Just spent about 30 mins trying to catch a loose dog that was wandering through our neighborhood, barking at the top of it's lungs.

It'd move if I got close, but I was able to get closer and closer. I figured I might as well do it because it was 3am, and I was likely the only person who was still awake around here.

So I'd walk towards it, it'd jump back, all the time barking at the top of it's lungs.

Every couple of houses someone would slide open a window or open a door to yell at me, calling me shit and telling me to shut up my damn dog.

Eventually I got sick of this so I just walked it far enough away from my house that I didn't have to hear it, and went home.

Hope it gets home safely, it's the second time this has occurred with the same dog.

I am/was sick the entire time, pretty bad too. I just slept for 20 hours and that's been typical of the last few days.

Missing out on a shit-tonne of money tonight/tomorrow.

Last couple weeks I've been feeling burned out by the constant intoxication, the constant parties.

Yesterday I again felt the familiar pounding bass beat of "party party party party party" in the back of my noggin.

I've also decided to try and get my foxbutt to FC now that I'm feeling it.

Fucking mint boys, lets go on a tear.

For the residents of the doghouse, there has been one slur tossed at each of us over and over again, that being the label of 'eliteist'

I'll explain.

When the house was first formed, Torwin, one of the founders, made it very clear to every fur that they were welcome to come by anytime, for whatever reason.

Having been present (I lived here a couple days a week while homeless at this time), I was privy to watch the never ending parade of different people and parties. More than once, late on a weekday, a large sect of furs would randomly show up and start the party.

For a while, this was good.

We all got to meet a lot different people and have a lot of fun.

But.

This obviously grew trying for the residents of the doghouse.

Myself, a now full rent paying member of this cadre, have started to see things from the other side.

People were sick of the house always being a mess and always having random people over unannounced.

Instead of having open invite parties, we started having just a couple of our close friends over. The people who had previously been welcome to show up anytime felt that they had been slighted. They felt that we were excluding them, individually.

Well, I have to say that when 7 people already live in a place, you don't need terribly many people over to make a party. All of us feel much more comfortable as hosts when we know well the people making themselves at home. It is much less for us to worry about.

It doesn't mean we dislike you, it doesn't mean we don't like your company. It means that we're people.

That said, the party this Saturday is most certainly open invite and I want to see you all there :)

As of 3:50am, November 1st, I am an uncle to an adorable baby girl by the name Mikaela, delivered in good health. My brother's girlfriend is doing well.


As a bonus, there will now be a lack of family pressure on me to reproduce :)

It's funny, I guess, how easily one forgets to be happy...

For me, my reawakening was today triggered by the simple act of a fond roommate stroking my headfur as we watched TV. I've been in a great mood all night since.

It'd been too long since simple affection had been shown to me I suppose, haphazard meaningless show of closeness.

Those who know me very well know what demon I'm fighting right now. The toll what I'm doing is taking on me.

But, for a night, it's all better.

We are throwing a giant GIANT house burning party.
