Writing for fun, my Top 5 favorite video games of all time
Posted 9 years agoSo, I thought I would do this list for fun. Everyone is encouraged to join with their own list, and I'm only doing this to practice writing. Though I would like to see what people put in their own lists. Anyway, here we go! My top 5 favorite video games of all time!
Number 5: The Final Fantasy Legend 2/The Legend of Zelda, Link's Awakening
I'm cheating right off the bat. When I was a kid, my first video game was on the original Gameboy. However, I can't remember which I played first. So, let's list both and give my own reasons, apart from nostalgia.
FFL2: Here we have some early evidence of my love of multi universe theory. A surprisingly deep story about a search for family, combined with a deep and highly custom combat system. The Final Fantasy series is well known, for better or worst, to reinvent RPG systems. While it has some failings, I can't help but come back to this game year after year. Gods, monsters, adventure, and no crappy romantic plot!...ok, maybe one midway through the game, but I think it works alright. Despite the limitation of the hardware, it's still a classic video game for me
LoZLA: While FFL2 was my first Final Fantasy game, this was my first LoZ game. And boy, what a great game to enter the series with! Take the movement of Link to the Past, and mix it with fun and simple dungeon design. Again, a deep and strong theme of dreams and awake, this game got me really thinking later on in my life. Sure, no Zelda or Ganon, but that adds to the charm. Not the last time this game series will be here, I promise! Another classic, this one should be played by every LoZ fan!
Number 4: Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask.
I struggled with this placement. It was this or number 2 in fact, but I'll get into that later. This game took the Zelda story, and turned it on it's head. A 3 day time limit that induces a bit of panic, while having the darkest story in the series. It's themes of death, time, and being unable to save everyone are heavy and personal. When I worked at Mcdonalds, there was a person who was a clear drug addict. I felt a wave of pity for them, and instead of trying to talk to them, I just asked if they wanted anything. They asked for a cup of coffee, and I bought one for them. When I walked home, I played the whole game again. Why? Because it was the reason I did what I did. Because this game taught me that, even if I did manage to "save" someone from their vices, I couldn't save everyone. It's very personal to me, and very beautiful in it's darkness. The Mask system is also a great symbol, as well as Kafia quest. I know some people hate it, but every time I beat the game, I do that quest to make sure they end up together. It's one of the few games that moved me to tears. Closest to a horror game I've ever played.
Number 3: Seiken Densetsue 3.
You might have noticed my last few games strong points were story and themeing. Well, that certainly isn't the case here! Because this story suuuuuuucks! Weak character and horrible villains, some of the worst I've ever seen! So why is it here? Because of the game mechanics! Party formation is incredibly fun, the game feels great, and I can over look all it's failings when I play. I want this game, more than any other on this list, to get a remake. Fix the bugs, balance the classes a little more, and write a better story. Na, scratch that last one, fuck the story in this game! The gameplay makes up for it! My personal favorite formation, for those who have played, Warrior Monk, Rune Master, and Bishop. I call it, "Team 999". Cuz max damage to everything alive or dead!
Number 2: Fallout 2.
So, I have an older brother who use to play this game a lot. This brother of mine I relate to the most of all my siblings, and so when I got to play this game, it felt like a coming of age...several crap character's later, it really felt like a coming of age. That's why this is number 2. It's tie to my own family, and the brother I look up to. I remember watching him play it, unable to read the text sure, but just being so captivated by the gameplay. It looked so complex and smart, I couldn't wait to play it! I played it again recently, and remembered not only why I loved it so much, but loved it so much more! The writing was amazing, funny yet serious in an "Airplane" sort of way... I think, I've never seen the movie. This game got me into the post Apocalypse setting, which I based my first short story in. A wonderful game that should be tried by everyone, and proof that story can make an experience more the worth wild!
And now, some honorable mentions:
Spyro 2: first Spyro game that made me fall in love with the series. Love that purple dragon~ Fuck the LoS games.
Final Fantasy 6: The best in the series to me. So many interesting character, and amazing gameplay. And the best villain ever!
Elder Scrolls Oblivion: The first time I was really a stealth sniper, and I loved it. Sneaking about and shooting dudes, oooohh~
Super Smash bros: N64 mother fuckers! My preferred version for the series, with ether Samus or Fox. Such great memories of kicking my brother's ass!
Tetris: Tetris. Nothing more need be said.
Number 1: Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic 2, the Sith Lords.
This game....this game. This was the game that defined my philosophy for years to come. With the single best female character in the history of gaming, some of the greatest foreshadowing I've ever seen, and wonderful symbolism. Even the main character, the Exile, is someone who didn't need to be written in a future game to have a personality. He was witty, irritated by his surroundings sometimes, and didn't identify as a Jedi. He was a leader, and a more true Jedi then anyone else in that game. The companions you got were a treat, the world dark, yet there was moments of tenderness and light heartened fun. I wouldn't be the person I am today without this game, and it's lessons it imputed on me. And, my favorite quite to date.

