Go there. It's a shared account between me and my twin sister. The majority of our art there isn't really our art, but instead art we got from other artists. Mostly freebies. =P

I do live streams of let's plays. I even record the chat, so people who miss the streams can still see what went down in the chat. My two main series focus on RPG Maker games made by various people; and Game Boy Wednesdays, in which I play three different Game Boy games each week, one of which is voted by my viewers to come back and compete for popularity the next week. And I also do other random games. Admittedly, I'm not the best let's player around, but I have a (very) small fanbase of dedicated viewers.

To help make my account a bit more active, I'm going to be uploading more images from Furry Weekend Atlanta of last year. (I haven't been to a furry con yet, this year.) To avoid cluttering my account with them, I'll be spacing them out. Which is what I should've done the first time. Once again, I won't be uploading them all. Just the ones that look good.

Too bad FurAffinity doesn't have a way to organize images (that I've seen). Even if I won't be cluttering them all at once, they'll still be mixed in with all my regular stuff.

To recap: started off on good footing. Put lots of effort into my art, sometimes taking hours and hours to complete. But for all the work I put in, it never seemed to get the appreciation it needed to be worth it. So I start rushing my art, and then I get attention, albeit negative. So I stopped enjoying drawing, and left this as a mostly-advertisement of my let's play videos at Viddler.

This is a decision I have been regretting for quite a while. I look at people's art, and can't help but be totally envious of how nice their art looks. I so much desire to draw up my own creations, again. Recently, upon trying to draw something up for the LP, I realize that the issue at hand is coloring. I'm not color blind, but I might as well be. I have so much difficulty choosing colors to use, and added to the fact that it takes forever to color a full image, I can now see why I came to dislike drawing. Sitting in my lap, at I write this, is the lineart for the title card of the Presto LP I recently finished. While it's not perfect, and there was plenty of erasing done to get it looking right, I'm quite pleased with the result. But then I look at the colored version and I think "bleh".

Long story short: I want to take up drawing again. No more coloring, just lineart. The stuff I can be happy with. In fact, I'm very tempted to draw something up right now. [excuse]Too bad my house is a cluttered mess at the moment, leaving me no room to draw anything on.[/excuse]

Besides, I am way overdue to draw up another picture of myself.

Not so much an update as an alert for anybody who comes across my page.

I don't draw, anymore. I probably don't write, either. Putting effort into my stuff didn't get me any worthwhile attention, and rushing my stuff got me the wrong attention. I've essentially lost all confidence and enjoyment with drawing. All I might do are title cards and stuff relevant to my Let's Play videos, which I guess makes any new updates more an advertisment than a "lookit what I did!" thing.

That said, all of my older stuff will remain intact. It always baffles me when someone goes emo and kamikazes their account. Even if I won't be showing off anything worthwhile anymore, some of my older stuff is still interesting. Why shouldn't I let people still see it?

So today, I finally get around to trying to draw something. Myself behind a fairly large object. And I go into it thinking, mabye I'll put some actual effort into this. Make it look nice. And then I was an hour into the drawing, halfway through drawing this object. That's WAY too long. It's lengthy drawing time like that that's the reason I started quick-drawing my art in the first place.

I throw away that attempt, and decide to start over, this time intending to do the quick-drawing. I finish the object in less than 15 minutes. Still, I figure I could put in a bit of effort, sketch myself overlapping the object so I can make sure that my size and position behind the object is right. But that will make the lineart rather messy, so I grab an ink pen, because I had decided inking my art will make the finished lineart clearer and less messy, and start inking over the object.

And then partway into that, I realize that even though I'll be behind the object, I'm going to be resting on top of that object, so I actually would have some of me drawn on top of the object. Unfortunately, I had already inked over where this would happen, thus ruining the image. At this point I gave up.

Drawing just isn't fun, anymore. I'd really like to get a few of these images I have in mind done, but there's so many things I'd rather do than draw. And there's also the comic I started. Wish I never did. But now that it's started, I want to get it done, but it's never going to get done if I don't enjoy my art. I really don't know what I'm going to do.

