If you've been listening to my whiny journals I've been having problems with my laptop (It's name was Faust). Basically what happened was the computer would start to freeze up. I was searching for my external to back up my files when the comp froze, after a hard restart it blue screened on start up. :(

I took it to the repair shop in hopes that they could make me look like an idiot and everything would be fine. Turns out the hardware was failing. It was so bad it crashed their machines when they tried to run active tests. woo. it's like a zombie spreading the infection...

So I purchased a replacement and the lads fixed my comp up today. I lost absolutely everything. All my data from the past 3 years. art, stock photos, refs...sigh...The comp was renamed with the new brain and is now Dante. Named after the hell I went through over the past few days.

So yeah good news is my paper i'm preparing for publication is saved online. I had a copy of windows 7 lying around and with the new Harddrive i just updated and dropped vista...um...m'yeah...whatever >.>

diagnosis from the comp hospital, my hard drive crashed. I don't mean a crash where i can get the data back. I don't mean a crash were I can get the hard drive back. My hardware crashed and failed.
It apparently is failing so hard when they ran it through the machine the poor testing equipment went wonky. it's failing so hard it's like a fail zombie.

So now I have lost all my data...all...of...it...and I'm stuck with a rather large bill for a new hard drive. Sigh.

the only saving grace for this, is the one paper I am actively working on to get published, is backed up via email, because my prof insisted that I email it to her. Otherwise...nada

I feel hollow inside...

That was the death of Faust I guess...now off to spend money I don't have

my computer has been weird lately. it would slowly freeze and I would have to restart. then I thought I fixed it.

The worst bit is I can't afford this at all, but I can't do any of my paying work without my motherfucking laptop...fuck fuck fuck...

random critique rather ruined my mood...and now it's annoying me that it bothered me so much. I'm just rather distressed to think I still am so basic that someone feels the burning desire to tell me "if you want to get better then practice". I hate finding out how I come off to people.

I think I need a break.
I'm starting to feel like everything I draw is crap and I can't be bothered to get better...

Also joking town really doesn't translate online so I sound like a needy annoying twerp to everyone I come across.

Normally I get a trickling of 1-2 watches a submission, i'm not that good so this is fine. I got to sleep and wake up to find 32 messages, half of which are watches. I'm excited, and happy, and frankly confused.

after this hellish week it feels great to just have time to relax and play videogames...before going right back to writing papers...sigh

I have just returned from Rainfurrest (I was Faile, the big red fox with a gigantic bell :D) I'm new to fandom. I didn't really know what furry was until 6 months ago, and i'm jumping in full force :>
