It’s that time of year again! I’m doing a spooky and/or Halloween-themed drawing after day for the month of October! This year, I’m cutting down on the amount of anonymous humans I usually do and draw more anthros (including self-inserts, featuring Alan.

That brings me to my point! If anybody wants their OCs in one of these drawings, drop them below or message me (here, twitter, bluesky or if we follow eachother on discord), and I‘ll select a few!

One of the things I regret about all my characters is not dedicating more art that gives them more lore. I gave them all names because I like them enough to not be one-off characters to draw the occasional smutty drawing for.

Any other artists have this same issue?

First of all, hey FA! Yep, still alive.

So yeah… sorry for my sudden MIA status art wise for 2 1/2 months, I truly am. Without getting into pity party territory, it’s been a rough couple of months lol.

Primarily, my job. With me getting past a string of holidays, (and thus busy shifts) it took a toll and left my motivation for art at the bottom rung of my priorities. Art block only made things worse, despite the fact I have two more raffle drawings I need to do and a few other WIPs sitting in my gallery. Lastly, to be 100%… procrastination. (My anime watch thread on twitter fell victim to that a long time ago…)

Now you see why I don’t do commissions (yet)

These big burnout cycles usually happen at least once a year for me, so hopefully I’m back to posting with this year’s Bunny Brucie Easter drawing I uploaded the other day!

**DISJOINTED 1AM RANT ALERT*

First off.... How's the quality of my art been? Anything y'all want me to draw more of, tips for improvement?

Personally, I think I'm better in some areas, but regressed in others. It's really difficult to adequately describe. I feel like Sketchtober, for example, was somewhat of a step down quality wise from last year for some reason. I partially blame a lack of original ideas and the 'on the fly' prompts. There are plenty of drawings that I REALLY like, but I felt like I could've done better.

One other thing I regret this year is almost completely abandoning my SFW art on word360. Don't get me wrong, NSFW is fine and all, but I wanna draw more wholesome stuff too and I have some ideas I just never committed doing.

I dunno. Either way, aiming to continue to improve going into 2025!

Owner of this site just passed away from what looks to have been a nasty case of pneumonia not too long ago.

Reading his last social media posts about his struggles, and also the criminally shit state US healthcare is in, is heartbreaking.

Yep, that’s just it. 🙃 took a few reposts to realize that my *art tag* that I’ve used since the beginning was suddenly search banned. So… yeah. Frustrating night lol.

(Also, made it thro sketch/inktober and Covid and getting over bronchitis, that also happened)

Yep, after a 3 year streak, 'rona finally got me. Tested positive yesterday (but probably had it for a couple days).

Good news is I think I'm through the worst of it, though the initial phase SUCKED. Felt like a bad cold/flu. I've been quarantined and off work and focusing on getting better (and regaining my lost appetite) however long that will take

Despite this, I'm still marching forward with my daily October sketches as planned. I just uploaded my second drawing, so expect more to come!

It's been a loooong time coming due to my timidness and uncertainty about things, I've put this off for a few years.

I'm very close to doing atleast 3 slot, single-character, sketch comms soon. The recent draw thread I did + a commission I did from a mutual (to test how paypal transactions work) was a really good confidence booster for me. It basically told me "Oh wow... I can fucking DO this!"

My only uncertainty are the prices... I was thinking $15-20 for a thigh up shot or maybe a bust (chest up) shot, $20-30 for a full body.

Any suggestions?

NOTE: I will NOT be making comms a full time thing. I wanna keep this strictly as a fun hobby, not a job to eventually get burnt out on. I might do this from time to time, tho.

This might be a dumb question, but how in the hell do y'all get such HD-looking pfps despite the size limit?

Yep, more specifically a “search ban”. All NSFW accounts on there are “search *suggestion* banned", but the aforementioned one pretty much makes you totally invisible in search results unless you have a bunch of followers. While I’m lucky to have built up a lot, it felt like I was talking to a brick wall over there, and now I know why. Yet, I don’t know what caused it besides algorithm f*ckery…

This is somewhat problematic since I have a drawing almost ready to post, yet I’m 50/50 on if posting will simply extend the ban and I heard they can last a while (48 hours to a month) unless you leave your account alone…

SOOO that’s what I intend to do starting yesterday until it’s lifted, hopefully soonish. I WILL continue to post art on here and e6, but for the time being, drow462 is in stasis 😴

Hello from my new, yet old Ipad! Lemme take you on my short but frustrating journey of how I broke my IPad Mini and had to buy a ‘new’ one.

Basically, earlier this month, I unknowingly dropped my trusty tablet on the parking lot of my job. I found it a few minutes later, but in that time, it had unfortunately been ran over, badly cracking the screen. Though by some miracle, it was still somehow usable. Some temporary tape later, I was back drawing again, tho at a somewhat impaired fashion.

It was during that time, that I thought ‘Hey, maybe I could upgrade.’ I had been wanting to get a larger tablet anyways since I felt limited by the 7.9 inch screen the Mini had to offer, but put it off for later.

Fast forward to earlier this week. I dropped it again 🤦🏿‍♂️, and this time, the screen was basically ruined. A mess of static. Great…

So, I took the opportunity to go looking for a new tablet, preferably a new IPad, specifically because I really like Procreate. The regular version wouldn’t do bc I needed the space. Pro was out of the question, and the most affordable ones were very old ‘renewed’ versions w/ sketchy battery life. Air was a very promising candidate. Same specs basically, yet a bigger screen, but was JUUUUUST outside my budget (aaaaaaaaa).

So, I was back at the Mini. No, not the newest version, but the same generation I already had, 5th. Only this time, it was “renewed”… aka used.

I bit the bullet and purchased it.

So far, so good. Transfer was easy, if a bit long. It functions exactly as the last with no notable defects, and yet… I’m still disappointed that I couldn’t upgrade.

Maybe next time.

(Or maybe if I dropped my apprehension and finally did commissions, I wouldn’t have had this problem lol)

It's been an interesting one for me art wise, and I feel I grew a lot as an artist. I'm honestly a little excited to see how I am by the end of this new year.

I hope to interact more on FA, since I feel kinda guilty about not leaving as many comments and shouts, especially since I gained quite a few followers on here. I'm still shaking off the last bits my old introverted nature, lol. Just know that I appreciate you all.

You read that right. At last, I did something I should’ve waaaaay back when I fully committed to this site and organized each of my OCs into dedicated folders in my gallery so that they’re easy to access! It took a few hours, but it was well worth it.

That’s not all, I also added a bit of “lore” to most their descriptions so they have a bit of backstory! At the time of posting, it’s a bit barebones but I plan on add even more later. Enjoy!

So, I had the bright idea of doing another October challenge on Twitter, I will *attempt* the full month again.

This time, it’s on my nsfw account, so I can stretch my legs a little! Like last time, I have self imposed color limits, so they’re mainly black and white. Also, I’m only using ink brushes for the line art.

I’m curious how I’ll do this time around , since I feel I’ve grown a bit more into this art thing compared to the last time I did it.

I've been posting on my 18+ twitter, but should I keep posting those particular pieces here? I figured since I have a proper place to upload without scaring some ppl off, I kinda slipped here. I originally didn't envision posting that kinda of content here when I made this account, but I guess it, well, happened. 😅

Are there any other places you all might suggest to upload art to? FA is fine, Twitter is okay, but annoying if you only have a small following, and e621's approval process is tedious (& nerve wracking). It's a good place to find art, but uploading feels like a crapshoot.

Just wanna see if anyone else has ideas.