Yeah, I've been busy. Still am. But more than that, I rather lack the confidence to draw anything. You might remember seeing my confidence shattering a couple months ago, what with the whole "Setting the record straight" and "how am I supposed to draw" dealies. Don't get me wrong, I still want to do the comic, and I'm sure I'll get my confidence back someday. But right now, I just don't see myself getting any enjoyment out of it.

Yes, it's been two weeks since FWA '09 ended, and I'm just now getting back to you guys. What took me so long? Well, I had over 100 pictures and 80 minutes of video to sort through. Sounds like I'm going to have a lot to show here, huh? =P

Well, not really. I'm not about to spam my account with so many pictures. Instead, I'm going to be uploading only what I feel is the best of the best. Besides, I can't upload videos here. Which is why I also made this huge video presentation of my whole trip at Viddler, starring me as my skunk plushie Samson. So, next time you guys have some free time (and I mean a LOT of free time), feel free to watch my special feature. In the meantime, I'm going to be figuring out which photos are worth uploading.

Anyway, I've got preparations to make for Furry Weekend Atlanta '09 this month. Afterwhich, I'll have the time to make with the arts again.

I know it's been a while since I drew up another page of my skunk comic. But, as I said before, I have other stuff I like to do, and that's pretty much why I've been gone. Working on my game. Too bad I can't show any of it here, as 99% of it is stock graphics and sound. Actually, I was tempted to draw up something related, but I couldn't decide what. Me in an RPG battle? A scene from my game? If I drew a scene from my game, which scene would it be? Eh, I'll probably draw such a scene eventually. But any picture I'd draw from it would be about as ambitious as the game itself.

I'm a bit confused. How is it I've got 51 watchers, but only three answered my question that could potentially be answered with only a single word?

I'm a bit hesitant to bring this up, as I've been being all dramatic and making people frustrated as of late because of it, but I really want to get this out. You see this picture here?

That's the quality I'm capable of. In fact, I'm sure if I really put some effort into it, I could draw up something even more awesome. But during that year, I was creating some really nice stuff, and my quality was increasing at a noteable rate. It peaked at this picture. After then, my art hasn't been quite up to standard, and I started uploading sporadically, only really getting back into art recently. But the days of putting out real quality art seem to be gone.

You notice how long I say it took to draw that wolf picture? Almost 10 hours. That's the biggest reason I don't do art like that anymore. The harder I try, the longer it takes. Now, there are a couple things you should know.

During that year of great art, I had no job. So I had all the time in the world to create increasingly awesome artwork. I was also taking an extended break from video game making that year. That's right, I make video games, and as you can imagine, it's a time consuming-practice. And that's not all I like to do during my free time. I also like to write, I like to sprite, I'm now taking pictures, and I spend plenty of time chatting with friends on forums, chatrooms, and Second Life. And I'll sometimes play video games as well. And of course, now I have a job.

So while other artists might have the time to get their art as awesome as they can (even though they very much likely have jobs to contend with as well), I don't. I have other stuff to do, and if there's any one thing I'd rather try to get perfect, it's making great video games (and subsequentially writing). Sure, I could probably make the effort to create the really good stuff, but that would take days per picture, and I don't have that sort of attention span, plus I'd rather get through this comic before the end of the year.

Don't get me wrong, I like to draw, it's fun. I'd really love to create art that genuinely wows people, but I just don't have that sort of time. Maybe I'll slowly get better at this quick art. I know people that can create sketches in five minutes that would take me hours to make look as good. But for the time being, what you're seeing from me now is pretty much it. Sorry to disappoint.

(Oh yeah, I also don't have a lifetime of drawing experience behind me.)

Yeah, I bet this is what some of you were thinking when you saw my gallery updates today. See, I've been playing Second Life for a year, now, and the game's built-in snapshot feature has made me somewhat of a pictureholic, so much so that I asked for a camera for Christmas. And, I got one, and it turns out I'm just as much a pictureholic as I am in not-real life.

