sonic the Hedgehog, the new arc for Sonic Universe #13 has finally begun and the war with the Iron Dominion is only just the beginning since now that Snively and the Iron Queen has taken over the FF's city of New Mobotropolis. Fortunately, Nicole is no longer brainwashed by the Iron Queen's powers. But she is going to have to play along while Sonic, Tails, Monkey Khan and Sally Acorn are in the Dragon Kingdom trying to get the 4 clans of the kingdom to break away from the Iron Dominion so that they can ally with the Freedom Fighters and bring her down once and for all which could leave her at a very huge disadvantage. But from the looks of her, her power is not going to last very long and she is going to lose her power over her empire completely when the 4 clans turn against her which may be the secret that Nicole(undercover as Iron Nicole) reveals that the Iron Queen didn't see coming from this link from the preview http://archiesonic.wikia.com/wiki/A.....ehog_Issue_211 . Boy this is going to get really good. Even the relationship between Snively and the Iron Queen is getting strained once again which it is not going to last very long. He is going to realize that the Iron Queen doesn't even care about him and he is not going to take it very well which he has had enough with her. I have a feeling that even the Iron King(Jun Kun) is going to find out soon that both the Iron Queen and Snively are going to plan to dispose of him and when that happens, boy he is going to get pissed which turmoil from within is going to ensue and could give the FF's the advantage they need to defeat them. Hell, the Iron King is looking for a reason to bash Snively's head in since he doesn't trust him ever since he first met him. Even Robotnik is somehow regaining his senses piece by piece and when he recovers completely, my bet is that Snively is going to be his 1st victim that he's going after. :D For those of you fans as a treat, here are some of the preview pages for Sonic the Hedgehog #210 coming up next week. http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?p=5610496
Even for the story arc in Sonic Universe which is "Journey to the East", things are starting to heat up now that Sonic, Tails, Khan and Sally have managed to get one of the clans which is the Gossamer Clan(clan of spider ninjas) to break away from the Iron Dominion and there is 3 more to go which for the next issue which is #14, they have to deal with the Yagyu Clan(bat thieves) in which they are going to be tricky to deal with and soon enough, I'm going to be able to see one of my new favorite characters from the story arc Conquering Storm once again. ^^ :) The last time we saw her was back in STH #205 where she returned to the Dragon Kingdom under the orders from the Iron Queen herself. I'm thinking that C. Storm is not really a villain after all and I don't think that she is that loyal to the Iron Queen as we think she is. It appears that there is a pattern among the 4 issues that centers in this arc.
-Sonic Universe #13(Gossamer Clan - Bride of Endless Reach)
-Sonic Universe #14(Yagyu Clan - Yagyu leader since their bride which was the Bride of Rich Nights was killed by the Iron King as mentioned in STH #207)
-Sonic Universe #15(Raiju Clan - Bride of Conquering Storm)
-Sonic Universe #16(Shinobi Clan - Bride of Constant Vigil where Espio is now)
As for my art, more will be on the way, my friends.

Animation Supercon 2009...^^
Posted 16 years agoWow. What a day it has been for me and it has been one of the most exciting days of my life which I will remember. I went to a convention here in Miami, Florida where I live and it was only 5 minutes away from where I live known as Animation Supercon with my girlfriend
janinegrant2 . There at the convention I met with an all star cast of voice actors that I have heard so much about and seen their works. Those were the entire cast of Futurama with the creator of the series David X. Cohen along with the one I wanted to meet the most who is Rob Paulsen himself. Here are the links for each of the actors I ran into at the convention.
-Rob Paulsen: http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....rcon-139262716
-Phil LaMarr: http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....rcon-139259818
-Billy West: http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....rcon-139261569
-Maurice LaMarche: http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....rcon-139260490
-John DiMaggio: http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....rcon-139260891
They were such great people to talk to and it was a lot of fun. Also at the convention I bought myself a tag for my S.T.A.R.S Chris Redfield cosplay which is that of a weapon tag of Alpha Team considering that I'm a Resident Evil fan. I played some Brale matches at the game room and I met with a good friend I met over there who is a Sonic fan like me who has an account here in DA who is
setnaroxi . He is also an old-schooler when it comes to video games, mostly from Sega and Nintendo like me and pretty much watching animated shows whether it's American or Japanese and also a fan of the artist Jay Axer just like me which he draws as a hobby which is the same for me. :D He is planning to go to the next convention here in Miami, Florida at the same place where Animation Supercon which is not far from where I live. The expo is known as Infinite Bits and it's a video game convention which I plan to go for sure considering of me as a gamer as well and it begins on Oct.23-25. I'm so looking forward to it and so will
janinegrant2 as well. Also at the convention I commissioned a pic of Fox and Bowser battling each other as taurs in a Brawl battle from an artist who has an account here in DA whose name is I believe is Cayam based on the signature she wrote there in my commission. http://dragonheart07.deviantart.com.....ttle-139265522 ^^;
Anyway as for the media conference that Nintendo should be having this month in Japan, here is a link that my DA friend
celestialien86 found in GoNintendo.com http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=99284 . Whatever they have for October 8, they better have something good for us on 1st-party titles that we still have yet to see such as Starfox, Kirby, Pikmin, F-Zero and Donkey Kong and not something that we already have seen on the Wii. :) As for games that I have been playing recently on my Wii, Contra Rebirth is kickass material from Konami themselves and recently I unlocked one of the new characters in the game which you get to play as a cool alien lizard soldier who goes by the name of Plissken. Cool name for an alien, huh? Here is a video of him in action http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/24643 .

