Based on the number of concerned notes I got after my sudden disappearance several months ago, I figured I should probably let you all know that, no, I'm not dead. I just... got very busy.


Between still attempting to finish that last bit of schooling I need (because life hates me and something comes up every time I try), taking care of my family, health related issues, getting Patreon up and running, commissions, and working on the eight art/story blogs I run, I just... don't really have time for Kin anymore, and I don't think I will any time in the foreseeable future.

I've also got a bit of a confession to make.

I've never really identified myself much as a baby/diaperfur. I invented the persona and character of Enderkin as a writing exercise, because I needed desperate practice at writing child/baby characters, and I'm a huge method writer. I have a hard time writing a character without getting into said character. I knew from my observations that the baby/diaperfur community were all little at heart, and that it would be the best place to learn. I knew that I'd never get anywhere by attempting to talk to an actual baby/toddler (because if that would work, I'd just ask my kid, but we all know that wouldn't have gotten far), so this was the best option. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought I'd give it a go.

And it turned out that the people I met here were the sweetest, most honest, genuine, accepting, caring and all around amazing people I've ever met. Never in my life have I met a community that was so open and unconditionally accepting as the baby/diaperfur community has been to me. I got to know so many kind people with happy smiles, incredible personalities and warm hearts.
Each and every one of the people I've met here only furthered my belief that you cannot judge someone by their appearance, lifestyle, beliefs or any other superficial things, and must simply look inside to see how wonderful someone can truly be. You've all been so supportive and awesome to me that I can't even put it into words.

After realizing that I was having too hard of a time playing the role of an actual toddler, I decided to turn Kin into a babyfur, so my mature side could shine through a bit. And while I didn't exactly say in strict terms that I myself was a babyfur (at least not to my memory), I also didn't clarify that even the mod's persona was "in character", and so I've been feeling quite a bit of guilt over that. I feel as though I've lied to you all in a way, and for that, I'm so, so sorry. I should have been honest from the start, and if this revelation hurts in any way, I hope that one day I can make it up to you, or you could find it in your heart to forgive me.

That's not to say that Kin hasn't benefited some other part of me aside from the author inside. Because of the time I've spent as Kin, I feel as though I've regained a part of my inner innocence, and gotten back some of my ability to just... enjoy life in the moment, like a child would. I learnt from the people here that sometimes things will be out of your control, and so the only thing you can do is just find the thing that makes you happy and secure, and just embrace that. I've learnt a lot about myself here from all of you, and for that I thank you.




As for what this means for Kinny..

I may occasionally still draw little doodles of her here and there, and maybe even the odd short story, but with how focused I've been on running my blogs alone, particularly one I hope to one day actually make some money off of, I don't think I'll really have much time for her on her own.
However...
I love Kin's design, personality and just... all around species so much that I can't live with the idea of just scrapping her completely, keeping her around only for a character building tool, so I've decided to incorporate her into my other stories as her own individual character. She won't be the main character, but she'll still be pretty prominent and perhaps even the beginning of her own species.


So... if you weren't too hurt/upset/offended by my confession to continue reading this far, thanks for putting up with me and taking the time to read this. Even if the lot of you forgive me, or don't even have a problem with the situation in the first place, I'll likely still feel a pretty hefty amount of guilt for a while, and I can even understand if some of you hate me after this.

