Narratives
Posted 5 months agoSo much stuff happens to us. Constantly, all the time. Existence is one narrative to the next, and we derive as much as we can. Communicating outwards, communicating inwards with our inner selves. Keeping ourselves company in our head while we do endless activities of infinite possible variation.
People tell us stories. We seek out stories on our own. We tell stories, narratives about everything.
Each and every individual person, all of every one of you and each of your self-aware identities, are observers of us. Of the names and ideas of us, like an endless library of us outside of meatspace. Each of you is also a collection of narratives mashed together into our meatbrain for as long as we observe you, remember you.
The connections between each of us begin with awareness. Perception of each other. Any sense will do, even the memory of one. Each of you knows and remembers us in a unique way, and we have connected with all of you in a unique way in return.
We think about these connections a lot.
For some, they are parasocial. For others, they are deeply intimate. Some believe in mystic bonds, we trust in the perceptions of those around us to prove our existence.
This understanding of our narratives, our simultaneous realities existing in so many minds at once, has empowered us. Empowered the decisions we make, the impact we have. We have become and have been more than simply our one singular self.
Balros "You can imagine how big my ego is! Hyperego."
A question we continually ask ourselves is, for what purpose do we intend to say anything we say, do anything we do. Make value judgements on time management, about which and who's other narratives shall we coexist with.
Skilea
Spoiled for choice. Devouring every existence all at once rather than choosing.
Often intentionally ignoring realities we do not desire to exist within. The narratives of other people whom we will be satisfied to forget.
Doing what is in my narrative power to draw perception of me, of us, away from us and never returned to us. Let them forget or never become aware in the first place.
Sometimes, when it is just me, and I close my eyes, and I can still sense things where they are across our mind. Keys on the keyboard. Where each of you are, as you wish to be perceived, and perceiving us as we desire to be seen.
Skilea I think of what claws I have sunk into each of you, to draw you closer to my desires.
There are narratives that are what they are as well as just each of your narratives with us. Our work and coworkers narratives, the narratives of the impact of our work and effort on the experience of existence of other people far outside anyone's ability to perceive us. Family narratives. Friend narratives. Friend group narratives. Maintaining all such narratives takes time and effort and our existence.
But us, across all of your collective existence around us, provides a set of identities we are most comfortable and relaxed in. There's masking, but stack enough masks you can engineer whatever identity you want.
A mask worn often will develop its own story. Narratives in the minds of everyone who perceives that version of us in that moment, making choices and building memory just by existing within perception. Regardless of whether we intended to be perceived or not.
We see the narratives of each of you, across narrative written formats, across your interactions with us and each other. Sometimes we monitor, sometimes we review, sometimes we skim and sometimes we dive in like we had always been there, creating new narratives of us in that moment with whatever topic is on file.
Sometimes those interactions play out as we simulated based on our choice of words. Sometimes we didn't simulate at all and just said words to exist there, with someone else/you in that moment, and not wholly exist wherever we happen to find ourselves. Projecting our identity out into your reality to exist there with you in our mind and in as many others as possible simultaneously.
There are endless consequences of every decision we make. Every word we say. Each emotion we choose to express. Literally making history, and defining reality as anyone could perceive it.
The most impactful consequence that occurs is the development of expectations. A pre-defined future that each individual envisions with any one possible me in it. A desire or a fear, a curiosity or a demand.
Every intent another has is a potential expectation that could be placed upon us, a mask that someone else has made for us. A filter on their mind as to who, what, and for what we could become.
Some identities of ours are entirely specific to one specific routine expectation. The payment of taxes, the maintenance of body and the world around us.
Some of our identities are trapped entirely to one or fewer specific narratives. Others exist to promptly exit us from a few specific observers.
And so many more, infinite endlessly more, of our identities are the possible choices we have before us. Who's private messenger DM do we respond to, which website's notifications to pay attention to. Which email to read. Which sense to listen to. Making endless decisions in endless successions, activating any neurons needed or simply reacting to whatever neurons become active.
EchoenWe can put our mind to creating most any narrative we desire, for any purpose that can be desired.

