As some of you may know, the end of the semester is upon those of us in college, which means winter break! I have my final on the 10th so I will be opening shortly after I am done. In the meantime I won't be able to do much art.
on a side note, I've come to understand that doing first come first serve with this style of opening doesn't allow a lot of different ppl to get a chance to get a commission, but since I recently changed how I take commissions I'm going to wait a bit before trying to figure out something better. We'll see how everything goes.
Also, depending on how motivated I end up being and how quickly I can get through my slots I may try to open multiple times this month!

Ok so i need a break from doing my October prompts 24/7 so I'm going to open 2-3 slots for spookify me :]

so "spookify me" is going to be a spooky specific commission type will be like a pay what you want type commission but I'll let y'all know what the base prices are around so you'll have an idea of what you may get. I wanna keep this as more of a 1 character thing so more than 1 character is off limits atm. Since it's also not garuntee that it will be exactly what you want, the price range of how complex I do will be less than my standard comms (cuz i want artistic freedom :] ).

Spookify me can be either a selection of random concepts u want or a general idea. For example, if you get a slot you can give a general thing like: "*insert your oc of choice*, blood, shadow, crystals, deranged" and I will draw based off of the prompts you give me. If you would like a specific thing similar to what I have done with already existing prompts you can also request to have your spookify me to be one of the prompts from the already existing list! you can also mix and match or choose a specific prompt and add extra things you would like to see in your comm. IF YOU DO NOT WANT BLOOD IN YOUR SPOOKIFY ME TELL ME BECAUSE I WILL DEFAULT TO ADDING BLOOD!

Gore/Spooktober 2021 + general update
Posted 4 years agoheyo! just gonna give a general update + some things to come in and around October!
So classes have started and I've been pretty swamped with work which is why I haven't really been able to find time to draw/post art and open some comms.. I'm hoping to maybe be able to in the coming months and for October I was thinking of doing some "spookify me" comms where the client pays a flat price and maybe gives a few ideas they had (if they wanted to) and I have artistic freedom to create monsters out of your ocs or whatever :> (this is just an idea, if I end up not having time I might have to skip this :/ I hope I will have time).
Along with that idea I'm definitely going to do Gore/Spooktober again this year! hopefully I will be able to keep up with it longer than last year. I had gotten through about half the month before I fell behind and got burnt out so hopefully this will go better :V
Also, I've made my list (
Gabsarts and I collabed on this one and we'll be trying to follow along it together. The lists aren't exactly the same since we both have some prompts we want to do but for the most part its pretty much the same so if y'all were interested make sure to check out her list as well!)
Also, before I end this and forget to mention it, I do plan on opening sometime around Christmas! I'm not sure whether I want to do random openings or a set time and day yet. Maybe I'll do both depending on how I feel because I do really want to give everyone a fair chance at getting a slot and I know for some people, having a set time and day can be very hard if you're in a different timezone, have work that day, are sleep cuz major timezone differences, etc. so maybe a chance at a random opening would help with that?? who knows :,> hopefully this all goes smoothly <3

regarding getting a comm with a deadline
Posted 4 years agoso I just realized I put nowhere in my tos that covers comms with deadlines. SO I am totally open to doing them and you don't really need to wait for me to open if you'd like to discuss them with me. Like if your friend is having a birthday or something or you want to get a surprise Christmas gift, that sort of stuff. I'm open to discussing it and depending on whether I have the time, I may accept regardless of having to wait for a slot opening. I've done it in the past and I don't mind as long as I have at least a month in advance. This is so I absolutely know I will have the time to finish it on time.
I may have to limit if someone is repetitively getting stuff constantly and such but I dont really see it as something that'll really be a problem?? I'm trusting atm that ppl are going to be fair with this. if not I just wont do this anymore or limit to ppl I know.
just wanted to give a heads up since it's a possibility if you really wanted to get a gift or something and cant find an artist who is open or just really wanted me to do it.

