I've been away for so long but I have not given up on the arts just busy as hell. I have a few projects on hand right now most namely a new painting on the new Corel Painter 12! It's more or less half done now but on a larger note I also have one the board an indie game I am working on hopefully to be released on the interwebs and later if it proves successful on the XNA developer center of the Xbox Live network. It's a rather original concept and at the moment is still on the drawing/story board.

Needless to say that has been taking up a lot of my time when not working 40+ hours a week. I had hoped to release an all anthro classic styled RPG and was %30 done with all the scripting sprites animation et cetera when all my data was irreplaceably wiped. I am trying to come back to the site as best I can, just know I haven't forgotten about all you guys.

I log in to FA to find over 6k art submissions :-/ it's been far too long but it was very nice to see that even though i was away you guys were still commenting faving and watching, I posted up a quick piece I painted be sure to check it out, you wont be disapointed. And thanks again Fur affinites you guys are great!

Thats right I'm holding a contest, in which the Prize will be a Wacom bamboo 4x6 Pen Tablet. No strings attached, how can you do this you say well its very simple...

The tablet is my own used it for a little over half a year and it was what finally took my art from plain dodge and burn colourings in Photoshop to what you see today so as you can imagine it has some sentimental value to me. However, as of the past Christmas holiday I was fortunate to receive an new tablet a few sizes up from the previous. So my older one is essentially gathering dust in the box.

I thought about selling it on amazon or ebay, but I really did want some human getting there hands on my beloved only to draw naked humans and such hehe. The tablet itself is slightly used but I still have the original box, CD, instruction booklet, pen, cables etc. And it is still in Grade A working condition.



SO TO THE CONTEST!!

too many times do I browse VCL even DA some times only find the same stagnant Furry Art depicting a simple species standing there lookin furry with no other reason other than lookin fluffy.

So the contest will be as simple as I can explain it.

the following guidelines for entry will be...

A Dynamically coloured picture
Monochrome style colouring
Intense colour contrasts or black and whites
Pictures in which the Mood of the character syncs with the colours
Various colour harmonies (ie: red and green, puple and yellow)
dynamic backgrounds or abstracts
Above all the picture must show at least some level of emotion, whether it be dark bright or neutral

(FYI: the picture does not have to contain all different styles listed above, at the least just one with the exception of the last guideline)

If any partical style or type is unknown feel free to search it on wikipedia or any other art site below are a few examples of some of the different styles

the contest will be held for approximately 5 months however if the need arises I will extend to contest to the need of the applicants, the contest itself is open to anyone, from any nation (I will handle all shipping costs). Both digital and traditional pictures are accepted and of course the one common subject must be an anthro character or characters.

It might sound somewhat demanding if you are unfamiliar with the styles and such but all considered its a FREE Wacom Tablet! one that when I purchased it ran me for $135 USD. And if you wondering there will be a second place, in which the winner will have to option to get either a standard bonework necklace custom made, or a simple comission from myself

Comments and Favs

I need to take this second to apologize to some of my recent watchers and other artists whos have faved my work. I dont have as much time on my hands as I'd like between Work, current art, and with trying to start a business and such.

I do my best to respond to the watches and comments but between managing three art accounts on various sites it does get somewhat difficult. All in all I might not always have to time to give proper thanx but rest assured I am not going to turn into one of those snobby artist that dont respond and lock down there art and get uptight about who puts it on sites like fchan and ychan, ANYways before I ramble I just wanted to put out a big thanx to the Furry community here for all the watches and support!

INACTIVITY

Unfortunately at 10:34 a.m 6/6/09 my laptop DIED! power ceased to flow through her multitude of circuits for an unknown reason. All issues were checked (being pc savvy) but to no avail, so until I can purchase another which will likely not be for another month My art gallery will be completely inactive. Being a digital artist and having your pc die is the equivalent of running out of paint and haveing to walk 100 miles and pay 1000 gold coins for more.

I will still be active here to check messages notes and comments (including contest submissions) but you cant really expect more than that from me right now, hope to be back again soon producing some more beautiful art for this great community,

Due to my lack of steady cash flowI realized it was time to start takin some Conbadge Comissions and other wise to help ebb the flow of money and artistic juices I got flowin.

Relatively cheap from what i can gather $10 for the most part $15 for some of the Larger badges with backgrounds and Such,

The Same goes for my General Picture Commisions as well, around $20 for a detailed Hi-res image and simple textr or gradient background. Of course a little more for detailed backgrounds extra characters and such thogh not too much i want to stay cheap as I know how hard money is to come by now and again.

I realized late this night or rather this morning that I have no clue what I am doing....I am referring of course to Corel Painter X, I shelled out the cash a while back ago but after getting the other Artrage program I have been using i sort of fel out of it ANYWAYS TO THE POINT!

I have searched the net for tutorial pages and have only found tutorials that redirect me to Paypal cuz they wanna charge me up to $200 FOR A FRICKIN TUTORIAL!!!

So I would be a very happy fox indeed if someone could redirect me to a free tutorial website or even some personal help at the most,

Well Im sure a few of ya'll noticed that I havent been on as much mostly thanx to Huuricane Ike which tore through my neighborhood and took out my power up until about 30 mins ago

but I have alotta repairs to do which take money and it doesn't help when the job interview I was supposed to nail was planned on the day the hurricane wiped out the power grid so I am really in a Bind for cash. what with the fallen trees hardy plank that was tore off and all the missing shingles there no way i can take care of any of it soon, rite now I'm survivin on MRE's from the national guard. but,...

Bein from Texas Means I got far too much pride to ask for handouts so I am just askin for some commissions for my Bonework necklaces I am selling the prices are very reasonable and I hope you can find it in your hearts to help me out a little bit

well im tryin to upload alotta my anthro stuff from DA to FA and was completely swamped by how many people liked and commented on my art!

I almost never get that many coments in so short a time and it really blew me away!, so if i dont get back to thanking anybody for the watches and fave its due to my unfimiliarity with this site and not a snobbish disposition.

hehe its wierd the only way i would ever get 44 msgs on DA was if i drew paris hilton nude with a tail and lost internet for a month lol, well anyways thank guys i really appreciate it. I kinda needed that sortof inspiration as I kinda lost it during this pic i was makin of KIT MAMBO from animalypics, so after i brace for Hurricane Ikes direct hit on my home i should have it up providing i don't lose power.
