For some reason I was in the mood to organize things so I went back about...10~ pages into my gallery and organized stuff into folders based on my characters, official franchises (pokemon etc) and common fetish/themes that pop up. I'm not going to do my whole gallery because that is 2000+ images and 9 years of stuff to go through which...screw that, no one is looking back that far on my crap. :V

Also was wondering if I should start doing sketch dump submissions again? I dunno how many of you guys are following my tumblr or twitter which is where I tend to post my sketches and unfinished things onto, but I'm also not sure how many would be interested in dumps of those sketches! Just wondering.

My birthday is this Sunday on the 20th. Going to be 27, can't believe I'm getting this damn old. Feels like it was just yesterday when I was shitposting on DeviantART about shitty Sonic fan characters and plz account icons ruining my life. I dunno, already splurged on myself and excused it by saying they're birthday gifts for me. SHRUG.

Art wise, been slacking a bit lately. I went to a con a few weeks ago, came back exhausted of course, and then caught a cold or some sort of concrud, then started otherwise feeling crappy. Just generally haven't felt like drawing because of all that, but I'll slowly get back into it as I always do. So just a general sorry for slowness regarding that.

Other random things hmm. Starting to get back into playing GB/GBA games lately. Bought a few at the con, got a GBA-SP and some other games as well. Gonna get my old games mailed over here, excited to get my old copies of Pokemon GSC back so we can replace the batteries and I can play them again. Been trying to play through Golden Sun again but I forgot how damn slow it was to start off. :c Though I'm not sure how far I'll get into it with other games like Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Payday 2 and other games distracting me. It'll be worse once Happy Home Designer comes out haha. TOO MANY GAMES SO LITTLE TIME.

Not much else going on that I can think of. Hope everyone's doing well!

So ritty (my husbando) and I have secured an apartment just a few miles down the road from our current place and we're pretty busy with the process of moving right now. We have a ton of belongings to move as well as a lot of furniture to build (praise our lord IKEA). It also doesn't help that we brought home several bags of junk from our trip to sea side arcades last week (I got a Hell's Kitchen apron set and a dancing cat). So yeah we are quite pre-occupied with that matter right now.

Since that is eating up a bunch of my time it's also encroaching on my art production too, which is kinda shit because right now is a good time for me to try to get back some of the money I just dumped via commissions, but at the same time I don't want to get into the habit of making people wait a long ass time for their art from me again. I used to be pretty bad for doing that and I'd rather not fall back into it after improving my time so much lately.

Another issue is the decent ISP we want to get for our apartment's estimated time to set up internet connection in the apartment is in July, a month from now. So that kinda fucks up doing art streams or having decent communication for commissions, since if I decided to move over from my current place asap then I'd have to rely solely on my phone for internet things. Granted, our mobile company has a "all you can eat data plan" for £5 a month which is fine, BUT we don't have any phone tethering by default, and the one tethering plan is restricted to 1gb a month, which is mostly useless. We're trying to get the ISP to just give us the kit needed to install everything since Ritty can do that himself but eh. There's another ISP that will install immediately but they are faaaar slower at the same price, but if worst comes to worst I guess we have that option?

So I dunno, if I'm without proper internet access for a while I might just do some "pay what you want" sketches to fill up the time, since those are meant to be done really quick and without sending any previews. Makes it easier to just get the descriptions and refs, draw it on the pc, move the image over to the phone's sd card and then post it. Trying to do full commissions only over a phone for communication would be pretty crap, sending over several previews and trying to do requested changes would take way longer. So I dunno, might just go with the PWYW thing and hope it works out. Might not since a lot of my commissions come over stream but trying something won't hurt at the same time.

Wow I typed way more than is necessary. TL;DR I'm moving, it's eating up my time, less art production, possible lack of internet connection, might do quick PWYW stuff!

Unrelated but there's been a few people asking me to play Splatoon. I do not own Splatoon, the Wii U in this house is not mine and we are not taking it in our move. I really do want to play so I'll consider getting a Wii U at a later date, depending if people are still playing the game in a few months I guess!

