Jerbs (SKYPE INFO)
Posted 10 years agoGot a day job again, very excited with that. I start monday! This week I finished three foamwork and I'll finish another two this weekend, nearly everyone in my queue will have updates and I'm VERY happy about that. If you don't see an update don't fret please, just because my priority are TFF deadlines doesn't mean I've forgotten about any of you. Have a great weekend!
I've given up on Skype being any sort of use. Dragon plush I'll email you photos tomorrow.

What I'm working on
Posted 10 years agoMy queue is updated and some more foamwork is getting finished. I have two heads foamed and two more heads will be foam next weekend. I'm trying.
Quit digging
Posted 10 years agoSo this year has been kind of an experiment. An experiment to see if I could make a living off fursuits alone and have a enriched life as well as enriched customers. Well, I can't. I don't like it. It's not fun anymore. I WANT to make fursuits. I will continue doing that. I will clear out my queue and everyone will get what's owed. I'm still working on fursuits every day.
Not everyone that gets into this sort of business knows when to quit digging. This is the point where I quit digging. I'm going back to a normal day job (healthcare) in January and will work to clear out my queue until then and after then. I hope everyone understands.
Will I take commissions again? probably not. Will I make fursuits? Yes, absolutely. Pre-made stuff. I want to move to smaller things as well but I can't do that with a queue so I need to take care of that first.

UPDATES
Posted 10 years agoI'm closed up until after halloween/Onicon. I've got a heap of house work to catch up on (especially the garage) and the house has two new roomates moving in over the weekend while I'm in Galveston working Oni-con so I have to make sure everything is where it needs to be.
When I get home I'm working on my backlog for the next two weeks. After that is cleaned up I have a plushie and a few partials that should take me until about Thanksgiving to catch up on, maybe first week of December. A lot of small stuff.
I just can't work on more than one thing at a time. That's just what I've learned. Things turn out best this way. Have a fantastic Halloween.

Posted 10 years agoI would like to remind my customers that if you recieve something from me and something doesn't live up to your expectations I am always more than happy to make it right for you. My TOS covers a 30 day warranty. Something look weird? something doesn't fit right? Something get knocked loose in shipping? I can't fix things if I don't know there is a problem.
I'm an artist, I make art. My prices reflect my skill level. There are people out there that charge more than me and do better work. I'm fairly new as far as how many suits I've made. Coming to me with feedback and allowing me to learn and grow as a person is how you, my customer, can help take care of me.
I appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to working with more of you in the future.

UPDATES
Posted 10 years agoI had a friend come down while she was in the U.S from China and I spent some time with her for a week. She used to build fursuits (Fox Fairy) so she helped me a lot to catch up on some work! We also went tubing on the river down south, visited some friends in San Antonio and Austin on a pretty epic road trip, and she got dropped off last night.
I'm in a little rough way right now with crunch time halloween deadlines coming up in a few weeks and I promise I'm working every day to get everything finished.
Also the new house members are moving in halloween, meaning my work room is moving into the garage. I don't have any fans or ventilation in there yet so I'm kind of just working in the couch room (a literal room full of wall to wall couches)
I guess all fursuit builders make mistakes sometimes taking too much work. Or maybe it's not too much and I'm just stressed right now. And I've definitely never had this many customers at once so it's strangely quiet. But when I have updates, you will know! I kind of feel bad I don't have more updates for everyone but really it's best I work on one or two at a time or everything just becomes a mess.

HEY GUYS SORRY
Posted 10 years agoI just literally turned off my computer for a week. I feel bad about it but computers just weren't my thing this week. What's new, what's new.
White worgen is 99 percent finished
music bird is 80 percent finished
purple/black fullsuit is 50 percent finished
macaw is foamwork.
I need these things finished this month to stay on schedule to start my next batch of work.
I MOVED my computer into the kitchen and out of my work room. This means I'm checking email/fa/weasyl only once a day. Thanks guys.