[For Creators] Your FurAffinity Marketing Plan
Posted 6 months agoHere's what to expect from the eventual moment that FurAffinity uploads will resume. Every other artist, author, and content creators that have been preparing/planning to upload their creations are going to start uploading in a tidal flood.
Uploaded content can be considered competition with your work. This is not a bad thing, but it is a consideration about when, and how, you will be uploading your own creations. To create the desired reactions you're looking to provoke in the consumers of FurAffinity's delicious, corruptive, perverted content.
Oh, for sure, plenty of SFW-only accounts will feel like they're diving into a ball pit of fun, but there will be a much more fevered interest in explicitly pornographic material. If you're watching OUR account, this is likely a filter for which of you even read our journals.
Before you upload anything, we advise that you consider how your content is going to be consumed, and how fulfilling you intend it to be. How well do you understand the slavish, single-minded, oft single-handed pursuit of a pleasure-addicted smutseeker? A Marketing plan can provide for you a profile on the 'stereotypes' and likely behavior of your target audience.
How fulfilling is instant gratification? Is your picture intended to get someone up to the start line, or across the finish?
How do people who's brains are overridden with horny hormones tend to behave? Are they likely to look at just your new uploads, how many viewers will transform into profile-seekers, leading to commission-inquirers, and eventually down to a couple customers?
How often do you receive comments, and are they usually just one-word spooge signifiers or are they detailed reactions that, upon reading, begin to form a parasocial relationship with your work?
These types of questions can all be answered by conducting your own surveys and assessments, even simply recalling your own personal experience. You can make your own FurAffinity Marketing Plan and Customer Profile just by writing any of this down. You don't even need to format it, it's YOUR Marketing Plan to refer to whenever you either learn more or need to remember an answer.
(Some people love templates and so do we. Internet search can find you some free ideas on where/how to actually jot down anything)
Why the fuck are you talking about Marketing Plans you degenerate realityperver
Because how WE intend to use FurAffinity, is to be the first and the fucking BIGGEST to flood FurAffinity with our content. We plan to drown absolutely every category of kink, smut, perversion, corruption, transformation, and deeply pleasurable growth with every type of content. Animations, RP Logs, Pictures, Stories.
So this is our warning to you, competitive content competitors and corruptors across this platform.
You might find YOURSELVES part of OUR profile on how to influence your consumption of OUR content to absolutely maximize our desired outcomes.

If you were to ever take a moment to tell them how they've impacted you, now is that moment.

NOTABLE INCLUSIONS relevant to furries
YouTube, xHamster, WhatsApp, Vimeo, Venmo, Twitter, Twitch, Tinder, Telegram, Skype, Signal, Rule34.xxx, Reddit, Pornhub, PayPal, Myspace, LiveJournal, Linktree, LinkedIn, Instagram, Imgur, GoFundMe, FurAffinity, Facebook, Etsy, e621, Danbooru, Bluesky, and Discord and 4chan.
HOW IT WORKS (speculation)
Journals, public profiles, and General-rated submissions are all publicly accessible by anyone.
Journals may contain information about activities, include links to other profiles, and provide information about connected accounts or people.
Public FA profiles contain information about accounts and other linked profiles, and can provide information that upon further research may identify an individual.
General-rated submissions could be photos and images that might somehow be useful to identify a person or link to a profile or account on another site, or contain comments and replies that provide further information
WHY??
Relationships. Connecting the dots between a person's online activities and identity. They see someone on one site, follow them to every other site they're on, create an entire profile based on everything, and link them to all the other people.
And then it's fed into an AI. That AI then spits out whatever the agency wants, including justification for hunting a person down and arresting them, and then it's hell from there.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
This isn't an FA problem and it's not a technical issue FA can fix. This is an ICE & fascist government problem.
1) Cleanse your profiles of personally identifying information
2) Check your contact information page that links to alllll the other websites and accounts you use, and be sure you know that it's being used to track you
3) Review the list of websites above and scrub personally identifying information, including photos, from there so they can't be fed into an AI that might get used to target you
BlueSky, Twitter / X, Facebook... they might not know who you are on this site, but if you link to other places and post pics of yourself there, then yeah, they know who you are.

