General | Posted 16 years agoHope you all had a great christmas night, and I'd like to thank for all the people who gave me kind shouts related to christmas and my birthday. Unfortunately I couldn't read most of these shouts because I'm totally unable to access internet from home since I needed to move to a new place in Niteroi (a city near to Rio de Janeiro - Brazil) on the beginning of december. Due to the incompetent telecommunication services from here, I'm still waiting my phone number to get trasfered to my new home, as well as my internet connection. And to get things worse, my cellphone doesn't work on this part of town. In other words, for now I'm totally incommunicable. :( (BTW, I'm accessing internet from a friend's computer, but I can only use it for a few minutes). 2009 was a good year for me, but this ending is comming out a total crap.
Anyway, I expect to fix most of these problems until the middle of january, but for now I'd like to give my best wishes for everyone who keep giving me support. Hope you all have a great 2010! ^^

Returning after a hiatus
General | Posted 16 years agoFirst of all, I'd like to thank you all for keep praising my gallery even without updates. ^^
The month of June brought some changes in my current routine. I became way busy during the month because I was admitted by an animation studio to work as a character/concept designer for a tv cartoon series (
jilo is also working on that studio, BTW). At now I have just a few spare hours a day to work on other projects, but I'm still involved with commissions for krillos and 
snistrtaz, and both will take me a lot of time and effort. For that reason I can't estimate a precise date to become available for new commissions.
Meanwhile, there still some finished pics to upload here. I'll post them on the next days. :)

SONIC: A Very Quick History
General | Posted 17 years agoAlthough I like a bit better the 'Mario' franchise, I miss the time when Sega made a lot of noise around the videogame industry with the debut of their mascot Sonic, and then creating an interesting rivalty with Nintendo during the 90's.

General | Posted 17 years agoToday I'd like to tell a little about a legendary brazilian comic series known as "As aventuras do Leão Negro" (The adventures of the Black Lion).
This series is under the barbarian fantasy genre, and the background is a universe of anthropomorphic felines. I'm not sure about the precise year of debut, but it was in the middle of 80's.
The main character is Othan, the remaining son of a fallen family of noble lions. To survive on a wild world, he became a mercenary warrior, a profession which fits perfectly to his violent and crooked behavior. Although he never married, Othan made a bunch of bastard sons around the world, but only assumed one of them to become his inheritor: Kasdhan, a cub from the lioness soldier Tchí, the love of his life.
Created by Cynthia Carvalho (writer) and Ofeliano de Almeida (artist), this series are full of great battles and unexpected situations. Sadly, today it's a bit hard to find any publications containing the comic, even in Brazil.
Some years ago I had an opportunity to make contact (via email) with the artist Ofeliano de Almeida (which abandoned the project due to lack of time). I promised to him a rendition of the Black Lion, but I'm also trying to find a spare time for it. When it's done, I'll post in my FA gallery too. :3

On the last days I got a nasty inflammation known as "whitlow" (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/ask_the.....whitlow.shtml) on the nail groove from my left mid-finger, just on the hand I use for drawing. The damn thing hurts as hell, and in such, I'm unable to draw for a while. :(
I've finished the linework of some commissions before this 'incident', and luckly I'm still sort of able to coloring these pics (slowly, using a mouse). However, for those who were waiting, I needed to send a notification about my current condition.
I 'really' hope to return on the next weeks, but at the moment I'm sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for the patience.