I still occasionally pop by to check my messages and different things like that, so if you want to contact me here feel free. I'm usually most active on my many Tumblr accounts, which I can provide if anyone is all that interested. Hi everyone :3
I know I've been gone for a long time, and I just want to start off by apologizing to you all for that. I haven't really been doing very well health-wise, and what little time I have put into my art has been occupied elsewhere.
As you may recall, several months ago, I was diagnosed with more kidney stones, and it turns out, those kidney stones are still there. They've been causing damage to the inside of my kidney, as well as causing crystals to form in my bladder. I've also been suffering from chronic bladder infections and UTIs as a result of the crystals, which I've been heavily medicated for, so I have just not felt well at all.
This Monday I will be undergoing surgery to remove the kidney stones and repair some tissue damage. Hopefully this will solve the problem once and for all, but if past experiences are anything to go by, it's unlikely.
These health problems on top of being a mother to a teething toddler who now walks, school work, running my own Minecraft server, doing some commissions, and dealing with all of the other usual aspects of life have not left me with much time, energy or desire to draw. As for Kinny, she tends to exist in spurts with me. Some months she's around every day, some not at all. With everything going on in my life right now, I have just lot a lot of interest in most of my usual lifestyle, hobbies and pleasures. Most of my free time is spent sleeping off the awful side effects of the medication. I'm hoping once this is all over with and my life settles down, that maybe I can pick her up again, but if that happens, it won't be for a few months.

Today is my son's first birthday! I can't believe this year has gone by so fast... I'll leave it at that so I don't end up ranting for twenty five minutes about how amazing my son is XD I love him more than anything and he is just so irresistibly cute.

Also, I've been feeling a lot better lately, though my kidney stones still haven't passed. Having been feeling better, I'm hoping to get some more artwork pumped out soon. I have been drawing a little, mostly for my pony ask blog ask-chronicle.tumblr.com, but I don't have a lot of energy with the medications I'm on, so the most I can pump out at once are usually a few not very detailed panels.
Once this stone passes I'll be spamming your inboxes with drawings, I promise :3

I was recently diagnosed with kidney stones and cystine crystals in my bladder. Both are somewhat painful, so I haven't really been up to doing a whole lot. The medications I'm on all have unfortunate side effects that almost make it worth having the stones just so I don't have to put up with indigestion, nausea, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, and in the case of my painkillers, being too high to function. Not to mention I'm not allowed to go out in the sun while I'm on this medication. This being beach season, needless today I'm pretty disappointed that I can't go enjoy the nice weather.

I'm hoping to get some drawing done today and answer the rest of the questions in my Tumblr inbox, but I'm making no promises, especially with these medications. Plus my mother is supposed to come visit today to see my little one, so...

Speaking of my little one, he's going to be a year old exactly one week from Monday. I'm having a crisis. I'm excited, but at the same time, I don't want him to grow up. Sigh, the burdens of parenthood.

I have some happy news :D The amazing owner of the server I've been playing on, Obbytown has offered to host KinnyCraft along with his server. I'm so incredibly grateful for his offer that I can't even begin to describe it. While it will be a part of the "Obby Gaming Network" as he's been calling it, it will be a server completely dedicated to furries, and despite being geared toward all of my baby/diaperfur friends here, it will be family friendly and I may allow younger furry players. I haven't quite decided on that aspect yet.
All of our plugins and permissions have been configured, or at least I'm really hoping that they are. All that's left now is building spawn and the starting cities. I'm really hoping to have the server up and running by Monday :D

Since my tablet went and died on me, and I don't have much to do anymore in my spare time until I get it fixed, I've been playing a LOT of Minecraft. And until I get my own server up and running, I've found a server that I absolutely LOVE.

A family friendly SMP server with 24/7 uptime, friendly staff, and many protections in place to defend against stealing and griefing, PvP optional, and a strict absolute 0% tolerance for bullying/harrassment.
Bullying, profanity, griefing, stealing or harrassment are a bannable offenses, so no one has to worry about being targeted for being who they are(though it's not recommended to advertise being a babyfur/diaperfur, as that can be considered not 100% family friendly. Roleplaying as a younger child should be fine though) The majority of the players on the server are quite young, average age between 7 and 15, and quite friendly.
We have factions, world guard, a help ticket system, and staff members online at all times. We also just opened up a minigames server with parkour, paintball, Survival Games (Hunger Games), mob arena, creative world, PVP, Hot Foot, Skyblock, a dunk tank, and many more to come.

