You and I are handcuffed together in the back of a cop car. Using ONLY four words what would you say to me?
Note: if you comment you must copy and paste this to your status so I can comment on yours as well.
Be a good sport and play along. (4-word limit is hard, well not really if you are a friggin' genius!)

[IconMiko_the_neko] is doing a donation drive to help heal kids with the power of video games. It's called Extra Life and Miko is participating to help her hospital. I'll just let her explain a bit with good oil copy and paste from the site linked above.
"I'm on a mission to save kids through video games, and I need your help.
Boston's Children's Hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.
On November 2nd, 2013, I'll be participating in this huge worldwide celebration of the social impact of gamers like me and it's my sincere hope that you'll find it in your heart to support me with a monthly pledge or one-time gift that will go directly to my hospital.
Your donation is tax-deductible and ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids.
Last year, Extra Life raised more than 2 million dollars to save kids, but in 2013 our goals, just like the needs of the kids we serve, are much, much higher.
I can't do this without your help. Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Support This Participant" button on this page.
Kids are our future, let's make sure they have one!"
There you have it. Donate to help the cause or spread the word so others may help, or at least so they'll pass it along.

Posted 12 years agoInteresting day
Posted 12 years agoToday was, as the header said, an interesting day. First off, it was busy as all hell at work which would be odd for a Thursday normally but it was the fourth so yeah. But the real interesting part of my day was when a wild bird decided to try using the door handle to perch on. She didn't bash into the window or anything like that, but she did startle a customer while he was trying to come inside at the same time. He was a little befuddled by what happened and she kept trying to perch on the handle even though she couldn't balance because of the window. So, I decided to open the door and put my hand under her so she could grip my finger instead and then take off without falling to the ground like I knew she would the instant she realized she was being held...only she didn't fly away. She stayed on my finger for the better part of two minutes while I got to get a good look at her. She only flew away after I started walking her to the safer side of the building. Instant I got around the corner and she saw the trees, she flew off.
It's the second time in my life a wild bird has allowed me the honor of holding it in such a manner.
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!!

Posted 12 years agoDouble Rainboom
Posted 12 years agoHas anyone else seen this fan made episode? I thought it would be well known by now but there are several mlp fans that haven't and that I've mentioned it to.
Now, I'm not a huge mlp fan. I just happen to like the show. Mostly because the writing is great, the animation smooth, and there is at least one pony to identify with for pretty much everyone out there (or all of them in my case). So when I stumbled across MLP;FiM Double Rainboom I was was weary at seeing what might be another crappy flash made four minute episode by someone jumping on a bed while trying to draw it out and voiced by chipmunks standing out in the wind. But then I was surprised when I saw the actual length. Nearly a half hour. So surely something that long would no doubt be a half hour of pure death to the eyes that no amount of eye bleach would cure.
Nope.
The people that made the episode took great and loving care in making it. They did such a good job that I kept forgetting it was fan made for the first half. There were things that reminded me that it was fan made (mostly things put in that the actual show would never include) but that didn't detract from how much I enjoyed the show. Even the voice actors they got did a good enough job that I could barely tell the difference from the real voices.
Overall I enjoyed this fan made episode and I highly recommend you go to youtube and watch it for yourself. Even if you're not a brony but still like the show, this one will be worth it if you haven't seen it already!

Skyrim.
Posted 12 years agoI am literally addicted to that game. I didnt even realize it till just a bit ago. I'm hanging out with my friends but I'd rather be playing the game. There is SO much crap to do that I feel daunted at times. Anyone that's played will already know what I'm talking about. i havent even done much of the main storyline besides the greybeard quest getting Fus Ro Dah. I've been doing nothing but side quests because I want to get those out of the way and I'm worried they might not be around if I get too far....but good lord I love it.
Lost another one.
Posted 12 years agoA cat simply named Blacky that has been in my family since 1990 has finally passed away. We had to have her put to sleep due to having a stroke on top of having cancer of the throat and being blind. But she stuck around for a long time. She was at least a year or two old when she broke into our house all those years ago. That's right, I said broke in. She was a stray that somehow managed to get inside the house and kept getting in. Usually in the closet that held the water heater and the cat food. We eventually let her just stay inside and be an indoor/outdoor cat.
She was a good cat.
She was a good cat.
Well...That sucks.