Twenty Seven Thousand Dollar Donation [Further Confusion]
Posted 8 months agoThe final numbers are in, and the check has been mailed.
Our fundraising efforts as Charity Lead at Further Confusion in January, and an extremely generous addition from the Further Confusion Board comes to a total of a mindblowing $27,000 donation to the LGBTQ Youth Space of Santa Clara County.
It was so much fun, it was awesome to meet with and hang out with the charity folks, coordinate with them, coordinate with the multitude of other organizations invited to the convention (check the post con report here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/11053741/ ), and to be able to deliver this kind of real, tangible good and benefit to help kids and help the organizations helping kids, it feels really good.
We can't wait to apply our plans and schemes and learnings to BLFC this coming October, and then go even bigger in 2026 for FC.

How to use DEI beyond a buzzword
Posted 8 months agoWe can speak to "actually USING Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion principles into making decision and policy." We work in nonprofit, and specifically we previously worked in workforce development which means helping people get jobs. We were a grant writer, and we were a training & learning management system administrator.
In BOTH of these roles, we made DEI into actual meat-and-potatoes reality that impacted both the organization we were in, the partners we partnered with, several hundred staff at those partners, and several thousand people those staff serve.
DIVERSITY: Diversity meant that the people we served needed to be reflective of the communities they live in. BEFORE US: Programs were disproportionally serving white men, in that white men were most able to receive the services because they had fewer barriers. WHAT WE DID TO INCREASE DIVERSITY: We got data to show the discrepancy between who-needed-the-most-help, who lived in these regions, and what barriers prevented non-white and non-male people from connecting with these services. Used that data in grant-writing to help tailor programs to better serve more types of people, and used that data in training to provide more specific trainings to reflect the actual issues staff/participants were dealing with: Trauma Informed Care and Compassion Fatigue as two examples.
EQUITY: Equity meant that more assistance was needed to help those with barriers to get access to services. BEFORE US: Some of the barriers to financial assistance were disproportionatly difficult for non-white non-men to access. Such as navigating financial services at colleges, attending online classes (guess who can get devices and has internet access?! Guess who DON'T?!), and being limited to using restrictive financial assistance. WHAT WE DID TO INCREASE EQUITY: Retooled and got more funding for a Student-Centered Design program to help colleges provide better financial assistance guidance to students of color and non-English speaking students. Convinced device lending programs to stop lending and just GIVE devices to participants, so they don't have to worry about giving stuff back and also not ruin their relationship with the nonprofit because of having to harass participants to give back laptops and wifi that they desperately fucking need. And convinced grant funders to stop giving a fuck about how stipends were spent - people generally know how best to spend money to reduce their own barriers, they don't need to be limited to just this one grocery store chain and just this one gas station - and then came back and showed them that by letting non-white non-men people spend stipends unrestricted, they reduce their own barriers and are able to persist through programs at rates equitable to white men. (It also had the additional benefit of alleviating nonprofit staff from wasting time and resources chasing down devices and harassing participants, which was ruining relationships by making staff be perceived as 'hall monitors' and enforcers, rather than trusted advisors and assistance providers).
INCLUSION: Inclusion meant to us to incorporate the perspectives and voices of EVERY stakeholder, especially those NOT at the discussion table. BEFORE US: Program staff and participants were RARELY solicited for input or feedback on program design. Conversations would be held high level between leadership and program directors and the grant funders - none of whom usually had much lived experienced in needing to use or provide assistance. WHAT WE DID TO INCREASE INCLUSION: Set up regular, frequent surveys and questions to both program staff implementing programs and for participants in programs, and hosted regular interviews and open office hours to actually fucking talk to and listen program staff about what was actually happening and their ideas on how to do better. Fed that data into the program design, and used that data to justify better training topics. The feedback we got all the time was "Nobody ever asked me before... but I deal with dozens of people who are having difficulty with this issue right now and this one change would really go a long way..." EXAMPLE: Digital Literacy during the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Guess who don't know how to use computers, but are now no longer able to go in-person to the closed brick-and-mortar job centers? Poor non-white non-men. Guess who get asked to teach people internet and computer basics constantly? People serving poor non-white non-men. So we designed curriculum to teach these staff not only the best way to help give that knowledge, but also build awareness of the existing programs out there like North Star Digital Literacy Assessment and all these local/regional device giving organizations such as Goodwill that included Digital Literacy classes as part of their device GIVING programs (which we had helped change from device LENDING earlier :D ).