✧ I will be using a 1 opening cooldown, this means that if you have gotten a slot during the previous slot opening you can not claim a slot until the next opening. I will be keeping notes about who is on cooldown (I would say 1 month but at the moment I am unsure if I will be opening every month. When I've gotten things sorted out and I'm more comfortable with the new system I will have this changed).
✧ If you are getting a commission with multiple people (you + 1 or more people) and one of those people are on cooldown you can not claim a slot.

✧ I have the right to decline any request.
✧ I have the right to charge more for extra edits and complex apparel/clothing.
✧ I will not charge for edits in the sketching and lining phase, but once it gets to the flat colors I will start charging if the edits become excessive (small edits in this phase are fine, like if I mess up colors or patterns, but with larger edits that have me change the lineart, that's where I'll start charging extra). I generally will not edit past the flat color phase.
✧ Commissions are for personal use only (repost on your social media, printing, used as pfp, etc).
✧ Only the artist, the client, and relative copywriter holders have relevant say to what happens to a commission.
✧ You may repost a commission anywhere as long as it is intended for you and it is credited properly.
✧ You can not resell the piece to others.
✧ You are commissioning me for my style. Do not commission me to draw in someone else's style, that is an extremely rude and insulting thing to do to an artist. Every artists' style is different. If you want someone else's style go commission them instead (if your character has features that are supposed to be a certain way then that's fine, but I will not be drawing in someone else's style).

Heyo! thought I'd work on a lil guide for how my ships work + potential rules for art of my characters with other characters outside of their respective ships as well as just some general info about the characters I have visible on FA.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ☽ Important Info ☾ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━
I am very picky when it comes to who my characters get paired up with and it is pretty much just limited to only friends of mine and people I feel comfortable around. As you may know, Ender is my sona and she is very special to me. She is mated to/shipped with Zerik canonically. I'm a little more open when it comes to characters other than Ender, due to her symbolic importance to me. Not that I really worry that I'd have a lot of external art with ppl since it's limited to ppl I'm comfortable with, but I need to say that I dont necessarily feel the need to have a lot of external art mostly because I like seeing my ships as they are and I want my ships to be priority over external images. Also, getting art with Meru is something I'm iffy about and even if I did end up getting some with him (both Ghooostie and I must agree with it because he is also part of this ship), it would be very limited because we both dont want external art to dampen the meaning of their ship, if that makes sense.
Images that are not of my ships, especially with Ender, do not mean anything and have no "hidden meaning". It is simply platonic and has nothing special or extra to it. They are simply just images.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ☽ Ship guide ☾ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Zerik x Ender
Zerik x Ender is Ender's canon story ship and her main ship. This ship is one of the most important ships to me due to its significance in my universe and life in general. Zerik and Ender are what I would call "soulmates". Myskarian relationships are created through the binding of souls. Souls that have that special connection, whether they're born with it or the connection is created though "bonding", will be drawn to each other no matter how far away as well as being the one who truly "calms" or can bring peace to its counterpart. Zerik and Ender's souls were bound since birth, such as the moon is one with the night sky. Their companionship throughout the story shapes a lot of important events that take place. Since they were the original duo who sparked the whole resistance as well as being part of some old timeline events that shaped a lot of the world that the current timeline takes place in (idk complicated story stuff I'll someday have the time to sit down and try to explain properly). They are my favorite ship and this whole universe and story holds a lot of significance to me since it has been something I've been working on for 8+ years now. They have their fair share of ups and downs but in the end they would be ready to give up the whole world to keep each other safe.
Ender x Lilith
Ender x Lilith is a secondary story ship that I've been playing with for about a year or so now. This ship is canon but it does not end up being the endgame (Zerik x Ender are the endgame ship). This ship popped into existence when I was working on Ender and Lilith's dynamic and I really enjoyed working on them and loved the idea of these two childhood best friends having some romantic interest budding as they work through their struggles and the issues that they face. Eventually, however, they have a falling out and do end up going their separate ways when it comes to relationships and end up in their endgame ships. They're cute and I want to develop how their relationship evolves, falls apart, and then repairs over the story.
Meru x Phyress
Meru x Phyress is a ship between my friend Ghooostie and I! it is of an angsty grump of a soggy noodle and his fluffy burning marshmallow phoenix gf :> I haven’t done much with Meru's story. Originally it was meant to exist within Ender's universe but I've been thinking of having a separate universe where characters such as Kathy, Sidka, Rouge, ect. (that I don't have a place for in Ender's) would exist without it interfering with canon stuff. This would also make it so that I don’t have to spend months trying to figure out how exactly to fit the other non canon characters I have into Ender's universe. Also, it's currently my newest ship. :>
Kathy x Sidka
Kathy x Sidka is a ship that developed through some personal frustration and me ending up liking the dynamic I accidentally created between them while trying to work out other ship things. They're probably my least developed pairing atm since I've mostly been focusing on story related ships as well as the new Meru and Phyress one :>
Alastor x Celestal
Alastor x Celestal is basically the sun counterpart to Zerik and Ender. Celestal is Ender's older sister and the solar arcane (Ender is the Lunar arcane). Alastor is Zerik's best friend (mostly regarding to old timeline stuff). I don’t believe I've talked about this ship nor have I really drawn any pics of Alastor and Celestal. Their dynamic isn't super fleshed out yet since it is not a major part of the story yet.