Posting this mostly to bump down the birthday journal. I'm so bad at making journals nowadays :V I don't have a lot to say that isn't verbal fart noises. Uhh random updates:

Gonna try to start grinding on my commissions again, I've had a bit of a slowdown lately. Having a hard time focusing to start with sucks, then add really bad distracting tinnitus in one ear then you got a world of spacing out. I was gonna try to set up some pay-what-you-want stuff but I'm not sure when I'll try that now. Might get pushed back for me to work on normal owed work, or might get pushed ahead so I can do smaller stuff to get my motor going. It is a mystery. And likely once I get my art going again I'll start streaming again. Though big thanks to all the people that commissioned me recently or were in my streams, ya'll are great!

VIDEO GAMES. I bought Smash 4 3DS and Payday 2: Electric Boogaloo. I'm really bad at Smash 4 but I love playing as Villager. Fucker picks up tornados, what a mad man. I'm also really bad at Payday 2 but I have a lot of fun with it. Maybe one day I'll git good at games that aren't Brawl or Puyo Pop Fever :T

Made it here in the U.K. with my fiance safely, despite a bunch of bullshit happening on the journey.

Here's a summary:

We were supposed to go from the local airport in my home city to Chicago, and then Chicago to Dublin and then finally to Birmingham. However, the flight to Chicago kept getting delayed to the point that we would have missed our flight to Dublin (in fact we saw the AerLingus plane take off just as we were getting to Chicago). The people at the desk tried to help and put us on a flight to Munich that would go to Birmingham. One problem: that flight to Munich DID NOT EXIST. So they had to pull that and put us on a plane from Chicago to London. Okay, whatever, we got there eventually.

We then had to take the London Underground tube network from Heathrow to Leicester Square which had no elevators so we had to lug a good 100+ pounds of luggage between the two of us up a bunch of flights of stairs. We then had to take the tubes to Euston and then caught a few trains to Birmingham and eventually made it home intact.

The easiest part of the journey? The border patrol check in point. Usually that's one of the hardest parts for me since the border patrol officer tends to play 20 questions with me despite the fact I have like 7-8 stamps into the country already lmfao. But since I had a visa sticker, they let me in easily. Our conversation with the officer was just about people losing their fingers/hands for finger prints since they required two of my finger prints at the desk.

So yea, I'm here and safe! Thanks for everyone's well wishes regarding the trip. I'm sort of unpacked now, will be unpacking more throughout the week (mostly finding space for all my toys).

I am currently in the midst of moving to the U.K. with my fiance. Because of this, I might be a bit hard to get in contact with for a while. I'm gonna be tired and busy packing/unpacking. There's also a big time zone change (+6 hours from where I usually am), so general contact might be a bit iffy.

Just trying to move on with my life. Trying to disconnect further from drama and such.

Art output will also be low until we're done unpacking and stuff. I'm also going to be increasing my commission prices slightly because I'm undercharging in the first place and everything in the U.K. is much more expensive, so I need to adjust to that.

Hoping to meet some new friends in the U.K. and try to head to some conventions (MCM London is likely, maybe a furcon too!).

Hi buddies!

Just a few general updates from me.

Going to be moving in mid January to the U.K. finally. My fiance is gonna come here for a week and then we'll leave together. I'm gonna miss my dad, my ferrets and some food joints here but that's about it. It's gonna be weird to live with no pets, since I've had at least one pet all my life. Here's hoping I don't get too homesick!

Right now me and my dad are sick with a seasonal cold or flu. Non-stop coughing action. Good times had by all.

Regarding commissions, I'm kind of...semi-open? But only for sketches. Lost my groove for a while so I'm sticking to things I can get out real quick.

I'm a Director over at Weasyl, and we had a huge boom in activity over the past week. I wanna personally thank those who're using the site and giving it a chance. It's been pretty fun interacting with people on twitter about it.

We have a few third party tools available for those making a migration. There's a crossposter available as well as a tool that checks your FA watch list and gives you matching accounts for Weasyl. They're pretty nifty IMO.

I personally am still going to be using all the artsites I currently post to. DA, FA, Weasyl and Tumblr. I don't mind taking the time to crosspost to all the sites I use.

I was able to get AC:NL, and I actually started playing after about 6 hours of reseting my town, trying to get Bob as a villager (to no avail). Nothing much to report yet except my native fruit is Peaches and I've donated a bunch to the museum.

As for what I've been up to!