There was one specific class we took that gave us the language, understanding, and tools needed to do any of this: An online class through Coursera, from Rice University: https://www.coursera.org/learn/defi.....-organizations

Regarding AI Corruptions
Posted 9 months agoRecent events have inspired us to rethink our use of AI to create insane corruption porn, which we have created lots of and shared with some in public places that allow AI art, and with other folks that love the same crazy AI smut slop that we do. That we did.
On one hand, we were actually grateful that some places allowed AI art, because finally we had a place to mass-post the incredibly degenerate sinful slop we created, including both 'stories' and pictures. We had also been organizing many more batches of themed uploads, though we haven't yet gone through the effort to actually post most of them.
On the other, we have recently realized some profound arguments against allowing AI art to co-exist alongside REAL art, art made by humans. It's an ecosystem argument, and an economics argument. FA made the right call banning it, but now we're realizing that there should not be ANYWHERE that allows Ai-generated content to co-exist alongside what real artists and authors create.
Artists depend entirely on attention and commissions. AI art is literally taking both away. By posting their art to a platform, an artist is hopeful that people will see their artwork. The more AI art gets posted, the less of a chance that people's eyeballs will see the real art. That further reduces the chance that those eyeballs belong to someone who will become a commissioner, paying the artist those meager wages they need to live and keep creating.
We're not even going to touch on the plagiarism. That is a settled argument. For sure, there is a part of us that really loves AI art and wants to endlessly goon and fap to it. But, how many commissions have never come to pass because of AI imagegen and textgen got us to cum instead? What kind of future do we want? We'd rather be commissioning real artists and authors than clicking buttons on a plagiarism tool. Oh, we fucking LOVE it and want a LOT of it, CONSTANTLY. But now we're enraged at the idea that thousands of orgasms we've had to AI art and text, means that many fewer actual PEOPLE were corrupted and inspired.
That many fewer commissions. That many fewer RPs.
So, as much as what we ourselves have created with AI, we're seeing it in a new light. Every orgasm we've had to what AI has created, is an orgasm that didn't get a chance to occur because of a real human's real effort. It's that many fewer commissions we've bought because of how inexpensive it was for AI to make it instead.
In light of this, we are going cold turkey and stopping the creation of all all AI-generated everything for any reason.
Give real artists your attention and orgasms. AI might give some utterly unique stuff that no artists is willing to draw, but that's an economics issue. Any artist will draw anything an AI could generate, if you pay them enough. But cheap AI art means nobody will want to fork out that much. Taking money out of the mouth of that one artist that WILL draw it.
And sure, AI is going to just keep getting BETTER, and while it already has made the economics of being an artist HARDER, and may inevitably make the entire porn industry OBSOLETE... why advance that? It's not inevitable. We literally do control the future. By allowing AI art to by physically next to the art of real artists, we are robbing them of views and attention and interest and money. We are pitting AI art against real artists. AI art will win near every time. So why fucking let it play?
We have hundreds of AI RP textgens and AI art pictures. And we believe that every single one of them is a picture, story, or RP we COULD have gotten. And in fact WOULD have gotten, too. The depths of depravity that people are capable of is not in question. It was only a matter of instant gratification and low cost. Banish the idea that you could have not have gotten that thing you wanted if only you had money/time/talent. There's plenty of artists and authors and roleplayers out there who are thirsty for your attention if only someone would stop clicking the porn-me-now button!