Ender is a Myskarian(or dragoness if you want her non-canon form). She is a Lunar Arcane, which is a Myskarian born with a soul strong enough to harness the raw magic of their respective alignment (generally Myskarians are bound to the magic sub-classes of the alignment they're born under) allowing them to learn and use all sub-classes under their element. Nightmare wyvern. A manifestation of nightmares and corruption. They have many names but the most common (given by Ender) is Malice due to it's violence and malice towards those who are unfortunate enough to become it's prey. They are also known as the eater of worlds, or the eater of dreams, and harbinger of nightmares. While it mostly roams within the minds and nightmares of those who struggle with reoccurring intrusive thoughts, corruption, and nightmares, it does have a physical form where it can roam freely within the shadows of the physical world. Its mouth is lined with rows of razor sharp teeth that continue down the sides of its throat. The edges of its mouth is sown loosely shut, the seams able to be torn and its mouth able to open down the sides of its neck. The seams, made of a thick black blood-like liquid that Mal secretes, will reform after a couple of hours of being torn. Malice possesses and is made up of shadow magic and corruption. They can melt into shadows and engulf their entire body in the black magic, making them look like a wispy monster of void and black blood. When enraged or stimulated, red slitted pupils become visible on its black voided eyes. The shadow magic also gets a wispy red glow around the edges. Malice is capable of the corruption of the physical world, being an entity of chaos. When unleashed (or freed) upon the physical world it will consume everything in it's path, corrupting creatures and the world around it. It's jaw splits down to it's neck to consume and everything it's consumed is sucked into the void. No one really knows where consumed objects go, all that is known is it has an insatiable hunger and can consume endless amounts of matter at a time. Malice is locked up in a plane of existence between life an death. Within the dream state and corruption itself. Malice in stronger states, they can physically harm the victims even from the dream state or "the void", many victims waking up with cuts and damage on their bodies from where they were harmed by him in these states. Also, in these stronger states, Malice is capable of inducing hallucinations where they appear in the physical world, not 100% there, but very dangerous and capable of inflicting harm just like in the dream states.
Malice and Ender
Malice was introduced into Ender's mind at a young age, or perhaps she was born with the connection due to her relation with corruption by inheriting her father's magic and being able to withstand and control corruption to an extent. Malice haunts Ender's dreams, nightmares, and mental state. He can be met through "the abyss" also known as the emptiness of the mind, the blank slate of dreams and emotions, the black and white space. He is seen throughout Ender's story as a tormentor and calls for corruption and destruction through Ender's actions. He calls for her to give into the void and be consumed. He has often caused Ender physical harm through the dream state and from "the void". A lot of what he can do to her in these states can effect her in the real world.