I became so aware of the many wonderful things have happened to me in the past year. all the friends I've made, the things I've done, and love I've experienced. This might have been one of the most defining years of my life, and I know a lot of people like to post in journals about how their lives have taken a turn for the worse, or something really bad has happened to them. So I hope that everyone who reads this, and are sick of these really sad journals, feel happy to know that there's this one person tonight, feels very happy right now. a little sad, yes, but still very content with his life. I'm not sure what my future holds. I'm not sure if everyone I've met here will be with me my entire life. but I hope the people who I have met here, will be with me long enough to be with me for more defining moments. one person in particular, I wouldn't mind him being in my life for all of it. but all my friends, I wouldn't trade anything for them, I'm just so grateful that they've been so kind to me.

romainblackdragon is doing a group picture, and I've joined in! It's going to be a group of sonas just standing in the nude/undies/whatever. Male temps will be there to, ether nude or in a speedo. Have chosen yet.
A huge fetish of mine is incest/selfcest and since I've got a male and female character, well you know where this is going. Artist is

Posted 11 years agoThank you to the hundred plus people who thought I was worth stalking and seeing what pictures I uploaded. I've got a couple things on the way I'll state here since reasons.
As for people who want to talk with me over skype, I'm terrible at keeping in contact with new people since I've got a number of people who are important to me. So if I don't talk to you much, it's not your fault (unless I tell you it is, in which case well...we have a problem).
So I've got a YCH from I believe it's being colored now, and should be up soon-ish. Funny thing, it seems we both forgot about this existing! I remembered I won a slot the same day he sent me a note saying he'd forgotten as well! Not sure how cause it was a really good YCH.

Posted 12 years agoI was grinding up some states of mine (smelting) when a friend gave me all the silver ore he had to smelt with, because that stat take forever to grind. I had 3000 silver ore to use, and so spent the next four hours smelting it and crafting it into Tiaras. With my 3000 Tiaras, I took it to the local market, and sold them for the grand total of 100K GOLD! God Damn!