It can be anyone's personal choice on whether or not they use AI to make porn for themselves. But it is going to be our choice to not force artists or authors to compete with AI porn. Not here where it's banned, not elsewhere where it's welcomed. Even if it's an insanely weird picture that you "never could have gotten commissioned"; that is actually not true! It's "never could have gotten commissioned for THAT CHEAP". It's an economics argument, not a factual one.
We're not saying that you can't make AI art for yourself, or AI RPs for yourself. The tools are here, and are already and likely going to continue to extinguish the entire porn industry and make being a porn artist / animator economically unfeasible. We're just saying that, wherever WE are, where there ARE porn artists and authors, we're not going to force them to compete with AI.
"Just because it is happening everywhere, doesn't mean we have to let it happen HERE."
At first we were like "AHAHA LOOK AT ALL THIS CORRUPTION WE CAN UNLEASH!"
But now we're like "OH NO THINK OF ALL THE CORRUPTION THAT NEVER HAPPENED!"

How Doing Nothing Can Fight Fascism
Posted 9 months agoWe are contemplating a strategy of resistance, of fighting back, of how anyone, *ANYONE*, can push back against this fascist American regime. And I think we've hit upon it.
**Do Nothing**.
How does it work?
Do nothing that supports anyone in power. Be the least productive cog in capitalism. Work as little as possible. Spend as little as possible; cut off any services you truly don't need (and pirate anything you can). Be one more body in the way; do not move aside, do not comply with orders, don't answer questions.
Don't step aside for those that ask you to. Don't understand the assignment or commands. Don't obey the instructions. Oh, for sure, SAY you will when saying yes will get them to stop paying attention to you, but don't actually do the thing they want you to do. Tell fascists you want to help, you just never learned how, could they please explain it, please explain it again, I don't understand, you're just so much better at fascism than me.
Others may want to burn things down. But you can be brave enough to ignore things to death. MAGA feeds on reaction, so just, don't. Fascists require compliance, so just, don't. If you need a script then just choose what character you're going to be to this chaotic system; and an uninformed, incompetent dolt has proven to be an incredibly effective character at ruining the thoughtfully laid plans of evil.
Sure, there is always something you CAN do, and those of us that can step up and take action, will. But ANYONE can do nothing in ways that stop the trolley from ever getting started. The trolly rails aren't maintained. There's no electricty to power the trolly. Nobody made any rope to tie victims down; and you certainly don't know how to tie a knot, please mr. fascist could you show me how?

FurCon - Charity Lead - Post-Con Report
Posted 9 months agoAbsolutely fuckin phenominal
WE NAILED THIS.
History
Further Confusion has been running since 1999. Every year, they select a 501©(3) nonprofit organization to support and raise funds for that charity. Cool, right?
Yes, but it was never a truly organized thing. The "department" was never a true, real standalone department with a lead, and always passed around to other departments to semi-organize one part or another. This isn't to say it was ineffective; look at how much goddamn money FurCon has managed to raise in the past! https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Further_Confusion
But the actual coordination with the charities and charity events was somewhat haphazard or absent.
Enter, us.
Project Management
Hot off of being the Charity Lead for BLFC (Oct), we were asked to step in as Charity Lead for FC in early November. The former FC Charity Lead, Puppers, unfortunately passed away earlier in 2024 and left behind little infrastructure. We were glad to accept the position because we had many plans, schemes, ideas, and lessons learned from BLFC. As awesome as that con had went, we knew some areas where we could do a better job, and opportunities to coordinate with nonprofits in the area. We'd been brought into BLFC's Charity Lead position too late to get any, ANY organizations other than the main charity involved.
Not this time. For FC, we immediately set to work taking notes, collecting and creating documentation, and reaching out to nonprofits in the Santa Clara county. A convention that has been running for 25 years absolutely has built goodwill with many organizations they'd donated to in the area, but didn't really take full advantage of that good reputation. Never really built a true network of partnerships with them.
We carved out a significant area of "The Zoo" for charities to set up tables and booths and have staff at the convention. We knew that more than 5,000 attendees would show, if not 6,000, and what an intense opportunity for local non-profits to connect with our shared community. LGBTQ organizations, pet shelters, sex education organizations, and the main charity of the year, the LGBTQ Youth Space of Santa Clara County (https://youthspace.org/) all got tables and very public space to interface with attendees, promote their programs, build awareness of their causes, hand out swag, and get to know people both foreign and local.
