I want to make this patreon announcement and also an update of what’s going to happen to my channel for this busy month. Link in the description for details.
Reason for Patreon – I want to bring back my old first webcomic from a long 4 year hiatus in a big way since someone on old webcomic host site, Petite Symphony suggested it during it. Getting the best equipment *1tb ubs hard drive * for both my web comics, making more short videos, animatics, and speedpaints on my growing youtube channel.
Year of the Cow Webcomic – This was my very first webcomic that I ever made since 2009 during my senior year of high school. I’ll explain how that came to be in a future video. There are two versions of my webcomic that is available to check it out and see, my Smackjeeves version (on my deviantart page) and the Petite Symphony version in my Dropbox. Links for both down below.
Upcoming Youtube Video Content – Ever since I made the Splatoon Spongebob Splatfest video with positive feedback, I was able to make more short videos with content with a few speedpaint videos and animatics. There’s going to be an upcoming video for November 18th at midnight while you guys are in line buying Pokemon Sun and Moon. It’ll be a short animatic video btw. There's going to be a character design tutorial video series that I want to make since the PPG reboot came out and everyone's so tired of it that I want to make something else instead.
•Anime OP/END Parody Animatics – Unlike the normal animatic videos that I make, these are going to be parodies of fanvids mixing and matching one show with another’s theme song depending how long it’s going to take.

•Topic/Top 10 videos - There's going to be topic videos and top 10 videos specifically about animation and possibly anime. First impressions of old and new anime or cartoons to watch, including shorts and pilots.
•Visual Break Down Analysis Videos – Inspired from Digibro’s Kill La Kill visual breakdown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZYUEw6y_hk
and Mother’s Basement. These are going to be hard post due to copyright since it’s going to be an analysis on certain scenes from Steven Universe, Gumball, or other shows I’ve watched, but just in case if that’s going to happen. Streaming – There’s a good chance I will have a stream on Picarto on a Saturday every week for me drawing YotC concept, making animatics and fan edits. I might change the schedule if there’s a better time to do it.
Social Media - I mostly use twitter to chat with other artists and webcomic creators of how they're progressing and posting drawings and stuff. Tumblr is my main blog for reblogging helpful tutorials that I need and other things as references and inspirations, and posting and improving my work there.I have my own instagram to post my process of my art, short fan edits, and WIPs. Deviantart, I'll have to post more of my work a lot since there's so many groups to join and post it on.

I'm back from MegaCon!!!

MegaCon 2014 Update

After I got the only con bracelet, I went down to the dealers room to find One Piece Movie 6, but I did end up finding even more unexpectingly better: One Piece Strong World on DVD.
It was my first time being all by myself going anywhere around the convention while my brother cosplays with his friends outside of the convention, since he already bought the ticket for me in advanced.
At first I was afraid of going alone in the con, but after I stumble upon a good friend of mine, I wasn't afraid anymore.
Before we went to Orlando, we went to this walmart which I discovered that it sells a dipping pen set of nibs and a seperate ink bottle, and Primscolor pen set with a variety of sizes.
Also, while looking for artbooks, that Avatar artbook that is my holy grail for inspiration teasing me.
After the dealer's room is closed and met
fredgdperry with that awesome exercise tip by sketching Mui in my sketchbook and me drawing his brittney digger on a tiny sketch card quickly with pencil and sharpie, then gave him my business card an exchange for his but it didin't fit my business card wallet and gave me his magnet business card instead.