Now, don't worry, I'm not gonna upload every picture I take to here. Some are of people, and I wouldn't upload pictures of them without their permission. I'm also gonna try to keep my photography uploads at least animal-related (unless it's something really good). And, I'm not gonna upload any I don't think are worth it.

Dunno, been a few months since my last journal entry. Decided to say what's on my mind.

First off, apologies for that Erika picture. Looking at it now, maybe it was more fun rushing through it, and the lineart ultimately wasn't that bad, but it's not fun to look at and that ultimately means it wasn't worth rushing.

At the same time, I look at my spritework. I clearly much more enjoy working on sprites. Maybe it's what I should stick with. I dunno, it's one of those things I like to do on a whim rather than all the time. At the same time, I've got two comics I'd really like to do someday, and I'd rather they not be sprite comics.

I think, though, I'd have been a bit more active had I not spent these past months somewhat addicted to Second Life. I'm out of the addiction for the time being, though, so we'll see if anything happens. Speaking of SL, I've been taking a TON of in-game screenshots. Love photography in SL so much that I'm gonna get me a camera for real. Might post random pictures here, might not. I think I need to add that link to my signature. Anyway, I finally got around to noting gift art from months ago, and I mentioned a fresh piece of gift art as well.

I want to bring this up again. I went on hiatus for a while. I probably wouldn't have remembered to note the six-month-old gift art had I not saved a response I got from a comment on the picture. But for all I know, somebody's gift went forgotten during the hiatus. If a pic you drew for me is not listed in the journal linked above, could you let me know?

What's your opinion of them? Should they be on Fur Affinity? Reason I ask, I'm a Second Life user, myself, and I'm quite the shutterbug, with over 200 pictures taken since starting at the end of last year. Now, don't worry, I wouldn't upload every single one of them. But among the random snapshots that get taken willy-nilly, some of them I think are pretty nice. Would you guys be interested in seeing them?

EDIT: Upon furthur inspection of the rules here at FA, I have found that SL photos are only permitted if they showcase your own avatar, and only if that avatar was specifically created by or for you. That pretty much eliminates every one of my artistic SL photographs. Which rather sucks, 'cause pictures like < this > would make a great addition to my gallery, I think.

I kinda wonder, though, how every other SL screenshot here at FA is able to get away with breaking this rule. Hmm...

Simply put, I'm not drawing anymore, I'm not writing any more. And actually, I'll probably be removing people from my watched list. Nothing against them specifically, but part of the reason why I haven't been around is I've fallen behind in looking at new art in my inbox and it scared me away. And I quote:

Why I'm not drawing anymore, I pretty much just overdid it a couple years back. Too many drawings in such a short timeframe, and too many of those were gift art. It really put me off drawing. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at drawing again, but I'm extremely hesitant and doubt I'll be doing any any time soon. As for no writings, blame writer's block.

I did this in somebody else's journal (hint: it's a person I watch), and thought it'd be fun to try it myself.

So, anybody who's interested, ask me three questions. Any three questions you can think of, and I'll answer them honestly to the best of my ability. At least, so long as it's not sensitive information like my bank account number. ;)

Here's the story. I recently got a new job. Three weeks in. It started off as full-time, but yesterday I was told my hours have been cut. I will now work 30 hours a week instead of 40, effectively reducing my paycheck by $75 (not including taxes).

I've been passively thinking about doing commissions for a while now, but with this recent event, I'm now taking it into serious consideration. Problem is, I'm not that great an artist. If my art is worth anything, it isn't worth much. So I have two questions for you all.

1) Would any of you even be interested in commissioning me?

2) How much would you say my art is worth? White background vs colored background?

I dunno how many females this'll reach, or even if any will be willing to help me out with this. For those who don't know, I have created a couple self-hypnosis files with intent of boosting one's imagination so that they "transform" into their fursona, so they look and feel like a fur/anthro in their mind's eye. I'm starting up one such file that someone requested. Along with it being a furry transformation, he also wants it to be a transgender transformation, male to female.

