If in my whole life I would be limited to only recommend 1 film – just ONE – then my choice would be:
Pope Francis – A Man of His Word
(Franziskus – Ein Mann seines Wortes)
I went to watch it with ZERO expectations.
(If you want do the very same, then stop reading now and please watch it yourself.)
I was an Atheist, and I still am.
However … I recommend every single human being (or Therian, if you may) on earth, regardless of their religion and denomination – atheists alike, to listen, what this man has to say. He talks about many things, which should concern us all.
If you are not catholic, then do not listen to him, because he is the pope.
Just listen, what the human Jorge Mario Bergoglio has to say, and understand the meaning behind his words.
I do not claim, that he is a visonary.
To me, he is a teacher, a wise philosopher, and a confirmed do-gooder.
I know one thing: This man has his heart in the the right place and the power to change things – in all of us.
I think, the world needs more Francis’.
If you think similarly after watching this film, please recommend it to your friends and peers.

Posted 7 years agoBefore this May, I was more or less absent for a long long time and didn't partake much around here.
While I am sure, you all did pretty well without me, it really feels good to get more invested in this great fandom again and share as well as enjoy all this great content again.
I am also a bit disappointed about the banning that took place on different furry art and social platforms, but that doesn't outweigh how I feel about the fandom as a whole, because there is so much giving and taking happening and most of the people turn out to be really friendly and helping.
I might address that banning issue at another point.
Right now, I've surpassed 256 watchers AND 256 submission (and I'm a huge IT nerd, so that means something to me^^) and I am closing in on my 10.000 pageview mark.
I want thank all of you for your awesome support, for maybe making me a better person, helping me advance in my life and for being so inviting and accepting all this time.
I can not thank you enough. (YOU! Yes, I mean YOU!)
You can expect to hear a Thank You song from me very soon, where I will (try) to mention all of you, who supported me on this journey.

Posted 7 years agoI rarely disclose any political issues here, and this is nothing new.
But I think it's enough, that I cannot ignore it, anymore.
... and if one day, I am not here on FA anymore ... I hope to see many of you guys again in the future ... somewhere.
I'm just saying this, because I've lost trust in a few things lately.
FA, for me - and assumingly the majority here - has always been more than a place, where you can get your commissions going, watching awesome art and music, role-play and furry getting news.
It's been a place where I felt welcome, found a healthy and helpful community and made quite a few friends over the years.
Though it still is to a degree, and I'm trying to keep it that way - we've encountered some hardships lately. We are experiencing them right now.

Would please someone have pity with me and please tell me, why my lastest Parody of Status Quo's "In The Army Now" seems to put off so many of you?

It's weird! I can watch the view-counter go up by the hour, but no ony cares about faving or commenting. Well, sorry, my faithful polish canine przyjacielI. I meant almost no one. :3
But neither of us is an english native speaker. But I had it pre-read by one.
So my point here is: Are there any words or expressions that are clearly too offensive and/or insulting? (I won't mention them here because the submission is rated as mature content.) Has any of my jokes/puns gone bad in consequence?
Or was it just the topic? I mean, I know that probably the majority of the fandom (including me) has homosexual tendencies, but could that the reason why?
Or was it the point of view? Is that song too negative or discouraging?
I was really just going for some laughs and amusement or an approving smile from those who already went through this.

About beliefs
Posted 14 years agoDisclaimer: If you aren't openminded, you probably shouldn't read this.
These are my opinions! I don't demand that you approve them, but to respect them.
It was half a year ago, when I got quite busy with thinking about religion, god, and such.
And I'll start here with the conclusion first: It was a waste of time for me.
How did I come to this?
Well, other than pondering if I believe in a god, I took a different attemp: What I was sure that I disbelieve in. And there are 3 major things concerning this matter:
1) There is no judgement after one dies, meaning that there is no hell, no (place of) punishment. Especially not for not believing in any god, jehova, Allah, Buddha, or whichever diety.
2) There is no one above who is helping of forgiving me in any matter or situation of my life. Everyone is fully responsible for oneself and every action he/she does.
3) There will be no eternal life in that form that one's deceased ancestors will be watching one from above or hear any prayers.
Note: Those are things that I, and only I, believe or disbelieve in! I don't want to force ANYONE to believe or disbelieve anything! I just encourage everyone, to think about it, but of course not too much, hence my conclusion stated above. To think about whether religion is important to oneself or not.
So? I'm neither an physicist nor a biologist, which would force me to think about evolution or creation.
That said, there is no need for me to agonize over it. Shall others wrack their brains about those questions. I'll concentrate on the things that are important to me and the ppl in my sphere of influence.
I wouldn't really call myself an Atheist, not exactly. Atheists believe that there is no god, which I can't disprove. Neither am I a real agnostic, because that would mean that I would care.
I'd maybe call myself an agnostic atheist, who doesn't care anymore. I'm not following any religious belief or book. ...although I'm thinking about joining the Pastafarians.
The absence of a hell doesn't mean that I will do whatever I want, committing crime or such. Or with simple words: Living without morals. I DO care a lot about what's right or wrong. But I won't pray for forgiving. We have to forgive each other, and most importantly, ourselves.

What true friendship means to me

A friend is someone, I'd share a meal with without hesitating. (meal stands figuratively for many things)
A friend should be someone, I share at least one interest with.
A friend is someone, who would stand by me if I get in trouble/sick or just in depression. (and vice versa, of course. This is most important!)
A friend is someone, I can trust.
A friend is someone, who is able to listen and who i can talk about life, share expieriences etc.
A friend is someone, I wouldn't forget, even if we get seperated for years.
A friend is someone, who I can forgive, and I would always leave a "bridge of reconcillation" after a conflict.
A friend is a person who comes and won't judge a flower by its color.
A person who will never give up on you.
A person who will comfort you when storms of tears are in your mind.
A person who will just have some fun with you and give you a good laugh.'
A person that doesn't mind expressing their happy or sad feelings to you.

"Nobody is perfect!" - Everybody can (and prolly will) make a mistake now and then.
"There ain't just black and white" - ... and friend or not friend. There always is some finer gradation and a process of becoming friends.
And a friend is certainly not what you gain, when you click on "+friend" in any social network, or any stranger who asks "Can we be friends, pleeez?"
Feel free to discuss.

Posted 14 years agoA 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a slut, no one knows she was raped at 13.
People call another Guy fat, No one knows he has a serious disease causing him to be overweight .
People call an old man ugly, No one knew he had a serious injury to his face while fighting for our country in the war.
Repost this if you are against bullying and stereotyping. I bet 95% of you won't.
Copy and paste on a new journal entry if you are against bullying and profiling.

A friend of mine has been to the UK lately and showed my a funny picture he took on his trip.
There was a hampen little string hanging on a sign which in fact was a quite primitive weather gauge. It looked like this:

My first Fur-Meet
Posted 16 years agoYes. I finally met the first furries IRL. It was a nice, furry new years eve party not far from where I live. We were about 25 people and we all had a ball.
I was dancing, drinking, headbanging and chatting all night and I even met the first fursuiter in my life. It was
jariswolf...and I didn't miss the opportunity to hug him^^. In fact there were more fursuiters, but they didn't take their suits to the meeting.
There also was a little quiz which I attended to and I came in second^^.
I really had a nice time that night and it most certainly won't be my last fur-meet. So I'm looking forward to meet some more of the european furries at the EF16 this year. :D
