Posted 12 years agoOpening the spring queue, I still have my current queue so the spring one one be started right away but I want to keep everything rolling and have materials ordered ahead of time
To get in the queue a 30% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit must be made. this goes into supplies for the suit and is spent very quickly so that production can start. if you back out you will not get this back, you will only get anything over the 30% after your suit is sold off in auction. (it will be altered so that im not selling your character)
When getting a quote, please tell me which parts you want (head, hands,feet, tail, fullsuit?) and for glove and feet how far up the arms and legs.

I will need a link to you ref sheet or if its natural animal, links to the color variations you like (the more pictures the better).

Posted 12 years agoSince im mostly moved into the new studio and finishing up my last queue, how bout we get some costume orders going since supplies will take a bit to arrive :) Now im hoping this next queue will finish quite a bit faster then the last one, but If you need you suit by a certain date you need to let me know. No suits guaranteed for Halloween dates, thats when im busy with the haunt I work at. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry for the lack of updates
Posted 12 years ago Soooo, been super busy since my last journal. Worked at Garner holt productions for few months on the Knotts Berry Farm Log Ride Renovation on the animal figures http://micechat.com/30666-knotts-be.....-ride-reopens/ .
After that I started catching up on commissions, while also going to a bunch of cons to promote myself and the costuming guild im a part of with my friends https://www.facebook.com/FigmentFoundry. I went to Wondercon, Monsterpalooza,A zombie walk, Anime expo, Labyrinth of Jareth, and Comic Con. We will next be at http://scarela.com/ giving one of the classes on casting and molding techniques
We just got a workshop building together, so I will be moving shop over there. Hopefully with the new shop I will be able to have things organized enough to make suits more efficiently, and run livestreams for you guys. Some updates about commissions and my schedule
Posted 13 years agoSo got lots of little updates to throw out there.
Further Confusion was great! Got to hang out with Monoyasha and CanineHybrid (and we geeked out over heaven on earth http://www.techshop.ws/ hnnnnnnnnnnnng so many shiny tools). Cant wait till next year, Ive actually started working on a Fursona so maybe she will be a suit by next year :)
My current queue will be finishing up soon so i will be able to open. However, it might be a very small group or a group that doesn't mind a bit of a long wait. I just started classes again and that's Mondays and Wednesdays from 7am to 10 pm (YIKES!) and then I just got rehired at Garner Holt Productions and all the other weekdays i will working a 8-5 job. So that pretty much leaves me with weekends to do suits. In case your wondering why Im not just staying full on suits, http://www.garnerholt.com/ because AWESOME. Its one of those jobs you dream about as a kid XD. I will probably be getting my boyfriend to help me with suits on the weekends, so how many suits I can take on will depend on how good a system we get going.
If you are thinking you want to be in the next queue, you can increase you chance of getting in by having a ref sheet/ ref pictures ready to show and be ready to pay the deposit (30% of the final cost). But please don't email me about quotes until i post an open sign.

Some updates, New Prices, and Custom Fur Orders
Posted 13 years agoSorry for the lack of updates. I have been super super busy. Ive been helping building the haunts and reworking my own costume, while taking a full load of classes and I will be running a manga/anime gallery exhibition at my college (lol cant wait to see how this turns out, somehow its slowly morphing into a mini anime con XD). and then (of course since im busy) Ive caught a cold >.< ARGH. But everyones head is cast and most have their eyes and teeth in.
So after doing some thinking, ive decided that when i next open my queue im raising my prices. While I like keeping my prices relatively low, its just not possible to live off what ive been making :( And i feel a bit more confident about the quality of what im making, so hopefully these new prices seem fair for what i make :) Ive got 30ish costumes experience (not counting all the theater work ive done if we count that...I dont even know. one production i made like...20 bird skull masks)

And now, the part that probably caught you interest. Custom furs, Ive noticed an increasing number of people looking for ways to get new types of furs for suits. Most seem to be looking for MM style natural fox fur. Now im curious as to how many people would really be interested in more colors of that style. cause i found this http://cxtenglong.en.alibaba.com/pr....._faux_fur.html
Now it would take alot more work to get these furs because its importing from china, but if enough people really seem interested in this I might be willing to make the investment into getting us some more types of fur. but I need to know, who wants it and in what color. Cause at first im only gonna be able to get one color. And if i had say blue of that fur, would you rather have that or would you stick with the toony DF fur?