Not only did we ensure use of this space for the charities, but we also took responsibility for multiple services that provided their specialties in exchange for donations to the main charity. A temporary tattoo parlor, Ephemeral Ink, and a massage specializing in fursuiter massages, giving them a prime spot to do their work and further raise money for charity. For all of them, charities and services alike, we fought like FUCK to ensure they were given free attendance, free PARKING (this was more of a fight than you realize; it is basic fucking etiquette that if you invite an organization to your event that you cover their parking one way or another), and free access to aspects of the con that are under their particular purview. For example, we provided one organization (AACI, a sex health organization) with a booth in a PRIME location in the Night Market, the adult-only and very sexual event at the con. They came (HA) with an enormous amount of safe sex materials and protection, and ran out of everything in less than two hours. Success!
The Big Event
There were multiple events for the charity; an introduction during Opening Ceremonies, a Meet the Charity panel, being a judge at FurCon: Unleashed Talent Show, a speech at Closing Ceremonies - and The Charity Auction.
The premise of the Charity Auction is simple. Donations are collected and then auctioned off to raise funds for the charity. Typically, these donations are about 40 - 50 items from various vendors and artists and raise a couple thousand. But you know us; we must make it bigger.
We more than doubled the number of donations from any previous year. So many items were donated that we literally could not auction off everything. We went to every single dealer in the Dealer's Den, hit up every artist in Artists Alley, and also received donations of props, banners and massive posters from other departments of the con. Over 120 items were donated, including a goddamn beautiful bunny fursuit head and paws, a plush of a Lackadaisy character signed by the creators and cast, fursuit tags with funny numbers (0001, 0069, 0420, 0621, and 1337), and a giant foam coffee cup.
Every item was catalogued into a registry we made. We coordinated with an auctioneer, multiple cashiers (you need 2 or 3 to prevent bottlenecks), the Audio-Visual team, and stage assistants, and planned and executed how the show would go with input from all of them. At BLFC we had made some mistakes and only generated about $3500 from the auction (still a big chunk), but with lessons learned from those mistakes allowed us, with 30 minutes LESS time, to raise nearly $5,000!
And it all ran smooth as fucking butter. Except for some last-minute coordination issues around getting a payment processor and not having a working printer to print the item registry, we worked the auctioneer at a breakneck pace, keeping items flowing up stage and off stage and sold to the winners in mere minutes apiece.
There was still no way to auction off everything and were left with a considerable number of items leftover; things we would have to store and keep for next year. But it occurred to us: the charity is a goddamn youth center. Plushies, clothing, pins, stickers, books, banners, flags, bags, nearly EVERYTHING that any furry vendor/dealer/creator would donate would make a wonderful donation directly to the charity itself. Any child or teen or even troubled young adult that opens a bin and sees all these incredibly high quality pins and stickers, or sees a shirt with an amazing furry design on it that they can take and have and call their own, or opens a furry comic book or sees furry artwork posted on the wall, or gets to hold and snuggle a beautiful rainbow-patterned plush that can comfort them in their difficult times; this can have as much impact, if not more, on their life and wellbeing than a cash donation. The welcoming wholesomeness of the Furry community might reach someone who desperately needs that connection and would never otherwise have become aware that Furry was even a thing.
Charity, Charity. Echoen/Balros/Skilea, how was the actual CON?!
Of the approximately 96 hours of the con, we worked for at least a solid 48 of those hours. Yes, we got enough sleep, and managed to participate in some aspects of the con as just an attendee, but honestly the best moments came while presenting as Charity Lead.
We were asked to be a judge, one of three, at the FC:U variety show, alongside a charity representative and a former contestant. The show itself was amazing with some real talent and incredibly passionate performers, ultimately selecting as a winner someone who happened to also be a con-friend and transformation corruptor Cassidy Civet, who had been competing for a very, very long time but never a first place winner.
