Posted 14 years agoyeah gonna go drive to see my family for thanksgiving. honestly, i have no idea what to expect. my thanksgivings have been less fun every year since about 2008, when my stupid fucking cousin decided to crash the party. she made my aunt cry by being a huge cunt, which made my grandfather lose his temper and shout at her. which is totally uncharacteristic for him. he's usually very quiet and reserved, and he just lost it. there was one point where my cousin asked my grandfather to kill her, and my grandfather said he wished he could.
all in all, worst family get-together in the history of the howard family, and because of it, my aunt amy and her three sons refuse to come over to my grandparents' for any holidays. last year, we had christmas at amy's house. that was the first time since 2008 i had seen my three cousins, evan, brandon and ryan. my aunt amy despises the rest of us, so her children being traumatized was just the excuse she was looking for.
last year for thanksgiving, we didn't even make any homemade food. we got it from chik fil a. and don't get me wrong, i do like chik fil a, but it doesn't compare to the delicious food my grandmother and mother make. mashed potatoes made from scratch, delicious baked turkey, ham, stuffing, homemade gravy, and about 10 pies of different flavors.
i used to love thanksgiving more than i liked christmas, especially in the later years, when my christmas list was full of things my grandparents didn't understand and i just got calendars, money, and socks.
i guess this is growing up. it sucks.

Google knows it. Viacom knows it. The Chamber of Commerce knows it. Internet democracy groups know it. BoingBoing knows it. But, the Internet hasn’t been told yet — we’re going to get blown away by the end of the year. The worst bill in Internet history is about to become law. Law is very real here in the United States and legal language is often different than stated intentions — this law would give government and corporations the power to block sites like BoingBoing over infringing links on at least one webpage posted by their users. Believe the EFF, Public Knowledge, Google when they say this bill is about much more than copyright, it’s about the Internet and free speech everywhere.
The MPAA, RIAA, Hollywood knows that they have been flying in CEOs of as many companies as possible, recruiting people to get petition signups at malls in California, and here’s the big point— they know they have gotten their message through to Congress — the worst bill in Internet history, the one where government and their corporations get unbelievable power to take down sites, threaten payment processors into stopping payment to sites on a blacklist, and throw people in jail for posting ordinary content is about to pass before the end of this year. The only thing that is going to stop Hollywood from owning the Internet and everything we do, is if there is a big surprise Internet backlash starting right now.
PROTECT IP (S. 968)/SOPA (HR. 3261) creates the first system for Internet censorship - this bill has sweeping provisions that give the government and corporations leeway and legal cover for taking down sites “by accident,” mistakenly, or for NOT doing “enough” to protect the interests of Hollywood. These bills that are moving very quickly through Congress and can pass before Christmas aim to give the US government and corporations the ability to block sites over infringing links posted by their users and give ISPs the release to take any means to block peoples’ sites, including slowing down your connection. That’s right, some say this bill is a workaround to net neutrality and is bigger than net neutrality.
This is the worst piece of Internet legislation in history - the lawmakers who have been sponsoring (Leahy, Lamar Smith, Conyers) this bill need to be shamed by the Internet community for wasting taxpayer dollars on a bill that would break the very fabric of the Internet, create an Internet blacklist, kill jobs and great startup companies, huge blogs, and social networks.

Posted 14 years agoi'm sorry but i can't get along with people because i seem to the be the only one who sees fault in everything they do. people are a fucking plague; and yet its the rats and so-called vermin who get the short end of the fucking stick. people just don't fucking care. if it isn't a dog, or a cat, they don't give a fucking shit. and i'd just like to know how people can look at one form of life and deem it more important than another. how can anyone fucking do that?
i have a great aunt that lives in west virginia.
once when i was younger i went to visit her with my mom and my grandmother.
i remember walking up to her house and seeing a little golden retriever puppy outside of her house.
it was dirty, underfed, and it was covered with flies. had i gotten closer, i probably would have seen it was covered in fleas as well.
we went into my aunt's house and there was a pug. a full grown female pug. she was well-groomed, had been fixed, and was happy and parasite free.
my mom asked about the golden retriever puppy outside.
my aunt replied that people had been stealing their stuff in the night, and she got the dog to guard the place.
then her son came in with a laundry basket and a field mouse he had caught. he said it was acting funny. my aunt said that the parasite repellers were probably messing up its brain. she poked it in the head. it didn't move. it just stood there looking dazed.
i walked out of the house, as my aunt told her son to go and squash the mouse on the porch.
now some of you might say that was just my family. some of you might say that it was nothing.
and some of you might be fucking cunts.
that mouse. that puppy. those are fucking LIVES. and to me, A LIFE. IS. A LIFE.
live-feeding your snake is fucking cruelty. PLAIN. AND. SIMPLE. if anything, it is dangerous to the goddamn snake. rats can, have, and will inevitably kill a fucking snake. and what will be that rat's reward for overcoming a dangerous predator? probably will be crushed beneath a boot.
how can you fucking people call yourself a furry? when a rat is 'just food' to you? well a snake is 'just food' to something else. and you are 'just food' to a lion or bear. so that sort of logic doesn't fucking pan out for me.
there is NO EXCUSE that you can give me that will make me okay with this. ever. there is nothing that anyone can say that will convince me that this barbaric and unnecessary practice is okay. so don't even fucking try. and if you think that it's okay, well unfuckingwatch me this instant. i don't want you people enjoying the pictures i post of my babies. those fucking rats are my PETS and you would all flip your shit if people were feeding chihuahuas or kittens to a python.
i'm just done. i wash my hands of people.
