Very busy on Patreon pumping out content every week and I'm pleased to say that my hard work is paying off. Folks are happy with what I'm creating there and I've never had a job that I've enjoyed more! Been getting back into Animal Crossing New Horizons with the Mario update and having a blast finding new ways to update my island. Got back into WoW with the hubby, very casually, not doing any raiding, just exploring the content and collecting pets/mounts. Writing some short stories again which has felt wonderful, I've missed it, and for a long while just wasn't in the right headspace to do so. I feel better than I have for a long time so it seemed like a good moment to write a new journal entry and put it out there.

I only accept commission work from my patrons on Patreon. They are my biggest supporters and take top spot when I determine client priority. It appears highly unlikely that I will be able to offer commission work to non-patrons in the future. Patreon is going quite well for me, and commission requests do not seem to be slowing down at all. Currently I am busy with client illustrations until August at least.

Important note: Just being a patron doesn't guarantee I'll take your commission. It still needs to be on-brand for me, meaning within the realm of stuff we know I like to create. If that's confusing, just look through my gallery here on FA or note me with questions.

Just in case anyone has missed my weekly posts about art streams, I wanted to give them a little more visibility here:
Every Tuesday I stream for at least a few hours.
The time alternates so I can also reach my European homies! One Tuesday the stream will be 11am PST starting, and the next Tuesday will be a 4pm PST starting time.
This coming Tuesday is an 11am day.

For something different this month, let’s try out: Mega May!

I feel like drawing more original Mega Man characters, but hey, why not open it up to all of you too?! I’m going to draw a collection of 8 robot masters by the end of this month, and I think it would be interesting to use some of your ideas!

Respond to this journal within the next week (5/7 - 5/14) with an original robot master name and briefly describe their theme/concept. (ex. Law Man, he’s a police robot who has a gun arm and a badge shield!)

I will pick my favorites and get a pic done by the end of May showcasing the group. If you’ve always had a cool idea for a new MM boss robot, let me know, this might be your chance to see them drawn to life!

Feels like we just started to get a *little settled after our move and now I'm off for 2 weeks to Italy! This is what happens when you marry an insane person, lol. (I mean him, not me! I haven't made a journal in a little while, so I just wanted to let folks know what I'm up to.

About to go pick up our moving truck and start packing up our apartment in San Francisco so we can spend 2 days after that driving up to Oregon to start a new life chapter. I've lived in California, northern and southern for 27 years of my life, and while it's mostly been amazing, it's time for a change. It's too expensive here, especially as I'm now working to be a self-employed artist, plus we have friends and family where we're going. (Not to mention a bigger apartment with an extra bedroom where I can establish my office for less than half of what we pay here!)

Anyway, I've been really stressed with my Patreon launch this month, which ultimately I think went very well, on top of preparing for this interstate move and everything that goes along with that. If it wasn't for my husband, my anxiety would probably be out of control, lol.

So! Definitely feeling unsettled until we are in our new home, but it's manageable, and I am so excited for our new adventure, city, and chance to really focus more fully on my artwork. Have a good one, thx for reading!

I already have the cover and first page to my first ever webcomic posted there! Hi everyone!
I wanted to give an update regarding what I'm up to and the relative lack of new work getting posted. Starting Feb 1st, I will be unveiling my adult-themed Patreon, which will be brand new, featuring new illustrations, w.i.p., and my first ever ongoing webcomic! I want to make sure there's content available at launch of my Patreon account so am busy getting things ready! Don't fret if you are unable to support me there, things will still make their way here and my other online spots down the road. I will be focusing on my Patreon full time and to a lesser extent, commissions. This will be my first attempt in life to work as a full-time, self-employed artist. I'm super nervous but owe it to myself to really give it a try, as creating artwork is what I love doing the most! Thank you in advance for any and all support, and please wish me luck!

Tumblr dying, blah blah blah...
Since it's likely going under as a platform with everyone leaving in droves, I'm wondering about a good site to post my clean (SFW) art? It would seem the obvious choice is Twitter, but I fucking HATE their limited description space. It means I can never post my stories there. :[ So I'm looking for another spot, similar-ish to Tumblr with a robust user base where I can post my artwork AND short stories/chapters. I think maybe Deviantart? Do people still use it? Does it allow for lots of text, etc.? And no worries, I have no plans to leave FA, just need a new place to start posting my clean art too.

Flying to New York tomorrow with the hubby for 5 days to watch Hamilton (finally), enjoy some good cuisine, museums, and celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary together! I’m proud of us and excited to get away for a few days. October’s been a crazy busy month and I haven’t gotten nearly as much art done and posted as I wanted to, but I’m sure November will see a return to more regular posting!
