Hello all
Posted 12 years agoI just popped back in to look around and realized it's been a whole year! Holy smokes! Anyway I am still around but I have only done some pencil drawings and a quilt square in the past year. My computer died and with it my photoshop and now my tablet won't work with the new Windows program. All in all a disaster in regards to my art which makes me sad. Hopefully I'll figure something out. Until then thank you all and cheers!
Very much alive ^_^
Posted 13 years agoMy new job (I think it's been a month now!) is awesome. I love it here. I feel respected and well thought of, instead of the disrespect I felt at my previous place of work. I really enjoy my work too. I get to learn new things every day. :]
I miss art terribly. I was working on a neat picture which I just remembered I never finished sooo I'll look at that when I get home and see if I am inspired or maybe I can just post it unfinished.
I have had a longing desire to put my mental fantasies on paper, but I am always afraid I will not do them justice. What're your thoughts?
I have an arttrade I said I'd do ages ago, which I will get to at some point, even if that person has forgotten hehe:

Everything is terrible sometimes
Posted 13 years agoI feel absolutely worthless and helpless. My current job pays me not too well (and also has no hours for me ever, which is deeply upsetting and makes me feel like a reject). A new job that I have an offer letter from, is not paying me as much as I believe I am worth (and my guess is that I underestimated my worth because I didn't want to be too hopeful nor do I think I'm the best, but I'm pretty good). Also on top of that the one time I actually have work, I make a humongous error because I'm so stressed out and preoccupied!!
I want things to turn around so badly and I don't want to feel like a massive dog turd.... All I want to do is crawl into a hole. How's everyone else's life going? :/

Posted 13 years agoHello my dear watchers!
My current job has practically laid me off. I am desperate for cash these days. :/ I would love to do commissions. I know I am not very well known nor a huge part of the community but I'm hoping that I can make this work.
I hope everyone's year is going well!

Tough
Posted 14 years agoWell life is still going great with some scary hitches though... I've been entirely uncreative lately but that's not unusual. I seem to go in phases of doing art frequently and then none at all...
I'm scared because my job (which I am quite fond of) may not have enough hours for me. I'm looking around for new work but I always think of the worst possible thing that can happen, which is I don't have a job for months or years. *sigh*
My man won me back and we'll see what happens when he moves to the Bay Area for work after he graduates this December. I'm hopeful. He's a sweetie and I think worth putting my heart on the line. Who knows what could happen.
Do you want to do an art trade? If so let me know! Even if we've done one before. :]
I am open for commissions.

Life
Posted 14 years agoHey all!
Well I am living in the east bay again, not necessarily permanently but probably for a prolonged period of time. I am working at an environmental consulting group and have officially graduated with a BS in Environmental Management! Yay! :D A lot has changed since my last journal update. A lot... some good, and some, well... not bad, but I'm not sure whether it's good either. I was dating the greatest guy I have ever met but we parted ways because he never wanted to get married as well as a few other reasons. I don't know whether we made the right choice and he wants me back in his life. I hope I don't look back and regret it someday...

Why did you join furaffinity?
Posted 14 years agoI have officially graduated and now have in my possession a BS in Environmental Management. Yay! I won't be able to make much art in the coming weeks even though I want to! I'm lining up housing in Oakland for my new job. ^_^
Anyway I thought it would be interesting to hear people's reasons for drawing what they do and being here on FA. I know why I'm here and I do what I do! My favourite books as a child were my animal books always. I had an endangered species book, a thousand horse books and a sweet animals a to z. My favourite story books had animated animals in them such as many of the Jan Brett books, Morgan and Yew, and The Unicorn and the Lake. As a young person Watership down and the Redwall Chronicles were super high on the list of loves. I also feel like animals are real; they don't hide their emotions or lie. This would be a better world if we were more like animals and less like, needy, greedy humans. ^_^

Up next
Posted 14 years agoWell I have been wanting to do this for a while but I am finally going to do mammals/marsupials/monotremes A-Z for fun. Soo if you have a particular mammal you are interested in seeing, reply and I can probably accommodate! I am super excited about this. The only one I am certain I want to do is a bear for B. :]
Also I am graduating from university this Saturday! I have my cap and gown and I am jazzed. My awesome family is coming to hang with me and a couple close friends. *loved* I am so excited to be moving back to the Bay Area. I will officially be in Oakland so yay!

Epic
Posted 14 years agoThis is a pretty epic battle of the wills to let the show go on!
Horse herpes forces rodeo queens to ride on stick horses! Ah hilarious... I hope the horsies are alright in the end.
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=15716018
I now have two jobs offers in Oakland which is making it a difficult choice and I got accepted for an internship. I feel terrible turning anyone down. I figured that one of these would work out not all three!! So a tough choice lies ahead.

Posted 14 years agoI hate to even say this but I must.
I just found out that someone out there is a bongo/canid on a site I used to frequent. I really do feel kind of miffed. I always make fun of people who get all outraged by "thieves" and honestly this person doesn't qualify as a thief (considering the bongo is an animal that exists and I just took the markings I liked) but I still feel sad... I have met other bongo characters out there but none that were on the site I used to be a part of nor who put their bongo markings on a canine. So in that sense I was original. Anyway there you have it.
Oh on a positive and random note that you watchers may not actually care about is I have two interviews next week and I am starting to work on some contract work for a company that may progress to full time. I am very excited!
