I did love it, but have a few niggles.

The biggest being WHY did they not use the name. I mean, come on, who in the world calls THE MOST ENDANGERED MACAW a "blue macaw" when there are a bunch of other blue macaws in existence. It's a Spix's macaw, goddamnit. The ornithilogist guy EVEN USES THE SCIENTIFIC NAME, cyanopsitta spixii in the course of the movie, but they DON'T ever actually call Blu or Jewel Spix's macaws. Which, to me, is an utter WASTE of an opportunity to help out a macaw that is extinct in the wild. There is a viable population in captivity though, which are being bred so maybe, just maybe, there's a hope for them.

Second was that even if they were the last two birds on the planet of their kind, they'd still be functionally extinct. Two birds do not a species repopulate.

Third, big love for the fact they included toucans as zygodactyl -two toes front, two toes back- birds like parrots, BUT wtf for the missing hind toes. The anisodactyl birds, like the red-headed cardinal and the other guy, had all four toes, but the zygodactyl birds had two fore and only one hind toe. Whyfore the lazy, guys?

All in all it was a fun movie and I loved the music. I just wish they didn't, y'know, skip out on some important things.

He makes the most marvelous, hand-bound sketchbooks and I love all the thought that goes into them. Each one is custom and unique, so give them a gander and consider commissioning one, nothing beats a sketchbook at least to me~

Unfortunately it seems my friend is no longer interested, so I'm going to have to work on it until they are again.

2011 can go die in a hole already.

This year is going to suck. It already is sucking and I don't see it getting any better.

I am trying to change. So hard.

But it's the same time and again.

Grandad's birthday next sunday and I don't know what I'm going to do. I miss him so much. Everything was always better when I could just spend an hour or two with him.

There is no silver lining. No greener grass. Nothing I do makes any sort of improvement for myself or anything around me. I'm fed up of trying my fucking hardest to be optimistic only to have it cut down and handed to me with a "well guess what, like everythin else you do it went wrong!". I'm told that my attitude is defeatist but what am I supposed to do when everything I do/love goes wrong? Tell me what the hell kind of mindset I'm supposed to have.

Like I said. I'm tryin so hard to improve my mind.

But I keep getting knocked back or reminded why I never expect anything good. Because nothing good ever happens to me. Everytime I get a little high, there's a massive low waiting around the corner to ruin it.

I'm just... sorry that I can't be this amazing person. Sorry I can't just spring up and do fantastic amazing things. I want to. I would really love to. But I can't. Other people are meant to do that, not me.

In short, my mind is set firmly in the belief that I am a waste of air. Nothing I do changes this, because whenever I try to be positive something happens to cripple it. I am verbally smacked for not being surprised when things go wrong/expecting them to go wrong when I've no reason to believe they'll go right. As a result, I retreat back into my worthless thought pattern. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Is hard to work on by yourself.

Been sat in the other room trying to forge some headway.

It was born as a collaborative concept with a friend who did enjoy working with the idea. Unfortunately she is no longer with us, so I'm hesitant to work on it by myself.

Trying to though. Afterall I can't rely on smarter, better people forever.

Just ignore me.

I don't know what I did to fuck it up but apparently I have because I'm not even spared a word now.

I have the exact same pattern.

I spend three or more years sharing and developing ideas with people only to end up without said person to work with anymore. I'm either dropped without a word or I suddenly don't fit in, for some reason. Even though for months before that it was fine.

It takes me a long time to actually trust people with some of these things and even then only if they enjoy it too.

So right now I'm wondering what is the point if all that will ever happen is people suddenly turning around and telling me they don't like them anymore. Especially after spending time building things with me and finding ways to improve it.

There's one exception but unfortunately there's no choice involved in that one.

I am jealous of the people around me that have rp partners that stay with them and don't suddenly decide they've had enough of everything.

I don't even pester. I will gladly sit and wait for umpteen hours between posts if it means I get to. I'm not the most brilliant rper ever but I doubt there's anybody who is superb.

I just don't know if I should bother with it anymore. Nobody appreciates it in the end.

I take forever to warm up to the idea of sharing some of the deeper, more personal aspects of my headworlds and when I do I don't like people just tossing it away like it's yesterday's used newspaper. I know I'm going to sound like some pitiful fucking idiot but it damn well hurts to have it happen repeatedly.

2010 sucked. Every major event in that year was one that I didn't want to happen, but they all did. Still here, though.

Was hoping to celebrate it but I'm not feeling too cheerful about now.

Hope 2011 is a good one.

And then, because you fail at life and being a functional person, you lose them forever?

So all that's left is the pull in your chest whenever something reminds you of them. Whenever they mention something that you were so intent on doing it pulls a chord somewhere that empties out your insideness so your stomach hits the floor.

And all you can do is wait. Wait and wait and wait and hope that every attempt to distract your mind from all these feelings will work and some day you will wake up and no longer feel like your heart is a thousand miles away.

I find that typing things up helps me get the weight off, so I'm trying to do it in a way that isn't so savagely depressing as the other ones have been. Just... writing it out whilst I wait to see the doctor tomorrow. Will need to build up the confidence to ask to see somebody about depression.

I'm glad to have as many friends as I do, both here and elsewhere. I do read every comment you leave, I'm just terrible with replying.