Luna is a Duskfury, which means that she is mostly nightfury with some lightfury in her. Her appearance mostly resembles a female nightfury with a slender, but sturdy shape. However, due to her lightfury genetics, she stands smaller than the average nightfury, making her a target for attacks. She developed a fierce defensive attitude due to this to cover up her weaknesses. Nightfury and lightfury body structures are altered slightly from the cannon HTTYD designs such as more realistic anatomy and bone structure. Thanks to her nightfury genetics, she has big pointed teeth accompanied by prominent fangs along with her large claws. Her spine has a mix of both spines and fins. Spines are visible on the top of her head but quickly turn into a fin which runs from the beginning to the base of the neck. The fin then becomes spines starting from the base of the neck all the way until the tail bone begins. From there the fin continues down her tail until about halfway before it turns back into spines. The spines then run all the way to the tail tip. Her final prominent features include her wing shape and fins. Her wing shape greatly resembles the standard nightfury wing but with slightly less dip in webbing between each wing finger (kind of halfway between nightfury and lightfury webbing). Her tail fins, however, are more lightfury in design. The fins never truly separate, being connected from the end of the “rear fins” to the beginning of the “tail-tip fins” with a barely noticeable fin membrane that holds closely to her tail. Her “rear fins” shape has a similar notched design as her “tail-tip fins”. Both are about the same size. The underside of her wings and fins are colored with her base body-color grey and the topside colored with a darker-almost black grey. The white markings on her fins are consistent on both the top and underside of her wings and fins. Also her markings are also symmetrical on either side. Her eyes are an icy blue and her paws are a bit thicker and more webbed looking which comes from her lightfury genetics and she has a natural like for water. She is a decent flyer, definitely not the best out there thanks to being a hybrid. However, she is a much better swimmer than her nightfury kin despite preferring being in the air. (Deep water terrifies her and she refuses to swim in it despite being part lightfury and also being a good swimmer). She can not do the lightfury camo so instead she just hides in the dark and mostly blends in if she covers the white markings on her body. She is lacking in the physical strength category but makes up for it with cleverness and caution mixed with her defensive nature. (just gonna go ahead and steal this from her info ref lol)

