As you know, I lost my mother to liver cancer in January of this year. This left me and my sister with an inheritance at hands. The process is slow and tedious, but it was put in motion. Now, the thing is, after all said and done, me and sis are going to need to pay a hefty sum for inheritance tax. Yes, it's a thing. Plus notary service fees. That would be at least around 100k. Per person. And the percentage.

So, with my paycheck ain't looking too great (unlike my sister's), I wanted to start taking commissions again to hopefully get some extra, however when I was checking my mail I found a cheerful message from PayPal politely informing me that "F_CK YOU RUSSIAN BOI." Truly, a ray of light in this dark time those big tech companies are.

I will remember that, you know. All Russian artists who got fucked over by PayPal will remember that.

It's been a while since I wrote anything meaningful, wasn't it?.. The last few years left a taste of bile in my mouth. A rather vile taste of bile at that. I just want to scream it all out. But I can't. Just... Can't. For a lot of reasons, really.

Either way... One thing I can say is; my mom has liver cancer. Stage 4. And doctors say she can't go through the second chemotherapy course - in fact, it's a miracle that she survived the first one. Now, I am trying to keep a high hopes for the situation being resolved, but, you know, 'We should start saving up for her funeral' is not something you want to hear from your sister two weeks after new year.

So, yeah... I'm not in the best mental state at the moment. Because, in the end, feeling shit, and bitter, and angry all the time, it just... it eats away at you.




And amidst all that gloom and doom, I am thinking of trying to go back to taking commissions.
Maybe even up the prices a little bit...

Yet those are side thoughts right now. Right now, the light at the end of the tunnel is blaring its horn at me.

So, uh. Here are my goals for next year. So far.

4. Lose some more weight;
5. Eat at most as much junk food as i did this year;

HOW DO I TURN THIS PIECE OF SHIT OFF? Other than dressing in baseball uniform, grabbing an ashley bat, getting help from a cat and three spherical addons and then PURIFYING central microsoft office.

Have you ever seen what it seems like a nice artwork, so you go to check the artist gallery, and it's just full of excessive gore, unnecessary violence and other unpleasant stuff?

You probably won't understand my feelings.

Back in 2014, there were... things happening. The revolution in Ukraine. War in there. Crimea takeover. Sanctions.
Back then, there was hope. Hope that things will be solved quickly. Hope that we will prevail. Hope that people will see the truth. Hope that I will one day will be with my beloved wolfy, Ider.
But it didn't work.
It did not work at all.
The war still on. People still suffer. Borders closed. Sanctions still on, and doesn't seem like they will be lifted anytime soon. The economy spirals out of control, seeing how we barged into unnecessary war. Patriotics (it's like fanatics, but instead of religion it's on patriotism) now draw dismembered maps of Turkey - like around year ago they were drawing dismembered maps of Ukraine. National idea seems to be "Russia is great, everyone else is faggots who must die in nuclear fire". Prices go up, salaries don't. Everyone lives with hope and dream that one day they'll wake up and see US and EU in total chaos because of gays and islamic immigrants. Oh and because they all are deranged incest-lovers and have no morals and standards.
Worst of all? Ider has given up on any idea of serious relationship.

Last two years feel like a really bad dream.
I just want to wake up. Wake up and go visit Ider. With Aldrin. So we could watch Firefly together. Or play some games.
But it's not gonna happen.
Because it's THAT kind of a bad dream.
A bad dream from which you never wake up.

And knowing that things ain't going to get any better fills me with... determination? I don't know. I just feel like i needed to bring this up. It's hard to keep a happy facade when you're genuinely sad.

Went to buy a new display (current one started to flicker badly recently).

Ended up buying new cpu, motherboard, graphic card and display.

But that's probably for the better I guess. Even though "evrything stable, Russia stronk", prices go up, and salary stays the same.

Well, other than software CD being an empty CD-R, and having to fiddle around to make SAI work properly (cursor was veering to the side all the time), i can say i'm quite pleased with purchase - also i gotta say, its cost is half of what similar cintiq (13HD) cost (approx. 427$ vs 909$ here).

Gonna give it a more thoughtful run this week, see how it goes. But yeah, so far i'm pleased.
