Thoughts
Posted 14 years agoFunny how my last journal was spouting how I was going to be at MFF with home brew. Alas, starting a job a few months back required sacrifice on my part. Well at least I have the home brew. Hope those of you that made it are having a good time (or will have one) Lot's of folks I'm missing right now. I might be awful at showing it, but I really do. Especially lighting up faces and moods with art and drink made by my own two hands.
On the plus side, with some crap finally out of the way, I think I can finally get a ferret again. Been either low on funds or living where I couldn't have one for the past 3 years. Plus he'll be wonderful company to have around while Tek's on his month long job treks. This house has been sooooo quiet this month.
Also on the plus side getting a job again is making me boredly doodle things at break then finish them at home. So who knows might get my act together here someday. My last drawing made me feel pretty good. It's like a weight off your shoulders when you get an image stuck in your head on paper properly-ish.
But anyways once again have fun at MFF.

Mashing out
Posted 14 years agoI think it's pretty much confirmed Tek and I will be at MFF again this year. Most likely driving to give out samples of our homebrew once again. Will have the Fennel Oatmeal Stout and Coffee Oatmeal stout and possibly the Honey ale and Belgian Strong ale. Can't wait till this is Tek and I's main form of business. If you haven't tried our homebrew you don't know what you are missing. Our stuff rivals the professionals.
It's the fight of the century
Posted 14 years agoFirst time in awhile I've enjoyed hiphop. I still need to read Road to Serfdom.

Figure its time for a new journal
Posted 15 years agoJust got back from the Great American Beer Fest in Denver. First time I ever have done an event like that and boy was it a lot of work pacing myself not to get overly drunk and be able to taste as much as I could for inspiration .
Surprisingly I was not too impressed with what New Glarus had to offer this year. New Holland (MI), Buckbean (NV), Slyfox (PA), McCoy's (MO), and Genesee Brewing (MA) impessed me the most with their line ups. So be on the look out for their products.
Strangers were very nice..had someone even go grab me another beer taste while I was waiting in a long cheese line. Also god that cheese they had there for samples was heavenly flavor. Don't let the French trick you that cheese goes best with wine. There is a beer for every flavor =3
All in all it was an amazing experience and I already know what I want to try making more of and where to tweak our own recipes. I'll be damned if Tek and I don't have a booth next year.

So Long Once Again Ohio
Posted 15 years agoIn just a few more moments I will be embarking off to start from the bottom up once again far away from this poor little town. I escaped it once before when I spent some good times in Massachusetts. Unfortunately that place came to an end far too soon, and I still find myself thinking of it often. Alas moving forward is the only real way to live, and this time I find myself going to the west to Carpenter, Wyoming. I will be living with a great Roo buddy of mine. We'll be working on many projects including finishing a brewery he is building!
I had a great week of traveling around the state of Ohio saying goodbyes to amazing friends that have helped shaped me into who I am. Pakrat and Javs made leaving this place tough to do, but I thank you for the wonderful memories I now have. Farewell, and here's too future success =3

One fine morning...
Posted 15 years agoWell today I was sweetly woken up by the sound stone brick makes as it grates against the side of a vehicle's untouched paint job leaving marks more ugly than an unwanted child. Also my windshield was pattered tenderly as fat dirty fingers drove an equally muddy brick into it's glossy glazed translucent heart. A web of cracks wretched across its smooth surface, leaving an ugly blotch of clouded glass, like a giant cataract shadowing the surface of my passenger seat.
The perpetrator was luckily bound in cuffs as they were too dimwitted to run away. Their response was shaky and winded as they huffed out their defense, which consisted of the cliche phrases such as I duuunnnnnn'tttttt did utttt or cwaaaaalll thyeeeeee cwoooopps duooooo iytttttt.