Being that I'm male myself, I wouldn't know how to describe what it's going to feel like to have female breasts and sexual anatomy, or whatever else might be different. I mean, places like Wikipedia can give me the technical details, but I need personal experiences in order to find out stuff like (as a "safe" example) if it hurts your breasts if you lay down on your chest.

I know that asking a girl about her body is getting a little personal, but I really do want to get this transformation accurate. And I'm sure it'd be difficult to explain how it feels considering I assume most of you girls have always been girls. But I'm sure there'd be some way to explain it, perhaps making a comparison to something similar (one girl I talked to related one's breasts to the feeling of a newborn baby's bottom). So I'm really hoping that there is at least one girl who reads this who is willing to tell me what it's like to have a female body. The discussion doesn't have to be in my journal. It could be through notes, or some instant messanger such as AIM or Skype.

( 1) What is your favorite Pokemon from Red/Blue/Yellow? Why?
Growlithe. At the time tigers had temporarily replaced raccoons as my favorite animals. And Growlithe is very similar to a tiger. Actually, before I got the games, I thought Growlithe was a feline.

( 2) What is your favorite Pokemon from Gold/Silver/Crystal? Why?
Offhand, I'd say Lugia. I'd say its my favorite likely due in part to Pokémon 2000. It made me insanely jealous when Ash got a ride on the Lugia from that movie.

( 3) What is your favorite Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald? Why?
This one is tough, as I didn't really connect with the majority of the new Pokémon from the game. In fact I've used very few Pokémon from it. I can't really say which one I liked the most. (As a side note, I don't think I've ever owned a Lugia. :()

( 4) What is your favorite Pokemon from Diamond/Pearl? Why?
My interest dropped midway through this one, but I was keeping enough of an eye on this game to easily choose my favorite Pokémon from this. Lucario. And the movie had nothing to do with this one. I can't really say why I like it so much. I never got one. But it was the Pokémon I was most interested in collecting.

( 5) Did you ever watch the Pokemon anime? Who was your favorite character? Why?
Yes, I watched it. My favorite character is probably Sparky, Richie's Pikachu. It's the scruffy fur. :)

( 6)Have any specific favorite move in the game itself? Why?
Fire Blast. I've only trained a couple Pokémon with it. Its accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. But I was really into the Fire element and to an extent Japanese (though I never had the patience to learn that). And Fire Blast looks like it uses a Japanese (or maybe Chinese, I don't know) symbol for (I assume) fire.

( 7) Ever actually level all the way to level 100 before? How did it feel?
Yes. But I cheated. Duplicated Rare Candies. So it felt like cheating. But in a fun "nya-nya!" sort of way. I haven't ever reached L100 fairly.

( 8) Ever been one-shotted by a Pokemon much weaker than one of your own? Explain.
I'm sure I have. But I can't recall any specific instance.

( 9) Did you ever "catch 'em all?" How did it feel?
Nope.

(10) You know there are 500 Pokemon in existence now, right? Do you think they'll ever make more?
Yes, and, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

(11) How did you feel when Game Freak introduced Pokemon daycare and breeding back in G/S/C? Did you feel it was a bold move on their part considering that the "focus" of the Pokemon franchise was on children?
I found it kinda interesting, but it wasn't a big deal to me. Incidentally, does anybody else find it weird how a civilization with advanced technology like video phones, small balls that can capture creatures many times larger by turning them into light, and transfer physical real-life objects as computer data, doesn't have the slightest idea how Pokémon mate?

(12) Do you honestly feel that mammalian Pokemon should lay eggs?
Platypus lay eggs.

(13) Smeargle is renowned as the only Pokemon that can learn every single move in the game by
use of its Sketch ability. If you used a Smeargle, what dream moveset would you give it?
Tough question. Offhand, not choosing specific moves, I'd probably go with some sort of accuracy-lowering attack, paralysis attack, and a physical and a special attack of undecided types.