I absolutely love this server, and have been spending much of my Minecraft time here. Our general rule of thumb on the server is that if you show respect, you will be shown respect, and it works out very well for us. As a Moderator Plus on Obbytown, I do my very best to make sure that everyone is treated fairly and with kindness when they play on Obbytown. And while this is not a furry dedicated server, we do have several furries who are regular players. Players are not discriminated against on Obbytown for their preferences or lifestyles, as this is the kind of server we want parents to feel comfortable with their children playing on, no matter their age.

So my tablet decided to die on me. Half of the drawing space stopped responding to the pen, and because it's an old tablet, there's really no point in trying to get it fixed (I've had this thing for six years and it wasn't hugely new then). So basically, until I get a new one, don't expect to see much from me :(

I've decided to try my hand at Flash again, after having not touched the program for quite a while. I'm thinking about making a short animation, but the unusual thing is that a male character will need to be used for my idea, rather than my usual Enderkin.

So, my question is this: Which character should I feature?

Vivitsu (Vivi)
A male Enderkin, light blue with orange markings. Enderkin's age, very shy and booksmart, but lacking in worldly skills.

Alister
Enderkin's best friend, a young yaoguai. Confident, protective and loyal. He's sometimes overeager, and has a bit of a temper.

Dien
A somewhat obnoxious, cocky and confident demonchild. Has a soft side, but doesn't show it often.

Kadan
Shy and quiet, genius, magically talented demonchild.

This week, and this week only, all commissions priced $10 and higher are 50% off, on the condition that the funds will be donated to Obbytown (my usual Minecraft server) rather than myself. I love this server and we're undertaking quite a big project for it (building an entire minigames map, with a wipeout course, last man standing, hunger games, parkour, pvp arenas and more) as well as the main survival server, but when it comes to funds for the server, donations are sometimes a little lacking.

For anyone who is still interested in the babyfur Minecraft server, I’m still working on it and getting it all set up. Configuring the plugins is proving to be a lot of work, but it’ll be worth it when I’m all done. Once the basic plugins are configured, I’ll be working on the webpage, and then hiring staff. There will be a staff application form on the website so when I post the link, stay tuned :)

If I can get enough people interested, I'd like to open a hosted Minecraft server. It will be babyfurs/diaperfurs only so everyone can be themselves. I won't bother opening one if I can't get a few dedicated players though because paying for a server no one will play on seems redundant :P Anyone interested?

To all of my babyfur/diaperfur friends.. I was thinking today and got a bit curious.


How many of you actually live out your babyfur/diaperfur side in real life? Obviously it's not as eeasy for some as it is for others (what with family, jobs, etc etc)

No one is judging here, be honest :) I'm just curious.

I've noticed that I have a tendency to rant about things that I am passionate about or that annoy me. (See my journal "Just a little rant here" for example)

A few friends on Facebook and elsewhere have told me that they enjoy them, and that I should start a vlog, but I am greatly uncomfortable in front of a camera so it's not likely to happen.. However I've given some thought to starting a written blog simply for my rants and speeches. If I were to do so, would anyone be interested? Just a thought.

(The topics are usually pretty relevant, and while controversial at times, i.e religion, I'd like to think I examine both sides before ranting)

Well, we're all moved in (mostly) to the new place now. It as a tiring two days--I don't even know where we got so much crap--but we finally got all our stuff aside from some larger furniture over here. We have to back for the other stuff tomorrow since our mover had to leave on us before we were done.
But on this end, the place is actually starting to look like a real apartment now, and not like a dump, so that's a plus I spose.
Hoping to get everything finished today, as we have people coming to visit for the first time and also it's my BFF's dad's birthday today, and I need to go bug him cause he's old XD



Just thought I'd update everyone and let you know that my art will be returning by the end of the week! (I hope)

Today is moving day! I am so tired of packing and cleaning. Now I get to unpack and clean. Oh joy.
