I just wanna say thank you to the people who are still interested. I always feel so worried when enough time passes that maybe it's been too long and that the people who initially replied may not have interest or the ability to comm anymore, etc. etc. I'm having to push through those feelings right now and force myself to continue with this batch and not just make another opening post out of fear of too many changed minds. So, again, thank you ❤️

I'm opening a new YCH, this time for character TF. Okay, everyone who's going to read the last chapter has read it by now, yeah? So, time to talk about Fish Scales. First off, those of you who read it know that there was a second chapter cover hidden in there for the second half of the chapter. Here's a link to it in Google Drive!

This story was... fun, and also interesting to write. I kind of originally planned for it to just be a little side story with one arc, and then random side chapters for a sort of "What's Itsuki up to?" during the events of later stories. Obviously, it became much more than that. I kinda replanned a lot mid-story, so it was a little difficult to write at points because of me just... not being happy with certain plans and how weird they seemed. In the end, I hope I wrote a mostly cohesive story even in spite of the time skips.
And then of course, there was The Forgotten Mt. Frigid, which I just got the idea to do out of nowhere and decided I liked enough to do in-between chapters. I hope I was able to make Fish Scales still make sense without Mt. Frigid being a required read. Regardless, I have better stories (non-time-skippy stories) planned, and I've even already written the prologue for the next one as of last night. I'm really excited, especially because I'm going to try to bring more characters in for brief appearances before their big debut in the big stories!
Anyway, back to Fish Scales, I still have some stuff I want to do with the story now that it's over. I want to make a cover for the story itself, and I also have tons of extras I want to upload to the art drive some time soon. Mayyybe I could also write a short epilogue about what happened afterward, but we'll see. So, be on the lookout for those.

Anyway, what did you all think? Was the story good? Could it be better? Got a favorite part?

So, I know there's been 4 people who responded here for a comm. I just wanted to say sorry. I've been focused on the Twitter and Bluesky responses because there's been so many, especially with Twitter.
Regardless of where you responded though, if you're still waiting for me to message back, I just wanna say sorry that I haven't yet. I've been taking these one at a time pretty much because it's less stressful for me. And it worked in January! But, February's been pretty sucky with a lot going on, so I've literally only accomplished one comm this month and have another in-progress. Regardless, I'm probably gonna finish that one and then take a break until March, since I haven't been able to work on personal projects in more than 2 weeks. I'm just exhausted right now and want to work on my own stuff again for a few days.

Oh! I forgot to make these posts here and Weasyl, by which I mean, I totally remembered and was just very lazy!!

Anyway, I'm hosting a new YCH themed around the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder over on both Twitter/X and Bluesky! It uses the prompt list from  CrizBN's Octransfur event this year and tries to match up each prompt with a Super Mario enemy or creature, with most being able to be matched up with themes and creatures from the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder! Additionally, rather than being 31 individual pictures, this is going to be one big group picture.
The way it works is that under the Octransfur prompt post from me, there will be reply posts giving details about what each TF for each day will be like. Each individual TF prompt will have its own miniature paid raffle (free to enter, but if you win, then you pay up). If you want to enter for any particular prompt, all you have to do is reply under the post belonging to that prompt, and you're on the wheel.
You can enter for as many prompts as you'd like, but you can only win one of them. There also is no set date for when the wheels are spun, since I'll be rolling for each one individually as I get to them. That means that the earlier prompts will be rolled for much sooner than the later prompts, though, so think fast if you want one of the earlier ones.

Okay, so like, policy 2.7 was clarified, and it's kind of awful to be honest? I don't know how to describe it, but it really feels like they're treating this as a black and white issue, which I seriously hope isn't the case. In particular, it was the statement about minors being allowed in "SFW and non-sexual" contexts like transformation and vore.

So here's the thing. Yes, things like that can be very tame. You see characters getting transformed all the time in media, and you see characters getting swallowed up, especially by sea creatures. And yes, it's true that there are some artists like myself who try to keep the contexts of stuff like transformation more on the safe end.
But, saying that transformation and vore are generally SFW is straight up wrong. I can guarantee you that at least 80% of the vore art on this website has some sort of intent behind it, and TF is somewhere around the same boat. There are plenty of people who want to treat it as more of a fun thing and not get sexual about it, I'm the same way a lot of the time. But it feels extremely wrong to categorize TF and vore as generally being SFW for all characters, including minors, and then turn around and say that most other kinks are considered NSFW and that having minor characters or characters with "child-like proportions" anywhere close to those contexts is a bannable offense. It's stupid. This isn't something that can be treated like it's either "this" or "that".

I've been kinda considering this for a bit now, because I'm just not feeling it as much anymore and not sure how much I really want others seeing it, but I'll be removing some of my weirder art sometime soon. And especially with new rules being implemented, I really don't want to be banned for art I made months to years ago of my own sona, simply because he's small.

So, in a bit, I'm-a get rid of everything that isn't strictly SFW or TF-related.

Just letting you guys know, the IT department at my university decided to block FurAffinity from the school's wifi yesterday because of it being a porn site. And because "school wifi" also includes the dorms, that means that any time I want to access this site now to upload art or see what others have uploaded, I can only do so on my phone and have to turn off wifi. So uhh, if I become less active here, just letting you all know, that's probably the reason.

To be honest, I'm starting to get used to FurAffinity, which is good. But like, aside from just the lack of a mobile app or not being able to re-order drawings inside of a folder, an issue I'm starting to have with the site is just simply the fact that each post can only contain one piece of media. I get that most if not all actual art sites are like that, but I guess it's just something that I feel like I do enjoy more on Twitter. I can't really post alternate versions of art, nor can I post multi-picture sequences without making an individual post for every single picture. And because of that, I usually just opt out of posting alt art in particular.
Ehhh, not a huge complaint I guess. It's just a little tedious that I can't do this stuff in a single post like I can on Twitter. That's all though, really.

I announced this on Twitter a couple days ago, but 'eeeyyy! I'm starting a new story centered around Itsuki and his life or somethin'. It's just a casual thing for me to work on whenever I feel like it, but the way I'll be handling this story is whenever I post it here on FA, I'm going to be posting the chapter art, and in the description there will be a direct link to the PDF or Google Doc, whichever I end up using. Each chapter will be roughly 10 or so pages long, unless I decide to write a special chapter for some big story event. I hope you all enjoy reading it!

I made a folder for my little "Feather vs. Itsuki" TF War storyline. It's not quite as good as the Google Drive folder though, since I don't think I can upload the art I'm missing AND be able to rearrange it so that the submissions are actually in order. If anyone knows how to rearrange artwork within a folder, let me know, that would be really useful.
But anyway, the story's a little bit incomplete in the FA folder prior to the Charmeleon TF comic, so I'd recommend getting caught up on the story in the Google Drive folder. I even have a document that goes in detail about each attack between Feather and Itsuki to help better understand the story.

Real talk
Unless there's just something I don't know about, I do kinda wish there was some way to "retweet" or share art that others have made for you on this site. It could just be me, but even when crediting the artist for doing it, I don't really feel too comfortable making my own post with the art that I didn't draw. But like, I want to be able to share it when it happens because I like it and think it's cool. At the very least, I have links set up to my Google Drive folders for that kind of stuff, I just wish I could make it more public without having to post it myself.

I think I've uploaded everything I wanted to upload. If I missed any drawing that you really liked and want to see saved here, let me know. Goodnight!
