Returning to work; Commissions open
Posted 9 years agoI was released from outpatient on Monday so I'll be returning to work officially on Monday. I'm only going to be working restricted hours for the time being though to keep my stress levels low and hopefully keep me on the right path. I've gotten my follow up appointments all set up so things will hopefully be alright.
That being said I still need something to keep me busy and to bring in some extra money so commissions are still open for all types. If you'd like to inquire please send me a note! And don't forget to check out my new commission type: Collages!

Hospital, outpatient, and commissions
Posted 9 years agoWell, it's been interesting for the past few days. I was released today from the hospital after a 5 day stay. Don't be concerned, I'm alright! I'm doing much better than when I went into the hospital last Wednesday and I'm going to continue to improve.
I'm now in an outpatient program that I'll be doing for the next 2 weeks to continue my progress. The only problem is I can't work while I'm in outpatient and I've been out of work since last week. While I'm doing well right now financially I'd like to try to keep my money in a good situation. Therefore I'm opening up commissions to work on while I'm in outpatient.
All of my commission types are open so if you're interested please send me a note and we can work out the details :)

A GoFundMe for a very special cause
Posted 10 years agoHello, everyone! This post feels a bit odd for me as I am often able to work through anything financial but this is something I just can't do alone and, since this is something so special, I just feel I need to share.
My life is going to be changing in a very drastic and exciting way. I am going to be getting a service dog. As some of you probably now I have Asperger's Syndrome and a few of the relating conditions such a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I also suffer from some other mental illnesses, but I don't want this to sound like a desperate plea for pity. When I found out service dogs could be trained to assist people with Autism Spectrum Disorders I was elated. My dogs have always been the light of my life and have helped me work through so much. When Soleil passed earlier this year I felt I lost one of my tethers. I was Soleil's person. She was like a service dog who just couldn't go out with me.
And recently a very wonderful dog and organization have come into my life. The dog is a little 3 month old Rottweiler named Piccalina. She is going to be trained through the PAWS training program (an associate of the accredited Paws4People foundation) and eventually we will be certified by Paw4People and recognized by them as a dog/handler service team. However, her training is not going to be inexpensive. We're looking at about $8000 total.
I know Asperger's probably doesn't seem like something one would need a service dog for but it is truly a silent suffering. This is going to change my life in ways I can't even accurately describe.
In order to raise funds I have begun a GoFundMe campaign, all proceeds of which go towards Piccalina's training. The link can be found here: gofundme.com/vqexk6n8
Even if you can't donate, if you could share the word I would be so very, very grateful. I almost feel guilty posting something asking for money, but I this is something that my family and I can't afford on our own. Post MFF and the 2016 season!
Posted 10 years agoWell there's nothing like sitting at an airport gate to remind you the fun's over...but this was one heck of an amazing con and I'm so glad I was able to attend with so many amazing people! Even though my feet were a hot mess the entire con it was still amazing~ However, I don't recommend going a con with two sprained feet...it really is its own silent form of torture :'(
But otherwise I had so much fun getting to share this con with friends compared to last year when I went it alone. I was so, so happy to see
and 
again! I miss those two dearly and getting to reconnect with them over the weekend was an utter joy! Definitely hoping we can meet up again at a con next year! And of course getting to know some other members of my Twinky Arts family was amazing! I loved hanging out with everyone ;w;
It was also great to get to know
and 
better! They're both such sweet people and I loved sharing a room with them :3 Our other roommates were a delight as well and I appreciate the chance I got to room with a great group of people!
I loved adding to my squirm with three new amazing wyrms from Hopeful Monster~ I kinda way splurged and added Jack Frost to the squirm (I couldn't resist dang it)! It was fantastic to catch up with
and 
~ They're both such sweet, sweet ladies it's always a joy to get to share a nice catch up conversation :)
So in all my con was fantastic beyond words! The only things I regret are not being able to do the dance competition (stupid feet), that I didn't get to suit as much as I normally do at a bigger con (again, stupid feet), and that wasn't with me :'( Hopefully next year ;3
So, with con season officially over for me, here are my locked in cons for 2016 where you can definitely plan on seeing me: Furnal Equinox, Anthrocon, and MFF. There may be more to add to the list, but I'm going to be trying my best to crack down of my savings so I can move so it may stick to those three. Even so I'm already looking forward to 2016 and seeing many of you again at future cons! Thank you all so much for making my weekend something special <3

The death of someone dear
Posted 10 years agoToday I lost my shadow out of the blue. Soleil, our dog who would follow me everywhere I went had to be put to sleep due to suddenly found aggressive cancer. She seemed fine to me last night and now she's gone. I'm alone in my room for the first time in years. She was always there and suddenly she's not. I keep looking over expecting to see her on her bed beside me and she's not there. I'm having such a hard time swallowing that she'll never be there again. A place that was my sanctuary is a prison of loneliness now. I keep wishing it's a nightmare, that it's not true. I'm just lost in a way i haven't been since I lost my grandpa all those years ago...
Rest in peace, Soleil. I love you with all my heart and I'll miss you everyday. Thank you for everything you did and please watch over us from doggy heaven.

Slight change of plans!
Posted 10 years agoSo a slight change of plans has come up! My brother just got a huge promotion so I'll be going to Chicago with my mom to celebrate with him. I'll take my smaller drawings with me but I won't be able to take my bristol pad since it's gigantic XD I'll still be working on smaller drawings so stuff will still be getting done!

Posted 10 years agoI got a new job! I'll be working at Michael's now :3 The challenge: try not to spend my paycheck before I leave work, lol! I've got a week before I start my new job so I'll be working on owed commissions to try to get them squared away before I begin :)
In other news:
I'll be going back to the psychiatrist for the first time in over a year next week. I'm a little nervous but still looking forward to maybe getting some more issues worked out. I'm also hoping to be put back with a councilor to take care of some different issues, including my gender dysphoria. So it should be productive, I'm hoping.
And just because I'm hyped: the Attack on Titan movie is coming to the US!!! Next month!!! I am totally driving to DC to see it, I don't care about the hour drive XD So if you're a fellow AoT fan see if it's coming to anywhere around you! Unfortunately it's a really limited release but it's always worth a check!

So now onto the subject of commissions! They are currently open and I could use one or two. Due to health issues I quit my job and am currently looking for a new one, but as usual, it's an uphill battle. So in the meantime I could really use the extra money to go towards bills and saving for MFF.

I've always envied those whose work is their art and it's something I'd truly be interested in pursuing. However, I have a lot of questions and could deeply use some advice.

Back from Fur The More!
Posted 10 years agoWell I've made it back safe and sound from the con! I was super nervous about driving alone on the highway and in the DC area, but I survived! I did get lost a lot though XD But in the end, I had a good time!
I got lots of snugs as PajamaFox (I think he's getting popular XD) and as Levi to! I've already seen some pictures floating around and they're super cute X3 I also got some new wyrms, two adorable little Swirl Snouts! I didn't know the standards were for sale or I probably would have bought one, lol! And of course I got more are of Jacuzzi, lol! Always on a quest for art of him to hang in my new house (and because I massively collect art of him XD).
And most awesomely of all: I won 3rd place in the dance competition! Talk about a huge improvement from where I was just two months ago at FE! Once videos of the competition are up I'll link you my dance :)
Anyhow, next con up is Anthrocon with the ever lovely (whose couch I crashed on this past weekend XD). Look for us tearin' up Pittsburg in a little over a month ;D Hope to see a lot of you guys there! <3