I just got home from England again after visiting there for a month. I went to MCM Expo in London which was fun, my first ever convention! I didn't get a whole lot at the convention, because it was mostly bootleg toys and such :c I'm still hoping to move to the UK towards the end of this year or beginning of next year at the earliest.

Um, not a whole lot else. I'm still collecting far too many Pokemon toys, still drawing infrequently, still working on Weasyl things! Still the same lame boring grosso, sorry ya'll.

Just thinking too much.

I've been a bit disappointed lately that it looks like what fanbase I had on deviantART has vanished. No comments etc. I started wondering why that happened. I might be wrong here, but I'm figuring it's because I am no longer drawing things related to the Sonic fandom, whether that is the characters themselves or, later on, making comics and drawings making fun of people within the fandom.

Then I thought about it some more and I think I can finally put into words why I can no longer stand the Sonic fandom and why I am glad why I got out of it:

It's toxic.

It is terribly, terribly toxic. In the art and fan-character site of the fandom, people don't really seem to be fans of the series itself; they are fans of themselves and their fan character(s). They think they are the shit, that they are fucking awesome, and it's all about them. They make "friends", they do art trades with them, draw fanart for them, and then turn around and bitch about that said friend to their other "friends", who also bitch about each other. Everyone sucks and they are the best! Gotta draw fanart of this character so I can get more pageviews, even though I think that person is a fucking SLUT because their fancharacter has big tits so that means the character is a SLUT, and characters are always exactly the same as their creators, right?

Just an endless chain of dick-wagging, back-stabbing and stagnation, and oh god, I did so many of those fucking things, it's just GROSS.

So yes, no shit, I had an ego back then. I do not need to tell people this but I'll admit it anyway. I thought I was awesome, that my bad art was awesome, and that everyone else sucked because they did mild shit that irritated me. So I just yelled at everyone and messed with them and made it my career to be a gigantic asshole to people. This didn't apply to just Sonic fandom people either, it applied to furries and random folk off livejournal etc.

And...people liked that, obviously? Originally I thought it was because "yes these people agree that I am awesome" and that "I'm just saying shit they're scared to say" and stuff like that.

I don't know what it really was, I'm assuming, judging from the other patterns displayed above, they just liked seeing me be an asshole to other assholes, and that they didn't like me that much and thought I was just a lame asshole as well (because they are truly the best, you see).

Now note that I am not blaming the entirety of me being an asshole on Sonic fans, I of course contributed to some of it on my own! And I'm sure other fandoms have the same kind of toxicity going on with them, but I feel the Sonic fandom helped bring out all those shitty qualities of me while I was at a younger age (14-19?) where I was more influenced by these things.

Basically, if this is the kind of thing that originally got me comments and such on deviantART, instead of people genuinely caring about me or my art, then I'd rather it be gone. I'd rather not keep the cycle going just for more attention. I may be sad that I am no longer much of a "thing" but it is a good thing at the same time.

All of the above is glad why I got out of it, even if it took me a while to shake off all of those old habits. I know I display some of them still, I get snappy and irritated on tumblr/twitter and such. However, now that I have more positive things to put my energy towards (such as developing my characters, working on Weasyl, etc.), that I'll cool off for the most part on that kind of thing.

So, hey, I completely understand that people may be hesitant to do things like join Weasyl because they had a bad experience with me in the past, or saw me acting a fool otherwise. I certainly was a little shit, no denying that, and I'm sorry. I apologize to the people I messed with for little reason and to those I over-reacted towards whether either party was "right".

However, at the same time, when people go on and on about me being a gigantic bitch but can only cite things that happened ages ago (if they cite anything at all), it's funny and gives me an ego boost. If that is all you can complain about me TODAY is something I did maybe 5 years ago that doesn't currently reflect who I am? Then that is kind of good for me. Yea, it's insulting, but if that's all it is, then that means I'm on the right track to not being such a shithead. All you are doing is making me feel better, so that is my official response on that whole thing. If it is a more recent thing, then yea, you have valid reason to call me a bitch. Though you can also try talking to me about it too!

And to the people who have followed me around off the edge of the Earth (even if you did so silently), despite all of that shit I did above, then thanks. It means a lot. You have kept me going for so long and I really do appreciate it.