Posted 12 years agoQuestion for roleplayers.
Posted 12 years agoNow before I go on. This is for people that enjoy a story and not just cyber or yiffing...in fact..lets keep those two things out of it completely.
For the rest of you!
Do you enjoy roleplaying in a fantasy setting with Magic and monsters and super science, or do you prefer a realistic one where things work pretty much the same as they do in real life?

Posted 12 years agoWhy people seem to fear being pulled over so much by the police. To me it just...doesn't make any sense. I got pulled over tonight coming home from work. I was speeding. Going about 62 in a 55, well past the normal 3 or 4 miles over they normally let people slide with. Now most people, when they get asked "Do you know why I pulled you over?" usually say no. Well, I'm not sure about you or how most people do it, but everyone I know always says they don't know why they were pulled over. But I don't do that. By the time the officer got to my window, I hand my license and registration ready to go for him. he asked me standard question and instead of saying "[I]no[I/]" I said "[I]Yes Sir. I was listening to the radio and not paying attention to how fast I was going.[I/]" all the while talking to him with a bit of a smile on my face and in a tone that let him know I knew I done goofed and was prepared to take my fine. But he gave me a warning. Out of all the times I've ever been pulled over (about 6 times in all) I have gotten a warning for all of them but two (and that's because they were violations the officer couldn't look past). Otherwise I treated them like normal people doing a job they were paid to do. I didn't get nervous. I did have that slight sinking feeling because I was being pulled over but otherwise that's it.
That's pretty much my experience with officers. It's just a normal interaction with another person just like you.
Oh, a side note, it's also very funny to me to see the passenger in a car getting freaked out about the driver being pulled over. Like he'll get a ticket too just for being in the car. or being the passenger and watching them make a fool out of themselves by either trying to (Male) haggle or tough guy their way into not getting a ticket or (female) Trying to use sex appeal to talk their way out of one. It makes me crack up every time and one time they asked me to step out of the car to ask me if I was on drugs or something. But they quickly stopped that line of questioning when I told them it was my friend the driver that I was laughing at.
Any-who...I think that's enough rambling on for tonight. Have a wonderful time!

the last month...
Posted 12 years agoHasn't been good to nearly anyone I know. For some odd reason, bad things keep happening to them. My mother last week had a kidney stone problem that thankfully corrected itself pretty quickly, unlike one friend who had that problem about a month ago that lasted for nearly 2 months. My friend visiting went home 4 days ago only to find out he'd been robbed. Another friend found out she's going to be jobless by april. My sister is helping out family that got T-boned on the highway. Someone else i know is now needing surgery for pain in her back. Plus a whole cluster F*** of smaller things going on. a couple of them compounding on some people just making life suck for them. But the worst part about all of it for me is how useless I feel. I litterally cant say or do anything that might help them out of the funk they currently reside. so i guess i should consider myself lucky to not be having any problems right now. still, I'll do that praying thing...it might help yeah?
It's interesting...
Posted 12 years agoThat i rarely, if ever, go out and purposefuly expose myself to any sort of quality experience. Don't get me wrong, I go out and do things all the time. I've been to lasor tag, mini golf, batting cages. Been to movies or the bar to hanging out with my friends. But i don't go to enough performances of the arts. To sit down and watch a live performance of actors doing a stage show. The last time I went to one was CATS and that was about seven years ago and was done in an open outside theater. So tonight I get to immerse myself in something like that again. I think I'm going to like this one because it's a musical comedy called "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and one thing i like is making fun of the workplace.
Truth be told I don't know why I felt like sharing this...but I kinda just wanted an excuse to make a new journal ^_^
