As you know, I've been wanting to deal with my workload and commission queue, but the world just doesn't want to let up. I hate to ask yet again, but I've hit a point where I need help.

For fear of getting into too much graphic detail, this year started off with some pretty bad hemorrhoids. I've started to medically treat it but it continued to worsen. Following this, I managed to get a flu last week. Now my temperature is around 37.5 C / 100 F and there is a possibility of infection that will require medical intervention. The good news is the medical operation is already scheduled for tomorrow. The bad news is my finances are strained. I can cover the operation by maxing out my credit funds and using all of my savings. That's it, nothing left. Won't even have funds for food.

All told, the medical procedure will cost about $1k USD between the procedure itself and follow ups. I'll also need at least $100 USD for food for the month, not mentioning rent, power, and other general day to day expenses.

All this combined has left me in a state of despair, and I don't know what to do. Out of my family, I'm the only one able to work for any kind of income with everything going on, and between this and my current queue, any other commission work will have a wait time of at least a year.

Operation was successful. And I'm finally home. Good that I've decide to do it now, problem was bigger than we thought at first. Now it will be a long road to be healthy.

Yesterday I had a checkup. All is fine but recovery will take min 3 weeks. And now, I'm finally have normal temperature \o/
Only after operaion medicine is more expensive than I was thought. For 1,5 week I've spend ~110$.

Today I was wanted to start with good news, but an arrival of a rocket in my city (Kyiv) leave me without electricity for almost all day. At least now I have it back.
The good news is that we collected needed money and even more \o/

Still got problems with electricity ana russians attack doesn't stops. They even send drones at the New Year night. But we'll get through it.

After the last rocket attack on Kyiv, on December 5th. I have electricity 4-5 h a day. Thanks to Clostridium, Jubatian and Nix I have power banks and a lamp that works with it. And haven't drown in the credits.
So, I'm slowly working on detailed arts, but mostly making some sketches (mostly for some details of the arts I'm working on right now, but they are too ugly to show) to get some mood and pass the time till the light.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give you all a status update on how I'm doing. I'm alive, but I've been struggling, mentally and environmentally. As it stands, I'm currently the only member of my household that has access to any kind of income in the war zone that is my home. The stress of this, the fact that my home country is under attack, and constant power outages have given way to depression. I'm angry with myself for this, because I feel I've let everyone down who has entrusted me with their ideas, and that vicious cycle further makes me struggle to create.

As you may be aware, things where I live have not been going smoothly, to put it mildly. On November 23rd, there was a massive attack on Kyiv, the city I call home. This attack lead to a blackout lasting over 39 hours, including 15 hours without water nor access to any kind of internet via my phone. Thankfully, water has been restored and I've made sure to bottle a sizable amount should this happen again, but power is spotty at best. In other positive news, I DO have a small power bank that was fully charged before the blackout began. Over the course of those 39 hours, this power bank has been run flat and my mobile device was down to 54% charge by the time the light appeared.

Drawing by candle light, as much as it has been romanticized by stories of the middle ages, is not all its cracked up to be; my eyes grow tired quickly, meaning I can't draw at night. To combat this and to help me break free of this cycle of stressed over owed work, I'm going to be purchasing an additional power bank and a small lamp that can run off of it using credit on my card. Even without power, I am determined to keep creating for you, because it's better than simply sitting here, doing nothing, waiting for the next blackout or the next series of explosions to rock my homeland.

I don't like to write about my problems, and I'm even more so too proud to ask for help, but I've finally reached the point that I understand I can't do this by myself. I don't want to take on more work because I've got an already lengthy queue and it will be quite some time before I can start on any new orders I take. That said, I do need to ask for a hand up, not a hand out. If you don't mind knowing there will be a long wait ahead of you, I'd be open to talking about more work.

Hello Everyone,

October wasn't the best month for me. The month started off with a nasty flu, and just as I was starting to feel better, Russia started bombing my nation's energy infrastructure. This has lead to frequent and lengthy power outages. At first, it was only 2-4 hours without power every day, but now it can be anywhere from 8 to 12 hours without it. And again I can see consequences of these hits from my windows. Good that I still have cold water.

With all the stress this has been putting on me though, my migraines have been getting worse, and have been rendering me non-functional for days at a time. This has lead for my plans for art to fall apart. Most attempts end up in the trash, and it leaves me feeling like I'm letting you down. It's becoming a viscous spiral for my mental health. I'm hoping that soon I'll start feeling better and can get enough restful sleep for my mood to improve enough that I can resume working, but I don't know how long it'll be before that happens. I don't know when it'll get better, but I'm going to keep inching towards daylight until it does, and I want to say thank you to everyone who's sticking with me through this. I appreciate it, and feel I owe it to you to keep you informed and to say thank you for your patience as I try and deal with this on top of the war.

I come bearing news. Sadly, my cat has encountered some issues with her health. Two days ago I noticed her muzzle was swollen. After taking her to the vet, they've confirmed she has an abscess, along with other dental issues that need to be addressed quickly. The sooner, the better.

The good news is this will only run somewhere between $150-$200 USD for her medical attention, compared to the thousands this would cost in the US. This is, however, still a sizable amount of money for me where I'm at.

The bad news is that's still $150-$200 USD more than I have right now, on top of what I need to raise for rent this month. As mentioned in previous journals, my funds are low at the moment, and my attention at present is focused on older commissions. I had planned to open up for 1-2 more at the end of the month for Rent, but this has changed my schedule.

Because of this, I'm opening for them now. My goal is to hit $400 USD total to cover any unexpected bills that come up, and to do it in as few commissions as possible so that I am not overloaded. Please be aware, there WILL be a delay in getting these finished as they're going to the end of the queue, but if you have a dire need to get it done quickly, we can work something out.

Things are quickly deteriorating, though I want you to know I am still currently safe. Financially, I am not in a good situation, however. The long and short of it is that even in a war zone, bills still need to be paid. My bank isn't making my life any easier, today it freezed my cards until I pay off what I currently owe.

To make matters worse, PayPal is giving me issues with accepting payments because of how it's tied in with my bank. Right now, I'm looking to try and raise $900 to get my accounts sorted and get my bills paid and to try and make sure I have some kind of normalcy in my life.