Posted 12 years agoSo, I post an idea I had for a story on my Tumblr which involved a really bloody murder. I swear I'm not insane. During this, a friend of my is doing this really needy thing, and is practically begging for people to go out with her. I leave the computer to think, then return to post the idea. Apparently she thought everyone had gone to bed, which is why she was acting like this. I don't know. Then, she says not to ready any thing she's posted (too late), and I say I only read a few before just ignoring the rest and posting my thing. Now she thinks I wrote that from her things, and says "I don't know if I'm flattered by somehow contributing to your inspiration or a little scared". WHAT? How......wha........contribu..........ARGHEGHAOBWOBH! Why are girls so weird!?
Teenage drama (friends, girls, emotions).
Posted 12 years agoSo you know those moments when your single, and you feel supper depressed and alone? Well, I was feeling like that last night, got past it, life went on. Then one of my friends, a girl my age, post something that is word for word life how I felt then. I want to help her, but I know better then try and be her boyfriend, because that would ultra awkward.....being a guy when all you friend you can talk to being girls is really hard, especially when you don't want them to think you want to be in a relationship with them. But hey, everyone gets past it....right?
School reuinion
Posted 12 years agoSo, I just got back from my 8th grade class reunion, who I went to school with from Kindergarten to….um 8th grade. About half the people showed up, most late. We stood around at the school, went to Dicks, then to the beach. Here I learned that everyone of the people who came, except two of them, drank tons of alcohol, and smoked a little pot. A fair number were very vulgar, and did wear a lot of clothing. I wouldn't be surprised if they started banging when they left. But they were pretty chill, had some good talks, and seem alright.
So yeah, typical teenagers. Only thing that got me off guard was the amount of booze, which was much more prevalent than the weed. I thought Washington was all the pot, less on everything else. Maybe there's normally more alcohol at parties, I wouldn't know. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to empty the sand in my shoes.

Command and Conquer Zero Hour review
Posted 12 years agoSo I got C&C ZH about a week ago, and must say I'm having a lot of fun with it. Mind, I've only completed the China's and GLA's campaign, and done only one general's challenger. My impressions of each of the factions and generals: *keep in mind also that I can't connect to the online, so I've only fought the AI.
USA: If you’re not using the air units, you’re doing it wrong. I've tried both the “Laser” and “Super Weapons” generals, and they both mostly sucked. The only one I've had a lot a victory's with is the Air Force one. I've had been in vary tight situations were it looked like I would lose, but won because of good usage of air units. Their super weapon is the lamest of the three. I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I feel like I'm not hitting as many units as I could with other weapons. Overall, the USA takes to long, cost to much; but if you focus on their air force, you'll have a good army.
China: TANKS!!! Lots of tank fun here, and they bring it. You have a tank that excels against every type of enemy. Their air units aren't that great, but are good for defending your base, and the fourth story mission. But the best part of China, the Overlords. Have two Overlords in you attack group, you're set. China's also got really good infantry, but I never use them. I use the Infantry general for one battle, but that's because I captured them while using a GLA group. The other two are Nukes and (observably) Tanks. “Nukes” is a lot of fun, and starts with really powerful tanks. The Tanks general is also amazing, but I prefer the nuke one. China's kind of in the middle of expense and sturdy. Were the US is sturdy, but expensive; it’s the other way around for the GLA. I find that while they're balanced there, they lose out on speed. DAMN is China's units slow. But it's worth every second. I have yet to be in a panic situation with China. Oh yeah, they also drop a ton of Nuclear death on their enemy's, how can you go wrong?
GLA: The Global Liberation Army is my favorite. Their fast, the Quad Cannons are broken as hell, and their SQUD Storm is so fun. The GLA are terrorist, so they get fun stuff like toxins, demolitions, and stealth’s. Incandescently, that's also their generals (hooray for segways!). The “Demolitions” general is just not my type. I feel like I'm wasting money by using all these suicide bombers, when they could potentially be more help full then just blowing up one building (if they even manage that). But I've seen the AI use it pretty effectively. “Toxins” was fun when I used him, but I felt like I still need to ambush my enemies to be effective. Finally, “Stealth”: my favorite general. I'm the son-of-a-bitch who will have his units hidden at all times, and when you pass my base, you don't ever know it. Then, as you’re walking by, thinking "Where is he? I know he starts here." BOOM! People and Quad Cannons all around you, your army is gone, and your base in under attack! And as you are swearing at the top of your voice, trying to recover, I've just used my Nuke Cannons that I stole from the other guy to destroy your super weapon. Your resource gathers are all dead, and I'm capturing your Command Center. Welcome to "Being my Bitch", take your damn coat, and listen to me laugh!
Final results: USA: Meh. China: Nukes and Tanks, lots of fun. GLA: You've already lost.
