I don't really keep resolutions, but I do have some stuff I want to get done this year. Get a job being the biggest. Got at least 3 cons I want to go to this year: Texas Furry Fiesta, Gateway Fur Meet and Midwest Fur Fest (maybe, and if not, then Anthro South East).
Hope everyone has a great year! You have any resolutions this year? Or goals/stuff you're looking forward to?

Posted 9 years agoI just want to tell everyone happy new year! For me, 2016 was a great year ^^; I got my fursuit, I got to go to a lot of great events, met a lot of great people, and made some great friendships! You made this year great, guys and I look forward to all the adventures of 2017.
IFC 2016 In Review
Posted 9 years agoNot sure where to start so I'll go day-by-day I guess.
-THURSDAY-
Left home about 2pm to pick up mi amigo future4 and head up to Indiana. It was about a 5 to 6 hour drive in total due to traffic in Louisville getting us stuck for a bit. But it was a chill ride all-in-all. The car I was driving lacked a Aux port and Future was unable to bring his Tape player adapter, so we had limited music for the ride there and back. Listened to one Green Day album 3 times, a Sum 41 album twice, and a Fun. album once. It's all I had in the car =P
Got to the hotel and checked in with no problem. The hotel staff was really nice, and was awesome throughout the whole weekend. Ate dinner at Cracker Barrel, I got pancakes. Was so full, but worth it. Didn't help we got there an hour before it closed so I felt like I had to hurry to eat, even tho we still had 20 minutes to spare at the end of the meal.
I didn't fursuit at all on Thursday, which I mildly regret, but didn't want to get my suit sweaty too early in the weekend.
-FRIDAY-
The day started with tornado sirens. A great start to any con! The weather was cleared up after breakfast, and we went to pick up
sikuwolfy at the airport and his friend. Did some suiting, had fun. I took a nap in the afternoon, which I usually would not do at a fur-con. At my first con, Fangcon, I pushed myself so much to do as much as possible, it was weird to stop and take a nap at this con.
-SATURDAY-
The big, main day of any convention. I did the fursuit group photo and the parade. The photo was hot and miserable. Took like 5 minutes of standing still in a room of 280 fursuiters. I'm barely visible in the picture at all. I got stuck behind some tall guys. But once the parade got started, it was fun. Was disappointing the parade was held only inside due to the weather.
I didn't do the dance since I'm not much of a dancer. The atmosphere was way more party-ish then Fangcon was. I retreated to my room when things got too much for this doggo to handle. Had a nice time hanging in the room with Siku, Future and
iiiix. With a bunch of talk about classic video games I couldn't contribute much to the conversation, but it was still nice.
-SUNDAY-
Quite a fun day. I participated in some Fursuit nerf-gun wars. I only lasted one round, but got too warm and it was too hard to move around and see well in suit. Next year, I want to try it again, but out of suit. I might actually be able to play the game. I didn't participate in the fursuit games, as I was so tired of sweating. I took some nice pics of it tho, finally putting my new camera to good use. I'll post some of the usable pics on twitter and my facebook.
Watched Siku's motivational panel. It was nice and sweet; he did a great job. Soon after I had to pack up and leave the convention for the trip back home. I hate saying goodbye to anyone, be it friends or family. Just gotta remind myself it isn't goodbye, it's just see you later. I'll see some peeps again at Fangcon in a few months.
Got home at about 10pm. Slept insanely well.
IN SUMMARY! (aka: tl;dr)
Had a lot of fun, had some great experiences. Would do again. So far, very little Post-Con Depression. More excited for things to come.
Favorite moment: Hanging out in the room saturday night while too much partying and drinking went on elsewhere.
Least fav. moment: Fursuit group photo.
Can't wait for Fangcon!

Making a Q & A YouTube Video This Week
Posted 9 years agoI've been really itching to make a youtube video and put up a poll on my twitter asking what people wanted to see. The options were (1) A "suit-up" video, (2) A Q&A, and (3) an Improv video of some kind. It looks like Improv and Q&A videos tied, but I decided I'm probably going to do all 3 over the next week or two.
So that brings me to this: I actually need questions to answer for a Q&A video. Although I know I don't have a big following by any means, hopefully I can accumulate enough questions for one video. I feel like I'm a quiet person and don't give much information about myself unless you're one of my friends I talk to on a near daily basis.
So send me your questions! You can either leave a comment below, or send me a note. I'll only choose to answer questions that are sfw so don't bother asking anything like that (this isn't a TMI video). And yes, you are able to ask multiple questions.

Started Doing Some Streaming
Posted 10 years agoHey! Last week, I tried streaming art for the first time. It was pretty successful except for the two Blue Screen of Deaths, but the second stream on Saturday was a lot better.

