Posted 12 years agoAnd I gotta say, I am so impressed with the improvement of so many of the artists I watch I'm practically in tears. Seriously, oh my god, you have all been working so hard and I'm so proud. I haven't really been drawing much with work and considering I've been a touch out of the loop in the art community, I've not really felt the itch to draw much. But hey! I have technically been drawing. Just not much furry stuff. Which is why you haven't seen much of anything here lately.
I guess the point of this journal is to let you all know I'm still alive and I'll be drawing more anthro since I'm house sitting and have little else to do.

So I'm in a pickle
Posted 13 years agoI've pretty much lost all my money to bills and expenses from a head on collision that happened on Oct. 26. I was thinkin I could do a bunch of $1 sketches for people. If you give me more, I won't complain, but I don't know how much more I can do than that. I don't know what else to do... I'm trying to find a lawyer, something, anything that'll fix things. Or at least alleviate some of this. I don't even understand how I can get hit and the other person's insurance company deny liability. I just. This is ridiculous.
Anyone have any experience/advice for this kind of thing?

Maybe it's just my screen resolution
Posted 13 years agoFeels like FA is blowing up my drawings to ridiculous proportions. Yeesh. Anyone else seeing what I'm seeing?
so i realize there are a few new watches
Posted 13 years agoi thought i'd mention that i've been neglecting my work here, but i'm trying to get back in the swing of things. recently had a rather extensive automobile accident, so i've had some time to sit around and draw now that i'm off of most of the medication. i do a lot of sketches and partially finished stuff, but every now and then i do something complete. can't say there's really much to me but i really appreciate the watches and i'll do what i can, when i can c:
Is it just me or is FA having some "technical" difficulties?
Posted 13 years agoBecause I am pretty sure this is the third time I've tried to upload something and it's not uploading correctly, if at all.
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHH
Posted 13 years agoWOW SO
I
have no idea what is going on with FA.
seriously what the hell, dudes.
I GUESS IT LOOKS KIND OF NICE ON SOME LEVEL???
But that's what I get for being gone for long periods of time. I haven't actually drawn too much furry art lately, but considering I'll probably have a lot of time on my hands this week, I may just change that. It really all depends on what my butt of a fiance has planned for me.
anyway yeah
just kind of
poppin in
since i'm off from work this week
about time too
i haven't really had a vacation in about six months uvu

I gawt a jaub
Posted 14 years agoI really did. So drawings may happen sporadically. More often on Sundays and Mondays, as those are the days I am off. But more importantly, I will not be going hungry. In the future. As for right now, I really want some food as my tummy continually tells me how displeased it is at my lack of foraging skill. I can only look helplessly at people, hoping they will take pity on a poor fool with the hunting abilities of roadkill. I only wish I could be more convincing. Or at least, a little less hungry.
ATTENTION - AVISO - HEY
Posted 14 years agoFA has been blacklisted by Paypal for being a pornography site. Even if you are a clean artist or not purchasing adult work do not mention FurAffinity in the transaction. You could be banned.
Just a warning to any and all artists and commissioners.

Well this is awkward
Posted 14 years agoJust curious:
How many people would be interested in a "name-your-price" commission?
I know I've been kind of out for a while now, but I'm kind of really hungry and it would really help me out ;u;
I'm currently looking for work elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find anything. That's really all I've got to say at the moment. :U

I'll still upload here from time to time, and I'll still answer messages, but I have been pulled in by the allure of baby turtles and tiny kitten pictures. That place is fucking Narnia, man.

Going to be going to Puerto Rico for 16 Days
Posted 14 years agoStarting on Tuesday.
But I'm mostly posting this because I have actually kind of been productive and if I'm going to post something, I might as well post it now. The thing is that I'd like my watchers' opinions of things. though. I sang a song. I doodled some. I have improved a little as I hope has been made apparent by my last drawing, but I really don't have anything finished. I'll probably just dump all of it before I go, so there won't be much to say, but at the very least I thought I'd at least leave this option open.

