I want to give patrons who are sick of waiting a reasonable out - so: offering refund +10%. Read on for the why~

I've really needed to write this journal for about a month now.

I have been working a lot of hours at my new "real" job - and yes, it is great and exactly what I'd been hoping for some months now. I couldn't be happier!

For about a year and a half prior to this, I tried to make furry art my main source of income, and I just couldn't hack it. I took on commissions and filled them as best I could, in as timely a manner as I could. I made rent - barely - but it was basically poverty. Then I got my new job - and, though it's the best thing that could've happened to me, it didn't give me any time to clear out my queue of existing patrons.

Basically, at this point, I have very little time to draw, and what time I do have, I spend fulfilling my obligations to my patrons - people who have, in good faith, already paid me for the creation of a picture. I will not whine about my feelings regarding this, other than to say I no longer enjoy drawing and generally dread each time I pick up the Wacom tablet lately. It is my problem, and I need to do something about it, and perhaps this isn't the best thing I could do, but given that I want to act with honor towards myself and my patrons, it is perhaps the best compromise I can make.

I have always stated to my patrons that your piece will be done in a timely manner - and I've pretty much failed at this. It is not as though I've just forgotten about all these obligations - indeed, it weighs heavily on me, greater with each passing day. I feel less and less honorable and responsible, and more and more compelled to set my affairs in order - I want to get right again, clear my queue, and make furry art a fun hobby again. I want to be able to again draw for myself.

Basically, I propose the following offer to each of my patrons to whom I currently owe art (with the exception of akshi_duella, whose piece is very close to being done, and the ORGY #5 participants - I’ll explain below*): I would like to immediately refund all the money you paid me, plus 10% (good faith, interest, what have you. I'd offer more if I could), thereby allowing me to remove your commission from my queue. Else, if you reeeeeally want me to finish your piece, I will still do so, but it needs to be with the understanding that I cannot guarantee when it will be done - might be months from now.

Please understand I don’t feel so good about making this offer - I need to release some of this pressure I am feeling, but these patrons also helped me out with their support when I needed it, and deserve the art I agreed to make for them. I’m pretty conflicted about this, and I don’t expect that everyone’ll be happy with what I’m doing.

This is my public journal, for all to see, but I am going to be (tomorrow) contacting each person on my queue individually to point them here. Course, if you’re a patron reading this, feel free to send me a note on your own too :3

I am not taking on commissions at this time coz I really need to work my queue down to something more manageable, and 10+hrs/day at my contract gig is really sucking up a lot of my time heeeerng. Don't worry - I shall make an announcement when I am ready to take on additional patrons!

SO - in seemingly out-of-the-blue fashion, I'm now under contract doing level design at a local game dev studio. I'm bouncing off the walls and while this is a stunningly positive event, the contract will be up in the first week of August - it's unknown whether this will continue past then. Can only do a good job then wait and see.

This is going to impact my queue - and yes I'm aware that it's been rather slow of late. Please do not despair! I am still working on them and trying to be as productive as I can while lining up this opportunity, putting Fur Pile to bed, and attending to other RL obligations.

I am going to continue plugging away on my commissions during my downtime from my uh 'regular' job. Anyway, just wanted to share this with you, and thank you again for you patience and support!

In my paw I now fondle - even as I type this - a beta copy of Fur Pile, a new card game created by  rolandguiscard,  catwolf, and myself! It is a fun, quick game with easy to learn rules, and lots of hawt hawt exclusive furry artwork.

We've been working on this for a couple months now - designing, drawing, and playtesting - and it's so cool to finally have a 'real' deck. It arrived today, and while there are a few little tweaks that need to be made, it's done and will be available in about 2 weeks for purchase from thegamecrafter.com.

There will be more to talk about when the game is finally made available - but I did want to yap about it briefly here to let you know that we have, in fact, been busy, and I think we're all pretty proud of the result.

Heeeerng so I just wanted to make a quick post to let you guys know how things are going. The move went about as smoothly as I could've hoped, but still took up some time. A plus that came from moving are nice, solid internets with freely flowing tubes, so, I will be streaming more often than before. I will be doing so later today, in fact, so keep yer eyeball pealed for a journal in an hour or so announcing my stream.

I also spent some time tying off this other 'secret' project (which will prolly be officially announced in about a week hopefully - stay tuned - coz it's done, and it's really great!)

