The group has rather died down since my last attempt to successfully RP and I want to try to get something started again!

Let me know what activities you want out of this group.

If it is RPing, let me know what type of platform you prefer (free form/DnD etc ; Furcadia/forum/journal/chat etc). The FA journal is not working.
If it you'd prefer a conference-type chat, let me know a day you (all) are available.
I'll have to plan ahead of time since I have a family to worry about.

I am going to be at Anthrocon in Pittsburgh PA this year.

The espada set off towards the Timeless Crevice (the twisted caverns between The Menos Forest and the Deep Abyss) in the distance to check out the tear between Hueco Mundo and the Human World.

Without warning the group is suddenly surrounded by several dog-like creatures midway between the Dunes and Menos Forest. They're long, lean and skeletal, shaped similar to jackals, but with longer teeth and sharp claws.

You're alarmed you didn't notice them before. They mustn't register any spiritual pressure, so you don't know exactly how many of them there are. You ready for battle.

Monster Info
Hell Beasts are the unfortunate result of a past Octava's attempt to create the perfect guard dog for Las Noches. They attacked and then escaped in search for more prey and were never seen again.
They don't emit any spiritual pressure, so they can't be tracked. They were meant to serve as advance warning to the city of any possible threat.
They can phase in and out of existence.
What the individual can see is broadcast to the "species" as a whole.
While not particularly strong, they travel in large packs and make up for what they lack in strength with numbers.
While they look similar to hollows, they aren't hollows. No souls went into their creation.


Please. I need participation in this. Tell me what I am doing wrong, help me come up with a better idea, or join in. Otherwise there is no hope for this game.

Note: This is not the scenerio I had planned for the RP, though it is in the same universe. This is just a test.

Prologue

Hueco Mundo is a terrible, desolate place, a land of eternal night, lit by a solitary moon in a star-less sky. Cold winds lash like talons that rake against the dunes that shifts the sand; the only indication that time indeed, does not stand still.

Yet it is home to hollows; souls destined to live out their eternal existence in ceaseless hunger. The few able to evolve past this state become arrancar. In the past, these human-like beings, with the help of a legendary ex-shinigami established an immense civilization called Las Noches, that not only stood out against the savagery of the land, but surpassed it. The thousands of years since shaped the beings into what they are today.

50,000 years since the fall of Aizen.

The relationship between hollows, the humans and shinigami remain much the same; tenuous at best, mortal enemies at worst.

"There has been a breach in the barrier between our world and the other realms. We do not have a clear identity of what, or who caused the tear. Your task is to investigate and seal the tear before too many hollows cross over into the human world and cause problems, or worse; shinigami scum enter ours."

Slipstreme, the successor to Aizen (ie: convenient plot device), hands you a map of Hueco Mundo.

Las Noches is in the center of the map. Followed by a large ring expanse of sand dunes. To the North is the Menos Forest and to the east a dark pit labelled the Abyss. Further beyond the two of them is an expanse labelled Timeless Crevice that envelops both on each side.

"We suspect by the flow of reishi that the tear is somewhere in the Timeless Crevice, three days journey from Las Noches."

*Note sonido is only to be used for short distances. As in Bleach, much of the travel is done walking/running due to the fact maintaining a flash step or sonido will tire you out.

*NO GOD MODDING!!! Your character can't be the best at everything. It isn't fair to other players and makes for exceedingly boring RPs. (EX: I hit you with my sword and you die instantly.)

include a short intro to your character in the first post, followed by what your character was going to do. Include battle stats and moves that your character knows. Resureccion stats are not required.
You may copy your characters info from a note you have saved etc. I will collect these and post them as a text submission for reference and for everyone to see.

I don't have my own computer. If you are good at map making please draw a map for us. I will try to draw one, but I don't know if I will be able to scan and post it. I will try to photograph it, but I can't guarantee clarity.

It seems like there is still interest in this.

By Monday I should have a draft of something for this.

This will be in the journals, updated at least twice a week. Length till next journal post: as long as it isn't too hard to follow, or perhaps by each section of RP (ie, separating fights into separate posts from storyline).

I'm thinking on doing a sort of test RP to see how it goes before the real storyline.



New RP members will only be able to join in the real thing when openings are available (ie: it would be weird to have someone randomly join in when you are already deep in the boss's hideout) , but the test RP on Monday will be open to all.

I've long thought about posting this journal.

When I took over leadership, I genuinely thought I could motivate interest and activity in this group, and I have fallen very short of that goal.

I admit, my own procrastination and overwhelming feelings of obligation to family, work and schooling have gotten in the way of any real progress. However, I feel this group's time has come to an end: Even after long stretches of time I log on and find no notes or questions regarding what is going on, no responds to the contests I started long ago, no recommendations for art and very few, if any, watches and favs.

Basically I failed. For that I apologize.

RP Status
As far as the RP goes. I long since decided to nix the D20 concept when I realized after character creation that it will make it next to near impossible for newbies to get into the flow of things and I suck as a teacher. I should have realized this in the beginning, but I was too concerned with policing godmodding to notice.

If there is any interest in this I will head a freeform RP, here in the journals, or perhaps on IM, once a week.
On IM, it will have to wait till I have a stable computer because mine is broken.

Got tired of waiting for an eviction notice. The game is still on hold, but I have a monster manuel (for the hollow types in Hueco Mundo), enemy characters, a workable combat system, settings etc. So hopefully when I finally figure out what's what I'll be able to launch the game at that time. Thank you for your patience.

Also, how would anyone feel about running an art contest? Prize would be a free arrancar badge from me, or badge of the character of your choice.