I guess I lost a few people for that last sub but whatever. I don't think it matters anymore. I'm not on much anyway. ouo

Sneaking on for a bit.
Only thing I've gotta say:
How can it be the truth when it was always a lie? Never did you really feel that way. Never did you intend. I was used to sate your pain and feelings of being wanted. Now you're done with me. Why can't I be done with you?

SO I JUST DROPPED BY TO SAY...
Posted 15 years agoMy home comp is going to be unusable for the next 21 days, starting tomorrow. I'm going to die so hard inside. To the peeps that have my digits, I should be able to occasionally talk and text when my fam's not going all nazi on my ass. Here's hoping I make a better ninja than an artist. 8D;;;
SO THEY ALL TURNED OUT AS SKETCHES
Posted 15 years agoI guess I could color them if anyone wants, but at this point, I'm not sure if I have the attention span for it. I've been spamming Muro a bit on dA, leaving silly sketches everywhere.

HEY YOU THERE (Possible FREE art)
Posted 15 years agoDo any of you have some awesome character refs for characters that are needin' a little love?
I'm kinda bored, and I don't feel like drawing any of my characters. All ten of them lol
Post refs and I will probably do a few bust shots. No guarantee on how it'll turn out, but it is free. :U
Feel free to point me in a general direction you may want me to go.

Inspire
Posted 15 years agoSo today I was thinking about what artists in my life have most directly affected my art. Sure, there are people I'm friends with that support me in my endeavors, but if I were to list them all, my fingers would fall off from all the typing. No, the people I mean are the people that have most directly influenced my style, improvement, and served as my greatest inspirations.
1. Bill Watterson
The creator of Calvin and Hobbes. I found his work in the third grade at a book fair. I fell in love with his wit and style of motion. He made me want to draw comics. To make people laugh and smile. It always amazed me how his best humor seemed to also be his most subtle.
2.
rayfkm
One of the first artists I watched on dA. One thing I learned: Simple, simpler, simplest. Excess only leads to mess, so say what needs to be said and no more than that. He made me want to try different styles, to not allow myself to be confined by comfort. Do what makes you happy. Not what others expect of you.
3.
arcanewind
This is an artist that reminded me how fun art could be. He's pretty much the reason I started drawing again two years ago. We don't talk that much, but his art was the inspiration that pushed me to try again.
4. Silky (because that's the only name my brain will divulge at the moment for you)
Fast and clean. Draw the way that makes you most comfortable. That's what I learned from her. Styles will be different, but with enough practice, they're all good. She reminds me to always keep moving forward.
5.
neoscottie
Boobs. She forced me to practice boobs and larger body types. Pages and pages and pages of boobs and different body types. I think I'm a much better artist because of it, though.
6. The fabulous wuffy (Gawd, the labels my brain attaches to people)
Color and speed. Don't be afraid of your art. Kick it in the face and go for it. If it doesn't cooperate, kick it again and keep going. You'll get it eventually. Besides, art is how you express who you are. Don't be afraid to be yourself in your art. That's what makes it personal.
7. Saba
Above all else, remember to have fun. Remember the wonder in every stroke. Make everything a labor of love. Sometimes you must use a little tough love, but with everything, do your best to show the love through it.
8. Walt Disney
Goddommit. I still love watching The Beauty and The Beast. He made me want to cartoon for a living, and although that is no longer my goal, I owe a lot to him for my start in art.
9. Dr. Seuss
The Fox in Sox is the one books I made my mom read again and again and again. Dr. Seuss created these fantastic worlds where everything was possible. Nothing was unheard of, and there was always some sort of fantastic doodad or thingamahoozit to make even the worst situations better. His style drove me to push my boundaries. To always wonder "what if?"
10. My sister
Artwise, we competed as rivals. Not so much anymore, but our competition fueled our drive. We couldn't slow down. We wouldn't lose to the other. We refused. In the end, this drive forced us both to expand so that we could find ourselves in our art. She's probably the greatest reason I actually picked up a pencil. She had a natural talent for art, and I was jealous. xDDD;;;
This isn't in any particular order. I just wrote these as I remembered, which could easily be influenced by any number of things. >w>;;
So yeah. My top ten most influential artists in my artistic life.
