What’s good?

I hope you all are washing your hands and trying to stay as healthy as possible! These are very weird times right now, but everyone please do what you can to prevent the spread!

I finally went through all of my notifications and am ordering some more commissions. Getting motivated again to continue writing. I HOPE to get my next chapter out to you all in April. I'm in the process of editing my old chapters. Nothing crazy. Just updating some dialogue to make it read more like how actual conversations would sound and hopefully less cheesy (some of the guys' lines made me cringe on this read through)

Also I'm making the CFA build a bit more. They wont have their first matches in Caesars Palace as that is too grand of a scale for an opening company and they will gradually go to bigger and bigger venues until the final chapters. You'll have to keep up with it to see what that means!

Soooooo, the site has updated since I've been around. Neat! It's gonna take some getting used to. How do you all like it? I've got some near 4000 submissions to go through also, so clearly everyone has been busy around here.

Guys, I apologize for falling off the face of the Earth for a bit. I got super busy with life and really still am, but I'm going to try to make more of an effort to post more content and get a few more commission ideas in the works. Thanks to everyone who has joined by watching me and favorited things recently. I feel I needed a break to get my life organized and to feel reinvigorated to start writing again. I kind of am getting that itch again so hopefully I can touch up what I've written for my next chapter and continue adding to it. I'll continue some of my Throwback Series in the meantime.

That's the gist for anyone that cares. Enough about me. How are you all doing? Well I hope.

My apologies for falling behind in content. It's a busier season and I've kind of gotten into a rut with writing. Partially a block and partially a bit less motivation I suppose. The stuff I had started for Chapter 23 wasn't resonating and I wasn't super happy with just trudging through it. I want to make sure it keeps the quality that those who are following like. I'll get back to it, no worries.

In addition, I've hit double 3s! It was my 33rd birthday last week and probably the most chill birthday I've ever had. A sign of the times I suppose.

Anyway, I will be throwing some more throwback pics in my gallery and then scraps. Hope you enjoy some blasts from the past as I dig into my old commission archives.

Over the next few days, I'm going to upload some old pieces dug up from the archives. They will almost all be scraps if I'm not mistaken. Mostly some early concept work or cheesecakey pinups of some of the characters that I got way back when. I've gone to some of the artists' pages that had done these drawings for me and they have either been removed or were never posted there so it'll be good for them to be seen again. You'll hopefully get to see the evolution of some of the characters and compare their old look to the current. I'm curious to see the response for some!

Took me a while to get through the 22nd chapter, so we will see how long it takes to get this next one out, especially since there are more fights this time around. NY is in for a treat as all of the singles titles will be up for grabs in some intriguing match ups. How do you think things will turn out?

Certainly lots of things happening in my world and hope you all are well. First and foremost I'm in the hospital with my wife as we have welcomed a baby girl to the world. Becoming a parent is an incredible feeling.

The other things revolve around my page here. I've gotten several new commissions completed this week that I will be posting in the next few days. Hey party people. Just a heads up on a couple things. It's been a lot of writing posted as of late but for the more visually inclined, I do have several commission pieces being worked on and should have them up in short order.

As far as writing is concerned, I've been plugging away as much as I can and things may slow down in a bit as me and my wife are expecting our first child at the end of the month. Hey all. Hope 2019 is treating you all well. Check out Chapter 13 of the CFA story if you are enjoying reading the fights and following along with our main characters. Chapter 14 will be a doozy. I'm gonna try to fit all of the fights for that show into the one chapter so we will see how long it ends up being. If I didn't break up chapter 12 into 2 parts it would have been 28 pages! Hopefully I can keep it under that a bit, but I don't know. I'd hate to have to keep doing 2 part chapters but we will see. So I FINALLY got chapter 11 of the CFA story done. The first night of Mr. O's vision has become a reality. Championships were won and things got a little sideways for Liam in his match. It certainly created some tension between 2 old rivals. Find out what happens next when the action shifts to L.A.! Sorry for flooding any of you who are still following me with the reuploads of all of the character profiles, BUT, they are all back now! The finalized roster of Ontavio's invitational stands at 20 fighters (14 male and 6 female). I had to edit a few of them to give them better backstories and reasons for joining a brand new fighting organization. I also changed heights and weights on some to be more in line with the animals they are based on while staying somewhat congruent with the other fighters. I feel like the balance is good enough.

