So, it’s me, your local shapeshifter and uh… I’m coming to the realization that I really REALLY like being referred as they/them. Mainly because I’m 2 people and it’s a good way to express both sides of me, but Ezek is considering being non-binary too as they don’t have a gender to begin with, so yeah. Fjorzek’s they/them.
I’m going to give it a few days before I update the posts that have me listed as he/him, but there’s nothing wrong with referring to me as a he, I just kinda want to be referred as them now.

There’s a shitload of stuff I need to upload, but chances are hardly any will. But I have updated the posts “Prideful Deernaga” and “HERE HE COMES!” as they have now been colored. I could make a new post, but I just wanted to make things easier and edit the pre-existing ones.
However, much more importantly, I have updated the journal for Garein with lots of new info, as some of my friends have been making their own Garian OCs which I am absolutely stoked to see. I know last time I asked about changing it pretty much everybody said no, but this time I feel it’s serious as I’m no longer comfortable with having it as I’ll explain below.

So, my Scrib pfp doing the Dingus Dance for Pringus McDingus’es Dingus Day has been my pfp on a lot of my social media accounts for years now. It’s been very popular from its dorky stupidity and I’m glad you all like it. But since it’s at least 2 years old I’ve gotten bored of it and want to move on, but the more important thing, and also the reason I stopped doing Scribs… It’s traced

When I saw the whole tweet about entering for PMcD’s video I also assumed he wanted it in his dorky style, and since I wasn’t that skilled at the time I blindly went ahead and traced the base. I was the only person in the video to mimic his style and I feel uncomfortable and a tad guilty about that. Then I started making a whole artstyle around that traced drawing while pushing away the thought that I’m copying his style for my own use without his permission. Whether he’s okay with that or not is unknown to me, heck he likely hasn’t even seen the others, but I still feel very uncomfortable with the face of my account being an artwork I traced off of somebody else.

I have a few candidates as my new pfp and I’ll be switching around between them for a while before I settle on which one’s best. I hope you understand this change as once again, I know a lot of you vouched for it to stay, but I simply can’t let it be my icon anymore. I will still be keeping the other Scribs up so don’t worry about those vanishing too.

I have a boyfriend. As in not a character I own like Talift, but an actual (online) friend who’s had a crush on me for months as an official online boyfriend. We’ve been dating for about a week now and I think it’s safe to come out about it because we do really love each other quite a bit.

As for Talift and Fjorzek, don’t worry, they’re still dating too. I know a lot of you really like Talift and Fjorzek together (one of you in particular would probably go feral if they split), so Thea and I agreed on a threesome. So Fjorzek’s dating both Thea and Talift. I’m still adjusting to that, but it’s the best option I have.
But yeah, expect some more stuff of me and Thea together~ Love him to the end of the Earth~

I feel it’s about time I explained what Garein is. As the majority of my characters originate there. So enjoy! Questions and suggestions are appreciated.

Summary
Garein is a wacky modern world taking place 40 years ahead of our own where the majority of people are some kind of crazy fetish. We’re talking about piñatas who love being destroyed, people with bombs for lower bodies, digital people who live within phones and computers, living graffitis, the list goes on forever. Any species, any material, any object, absolutely ANYTHING is possible here.
Naturally, when there’s so many people of so many types, it’s quite commonplace to be weird, and society has adapted to fit people of all kinds. Restaurants and stores offering flavored air, stuffing, and other forms of nourishment for living toys and materials. Plenty of jobs have adjusted and improved with new kinds of people making things even easier. Are you a macro looking to help better your city? Come join us with construction! Can’t stop swelling up with berry juice? Provide your juices to your local smoothie store! Been a walking bouncy castle your whole life? The daycare would love having you help entertain the kids! There’s something for everyone to do and enjoy.
Most are born the way they are, but about 1 out of 6 children transform when going through puberty. Their new form is usually based on their inner desires, even if they aren’t aware of them. Puberty shifts aren’t always right when puberty hits though. You can have started puberty when you were 12 but not shift until you’re 19. However, when you do shift, it will gradually occur over the course of 1 week to 2 months, depending on genetics and what you’re becoming.
People in Garein regenerate naturally. The time it takes for one to regen depends on the circumstances. Usually, it’s how close together their remains are. However, death by old age and other specific situations are still a thing.