Well Folks
Posted 16 years agoSorry I appear as a thing of the past folks. Its been awhile since my last journal and there has certainly been a multiple of changes since then. Some good, and some bad.
I'm piss ass broke these days and you know what, its honestly been healthy for me. I used to buy too many distractions, things that distracted me from art and good friends. I've been drawing and experimenting a lot over the past few months. I've put pretty much an end to my digital art. I'm now pretty much exclusively drawing on paper. There's just something more special to me about tangible art people can walk away with. Also honestly its a lot more fun and interactive for myself.
On another note, a wonderful person that wants to see me become more active and improve randomly came out and basically told me I am buying you a scanner right now! I was lost for words and quite surprised. Its also guilt tripping me into using it as much as possible when I get it hehe. This person was
skylerbunny Go tell him what a nice guy he is =3
And in closing of this long overdue journal. Once I get some stuffs scanned and such, and peoples see my current styles and abilities I'm gonna try something. Since I'm just barely getting by with bills because my current job pays shit, I'm gonna experiment doing commissions for friends I'm in comfortable standing with and if I keep focused and do well I just might start doing them for anyone. I hate the idea of placing a price tag on art, but I'm at the point where I need to find some other means for con money! See what I mean when I said being poor is healthy for me!
Anyways thanks for taking the time to read, and take care and I'll have some new art up in a few days, yay! =3

Weekends Are Raccoony
Posted 17 years agoI just probably had one of the most enjoyable weekends in a long time. Impulsively a friend, whom is also a fur, of mine named Royce agreed to drive on over. On Sunday he basically showed up and we jumped right into his car and proceeded to get ourselves lost on nice scenic, preferably dirt, roads. We were probably on the road in total for like 18 hours maybe 20.
In New York hunger struck and a farm transformed into a burger joint came into view. I suggested we stopped. Well that hamburger was damn good, but not good enough to wait an hour for....and no the place was barely getting many customers.
We also did end up in Albany once, and he showed me the hotel where some of the first AC cons were born. I also walked around in a silly wicker hat. This hat helped shatter my self consciousness...way to go Royce...who knows what I will do in public now = 0
We hung out a many more places and found a cool soda company called Freaky Dog...in a caboose at that! Eventually we found our way back here and he was an awesome help on making improvements on my cacomistle fursuit head. I was amazed at how much a couple subtle changes really just made it look so much better.
It was sad to see him go...but eh we all gotta get back to our lives after awhile. I'm sure a road trip weekend is bound to happen again someday!

I'm going all in
Posted 17 years agoI had a real blast at AC 08. It was, in fact, my first convention even. I really think I lucked out too in the people I met and the things I participated in.
Good ol' Kipper is the one that persuaded me to go. I just got to say thank you man! If it was not for you I'd of only felt half the experience of that place, if that.
I did a healthy dose of drinking too = 0 I especially enjoyed that mustelid party thrown by Jesper and his chums = p
Now even I am working hard at making a suit for hopefully FC 09 . I was gonna make a ferret, but then Kipper convinced me to make a cacomistle. Then he decided to create one too, so I suppose the future is cacomistle-ly here. His suit will probably put mine to shame hehe. So far I got the carving of the head pretty much close to being done. I think it looks pretty well so far. Just wish me luck...because I refuse to wear the thing if it doesn't come out right = p Save myself from looking a fool hehe.
So yes I am a furry now I suppose...I was in denial for years and years and years...damn

Thanks for standing still
Posted 17 years agoEver since I became a regular at CC2isCool's server I have just been damn obsessed with TF2 again and probably having the most fun I've had in a FPS online in ages. Why its even been inspiring me to actually draw again. I missed having fun when I drew, I tell you.
Anyways if you are finding yourself most likely BURNED or face kissing a bullet that just came whizzing from the hot barrel of a rifle. Its most likely FerretParade. Which is I in that game!

The door was open...I dragged myself in
Posted 18 years agoI've had these pains in the arse...I mean friends whom just kept on badgering me to make an account and take a trip from DA. There I did it. I dragged my lazy carcass over here.
I suppose I best get a Avatar up soon...I'll make that tomorrow. Give a shout at Kipper he's the one that motivated me. Rh change is good and healthy for creativity. Hopefully this place sparks up some juice in me for a start.
Also sorry if my language gets a little tainted with factory talk. I work as a social worker that cares for severe autistic/aspergers folk and its hard to be reserved all day = 0
Anyways to get to the damn point...Please to meet'cha all.