Posted 16 years agoWell another weekend has passed only this time for the better. This past weekend was an anime event in the FIU UP campus near to where I live in Miami called Yasumicon. As usual, I had a fun time going in my Chris Redfield S.T.A.R.S cosplay and enjoyed some of the events over there. At the expo, here is what I obtained from there:
-2 commissions from a friend I met over there and a DA friend here who is SasuNarugirl which her site is http://sasunarugirl.deviantart.com Anyway, her pics she did for me will be posted here in my FA gallery which I'll color.
-1 commission from this artist whose name is Kenny Calderon which I will be posting it in my gallery.
-1 Luigi figurine at the Dealer's Room at the convention.
-1 Tails Plushie also at the Dealer's Room.
Other than that, I went to the Gaming Room where they held a Smash Brothers Brawl tournament. But unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to join in. But I did however played against a player who was really good with Luigi which the same goes for me considering that Luigi is my top fighter. So we decided to have a friendly match of his Luigi versus mine. We both put up a really good fight with 3 stocks for each of us. He managed to get me down to one and I fought back to get him down to 1 as well. Unfortunately, we weren't able to finish it up since he had to get back into the tournament.
As for gaming wise, well nothing new from Nintendo only that this time that the upcoming Wii Sports Resort will have some new minigames included for use with the upcoming Wii Motion Plus peripheral which is already out. I was watching thru one of the videos of some of the minigames it has and the airplane minigame reminds me that of the classic Pilotwings game. Here is the video for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcakia_a2ZQ . You know, they could use the controls for this as a blueprint for the Starfox Wii game which can work for it. Here are my thoughts for it with the Wii Motion Plus. Though the game should let you use the Classic Controller and the Gamecube Controller if you so desire. ^^
Wii Remote w/Motion Plus and Nunchuck:
Arwing:
-Twist Left: Barrel Roll to left
-Twist Right: Barrel Roll to right
-Flick Remote forward: Boost
-Flick Remote backward: Brake
-A Button: Fire bombs
-B Button: Fire lasers; Hold down B to charge up your lasers
-C Button: Loop
-Z Button: U-Turn(All-Range mode only)
-Control Stick: Steer Arwing
Landmaster:
-Twist Left: Same as in Arwing(Barrel Roll)
-Twist Right: Same as Arwing(Barrel Roll)
-C Button: Hover
-B Button: Same as in Arwing
-Control Stick: Steer the Landmaster
-A Button: Get in or out of the Landmaster(All-Range mode only)
Foot missions(3rd-person perspective ala RE4 style):
-Control Stick: Move your character
-A Button: Aim
-B Button: Fire your weapon
-C Button: Crouch
-Z Button: Switch weapons
-Wii Remote: Point at screen of the targeting reticle
Let me know what you guys think of the play control like this for a new SF Wii game. I still have faith that the game will be revealed sooner or later from Nintendo. Who knows? It could show up at the media conference that Nintendo will have later this year in October like what they did last year. In the meantime, in other news in gaming, it has been officially confirmed that the original 7 Koopa Kids will be coming back in the new game for the Wii this November titled New Super Mario Bros. Wii. That is the greatest piece of fanservice that Nintendo has ever done. It's about time that they will be coming back. The last time we saw them was in Super Mario World back in 1991. Though they did made a cameo appearance in the GBA game Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. Anyway as I said, more stuff will be on the way in my gallery. ^^

More stuff to come..^^

Hi to everyone. ^^
Posted 17 years agoHello to everyone. I'm new here in FA and I decided to join the family here with other artists along with the ones that I have in deviantART. Most of my work I do involve with taurs from almost anything that you can imagine whether it can be from video games or anything. Some are what I make up in my creative head of mines. :D Hope you all enjoy my work here. Most of my work that will be shown can be found in my deviantART account.