Just a general existance update
Posted 4 years agoHey,, usually I don't do personal update journals,, mostly because I don't know if I should and I feel like any time I take the time to talk about my personal issues I'm being a burden and annoying ppl,, but I want to be more open and interact with my watchers more,, I guess this way it feels more personal and you can get to know me a little better rather than me just being another artist on FA (plus I like interacting with yall). It also doesn't help that I'm not 100% sure how to word things correctly to convey my feelings and what I want to say properly. :T
I first of all want to say I'm sorry to everyone for being distant this past year or so,, more so these past few months,, or at least I feel like I have been distant. I've been kind of out of it and not very warm and talkative lately. Been going though a lot, mostly emotionally, and I'm working on getting back to the happier and warmer me,, which of course is something that cant be forced and takes time. College has been a major stress-bringer and as some of you know, my depression and anxiety have gotten pretty bad to where I'm having to take meds now (or at least trying to find ones that work with me). I really do want to be more warm and friendly though, I feel like when people try to talk to me I'm distant and distracted and I don't mean to come off like that, I've just had a lot on my mind (and plate in general) lately and none of it is your fault. So I feel the need to apologize and to start trying to be more interactive.
Also to top all of that off I've been having issues with major self-doubt/hatred and hating my art so that's great, kinda a thing my depression has been making worse than usual (It's also becoming more common which I'm not at all chill with but oh well, what can you do I guess lol). It's making me feel like I don't deserve any of the attention I get for my art and that my art isn't commission worthy and that I should just give up. No matter how much people tell me I'm worth it and my art is worth it I cant completely silence the voices in my head and they'll eventually get too loud again, like today. However, I want to thank everyone for all the support you've given me and sticking with me even though I don't feel like I deserve any of it. The kind words really do help tho, even if it is temporary <3
So since I've finished my queue I'll be taking a break from comms until I feel ready to take them again. I'm not sure when that'll be though. I may take a few slots here and there or take some from ppl I know (like friends or mutuals), or those who have idea's that wouldn't be too difficult to figure out,, really depends on how I'm feeling,, I'm trying not to overwhelm myself again. I'm also going to be working on revamping how I take commissions. There will be a new slot system and I don't think I want to go back to reserving slots and making a list. It had gotten too long and ended up becoming a major source of stress. Prices will also be changed and I'll put out a journal when both have been redone. Another one of the things I want to do during this break is work on my art style. As I said before, I've been having a lot of self-doubt and really hating my art lately. You know, the "feeling like it's not worth getting a comm from me compared to other artists" or "why would people waste their time with you when there are ppl out there who are so much better than you" feeling. I know it's not a mindset I should be in but there's this little voice in the back of my head that tells me these things and it gets really hard to ignore sometimes. So I want to work on my art. Specifically backgrounds/landscapes and anatomy/style,, because to me my art style is too "stiff" and I try too hard to make it look "perfect" which, in the end, makes it look worse in my opinion.
I will also be putting out a journal which will explain certain ships as well as how art with my characters will work. It will also have listed character preferences and general info in case anyone was interested in that sort of stuff :> It's been the reason why I've gotten 2 refs done in like 2 days and there's one more I need to finish before I can post the journal :,D
Anyway, I thought I'd try to explain why I'm taking a break and why I've been kinda distant,, give yall some incite into what I deal with on a day to day basis and I'm trying not to sound like I'm ranting too much,, I rarely get to rant anyway,, feel too guilty to,, but what does it matter, I'm not feeling emotionally stable/well atm anyway. Anyway, I thought I'd try to explain why I'm taking a break and why I've been kinda distant,, give yall some incite into what I deal with on a day to day basis and I'm trying not to sound like I'm ranting too much,, I rarely get to rant anyway,, feel too guilty to,, but what does it matter, I'm not feeling emotionally stable/well atm anyway. This is probably a bad idea and I'll just end up deleting it later when I'm in the headspace to think clearly. Just wanted to talk to yall.

Posted 5 years agoI've been debating on trying a new way of taking commissions and following what a lot of other artists are doing which is doing a first come first server style each month or so with cooldown for ppl so there's a chance for others to claim a slot. This would most likely make commissions less stressful for me since what i've been doing so far is keeping a list which gets really overwhelming really fast haha,, so just a heads up that once i'm finally done with the last of my current list i'll be trying a newer style :>

Gore/spooktober 2020 and commissions update!
Posted 5 years agoI've been preparing for Gore/spooktober and I've updated my list from 2017 since I plan on fully participating this year! This is part of the reason why I've decided to just take my break now and put the remaining 6 in queue on hold until then. I was getting really burnt out and wanted to do stuff for October so it all lined up perfectly for a break :> So just a heads up that I will be continuing the last of my queue once October is over (Halloween is my fave holiday so obviously I need to hype it up to all it's glory xD) I apologize in advance if you aren't too into gore, it wont be anything along the lines of gut spills or amputation or the more heavy stuff so don't worry,, just more of the blood and spooky stuff. Posted 5 years agoSo I've been thinking,, I'm almost at 900 watchers already and I wanted to do something for 1k so I was thinking of hosting another raffle when the time comes,, either that or I could take some suggestions of what ppl want to see and I choose my favorites or the ones that interest me and I'll draw some stuff. probably wouldn't be of ppls ocs and stuff like that but you know like "this is my favroite pokemon" or "favorite mhw monster" or whatever. I've always preferred drawing sfw stuff but if someone ends up having a particularly interesting scenario or idea that is nsfw I wouldn't mind trying my hand at it. but this is only me starting to ramble about possible ways to celebrate or give back. In the end its up to you to decide whether it'll be a raffle, whatever this is, or something else (you can suggest if you want), depending on what is most popular or if someone suggests something that sparks my interest :>