We are being kicked from our apartment. I don't know how long it is going to take to get set up in a new place, let alone get internet set up.

As it is, I've been sharing my wife's computer since mine is broken. Since she got laid off, the time I usually have to devote to various projects, including the game, I've been spending with her or letting her use her computer.

So basically, what I expected to be a 1-2 month project to get set up and running is now going to take even longer, and I have no way of estimating when I will get it done, as of now.

I hope you all stick it out with me, but considering the group's activity in the past, I wouldn't hold it against anyone if you decided to leave. Just please, let me know so I can open space up in the future.

Since progress is somewhat stalled in the espada game. To pass the time I offer a challenge.

1: Write a story (any length), or draw a picture (sketch, lines or color doesn't matter) of your character fighting or killing shinigami. Any premise or scenerio you desire.

2: If you don't like the idea of violence, do something involving an espada celebration; whatever that might be. (ie: the anniversary of the day Aizen took over the world etc.)

No you don't have to do something if you don't want to.

If I find time I may award something to the "winner" if there is one, but this is meant just to have fun and get everyone's creative juices flowing.

With 4 out of 5 votes being for scenerio 6, we will be using Scenario 6:

Scenerio 6: Insurrection breaks out amongst the arrancar (random arrancar; not this group) leading to war over the future of Las Noches.

Are you ok with having to get another account on a separate forum to play?

I'm still working on the mechanics of the game as a D20 system, but it seems the fairest option for D20 gaming is to go to a forum that has dice rolling software. I could try to work around this but I'm not sure how just yet.

Lately though I've been thinking on doing a Freestyle form of RP for IM conferences, requiring a lot more acting, essentially a generic RP. However, it would also require significant moderating by me, which can lead to having to boot players who are playing unfairly.


As far as progress goes, I have suffered a few setbacks coming up with a decent character sheet for you all. However I have a good cast of villians, a set plot line and a decent map to start with.

Remember this will only be a template for me. It won't limit the growth of the RP, but give me an idea about what type of scenario you; the players, are most interested in.
Due to not getting any responses that object to spoilers at the end of the arrancar arc, I will include one scenario in this list that relies directly on the last chapter. Most scenarios take place hundreds of years after Aizen, others are AU.



Scenario 1:Although there have been many years of peace, shinigami hatred remains high. A plot develops to invade Soul Society.

Scenario 2: The arrancar invade the Earth to stop the shinigami from sending souls to Soul Society.

Scenario 3: A misunderstanding leads to all out war between the espada and the shinigami.

Scenerio 4: A retelling of the story as if the espada won and Aizen becomes God.

Scenerio 5: Life after Aizen's rule is established. Featuring a distopian future and resistance movements from the remaining rag-tag groups of shinigami, humans, vizards and quincies.

Scenerio 6: Insurrection breaks out amongst the arrancar (random arrancar; not this group) leading to war over the future of Las Noches.

Spoilers
Scenario 7: The espada break into Avici to rescue Aizen after or before his sentence comes to an end. Or alternatively, to kill him in revenge of breaking his promises to their “ancestors” and abandoning them.

Have you read the end of Deicide? Bleach: Chapters 399-415.

I want to post a list of different scenarios to vote on for the group RP.
All but two are long after the arrancar arc. One is very specific to the arc's end: there will be spoilers.

If anyone has not read it and does not want spoilers, let me know. I will omit that one from the list.
The other scenarios rely on whether or not Aizen succeeds and won't contain any real spoilers.

Art Theme Events
To get the group going I have decided to do art theme events.
They wont be contests. There won't be any prizes as I don't have the time to promise art. This is just to get everyone's creative juices flowing.

Suggest a theme you would like to create art or writing for.
The one that gets the most support will be the group's first theme.
Each theme will last a month. During that time I will open a vote for the next month's theme.

I will announce the first theme on the 30th of Sept based on your suggestions.

If there aren't any, I will stick with my original theme which is Espada Holidays: Celebrations that your arrancar would participate in.

Responsibilities will include: You will be the roleplay leader of the group.
Please only pick this position if you have long-term RP experience.

I will be using a D20 system similar to DnD so familiarity with this system is a plus. When I finally get everything hammered out for the game the Primera espada will have to work his best to be available for nearly all sessions (1x a week).

I've seen a couple requests for this. Please post here if you are one of the ones who have IN THE PAST requested the Octava.

While it isn't a requirement, I hope that the Octava will stay the group scientist. Otherwise, a fraccion medic may be required. If a different espada is interested in being a scientist/doctor let me know.

Hello, everyone, I am  slipstreme originally joined as arrancar 42. I hope to get this group back up and running to the best of my abilities. I have a lot of ideas and a large support base with considerable experience running groups.

It's been ages since I last logged in on this account, sorry for this. I got some serious problems with my school, life and other stuff and forgot this account. I might become active again, proven this group still has active members. Is anyone still there or are Espada furs long forgotten?

Things currently going on in my mind

I have some plans with  phantomstar about Espada activity. The idea is this: For each Espada is assigned a shinigami partner to fight with. You can freely choose who and how do you want to fight (Text, music, art, story, rp, etc...)

As you can see, many spots are reserved. There are so many interesting furries to join us, so keeping them reserved feels kinda stupid. From now on, you can make second reserve to a spot. The one who sends ref first, will be the one to get it.

Edit 1: Espadas, if possible, I´d like to have a picture of your character (In order to create profile ID. 60x150 pixels is the size for the part that comes to the ID. Full picture is welcome too, but your choice)