Fangcon Journal!
Posted 10 years agoHeyo! I got back from my first furry convention, Fangcon, Sunday night. It was great fun, met a lot of poeple, and got experience cool things! Here's a play-by-play on what all went down!
-FRIDAY-
Me and my friend future4 left here at about 2:30pm (central time). We wanted to leave earlier, but a few delays on my part and a few road closings made me a bit late. This was, honestly, my first time driving such a long distance myself at one time. I'm used to 2 hour drives on highways (something I do simi-often), but to drive 3.5 hours on the interstate through a major city was quiet the experience. Somewhat daunting, I must admit, but it went smoothly, thank goodness. We got there at about 8pm (eastern time).
We got to the hotel and met up with the other local furs who made it there,
dusty33 
desufnoc and 
bluedragon019. We went out to eat at a good pizza place in downtown knoxville. We got back, walked around a bit, familiarizing ourselves with the con layout (was much smaller than I expected; I thought it'd be pretty big, but was just one hallway really). My first memorable con experience was playing Cards Against Humanity with a group of furries, fursuiters, and drunk people (isn't that everyone's con experience?). I finally went to sleep at around 3am.
-SATURDAY-
The fun day! Woke up at like 9:45. We started off hunting down breakfast. The hotel restaurant was really expensive for breakfast (13.00 for the buffet), so I just opted to eat the the little coffee shop they had set up instead. Had serial and an iced late. After, we went into the dealer's den and checked that out. I commissioned a badge from a really talented artists there. I was hoping the badge would be done before the end of the con, but the amount of people who commissioned her was so high, it'll have to be mailed to me when it's done. After, I decided to go talk to
CityMuttFursuits and was able to rent a fursuit during the fursuit parade. I've tried on a fursuit head before, but this was my first time trying one on and being able to walk around and interact with people. It was a great experience and boosted my confidence about having a suit of my own in the near future.
We went out to eat again at the Downtown Brewery where I got a badass Philly Cheese Steak sandwich.
I attended the dance/rave for a short while. It was visually impressive but it just wasn't really my thing. Not only do I not care for that kind of music (it doesn't move me at all), I feel awkward dancing but I feel awkward not dancing. I eventually hung out with some friends in a room where we got shit-faced drunk... no we didn't, I'm just making sure you're still reading. I dont drink :P (even if I was of age (I'm 20 (turn 21 in december)))
-SUNDAY-
Sunday started out really quiet. Ate breakfast and drank coffee at the same coffee shop we did the day before. I hung out in the board game room for a few hours. I played a game called Kingdom Builder which I sucked at :P Board games really aren't my cup of tea. We really didn't do much until we went out to eat. Ate at NotWatsons, which was decent. I got what was called The Pretty Hot Burger, which had jalapenos, cayenne sauce, Cajun spices; but it really wasn't all that hot sadly, but still a good burger and some awesome french fries (if you like your fries crunchy and well cooked to the point of caramelisation).
The highlight of the day was the fursuit games which took place soon after the closing ceremonies (where we got plushies thrown at us). They were hilarious to watch. We had to leave right after the games were over (7:30pm). It was a smooth drive home. I got back at around 10:30pm and didnt stay up very long before going to bed.
I met a lot of new people, strengthened acquaintances, and strengthened friendships over the weekend. I learned new things and got to experience some cool stuff. Downtown Knoxville is beautiful. I'd love to visit again. I'm not sure if I'll be at next year's Fangcon, even though I had fun, I have to pick and choose which cons to go to since money doesn't grow on trees. I think next year I'll look into going to FurReality or something since a lot of people I know or met go there, and maybe I can continue to strengthen friendships there. I think my next possible con will be FWA if all goes as planned. That's a much bigger con and there are a few people who are going to be there that I would really like to meet. It's really all a question about finances and if it's possible for me to afford to go down there. I'd love to but we'll have to see. Anthrocon is also on the agenda, but again, it's all up to how much money I have to spend for cons to determine if I get to go next year. But until then, I'm happy I met so many people so far and look forward to the things to come!

Going to my first Fur Con
Posted 10 years agoWelp, I'll be gone this weekend. Going to Fangcon with future4 for our first furry convention.
Very excited! Hopefully this will be the first of many. We'll be getting there on Friday evening and staying until Sunday afternoon/evening. Would love to stay the entire time, but, you know... college... classes. :P
I'll post another journal when I get back on Sunday or on Monday if I'm too tired on Sunday.

Back to School
Posted 10 years agoWelp, it's that time of year again. The time where my free time gets cut down to almost nothing and I have to focus on the joys of education again. I am working on a number of projects including 2 stories and a handful of art pieces. They will hopefully be done in a timely manner but don't hold your breath (as if you were anyway :P )
There's a lot going on community-wise; including a number of meets and an upcoming convention (my first con to be exact). I'll be posting stuff about that on my twitter, so if you aren't already, go follow me at FixionTweets and I'll follow you back (provided you're twitter feed is generally sfw).
