Could it be?.. Oh MY! - Half-way there!
Posted 11 years agoHello dears!
I am indeed, not dead. Just a very, very busy game dev these days ^^. I've missed this community though! Although I checked in over the years, 2D art has just really not been my focus. Anyway, I'm here to change that - for a little while. See, this little beauty caught my eye...
http://assets1.ignimgs.com/2014/06/.....0ea74_960w.png
She costs a pretty penny though, at 399 Euros.. And funds are a bit low at the moment ^^;. But aside from that, I'd love to do some proper little illustrations again of your characters! So for a -very- short time only, I am taking icon & badge commissions! This will be open until I reach my 399 euro goal and not a moment longer than that, so feel free to be a generous commissioner ;). So down to business:
Let the fun begin! <3
(*yes I'm totally down for this, just describe what you want in your Note and we'll see if we can work something out)

Advice building a home pc - UPDATE /w specs!
Posted 15 years agoA mighty big thanks to all who responded to my little query! I've narrowed my list down to two set ups;
Antex Three Hundred
ASUS P7P55D
Intel Corse i7-870 (4x2,94 GHz)
NVIDIA GTX460 (1024 MB)
8 GB DDR3-1333
660W power supply
1TB harddrive
or
Thermaltake Element V NVIDIA Edition Basi
ASUS P7P55D
Intel Corse i7-870 (4x2,94 GHz)
NVIDIA GTX 470 (1280 MB)
8 GB DDR3-1333
CoolIT ECO Advanced Liquid Cooling
Corsair CMPSU-800G Gaming Series GS800
1TB harddrive
The price difference between these babies is about 200 EURO ($304), so I have to consider whether the (relatively) small differences in performance are worth it. Either way it will be a hefty investment which will have to wait another month's salary to be realized. Your expert opinions are always very welcome!
It has finally happened, my laptop has fried itself after three years of very unfaithful service. She was a bitch from the beginning, there's no way around it. So, I am on the lookout for a replacement. Not going to invest in a heavy duty laptop, instead I am opting for a pc with a small but reliable laptop as an addition.
I want to have a home pc built that can handle high poly sculpting, rendering and the more recent PC games. As it happens, I know very little about what requirements I need, other than that it should have decent RAM, multiple cores to amp its processing power and sport a decent graphics card.
So, a mini shout out to any of my watchers that are more computer savvy than I am, for any tips you can think of. No new art before I get this thing built ;3.

Intuos3 tablet driver/USB issue - SOLVED!
Posted 15 years agoI fixed it! Thank you all for sharing your thoughts, there were some interesting ideas I tried out and eventually was able to locate the issue. For any others that might have this problem, please read below!
DRIVER NOT FOUND wacom intuos 3 issue, Vista
- Uninstall all wacom software, including the current driver. Restart.
- Download driver version 6.11-3 from the official Wacom website
- Install, restart.
- All programs -> Wacom Tablet -> Preference File Utility
- Remove 'All Preference Files'
- Plug in tablet
- ???
- Profit!

My Intuos3 tablet is currently out of commission. Or rather, it's driver is. Let me explain.
The tablet has not even been moved, much less damaged, since this problem started occurring a day or so ago. It is safe to say that it is a software issue. I am at my wits end, really, as I have tried everything under the sun and the driver still malfunctions. Half the time when I try to configure the tablet settings (because pressure sensitivity disappeared), it tells me that there is no driver, even if I have installed it not moments before. Other times, the tablet does not respond at all, no matter what USB port I am using. I also suspect USB foul-play, as the tablet responds to the pen (light flickers to green), but no action is displayed on screen.
I am running Vista, have updated, installed, de-installed and re-installed all related Wacom software, and have done plenty of reboots. Any thoughts, input or insights are highly appreciated. It is amazing how crippling malfunctioning software can be. *sadface*

Another birthday
Posted 15 years agoOne of double matching digits! Had a really good day, in part because of my colleagues. No presents yet, my proper party is coming along this weekend. Also, before I forget, I'd like to congratulate my birthday-buddy Obama on his 49th! Good times man. 8D
Life
Posted 15 years agoHi everyone,
Two weeks ago I was employed full-time. While this is a joyous development in many respects, it leaves me with very little spare time. As a result, commissions have been pushed to the side. I have not kept any of those affected by this informed of the situation and I want to apologize for that. I should have made more of an effort to keep everyone up-to-date.
My priority now is finishing those commissions that have already been paid for as swiftly as I can. As for others that might currently be on a waiting list, I have noted down your names for future reference. However, it is not likely that I will open up normal commissions again any time soon. It would not be fair to you guys in terms of time, and not fair to me in terms of adding extra stress to an already busy schedule.
I hope there are no hard feelings. Please feel free to contact me at any point should you have any questions regarding a pending commission. I will do my best to get back to you within a day.

A great big THANK YOU
Posted 16 years agoThank you to all of those who wished me a happy birthday - indeed, a happy one it was! Also, I really appreciate all of the watchers, comments and favourites I've gained since I started being active around here, what is it, two months ago? You guys are great, thanks for all the support.
BIRTHDAY
Posted 16 years agoThat's right, I'm again a year old. Time flies by, really, I'm an old fart. Ah well. Sadly, turning 21 means nothing: I've been allowed to drink and drive for three years already. On to the big 30!
Art help?
Posted 16 years agoI've been pondering some of these questions lately, and it would be helpful if any of you could respond with your thoughts! Just look at it as a silly Q&A type of thing, feel free to answer any of it. I'm just curious.
- What is you favourite kind of art to commission?
- How do you feel about adult commissions? Gross/awesome?
- What do you dislike/like about my art?
- Where should I improve?
- Any tips? :3