Anyway the main point of this journal is to put the first fights that will appear in Chapter 11 of the CFA story on the board, and if anyone wants, they can choose who they think will win. Mr. O assigned the fights based on how they performed in his invitational and what he thinks will be the best entertainment value. If you'd like to play along with the story, let me know your thoughts on the matchups and how you think they will play out! And if no one plays, that's fine. I'm planning to write anyway The starred matches represent the ones that will be detailed in the story and are crucial to the development of the plot in some way, shape or fashion. Don't think I'd be able to put each fight on there because the chapters are going to be long enough as is and there are plenty more to get through. Hopefully they don't take too terribly long, but I also hope to make them a quality read so I appreciate your patience with me.

Hey people,

Thanks to those that are following. I appreciate all the comments and favs. Helps me stay on top of the story I'm telling. Just wanted to say that and that I made a very slight change to the scene with Siri and Duke in chapter 6 that makes what is going to happen in chapter 10 more plausible. just tying some loose ends together. I'm going thru 9 now and should have it up tomorrow. Only one more chapter after that before I have to start writing new material. Hopefully I can crank out those with regularity.

Also have had some new art posted up. Thanks to all the artists who have brought my characters to light. More stuff on the way hopefully. Appreciate everyone's time. Any Q's or criticism let me know.

3 chapters of the CFA story revision are up and live. I'm liking how it's sounding so far. There were several areas that needed to be cleaned up. Seems I didn't do a ton of proofreading initially, so this has helped me edit the mistakes. The characters have changed a bit, too. Thank you to those who have been following along. I've appreciated the favs and comments.

I also uploaded the first profile of a character that will actually be a competitor. Darius comes with some attributes listed that will give some insight into his fighting style and allow anyone following the story to predict how he should perform when the CFA kicks off in later chapters. I wanted to provide an explanation for these listed stats.

Strength - How much damage a fighter can inflict
Speed - How quickly a fighter can attack and maneuver in the ring
Skill - The technical ability of a fighter
Heart - Ability of a fighter to make a comeback or keep fighting with lower odds of winning
Charisma - Ability of a fighter to get the crowd fired up and how much the crowd influences their performance
Durability - How much damage a fighter can sustain

Ratings are up to 5 stars
1- Poor
2- Mediocre
3- Average
4 - Good
5 - Excellent

There ya have it. So hopefully this will make more sense as more characters are added. I'm having fun updating my old writing, attaching the old commissioned work as I go along and getting new artwork for my characters. Thanks for following.

I've been spending the last few days re-editing the first chapter of my story and it is back live again. Hopefully new and improved but really not a whole lot changed from this one. It took me 5 submissions to get all of the weird symbols out of the uploads that had transferred into my txt file from my doc file. So now it should look like a legible submission.

The plan along the way is to reintroduce the character files of major players in the story as they appear. Expect to see some art posts accompany each chapter at some point. The opening character pics will be added hopefully tomorrow so there will be a visual of who was just posted about. I hope it will be entertaining to follow along

I see I still have some followers on here. Dont know if anyone is out there that paid much attention to me before, so I'm gonna reintroduce myself real fast.

Name's Chris aka dub-c or dub for even shorter. The last thing I had favorited before today was from 6 years ago. I imagine that's the last time I logged in here. Lots of things were going on in my life around that time and even more has transpired since. Back then, I was finishing a doctorate degree, so my free time was short. On top of that I was embarking on a relationship with the woman who has gone on to become my wife. And generally, I was just working on figuring myself out.

I'm not a "furry" but I had joined this community way back when because I enjoyed anthro characters and loved the artwork people put out. It was fun talking with the few I interacted with and I even joined  buckhopper in helping establish his FBA furry basketball project that to my understanding is now defunct. Again, had fun with it but as I was going on with other aspects of my life, I started feeling less dedicated to the community here. I felt like I had little in common with most and I completely drifted out from this space.

I want to apologize for disappearing without saying much and neglecting any messages I had received. I deleted all of my writing and commissioned pics because I didn't want them just sitting online for people to copy. I'm debating putting it all back.

Actually, I'm interested in starting things up again as a whole. Part of my joining here was to show some of the characters I had imagined and the sports entertainment world they inhabited. Last week I found some old songs and art files that reminded me of the CFA. The Championship Fighting Association story I started so many years ago had completely fallen by the wayside but as I looked through those old files, I felt that desire to share it again. I'm thinking of posting some of my character profiles, commissioned artwork and maybe even writing more of the story. I have actually rethought the visuals of some of the characters and I would want to have some of the profiles redone.

I don't even know if I still have photoshop available to recreate some of this stuff but we will see. I'm curious to see where my new found inspiration takes me. I remember how excited I was about some of the storylines I created originally and I ultimately never even made it to the best parts all those years ago. Here's to another try at it. Dont know where it'll end up or if anyone else cares to see, but I want to at least go out on my own accord. If all else fails, I'll be able to see the creativity of the community here and enjoy what you all wish to share with the world too. Cheers to that and much love. See you soon.