Now it would take alot more work to get these furs because its importing from china, but if enough people really seem interested in this I might be willing to make the investment into getting us some more types of fur. but I need to know, who wants it and in what color. Cause at first im only gonna be able to get one color. And if i had say blue of that fur, would you rather have that or would you stick with the toony DF fur?

Im starting college classes again, and its Haunt season so this queue completion will probably move rather slow unfortunately, so no Halloween guarantees. Sorry (but theres a good chance most will be done in time for Christmas for all you wanting to spread furry holiday cheer :D
Heads are starting at 400
Partials will range:650-850
Full suits: 900-1300
If ordering a partial, let me know which parts you would like and how long. (such as how far up the arms or legs).
Reference are required unless its an artistic license costume or species vague(ex: I want a realistic tiger/wolf etc.)
prices vary depending on complexity, number of fur colors, and other things such as horns and manes.
A 30% deposit is required for a place in the queue, this is non-refundable because as soon as the queue is full im using the deposit to order materials. If you are ordering a full suit, after getting into the queue, you have 3 weeks to send your dtd, otherwise you risk being dropped from the queue and losing some or all of your deposit. I use paypal so you can use your paypal account or a credit card.

Posted 13 years ago Once I get to the last (numbered)suit on the list I will be opening up for commissions. Im almost done with the GSD Max (probably will be finished in the next few days), and after that is just a tail and ears set.. The Opossum is going to be quite a bit of work because it going to have lots of cool zombi features like exposed bone and rotting flesh >=) So while im working on that one I will open the queue so that i can get all the materials ordered for the next queue.

Just moved houses
Posted 13 years agoI just moved houses and am in the middle of getting everything set up at the new place. of course this includes getting the internet set up. I havent had it all week (internet withdrawls). So I apologize for any response delays. On the plus side that means Ive been forced to sit my butt down and crank out some work XD. no youtube kittens to distract me. Also I will be setting up a nice new (organized) workspace. So im curious if anyone would be interested in any live streams or any videos, be it just me sculpting or an actual tutorial.
Im moving through the queue, so i will probably be open again soon. As a note to anyone saving up, my base prices will be going up from 300. Probably up to 400 for a standard head. but thats not for sure yet.

My masks are cast in resin. I will only do realistic style (no toony
eyes). Bright colors are fine, I just prefer realistic face shapes.
If your reference is toony that's fine just know that it will be
interpreted into what that toon would look like realistically. Also keep
in mind I dont just do animals, I also love doing monsters if you are
looking for that.

Full Time Artist YAY =>.<=
Posted 14 years agoSo I quit my food service job, and will now be doing my art full time (aside from school of course). So costume production should hopefully speed up now that most of my time isn't spent elsewhere. Im also going to be in a few art shows in oct, and im working as a design assistant on a play at UofR in sept. So even though im not working a "normal" job, im quite busy. Costuming is now my job, and I love it.
So as cheesy as it might be, Ive got to thank you guys. Because you guys took an interest in my costumes, I can work on my art (and eat things besides cup o noodles) :)
And to anyone wondering why I haven't had any costume updates.....its because two are waiting on horns that i need to make molds of.......and the summer heat literally is melting them in my garage. it be in the triple digits lately. But on Tuesday im going to try and set up in the house to make molds. So hopefully updates, (if not some completed projects) by the end of the week.
BTW...I love Halloween.