(14) What's your favorite evolution of Eevee? Why?
Narrowing this down... I barely know about the two new evolutions, I don't like Espeon or Jolteon... So either Flareon, Vaporeon, or Umbreon. I really can't choose. Flareon is super-fluffy, Vaporeon has those cool fins and is possibly my favorite Water Pokémon, and Umbreon has the dark element and those cool glowy markings.

(15) What's your favorite starting Pokemon? Why?
It ultimately comes down to which Pokémon I liked through all three evolutionary stages. ...Can anybody remind me what the water and grass choices in R/S were? Actually, that probably makes my decision easier. Hmm, it comes down to either Squirtle or Bulbasaur. They're two of the only Pokémon I can think of that had nice middle-stage evolutions. Although I'm not totally a fan of Venusaur or Blastoise. I'm gonna go with Bulbasaur, because I can think of more water Pokémon I'd enjoy having to make up for lack of Squirtle than I can thinking of grass Pokémon to make up for lack of Bulbasaur. Actually, I've very rarely used any grass Pokémon that weren't either Bulbasaur or Chicklita.

(16) What's your favorite legendary Pokemon? Why?

(17) What's your favorite Pokemon type? Why?
Electric. Thunder Wave, ftw. :)

(18) Pokemon has went on to spawn several soundtrack CDs, particular from the movies. Any
particular favorite song?
I own 2BA Master, and the soundtracks for the first two movies. Can you guess the song that's my favorite? Think real carefully. Give up? The Legend Comes To Life. AKA, "Lugia's Song". Incidentally, I hear the song was changed some from the Japanese original. Unforutnately, I cannot find the original song anywhere. :(

(19) Did you like any of the Pokemon movies? Did you dislike any of the Pokemon movies?
Explain.
I used to like the first movie, despite how I heard that the critics and a lot of people thought it was lackluster. Then I watched Pokémon 2000 and later Pokémon 3, and now I'm gonna have to agree. Critics also disliked 2000 because you know from the start what Ash is going to do (collect three orbs to save the world). But I like specifics. I'm more interested in seeing how it happens than I am just the basic information. And thanks in part to Lugia (I'd like to note at this point my favorite Pokémon of all time is and will always be Growlithe), Pokémon 2000 is the best of the three movies I've seen. Though Pokémon 3 is certainly good as well.

(20) Do you feel Pokemon is childish?
Depends on where you look.

(21) If you woke up one day and you discovered that you'd been turned into a Pokemon, which
one would you be?
Okay, it's gonna come down to two choices. First, a random choice, as I likely wouldn't get to choose myself. Okay, 368, Gorebyss, evolution of Clamperl. ...Oh, wait. That's a fish. Okay, so that one is random assuming I woke up in the ocean. Let's try a different random one. One that I could wake up in my room as. 258. Mudkip. (Oh yeah, that's one of the R/S starters.) Water Pokémon again. Kinda hard to avoid. But at least this one I'd be able to head into the bathroom and fill the tub when my skin feels a little dry. Now, if I actually had some choice in my form (perhaps the entity that changed me knew what I'd like to be the most), it would definately be Growlithe, which I remind you all is my absolute favorite Pokémon.

(22) Do you feel Pokemon, now 10 years old, is starting to show its wear and tear?
Without a doubt. Come on, Nintendo, do something different with the series. I want real-time battles and an MMORPG. Or it could be less massive, like the Phantasy Star Online games. But I'm tired of the near-same battle system every game, with every quest being collecting 8 badges and becoming the Pokémon Champion whilst dealing with a ridiculous enemy "team".

(23) Could you ever see yourself not liking Pokemon? Explain.
Not likely. I won't likely be getting any more of the games if Nintendo continues reusing the current formula, but I still like the critters a lot.

(24) Did you play Pokemon with your buddies at school? How often? Weren't those the days?
Buddies?

(25) How much longer do you see yourself enjoying Pokemon?
Into the afterlife. In fact, God willing, I'm gonna be one in a fantasy life. :)

For those who pay attention to my favorites (and have Mature content turned on), you may notice that I just recently faved a picture by the talented  ruaidri in which I, as my fursona, am taking part in a rather big orgy. In fact, I'm sure a few people from that group will be coming to my page too, so this goes out to them, too, as well as anybody else who takes the time to read this.