UPDATES/San Japan
Posted 10 years agoOkay.
I leave Wednesday for San Japan and I'll be gone for a week. My priorities for when I get back is getting about 5 finished small parts orders shipped out and finishing Record and the Worgen. Preparing for San Japan this year and helping our new roomate move in and get settled took more of my work time than I had originally alloted myself so I'm a week or two behind. I appreciate your patience with me and I'll see you next week!

UPDATES
Posted 10 years agoI forgot to mention it here but my main email got compromised so I haven't been able to get to it for about a week. If you need something note me here or on twitter. Or skype!
I'm a solid week behind on work right now because of all the rain and holidays and a two hard deadlines that kind of snuck up on me this weekend. I appreciate everyone's patience as I play catch-up.
I wanted to have the white worgen done by next weekend but that won't happen. I have two other hard deadlines for that weekend for small parts and that will get done. I want to say you will be done in two months or less.
I have a suit mailing out this week.
I am VERY MOTIVATED to have this plush finished next week.
Purple puppy needs to get furred.

Posted 10 years agoI'm plugging through commissions and I'm really in the mood for small parts. I had a lot of fun airbrushing that tail and I could take a few more of those. Handpaws with fleece paw pads and 2 color-65 (3 spots open)
Tails, two colors or airbrushed, 80 each (3 spots open)
Snow leopard tails, 120 each (5 spots open)

JOIN ME ON THE SAN JAPAN REGISTRATION TEAM
Posted 10 years agoWe are still accepting applications for for the San Japan registration team this year. We have a tight crew of 20 this year and have room for a greenhorn or two. Registration team is a separate entity from San Japan staff and it's not volunteering for the convention. Meaning you are registration and stay registration the whole weekend, you don't sleep in volunteer crash space, or eat volunteer food. Registration staff is held to a higher standard and more is expected from you from the convention and from your peers. This isn't 4 or 5 hours a day and do whatever you want for the rest of the con. Registration is open=you belong to registration.
*You like the idea of going to an anime convention and don't mind not actually attending any events during registration business hours. We do break people during the day and try to take into consideration the wishes of staff to attend a specific panel or event (like the masquerade)
*18 and up, 21 and up preferred, under 21 aren't drinking.
*No getting fucked up on the convention floor, no open alcohol containers outside of designated areas, no illegal drugs, no banging in the hotel rooms.
*No cigarette smoking in hotel rooms. No strangers in hotel rooms without permission from your room leader and/or your director.
*Hotel room paid for and everyone sleeps in a bed, food and drinks paid for, travel stipend, greenhorns get sent home with 50 bucks.
*Bathed, brushed, deodorized, sober, and at the registration booth every morning.

Hiatus/vacation
Posted 10 years agoBetween September 2014 to this week I've moved three times, buried my grandma, went through major surgery with my mom, and finished 8 fursuits and a dozen parts orders. I am burned out and I need a break to take a breath, actually unpack everything besides my work room, and just kind of veg out and let my batteries recharge before I get into the next batch of projects. I'll be incommunicado until Monday or Tuesday. I haven't shipped Obi yet either, I'm sorry, I'll have to do that Monday. Thanks for understanding!

I need your opinion, please read! Yes you!
Posted 10 years agoSo I've been wanting to make a personal fursuit for myself but I don't have the time or money. What if I offered people access to my process in return for swag and knowledge? I'm thinking there would be three tiers;
Pay as you go. Pay for access for a day for an 8 hour stream tutorial. You can totally ask questions and get them answered and learn how to make whatever I'm making that day.
Pay as you go and get swag. Pay for access for a day for the 8 hour stream tutorial. You get sent one of the items that I make. IE: I do a class on resin blanks, I mail you a resin blank. I do a class on cutting and hinging, you get a cut and hinged blank. This is an option only for the tutorial classes.
Full-access pass gets you all the perks and swag and gets you access to watch every second of my fursuit build over Skype. My personal builds will be on weekends where as the tutorials will be on weekdays.
What do you think? Is it something that might work?