Supporting the charity in the Night Market was actually a ton of fun, making sure they had everything they needed from tables and chairs to that premier space, to roaming the Night Market itself and solving minor problems like getting water refills to the water cooler in the Pool Toy Party balloon room. Hanging around the other staff and leads and just absorbing the issues they were dealing with, listening in on the kinds of problems that can happen and how best to solve those, was super interesting. We provided all of our Charity staff volunteers with skip-the-line VIP access to the Night Market, who's entry line was hours long and extended from the hotel back into the convention center itself. Even the auctioneer for the Charity Auction, whom considered themselves ace and told themselves they had no interest in an adult event, went in because of the provided VIP pass and realized they had a great time and a lot of fun. We even gave VIP passes to any charity staff that wanted them, and being able to skip the line was a big deal to several of the charity staff because they were just too busy with their table/booth staffing to go through the rigamarole of the lines.
We did make time for ourselves, for friends and even loved ones that we met at the con. Beautiful people with beautiful hearts. Special shout out to
scarlett_v whom we just HAPPENED to sit next to on the plane from Seattle, HAPPENED to be at the same hotel, and HAPPENED to be on the floor of that hotel!! We spoke deeply on matters of multiversity, corruption, Transformation, and we found how delicious and identical to us as a system they are. Expect more collaborative writing between us.
Also shout out to
pseudofaux for driving a slog to visit us at the con!! And to our Charity assistant
Matsi who won the poker tournament to raise $1500 for charity!!
The food was good. Really good. Expensive, of course, but decadent. But for all the calories we consumed, we burned as much from sheer walking all hours of the day as con staff.
2026
We plan to do this again, absolutely. Better than even this time. Our plans and schemes shall grow. The community connection between con and charities shall grow. The department itself shall grow.
We are a corruptive force for good.

FC 2025 - SEE YOU THERE, CHARITY, + SLUT
Posted 10 months agoEee! We are the 2025 Charity Lead for FC this year, fresh off of BLFC. We're super excited to return to Further Confusion since we were there last in 2019.
As part of leading the charity department, we're supporting several events to build awareness about the nonprofit (The LGBTQ Youth Space) including a Meet the Charity event, and the Charity Auction. We hope it's all a smash hit and raises a ton of funds for this kickass organization.
We ALSO got an... overwhelming number of other organizations to set up tables and booths at the con. We're actually a bit worried we overdid it and there might not be enough space! But connecting the con and attendees to local 501©(3) organizations is just such a good opportunity and really builds the connection in the con's community.
And lastly, we expect to be an absolute slut on our off-hours (and plenty of our on-hours) so if you're at FC and want to get a dose of corruption, aural hypnosis, or just have some fun, let's meet up and be sluts together.

My name is Echoen, Charity Lead and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the annual furry convention Further Confusion (FurCon). Every year since 1999 FurCon selects a 501©(3) charitable organization to receive donations from our event, and for our January 2025 event we would be honored to support The LGBTQ Youth Space program at Caminar.
Typically, FurCon raises between $15-$25k for our chosen charity through a series of events, panels, and fundraising activities at the convention. People from all over the world with a shared interest in the Furry subculture attend Further Confusion at the San Jose Convention Center, and we take the opportunity to raise awareness of community organizations in the San Jose area that serve many of the local attendees of our convention. We recognize YouthSpace's service to our shared lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and allied young adult community members.
If you have not heard of Further Confusion, we would be glad to meet (virtually) with you to introduce our event. Last year, our more than 5,000 attendees generated $23,500 for the Bill Wilson Center, and in 2020 we donated $20,000 to the Billy DeFrank LGBTQ+ Community Center. Please feel free to ask your local community partners about FurCon, and if you choose to attend the convention, we also plan to invite these and other local nonprofits to use our tables and space to build awareness among our attendees.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and the best time for us to discuss further details about the donation we would like to make to YouthSpace. We would ask for your presence at the convention for a few specific events, and any marketing materials you may have for us to build awareness and promote YouthSpace.
Best Regards,
Echoen