Commissions partly closed due to quarantine
Posted 5 years agoSo it might have been kinda of obvious that I stopped taking slots when quarantine started and that's partly because I would think/want people to save their money in case the situation for them gets bad n stuff. I really don't believe in forcing people into commissions, especially at a time like this,, however, I want to make it so any future client, that is sure they want me to take their commission at this time, is able to have that option.
So in that case I will put this option forward:
I am going to put a hold on my entire list and section it off into 2 parts. Those who are already on the list can DM, PM, or just let me know here whether they still want me to take their commission during quarantine and I will put them under the "active list". Those who do not respond or let me know that they can't at this time or during quarantine I'll leave in the list that is currently on hold until this whole mess is done,,
The list is not staying stagnate forever, it will resume normally once quarantine is over and society is able to go back to normal but for the time being this is how I'm going to do it :D
Over this time I do plan on working more on things I want to work on,, aka personal art, Saphira art, Cynder art, or whatever interests sparks later xD but I will occasionally take a slot or two at a time to keep the commission option going in case someone wants art from me <3

I will say within the next few weeks I will update my commission prices so look out for that. The change will not be that big,, probably around just +5 for now so I would double check the prices when I poke you if you are on the list. Just so you’re aware of the prices ^w^

How you enter is by commenting (can be anything really) and I'll assign you a number. I have this going on for about a week or 2 (depending on how many people enter) before I put the numbers into a random number generator and that is how the winner will be selected. I'll post a pic of the winning number and I'll send a note to the winner. Keep in mind that if the winner doesn't reply in 48hrs (2 days, just in case they forgot to check FA cuz I know I do this myself) I'll be choosing another winner.
The prize will be a single character sketch-fullbody. It will be colored, shaded, and have a simple/flatcolor background. It can be nsfw or sfw.
In the meantime, while the raffle is in progress, I'll finish some personal art and hopefully finally get new refs done for some characters of mine.

Posted 6 years agoSo I thought that since I'm not used to updating commissions for my watchers through journals like this one and it seems as if I just disappear for periods of time without posting I made an update to my TOS journal that is featured on my page
What you will find now, above the actual TOS info, are my slots.
I have 3 slots and I will keep these updated regularly. You can see the list of what I'm working on and you can now watch my progress (since I update it once I make progress on a piece such as finishing lineart and waiting for it to be approved by my client). I have my clients listed too (if you don't want to be listed feel free to tell me and I'll hide your user) so ppl can check them out if they want.
It's kinda just an easy way for me to keep track of what is what and it also allows you to see what I'm working on, whether my commissions are open, how many slots I have open, it also helps to make sure I don't go over 3 commissions at a time so I'm not over working myself and causing pieces to move slower than usual. You can see what's going on and so you are aware of what might be slowing progress down. (I tend to work on commissions all at once to keep everyone updated as much as possible so no one is being ghosted for days at a time. That also means that I would be working on 6 pieces at a time right now which is why my progress would be slower than usual. I rotate between all of them and go in order of which were paid for first so the first client gets their pieces finished first).

Tablet broke
Posted 6 years agoSo... my tablet broke and I don't know when exactly I'll be getting a new one so bare with me until then..
Going to see if there is some way for me to finish my current commission so that I'm not having to put it off until I get the new tablet.
Until then I may disappear or post some traditional art, who knows.