He told me he did the no erase exercise while drawing her with a pencil. He told me my art style is cute and bubbly for any genre except sci fi. I never touch the machinery before.
I even saw the fans of Fred wearing Gold Digger T shirts.
I met another group of friends and one of them cosplays a nice Lil Mac and the other has a boom box that just plays both Punch Out themes old and new. My brother takes me to this hyatt hotel room to visit and went to the bathroom, something totally caught my guard. There's a tv inside the bathroom mirror which comes with a remote that says electric mirror.
Oh yeah, I showed Lil' Mac my Lil Mac Kirby drawing and gave him my business card.
That ends day one of megacon with finally a hotel room to stay in a different hotel.
Day 2: I was expecting my good friend to show up in a Niu cosplay from Kill La Kill, but I found her two friends instead. I took some pictures of the whole lego section from The Lego Movie. While looking for my friend, I had to settle with Phil Lamarr first since I told you that I met him on my first convention.
He was surprised that he remembered me from so long ago and telling him that I loved his work.
I was brave enough to met him unlike my first meeting from ago. I was super shy when I first met him and it was a terrible experience for my first con.
I felt I dealt my personal darkness inside me that was haunting me for 7 years. Just like the episode of Samurai Jack dealing with his dark infection from Aku. Speaking of Aku, I saw an Aku cosplay made out of balloons that comes with a little Samurai Jack balloon in his hands. That guy showed up to Phil and Phil takes a picture of him. It was amazing.
Then I finally met Rob Paulsen and telling him I appreciate his work and podcast. He told me his next one is with Mark Hamill. I was going to give Otakuman a shout out from him for showing me Bravoman, but they got the prices for photo and recording for 10 and 20 for signing. Also I'm saving for One Piece Strong World and not enough money.
Then I met Jim Cummings asking me where I've been. Apparently, he been seeing me while meeting Phil and Rob. I told him I appreciate his work and my initials is 'DW' then he did a darkwing impression for me to 'get dangerous' and winked at me. I winked him back. ;3
Finally I met Richard Horvitz and telling him I can't wait to play psychonauts and love him voicing Zim in Invader Zim. He told me I was very sweet to him.
After that I took a break and sketched mewtwo with a sharpie marker learning from Fred's exercise. I showed it to him and told me I'm quite good and then drew Mewtwo in his style starting with the head.
Then I spend the whole saturday night walking around, playing brawl, and in a huge drawing frenzy. Then I played card against humanity with a group until the convention hall closes.
Then I went to that hyatt hotel that my brother was finding me and met lil mac again and gave me his tumblr account and wants to get back drawing with me sometime. Then we traveled to this non existent pool party that was all for nothing, but at least we spend a little visit in a room for baked enchilladas until we came back to our hotel room and slept through the night.
Day 3 (Final Day): I briskly walked to the dealer's room buying One Piece Strong World and whatever I could spend for $5, but ending up buying a signed Gold Digger from Fred himself.
The final art trade we did after a photo was my sharpie drawing of Taro and Mui and his was Taro drawn in my main sketchbook with a sharpie pen.
On the way back home, I heard Richard Horvitz's commercial on the radio twice which totally made my day.
And that was my trip to MegaCon. :3

MEWTWO IN POKEMON THE ORIGIN!!!
Posted 12 years agoOriginally I was going to put this as a comic blog but, my photoshop is having problems being unresponsive that I have to put it in as a journal. I tried SAI, but I put too much stuff that it extended up to over 30 inches. @__@;
Someone please teach me how to make a short comic blog.
First here's a recap of what I've went through these passed 9 months:

There's no explaination about the form and her backstory at all! >(
Also she and the original are completely different!
This is a bigger disappointment than Legend of Korra Season 1.
Though the action and animation are decent.
Mega Evolution:
Not sure about it, but WHY didn't you add THIS to the epilogue, writers?!

Oh thank goodness! The rumours are true!
Open opportunity for Pokemon Adventure writers, future good writers, and
SSB4 but NOT for the movie 16 writers.

Pokemon The Origins are having Mewtwo in the special.
Not the one from the first movie that we know and love in the first place.
Not the one from the Genesect Movie. (Mega form doesn't count.)
The one from the Cerulean Cave aka. Unknown Dungeon in the games that
we all grew up and trying to catch it.
I didn't expect this to happen in this special. I'm so glad they got him from
the games. After all my disappointment with the 16th movie and epilogue.

I thought it's going to finish after Red beats the Elite Four and Green and
that's it.
But nope, they're bringing Mewtwo for the two hour special.
I'm even more excited with Pokemon The Origin BIG TIME.
What's even more awesome is that they brought back Mewtwo's old anime
art style from the first movie if you compare it to this and Mewtwo Returns.
I'm hoping this climatic battle gets really intense and awesome with it's nice
animation.
There better not be super anti-climatic for this epic battle like this thing.

messed up on.

