Posted 18 years agoOkay, I have been hiding my computer problems for a while, so no longer will they be hidden.
1) My old computer that had a hardrive worth a lot of stuff to me works with Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and will not allow mouse or keyboard input so I am not able to gain access through normal means.
2) My new computer that I bought is been reformated to work, and it became squirrely by random viruses and adware programs that are hopefully gone.
3) My current computer had problems shutting down and booting up, so I reformatted the entire thing and now I have no more problems, so it should be fine.
4) My Compaq laptop is giving me a strange boot up message after I put the battery in too hard along with a strange sound other than the normal sounds I heard.
Any suggestions?

ConClave
Posted 18 years agoHey, I just got back from ConClave. It took a long time and a lot of money just to go to the Con and back, but it was worth every cent! It was my first con too, so I'm happy to have gone. I was not able to meet
girtyrin, but I did meet some other interesting people and a fur or two.

Posted 18 years agoThe University year has now started and I'm just starting it again. This year I've got a schedule that has less time that I have to stay on campus (,I stay on campus between classes), but I decided to walk to each of my classes untill cold weather. Hopefully I can get my bike fixed.
4th of July
Posted 18 years agoWell I had some good fireworks this 4th of July. First we had a cookout at 7:00. Fireworks were shot off at the dock of the river and then with my cousin and his friends I went down the river on the boat for more fireworks. The best fireworks were up river now. As we went downstream we heard some karaoke. I was reluctant at first, but I joined in when I heard the songs I knew! First I sang "Material Girl" by Madonna. Then "Hit me with your best shot." It was great since they thought I was a great singer. I sang "Everytime We Touch" on the way back, and one person said I was a karaoke machine. It felt good to be accepted as a person instead of a wierdo.
Chain Journal with a twist!
Posted 18 years agoI saw a chain and commented so I must do one too!
1- I'll answer with something random about you.
2- I'll dare you to try something.
3- I'll say a color I associate with you.
4- I'll tell you something I like about you.
5- I'll tell you something I always remember about you / a first memory about you.
6- I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7- I'll ask you something I always wanted to ask you.
8- If I do this for you, you must put this in your journal.

Varus-argoFA or FU
Posted 18 years agoFurry Unitied is certainly different than Fur Affnity. For one, a mod is very strict about what is posted. Here I am a little more free in a way. FU is a forum, this site is an art site. Anyways FU has turned out to be different that what I expected at first, but now I still believe it is a good forum for furs to check out. Watch out for KittieKyo, she will bite if she has reason!

Here is the head honco of the site too:
lilfuzz
Other news, a member of FU has just been saved from jealously. And work has been a little bad. Someone was annoyed that I told on them, but I was working my but off and they just chatted. I had kept shut for too long about such stuff.

College & Univeristy Standards
Posted 19 years ago(Had to do a freehand journal for class, but it was so good I had to share it here.)
College standards and university standards I found to be different in many ways. In college you're to get class assignments in at the due day without any exceptions. University standards require that there be an extended time for assignments. In college, you have few classes but the credits could rarely be transferred to another college or university. Deadlines are stricter because of less time. However university credits are easier to transfer but have higher standards that must be completed. If you get credits in English at a college, if you transfer to a university, it is about half chance that you can use those credits at the university. Universities are designed to be much harder than students realize, and are surprised by the toughness. College is hard too, but not as tough as a university. Housing is also different. Colleges rarely have dorms, and universities have dorms. But dorms are closed after the term. Some colleges have rooms, but others don’t. In college you are to take basics, when at a university a basic can be broken down into more categories of one type of a basic. Because of different basics, credits are hard to transfer. Despite all this the question would remain: Would you take classes at a college or a university?

College and moving in life
Posted 19 years ago For a short time, I have had sorrrow and regrets about leaving my family and friends. Now I know that I am sad to leave the life and ways that I have grown to live with. Now I must create my own ways of life and find new friends, and someday have my own family. I will never forget my memories, but I will make new ones.
I have finally registered for classes at FSU in the town I'm living in. I met an old school friend during Orientation, but I don't know if we'll cross paths again. I'm finally starting on my way to making something of my life... Work will not be a problem, and if work conflicts with college, then I'll quit or find a way so it is not.

Truth or Dare ETK
Posted 19 years ago Everyone else seems to be doing it. So I might as well do it while I'm still in the mood.

Youth
Posted 19 years ago At 10 we start to develop a sense of fun as innocent youth. In middleschool we expand our minds to the thoughts of friends, family, and sports. In highschool we think about disregarding the sense of childish things. After highschool we are sent off into the big world, to leave the family and friends of a community you grew up in. We learn and go off to complete our dreams for the future and at last find our place in the world.
It is hard for people to go and move on for in the beginning they were attached to family and friends of a community and would never wish it to end, yet we can not stop it. We wish to keep the days of youth, and we finally understand what was said before since we say it now. We will never go back to the days of youth, no matter how much we try, yet from time to time we will do things that make us feel "childish."

Midwest Press
Posted 19 years ago I don't have a job, and I'm tired of doing nothing productive. I'm going to help out at Midwest Press again (I have a connection there). I might not earn pay, but I have a lot of good reasons to do it.
One: I can use it as a better job reference.
Two: I might learn some more work skills.
Three: I'll feel like I accomplished something.
Four: It gives me something to do.
Five: I might actually earn some new clothes (, Midwest Press is a clothes design shop).
Six: People who nag me about being lazy will stop nagging me.
