MFF closing thoughts.
Posted 8 years agoJegus! A quick weekend just like last year, but I loved every second of it. Met up with a lot of people both old and new, made friends, got to try some new stuffs, got more tat to throw up on my wall, met some of my favorite artists and got to have a surprise visit from Alkali and his group during the Fuzzy Logic escape room.
I also got to beat myself up a bit for not realizing that the skywalk took longer to get to the con center and the Hyatt compared to just crossing the street. Learn something new every day I suppose?
Went to some panels, a few of the writing ones really helped me think and the others were just plain funny or interesting. I loved the fact that we broke a couple of records this year and made so much money to donate to charity.
Beyond that, I loved the dances and I finally got to try flow dancing in public. The ride there and back was dreadful but it's the price you gotta pay I suppose. Still keeping an eye out for any cheaper hotels or motels in the area though. Spending nearly a grand to get there is a bit much I feel. But I loved it nonetheless! Getting to know some of the Iowa Furs from last year really made this trip better as well, I just wish I could have gotten to see them more.
Either way! I look forward to next year and am hoping college, work, and life will be kind enough to let me go. If I'm really lucky I'll keep an eye out for other conventions.

Update?
Posted 8 years agoSo I now have a decent full time job to help sustain myself but this also means I need to manage out my time better. So! I have started writing a bit more and am trying to set aside about an hour a day for it. I do have a few example stories in the works, hopefully short stories but we'll see where it goes. I'm hoping for anyone who does visit my page they can enjoy it.
Otherwise I am planning on going to MFF for anyone else who is head up there this year, got my room paid for and I'm still looking to see who all is for sure going there. Looking forward to it as much as I did last year! :D
So, that's just an update, take care y'all.

MFF
Posted 9 years agoI had an amazing time and met a lot of good people this year. I look forward to the next and I also have to say that MFF was just what I needed to rekindle my love of this amazing fandom. I love each and every one of you and look forward to (Unfortunately) getting old with you all.
Hopefully I can get some art and my suit going so that way I can get even more immersed into the fandom itself. This is Dr.Larks, thanking you all again for a great MFF 2016, I think I'll have these memories for a while and I hope to add more soon. <3

Graduation!
Posted 11 years agoWell I finally made it! May 25th 2014, my graduation date, and between my gradumatation and looking at the future, I can't help but feel like a dog that just got out of the house. "I'm free! i'm free! ... now what?" it's a tough question i'm sure just about everyone faces right after they finish high school but overall i'm happy! maybe I can also finally get to work on some stuffs, till next time. - Dr.Larks
Blizzard
Posted 11 years agoWell, first time we got out early for weather this year, didn't expect it to actually happen, but it did! and it looks pretty bad out there too. Ice, snow, the whole deal. This isn't really a focused journal but hey, might as well post something.
Happy New year!
Posted 12 years agoHappy new year to everyone :D may your new year be prosperous!
It's quiet, too quiet
Posted 12 years agoWell for anyone reading this, I find it a bit too quiet, might be a sign telling me to get a job, however I still have school to finish up and then life to think about. I'm sure things will pick back up once school starts again. - Dr.Larks
Hello Furry World!
Posted 12 years agoWell, might as well make a mention of my existence, not sure if anyone will even read this but I will make attempts to update as I go. Ahem, Hello! I am Dr.Larks and I aspire to learn more about the fandom and be more involved in it. This has been going by slowly so far and with college possibly looming over the horizon I am not quite sure what my time will look like but I plan to go to at least one furcon before ... well before whatever might happen, cheers all. - Dr.Larks