I am not really a fan of yiff or any similar types of art or stories. In fact, I rather dislike it. However, there are a few talented artists (like ruaidri) whose quality of artwork outweighs my dislike of it. And when ruaidri offered to draw anybody who responded to his journal into an orgy, I of course wanted in because it meant he'd be drawing me. (And, okay, I kinda liked the kinky idea.)

However, my participation in the picture is purely "non-canon". Both I and my dracoon self would never actually take part in any sort of sexual act. Same goes for all my characters. So if for some reason somebody wants to draw something for me, please keep it PG unless I say otherwise.

Serious question. Last year (where most of my quality stuff is), I was for some reason very artistic. Over the course of nine months, from March to November, I drew a total of I think 12 pictures. But after November, I don't know what happened, but this artistic streak suddenly came to a halt. Nine months later, and I've only drawn half that, and not one of them is as stellar as anything I created last year. The picture I just uploaded today is my best since then, but it's only a basic character image.

I think somewhere along the line, I forgot why I was drawing in the first place. Like, really. I can't remember. Nor can I figure out where the motivation to create so many good pictures came from. I'm hoping that, after hearing some of your reasons, it'll help remind me of mine.

Do people do quizzes at FA? I know it's a common deal at DA. Which is where I got this quiz from. Stolen it from Ulario, who stole it from Guirel.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU BECAME YOUR CHARACTER?

1. How would you react?
I'd probably be super-excited. And I'd wonder how it happened. (God?) And overall be like, "whoa". But yeah, mostly excited.

2. How would you handle the situation?
Well, I'd most likely stare at myself in the mirror. Experiment with my new features. You know, try wagging my tail, feel my muzzle and stick out my tongue, try flapping my wings, try sitting down with those wings and tail... And I'd probably call out to God, asking him "why now", because if this happened, he'd be the most likely cause. And I'd also panic, because I'd have to wonder if I'll be able to change back when I need to. You know, when I have to see my family.

3a. What would be the hardest part about your character, physically?
I'd likely say those wings. The tail probably won't be a big deal, I can just set it out of the way. But sitting down with those big wings (especially if I had to drive my car), I'd have to figure out how to fold them to allow for both comfortable sitting and the ability to reach around them when doing so.

3b. (powers, if any)?
Does flight count? I'd definatley have to learn how to fly. But that would actually be pretty fun.

4a. Who could you tell about this transformation (family members) ?
Heck, no. My family doesn't even know about my furry interests. I can't imagine how they'd react if they found out I was just transformed into something like this.

Honestly, my only friends are online. No pity, please. I chose it this way.

4c. (net friend) ?
Who would believe me? Although I guess I could stick my furred face in my scanner. In which case, probably tell the folks at this web forum I go to. I know a couple furs, there.

5. Would you become a Hero or Villian?
If I had to choose one of those? Hero. Otherwise, I'd just sit at home and hide.

6. Will you hide yourself or try to live life as normal as you can?
Like I said, I'd probably want to hide. Only come out in the early morning or late evening to take a nice flight. Gotta excersize those wing muscles. :)
Then again, I gotta make money somehow. Maybe find some small inconspicuous job somewhere, where hopefully there won't be enough people to care about a dracoon working. Being famous is not something I want to happen.

7a.There is a cure but...you have to leave on big journey.
And what would this journey entail? I might go. I could fly partway.

7b. ...you have to switch "species" with someone.
Are we talking about someone who is also transformed? Or just a human? I'd say no, either way. Unless I could easily switch back. :)

7c. ...you have to turn a lot of people into whatever your character is.
Like I said, if I could easily change back, sure. I'm sure there are some people out ther who would want to become what I am.

7d. ...you have to kiss your true love.
True love?

7e. ...you have to drink medicine every once in awhile to avoid changing back.
Definately, yes. And of course I'd occasionally "forget" to take my medicine. ;)

7f. ...you have to become a were-something your character something.
Sure, why not?