NOTE:Have you guys ever thought what would happen if the Pokemon
writers DID brought back old Mewtwo with the Mega Mewtwo X form, but
executed poorly and underwhelming like how Shetwo does because they
don't have their head writer (Takeshi Shudo) anymore and the bad, inconsistent writing in
Best Wishes? Think about it.

Year of the Cow HIATUS UPDATE 2!!!

Hey guys, it's been a while since the last update.
It's already been a year since the hiatus of the comic.
The good news is that the very first arc of Year of the Cow that Steve and
I worked on has already been summarized and planned last March. We're
still continuing the first story arc.
The bad news is that I have to go through making every concept arts for
the characters, clothing, props, environments/backgrounds, and maps
that'll take me even longer to get it what I wanted and preparation for
releasing the comic.
The problem is, whenever I tried so hardly on focusing making those
concept arts but didn't complete one everyday, I'll end up not finishing it
and do something else or suffer an art block.
Luckly, I've found something on tumblr to use my time management
and the do-to lists more effectively each day.
Including sleeping.

Speaking of which, last month, I showed a video game culture
community, called GAAM (Games Art And Music), that I once knew in my
local town my sketchbooks. They love it so much that I was instantly
invited to be on their next event which I already went to with my
entered Super Smash Bros. colored pencil piece. I had a very good time at
the event meeting new people and reuniting my old friends that I
haven't seen them in a long time sharing my sketchbook works to them.
And most of all, having fun playing Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl
with them.

wanted to buy my Super Smash Bros. color pencil piece which I'll have to
talk to him this week. ^^

to do one, I hope.^^
I might make a comic on that Zen mewtwo sketch I did several times in

How this work is that you have to bring a reference of your OC's and a wav. file of whatever musical, movie, tv, cartoon, anime series, commercials,and SNL skit that I might know, have to be no longer than a minute or something that could fit in somewhere and I'll post it on my youtube channel.

(Even though I've seen NChick's review of it nailing the coffin on adaptions to children's book especially Dr. Seuss's, and before that I was skeptical about the Once-ler's popularity on tumblr and wanted to see it, but I think it could have been worse if they added gross humor. But in my rank, it's
above outside both The Grinch and The Cat the Hat territory and below Horton hears a Who. And BTW, Illuminations are taking on The Cat in the Hat again, I kid you not. I STILL LOVE HOW THEY DO ANIMATICS with songs that haven't been used in the final film.)

Oh one thing, about the comic. There's going to be a redesign of the first 6 six page exclusively on Petite Symphony for a brand new start. Can't wait to remake them. :3

Oh, and MegaCon was great! I sold 20 bookmarks on Saturday and Sunday in a cost of $1. I even get my Robot Chicken bookmark signed by Matt Senriech and given two of my Robot Chicken bookmarks for Matt and Seth. Of course I met Vic Mignogna, he remembers my brother from EXPCon twice. He autograph my bro's Bangzoom dvd on voice acting and takes my bro's voiceover speech demo cd. My bro told him that the CD cover was made by me and Vic said "it was beautiful". :3
I was hoping to meet him again at EXPCon this year and a neat goal to get my self-made bookmarks to be signed by any celebrity voice actor, actor, producer, etc and be given an extra for them. :3.
What I bought from MegaCon is "Tokyopop's The Rising Stars of Manga" volumes 3, 4 and 5 that cost $5 each. :3 My collection is somewhat complete. :3
And I still have bookmarks and free stickers with me, though. :3

Good News and Bad News Computer Update!
Posted 14 years agoGood News: My bro let's me have the old XP emachine that had never been broken.
Bad News: I have to start all over from scratch. It's going to take a while...
And this is the very last computer to have.
Yes, I'm finally back from the horrible depths of the Norton after uninstall.
So off to download some stuff that I have before. :3
Edit: In case you we're wondering what happened to my old PC, I putted it my bro's room for something....I don't know.

even worse than just a missing BOOTMNG, it's seems likely the motherboard inside my desktop tower cannot talk through the hard drive. That mean YotC page 14 is going to be halted for a while longer until my computer is fixed.
otakuman suggested me to start a sketch commission to cover the fix for my PC
at my local computer repair shop.
We're not when it's started. So I'll tell you when.
Until then, I'm trying to get a job too. :3