History
Garein was initially a world just like ours, but around the age of the Egyptians, the sheer faith of anthropomorphic animal gods led to the creation of anthro animals as mortal beings all across the globe.
For a long time, humans and anthros co-existed in harmony. Though mainly because the anthros accepted themselves as servants and a lesser species to humans. Around the time of the Enlightenment however, anthros began to step up and demand rights of their own as regular people and not the beastly slaves the humans saw them as, but to little avail. Much time passes, and not much has changed. Anthros are still treated as lesser beings, and while some humans treated them as equals, the majority thought otherwise.
Though things got a bit extreme in the 1960s, as humans across the globe banded together to form a serum that would turn all anthros into lifeless toys and objects, in hopes to wipe out their kind completely and sell them off as playthings for children. Their plan severely backfired however. The serum was rushed once certain global factions began catching on that something was up. As a result, they didn’t have time to test how it would work airborne, nor the effect it would have on humans.
On August 14th, 1966, they unleashed colossal amounts of serum into the atmosphere. While a large chunk of anthros were completely unaffected, the ones that were didn’t transform into lifeless toys, they became living ones, remaining anthropomorphic and just as alive as before. On the contrary, the mass exposure to the serum proved far more dangerous on humans, transforming them as well into anthros and toys, a large amount even left for inanimate. Not even a week later, the human race had been completely eliminated, many grieving and even more struggling to adjust to their new bodies. This historical tragedy is now collectively referred to as “The Great Mistake”.
Once the dust had settled, society as a whole was gradually reworked to adjust to this drastic new change. Governments were tweaked, some given a complete overhaul. Accepting diversity and allowing every kind of person to thrive became the core principle of Garein, and the planet has remained in a state of peace for quite some time.

Regions
Since Garein was once the same as Earth, it is mostly the same in terms of geography. There are still a few notable differences in terrain, names, culture, and a couple new islands too.
For starters the US has been renamed to Arderna, and the capital, formerly Washington DC, was expanded to merge with Maryland and reworked from the ground up alongside a new government, now renamed to Noren, the new capital of Arderna (PS: This is where the majority of my Garian OCs reside).
Another notable difference to Arderna, a large chunk of the West has broken off and floated off to become its own island when an extremely heavy macro accidentally disrupted a fault line that had been building up over time. This island, referred as Giants’ Grounds, remains a part of Arderna and is where most macros too large for cities reside, where society is shaped to accommodate their massive sizes.
There are also states and regions with changed terrain, alongside more common types of people depending on the region’s culture and history. You’re going to find more pinatas in Mexico than Africa. As for changing terrain, Egypt for instance was turned 100% inflatable with every citizen now a balloon when the reigning Pharaoh, Lucianne, became a parade balloon as a result of The Great Mistake. The faith and love poured into her allowed her to gift all of Egypt with floaty carefree lives as balloons and the land itself a new bouncy rubber sheen~
Lastly, a new small country was developed within the Atlantic Ocean, New Atlantis. A large artificial island about 1/5 the size of Australia, home to both seafolk and landwalkers, with buildings reaching above and below the ocean’s surface. While seafolk cannot leave the ocean, they happily live alongside the landwalkers above with many ways for them to interact through architecture and technology. Naturally it’s become quite a popular spot for tourism.

Rifters
Garein has frequent dimensional rifts that have brought a fair chunk of the population. Those who arrive through rifts are often referred to as Rifters. Sometimes Rifters are transformed upon entry as well, there are also some who were originally lifeless inanimate objects, like a lawn flamingo forgotten in a shed, or a cardboard cutout on its way to the dumpster.
Some choose to stay, while the others have managed to return to their homeworld back to their original form. Rifters will usually need somebody to watch over them and help them adjust as well, and thus it is heavily encouraged for adults to help any newbie in need as a caretaker.
Any human who enters Garein through a rift is guaranteed to transform upon arrival as well, as they are an extinct species now.

