Seasonal stagnation
Posted 16 years agoWith the come of fall, here begins my long period of stagnation. My truck pretty much died about the same time as last year, with similar issues, though this more problematic than last time. I'm looking at another alternator replacement on my list of issues. This truck is all about electrical issues since the start eating a battery a year, and now eating alternators once a year now too. Can anyone say 'screwed' On the good side of this breakdown however is the new roomate we just aquired, and with that an additional $400 a month to savings. Her car is pooched for the time being, untill I can get that car's back end electronics working again. Grr. Work is right across the street, which is good, but it's Wal-Mart which is bad. Our store is on track to cut staff starting with our crew, so everything is in panic limbo mode. Me my girlfriend and our roommate all work on that crew at that store. All on the graveyard shift. Screwed up economy. *crosses fingers about keeping our jobs*
Mossaroo Green Nano 5
Posted 16 years agoSplurged today for a Fifth Generation ipod Nano in Mossaroo Green.
Went with the full sha-bang of the 16gb model with that fancy new camera n stuff. I figure, since my old first generation touch just recently died, I'm open for a new pod. My touch died due to my own stupidity, I had it in my back pocket of a pair of shorts, and went wading. Water+Touch=bad. It started to show signs of having issues before that, by loosing its ability to output any sort of audio. Zero zip zilch, from head phone port or digital port, just no audio out whatsoever. What good is a glorified audio player without the audio, blah, RIP touchie. The Mossaroo I'm getting will by no means replace the touch, but it will at least be able to keep all my audio on it, and some tiny movies too. Touchie was only 8gb, so this is double that for less. Woo.

Snowbounders
Posted 16 years agoWell upgraded to OSX Snow Leopard today, all programs seemed to migrate over without difficulty, and speed has seemed to pick up as well. So far so good. I'm working on an animation project which has kept me from exploring and shooting pictures. not to mention weather has been rainy and mostly cloudy with a hint at fall/winter.