Cat's medical issues are also affecting us, however she's getting better and I am optimistic that's she'll recover fully and quickly :3

Though I may not clear my queue out as soon as I'd professed last time, I'm working hard on my commissions and stuff's getting done. I deeply appreciate my patrons' patience!

Overall, we are doing pretty well. This has been a challenging past couple weeks but we're coming through okay and our outlooks are sunny. Cat's queue is pretty full right now, and for that matter, so is mine. However, I am still willing to take on patrons, as long as new patrons are aware that my queue is still a few weeks deep at this point. We are secure for the time being, but, every bit helps! :D

As just about everyone knows - moving sucks. And its expensive! Most of the major stuff is covered - but things are tight.

As I've mentioned in my previous journal, I intend to clear my queue a month from now. This would be an excellent time to get in on a fresh slot, and we'll be able to relax a bit knowing we are able to fulfill our obligations :3

So please let me know if you'd like to get something done! I'm looking for at least 3 patrons right now, but there is no cut off - I'm always open heeeeeerng!

Okay so we've landed at our buddy  scorch's place, where we'll be staying for a while, with our stuff in storage. Actually - we still hafta unload the truck and get settled properly, but the hard part is done.

This is just to let you know that in about a week we are moving into our new place. I don't have a LOT of shit to pack - but the work to do is not trivial. I will therefore not be as productive an artist, however, I will still check in and respond to notes and emails.

I'm gonna take 10 chars for another special orgy pic. I'll draw it at the tier 4+ level (see: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3665928/ - I will be using a higher resolution so everyone will be looking goooood), with 10(+) characters, at a special rate of $22 per character. I'm going to work on this between my regular commissions - regular commissions still have the highest priority! My regular commission rules apply here too.

Please don't send payment until I specifically ask you to in a reply to your comment here! Please do not include anything in the message field of the payment form, other than your FA name , so that I can match up payments with FA user names.

Reply below with interest, only if you're prepared to pay within 24 hours of posting! One person can purchase multiple slots. I will add this to the queue and get started drawing on this when I've got the 10 slots filled and paid for. If I don't fill 10 slots after a week, I'll just use whoever's signed up. If it's just one or two people, then I'll just draw a 'regular' tier 4 commission for them separately (unless they want it together anyways heeerng!).

Also: please reply with links to character references and orientation (straight, gay, bi). I'm going to handle the setting, poses, etc. Do keep in mind that this is something of a crapshoot - depending on how the couplings occur, you might not get just the pose you are hoping for. I do like to mash as many furries together into large groups as I can, but I also try hard to make sure everyone is well represented and having a good time! :D

I am looking for a few people to playtest a beta version of a two-player adult furry card game that I am doing some work for. I am willing to have decks sent out to a few people, provided that in return I get feedback regarding its playability, suggestions for improvement, what you liked, didn't like, and any other feelings you have about your experience. I want you to play it with other adult furries, and, as well as you are able to, document the experience, getting feedback from all participants.

This is 2 player game, but ideally you will be able to play it with a few different people. I'd especially like to see how it goes over at a fur meet.

This is an adult game - and the cards will feature softcore furry porn - however there will be minimal/no artwork on the decks you receive. This playtesting is just to get feedback regarding gameplay.

As a playtester, I need you to be:
Trustworthy - If a deck is sent to you, I need feedback - as much as possible!
Diligent - We have a production schedule to keep and I want this to happen in a week or so.
Communicative - I want you to express your thoughts clearly, concisely, and completely. Good writing skill and grammar are nice too!

Time and money is going to be spent sending out these beta decks - so, just to reiterate, if we send you a deck, we expect feedback.

Feedback is going to be VERY HELPFUL in making this a successful, fun game - and playtesters providing helpful feedback will be listed in the game's credits - and we will be happy to send you a finished copy of the the final game! :3

Yessss - that was a darrrk tiiime. BUT.

I have just accepted a massive slew of freelance work that may very well transition into a full time permanent gig at a local studio, and I am terribly excited about this opportunity coz this is JUST what I want and need right fucking now.

As I mention here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4201187/ if and when work like this comes up, my queue's timeline will be affected. I am not planning on an indefinite postponement: I will make this freelance work my 'full time' job, but I will still be chipping away at my furry art queue during my 'off hours'. So, yes my dear patrons, there will be a delay in your pieces getting done - but they will be done, in as timely a manner as I can manage while still advancing myself down this career path. I sincerely hope that's understandable :3