Transport
Garein has made it a key factor to lessen and restore the damage done to the environment, starting with carbon emissions in the ozone. As a result, most places have removed cars, jets, boats, and other forms of vehicular transport in place for a new service, Transport Toys.
Seeing an abundance of macro-sized inflatables and balloons, a job service was made where the toy would function as a sort of taxi/bus, boat, or jet/blimp. Combined with teleport stations with longer distances, cars aren’t as needed anymore.
Since cars were removed, the public roads have changed too, consisting of 3 separate lanes. The macro lane in the center, the mecro (the term for normal-sized people) lane on the sides, now slightly wider than older sidewalks, and the micro lane elevated above the mecro lanes.
On the topic of micros, it’s also worth mentioning they have their own method of public transport. While there are designated areas within certain Transport Toys, most micros will hail a moderately-sized drone that operates as a flying bus.

Products
Some citizens are manufactured, typically referred to as Products, usually to take the role of a job that not many others can do. Though it is also possible to commission a custom Product of your own to function as a companion or servant.
Almost all anthro Products have permagrins, starry eyes, and static, unmoving faces. The exception being if a custom-made Product is requested to have a normal face. Permagrins also doesn’t apply if they’re a manufactured object like a ring (more into that later).
It was originally just a flaw in the system, but it’s now become a branding mark of sorts and is often a telltale sign that one is manufactured. Products aren’t always inflatables, but will still have permagrins and starry eyes no matter what form they are.

Pets
When you have a world where puberty can turn you into something as simple as a necklace, a keychain plush, an action figure, you name it, there will be sometimes a case where you’ll need to live by somebody’s side or be worn by them your whole life. Since puberty shifts follow the teen’s inner desires though, there’s rarely a case where they’ll be stuck in a form they hate. Plus transformation therapy is always an option.
People in these situations are often referred to as Pets. They can be manufactured to serve that purpose, transformed through puberty, mimics who take the form as a job, or in some rarer cases, born that way. Either way, the life of a Pet is pretty simple. You don’t have to do much at all and you’re given a place to call home with or on a companion who will provide you with all the love and attention you need.
Pets that can be worn like clothes and accessories also have the unique ability to grant their wearer all the powers their species provides. Say for instance you’re a lion, and your brother, a Luxio, recently became a bracelet upon puberty. By wearing them, you’ll be granted all the electrical powers a Luxio gives. And when they evolve (which is indeed possible as a bracelet or any object), you’ll even have the power to use X-Ray vision. This also includes the creation of body parts like claws, tails, and most frequently wings, through the use of physically materialized aura. This is usually referred to as Aura Manifestation.

Other
As well as the jobs mentioned up top, a popular one is an app called “Lend-a-Friend”, where you enter down who and what you are, what kind of stuff you’re able to, and people can hire you for help. So if you’re able to inflate yourself and others, you could work as a super cozy bed, help inflate some balloons for a party, maybe be the ball for a game of beach volleyball, anything you can think of that you can provide.
After countless near-unsolvable crimes were committed with it, mind control via hypnosis or any other manner has become HIGHLY illegal. There has fortunately been a vaccine developed to prevent people from becoming a hypnotist’s new puppet. Any use of hypnosis can lead to serious punishment, reaching up to a lifetime forever laminated in flat prison.

I made a decision what I should do with my older update journals.
Any update journals that have been around for at least 2 months will be deleted.
So for example, the drawing updates journal I made on June 10th will be removed as it is now August 11th (when I made this journal).
Hopefully this won’t be too much of an issue for anyone. I just don’t want a cluttered space.

On March 31st, 2019, I made my final decision to delete my Discord and DeviantArt accounts. I kept my FurAffinity account, which was mostly untouched. As it was my only way to see the pooltoy art I loved, I began using it much more and eventually settled into it. So if I didn’t delete those accounts, I wouldn’t be using this place as much.
Coincidentally, I am taking a break from both Discord and Deviantart right now too, but I haven’t deleted my accounts or anything.
