Back from the hiatus

Sorry for my sudden withdrawal and the accompanying downer of an announcement for it. I was in a bad state of mind when I made my decision, and needed the time away to reflect on myself and my actions in the past. After a week-long break, however, I'm now back in form. Well, sort of.
Even though my hiatus was a very radical and hasty decision, ultimately, I think being less fixated on social media had a positive impact on me. This means while I am going to be active here and on social media again, going forwards, I will also try to keep my online usage in check. From now on, I will check my feeds and DMs less regularly than before, as I would like to develop a healthier internet usage habit than before. Naturally, I will continue to post art here, look at the works of the artists I follow and respond to comments and DMs when possible. It just means that I might not reply as quickly as I've done so in the past, now that I'm not constantly checking and reloading my tabs.
Sorry if I made anyone worried about me, but now I'm doing well again, perhaps better than I was in the previous few weeks. Expect to see art from me and other artists on this page soon!

On Hiatus for unknown period

To make it short, due to reasons I don't want to get into further detail, I will be going on a hiatus for an unknown period of time. This affects my FA, Bluesky and Discord presence. When it's something related to an ongoing commission or if it's a pressing matter you need to share, I will try to respond, but for chatting and the like, I won't be available for now.
I'm not sure when I will return, but I will announce when I'm back and hopefully in a better mental place again.
Sorry to everyone I've hurt due to me being a self-centred shithead. I have used the words "sorry" and "apologise" so many times now, that they have lost all meaning, but I do genuinely feel regret over my behaviour, both in the past and currently.

Plans for 2025, a question for you & thank yous

I wanted to write a more involved journal at the end of last year, which also included a sort of retrospective on the year, both regarding my furry stuff and also irl matters. Due to me having been busy with other matters, however, I didn't come around to it. Instead, this journal will go into my furry-related plans for this year, amongst other things.
Plans for this year:
1. The most important goal in my eyes would be to flesh out the world, where my characters live. So far, it had been a somewhat unspecified place in Switzerland in a modern-day setting, not too unlike ours. The setting itself will still stay the same, however, I'd like to properly develop a fictional town, where a majority of my cast live, alongside the small village Fabrice has his cottage. My aim with this would be to make the setting more feel alive and interesting, as if they were living in an actual world with its own history.
2. What I'd also like to do, is to rework some of my characters. The most notable of them would be Cecilia. So far, she had been in a very awkward place storywise, since she didn't have any connections to the rest of the cast. She also is a relatively shallow character, compared to most of my other characters. My plan would be to make her both fit into the setting better and to develop her as a character, without changing the essence of her character too much.
3. Naturally, I'll be making some more characters this year, since they're fun to create, and I also have way too many ideas. Without spoilering too much, one of those characters had been already posted on Bluesky, one of them would be the third roommate of Kay and Sabine, and one of them would be a parent of an established character. With the rest, I attempt to try out new things and just experiment in terms of designs and the characters themselves.
A question for you:
Following question has been lingering on my mind for a while now: what kind of art/stories/"content" would you followers like to see more of? More cute art? More lewd art? A particular character you especially love seeing? Knowing what you guys enjoy the most helps me which possible ideas for commissions and drawings to prioritise. Don't you worry though. Just because someone want to see more of XYZ, doesn't mean I'll be only posting XYZ in the future.

I really didn't expect to get in touch with so many cool people in the furry fandom, when I first became more active last year. You're all an awesome bunch ^^

I usually don't do adverts like these, but since it's an artist I've worked with previously, I thought to make this little journal.
The artist KattMao, from who I've gotten YCHs previously and is also the artist I've adopted Cecilia from, is in need of an appointment at an ophthalmologist and would require a little bit of financial support to do. She is currently offering a few YCHs and adopts for around 40 and lower, so if anyone has the time and money, I think she'd appreciate it ^^

Got a ToyHouse Account now
Posted a year agoSo last weekend I was chatting to one of my friends, and through happenstance, they have mentioned they still have a Toyhouse registration code and asked me if I were interested. What my answer was is pretty obvious considering I'm writing this journal right now!
It's still all WIP, but I think I already got the hang of how to add characters. So far, Fabrice and Cecilia have been added, and further characters will follow hopefully soon.

Posted a year agoIn August this year I finally commissioned a reference sheet for my fursona Fabrice Vendee, a character that I had been developing for almost over a year by then. It is around this time, where I really entered the furry community, previously merely enjoying the art (both the SFW and the NSFW ones) and occasionally lurking around on Discord servers. With the year coming to an end in a few days, I wanted to quickly reflect on my experiences with this fandom so far, tell you what you might expect to see next year, and thank some pretty neat people. I have you warn you advance though that the text may be a little longwinded and rambly (just like I talk in real life too).
As you can see, I have created this account over a year ago, but until I got my ref sheet of Fabrice, I didn’t really use it much. Since then, I’ve been very active on FA, spending way too much time following artists and looking at cartoon animal booty :)
Usually with big groups or communities, I often feel out of place, either because I don’t share certain popular opinions or just because I don’t really gel with the people, but this fandom felt very welcoming to me! Everyone I’ve talked to have been super nice, and even in this short time, I’ve made some actual friends online. I feel very comfortable in this community, and I hope I will be part of it for a long time.
Aside from these three, I also got ideas for several other character, including Fabrice’s artistic but also arrogant twin brother Victor, and a yet nameless trans female red deer with serve social anxiety. Additionally, I’d love to do some split commissions with a friend of mine. They’ve got some really cute characters, including two I have completely fallen for (Mila & Duca, my beloveds).
Also, and this is pretty big, I’ve picked up my pencil and started practicing drawing again after two years or so! The way to become a somewhat decent artist is still long, but so far, I’ve been really enjoying this journey. At the moment I’m focusing on figure drawing (and also tediously working through the 250 boxes challenge *sigh*), while making doodles on the side. Most of the artwork will still be commissioned from other artists, but you can expect the odd doodle or sketch from me appearing on this page. Making art will merely be a hobby of mine, and I’m not planning to make a living out of it (mostly because I’m still terrible at it). Still, I can imagine that I might do the occasional YCHs or adopts someday (not commissions, because I prefer to have full control over what I draw), but this is all, as we nicely say it in German, “Zukunftsmusik” (something that lies in the far future).
To cap this chapter off, I’d love to know what you’d love to see more of in terms of artwork & characters. I’d also like to mention that I’m always open for suggestions, split commissions, and gifted artwork, so feel free to reach out to me, if you want to do something with one of my characters.

Reflection:
I think it was almost two years ago, when I first discovered I’m a furry. I won’t delve into the details too much in public, but I will say that it at the same time I realized I’m bisexual too. Since then, I had been exploring the community from a safe distance so to say, mostly interacting with furries on RP servers, and following certain artists (and also wanking way too often to yiff *cough cough*). Through RPs, certain kinds of artwork, and the then limited interactions with furries, I was able to explore my sexuality in ways I simply couldn’t in real life, figuring out what I’m into and what I’m not, what relationships would work out for me, ect. Eventually I also developed an interest in creating my own characters with their own personalities and backstories. This is how Fabrice began from a badly drawn sketch to the sexy nerdy twink (I at least think) he is today.As you can see, I have created this account over a year ago, but until I got my ref sheet of Fabrice, I didn’t really use it much.
