I was expecting to have heaps of time now to do some drawings because Universe knows I need the money now then ever. So keep an eye out (for those still watching and waiting). At the moment there is just too much going on.

I transfered to a different college and going to be using student loans because I just can't wait any more. I need a career and I want it in something a enjoy: Vet Tech.


This basically means I'll probably drop off the radar again but not like it's major to all you. And yes that sounds childish.

It's a super competitive program to get into so I need to focus and study my butt off. This means no life.

Just wondering.

I'm searching through DA for some Tutorials on how to draw and colour in PS. Mostly colour because that is one thing that I really need help in. I just get so overwhelmed and frustrated when it comes to digital. That's why I do traditional. I know what I want to do but with digital I have to figure out what tools to do what I want to do.

I feel like an old lady trying to figure a smart phone.

So. Any advice? Recommendations?

Since I'm getting back into things (and so is Ari), I decided to clean up and out our office/art room/reptile room. And I'm going to be sending out a few badges and bookmarks to people. If I drew you something and you would like it sent to you, let me know. I have a few people that I am already sending too. I just couldn't locate my laminator.

If no one wants what I drew I'll sell it off. Example: the otter bookmark and maybe the ocelot one too.

I'm just clearing out my things. I found heaps of craft paper for MORE badges and bookmarks and whatnot. If you're interested in something like that send me a note. The money would surely help.

I picked up a sketch book and filled 3 pages with failed faces before I got a few good doodles to use and found an old sketch book with a un-used pose to work on.

I'm trying to get back into things. I miss drawing.

So I guess this means I really should come back from art-bernation. What with the random influx of watches.

LET'S DO THIS!

I got an early unintentional/intentional xmas gift Saturday.

Yes. Another Crested Gecko. I have been wanting him since he was dropped off at this Aquarium/Reptile shop. He came all super skinny and tailless. That was 3 months or so ago. Still a bit skinny but not as bad.

He hardly fires up so he looks a bit plain and ugly but when he does... He looks like he's been drizzled in chocolate the way his stripes darken. I'll try for a photo but I'm a 3rd shifter and the lighting in the house is awful.

Was my birthday last Saturday. No big, just turned 25.

Ari couldn't get his special expensive fancy fish filter (yet) so I was able to get 2 more crested geckos!!! They just had someone drop 4 off but they already had 3 that no one wanted (I grabbed one of those).

What I think I have:

Lavender Flame (very dark)
Orangy-Red Tiger w/ dalmatian spots

And Palaven is now 13-15 grams and might be a boy after all but still unsure. It's a late bloomer. lol

Palaven just hit a growth spurt! I weighed her a few days ago (for the first time) and she was roughly 10 grams but now holy crap. I'm going to weigh her tonight though I'm pretty sure she's more than 10g now.

YAY! I'm excited. I bought a new terrarium/Vivarium a week ago that is much wider. It was a custom made one too! It's so purdy! Pics soon and of Pally.

We're having Easter with just the 2 of us. It's a little different and kind of lonely but oh well. At least it's with Ari.

I sure do have my hands full with our critters!

Friday night around 8pm, Ari's German Electric Blue Rams(fish) laid eggs! We're highly unsure of the outcome since the tank just had a small spout of ich and he was medicating it with 100% natural medication. The ich has cleared but still. It's 8am now and around noon we should have some activity!!

We were going to move them before they hatched but given the tank issues we just wanted to wait and see. We're prepared to remove them once they become frys.

On another note! Tui (Leopard Gecko) is finally doing better. Whether it was the winter weather or not Ari and I did a huge over haul on her tank. Black sand, dual red heat bulbs (Tank couldn't get above 70F) and I JUST added a humid tub. She LOVES that thing. She was starting to shed, crawled in and rubbed all up in side of it. Now she own't come out.

For a while she wouldn't eat all winter but now she's eating mealworms. Around 10 every couple of days. She wouldn't eat or even attempt crickets until last Sunday when I threw 2 of Palaven's crickets in. They were too small for Tui to catch so hopefully 2 medium ones will work.


As for the crestie, HER name is Palaven. I'm jumping the gun on gender because it's going on 5-6 months and no bulge. I'm pretty confident she is female but I'll cling to the fence just for now.

Well, 1 for now because they're only 4 months old and too young to sex. Just one for now.
I'm excited.
I loveloveLOVE the people at this specialty fish/reptile shop. The employees are all students at the big university in town, studying some form of aquatic/herp degree. It's awesome. Me and the rep girl talked for HOURS. I want to eat her brain and I'm pretty sure Ari annoys the piss out of the fish girls with his neverendingquestions. The baby frilled lizard is beautiful and so cute and the baby pictus geckos were so damn tiny.
UGH I love it there!

I got a call from my mom (freaking out) that BoBo, her cat, got hurt and it looks like guts.

He has a slash from back of his right hip straight down to the edge of his tummy. It follows the curve of his hind leg. It looks similar to skinning an animal with fur and flesh ripped and a whole lot of openness. No guts just very pink and a little blood. Found a vet that was nice enough to take him in, they called in another vet to stitch him up. They said it doesn't look like a car or animal so he either was caught in/on something or a person did this. We don't know, won't know I suppose but at least he's okay now. He has been an indoor/mostly outdoor cat for 8-9 years and this is his only injury. Pretty proud of him.

Ari and I have been making fun of the whole thing. Loads of gigglefitting and the like. His parents don't know and won't know about it until we plan a real wedding date. My family does know and are highly stoked. :) It just feels so weiiiiiird. We both agree that we feel way too young to be throwing the wife and husband word around but we feel so old that we're able too. If that makes sense.
