It's been a minute [Updates May]
Posted 3 years agoHey guys, I hope you're all doing well.
Courses have been progressing per schedule, and I'm 3/4s of the way done with my degree! I cannot believe I'm so close to graduating!
From February 8th to April 16th, I was back home, tending to my Mom. What should of been a routine visit to the doctor for post-covid long hauler symptoms, turned into finding cancer in her left kidney. My Mom was diagnosed with Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma, and had to have her left kidney excised from her body. It turned out the tumor encompassed nearly 75% of her kidney, which was more than likely responsible for her lethargy. Thankfully, we had it taken out, and she's nearing week 10 of recovery time.
It's been a whirlwind, and despite having the afflicted kidney removed, there's a possibility that the cancer can return; so they've got her on a scan regimen for the next five years, she's worried, understandably so-- but I have faith that this will be the last of it. I hope, anyway. =(
I have a slight reprieve from my classes, for the next two weeks, actually. So I am going to do what I can to post streams, and play a little catch up. Exhausted doesn't begin to touch how I feel, but nevertheless, I'm going to keep pushing really hard for this.
I am thinking about separating my SFW and NSFW art, as I am starting to stream on Twitch, as well as playing games there! ( https://www.twitch.tv/flare_ebonpaw )
I will be keeping the Picarto streams going for NSFW, as you can't do that on Twitch. ( https://picarto.tv/FlareEbonpaw )
I am going to do what I can to come to MFM this year, but I am thinking this might be my last one for awhile. We'll see. It's a touch of kismet, as the con was my first furrycon, but I want to see what other conventions have to offer on the West Coast, seeing as I'll probably be staying here for awhile.
That about wraps it up! I hope you guys are doing well, I'm sorry for the radio silence, but I'm hoping to be more present here.

Welp, knew this was coming.. [Updates January]
Posted 4 years agoI have covid! :( I figured we wouldn't be able to complete our trip without getting sick. Thankfully, my symptoms are mild and I'm on the tail end of the quarantine. This means I had to delay my flight to wednesday, but everything should go off without a hitch afterward.
I hope to start sharing some animation progress this semester, as I'm learning 2D animation! I can't wait to show you guys what I've got as I learn it. Thank you for being supportive. I :heart: all of you!

November Updates

So, I have some exciting news, and perhaps it'll give some obviousness as to why I haven't posted much/uploads have been slow. I started college! I'm going for my BA in Game Design and Animation! This is a dream come true for me, and I'm so excited to add these skills to my arsenal. I plan to do so many animations in the future!
I will be uploading pieces when I have them, but those that I've recently put up, three I think? Were the last few pieces I had ready before my classes started. I won't be taking on anymore work until I get what I have owed out, understandably. I will start P2P's again with Flare, as with my mate's permission, she has come off exclusivity! The next auction won't be until December, but you'll see that soon enough!

Posted 4 years agoHi guys! Good grief, I haven't been on here in a hot minute, last submission was.... 8 months ago? Ugh! Sorry about that.
Sooo some life updates, let's get these going.
I'm excited, my mate has graduated with his Master's degree, so now we're on to another chapter of our lives, I'm super proud of him! We are going to be moving soon, around the beginning of August! I have been hard at work, and I'm almost completely finished with everything that I've got on my plate. The haze from Covid's whole... stay indoors thing has rendered me stupid and useless somedays. There were times I didn't do a thing all week, and needless to say, I felt like a giant failure. I'm doing better than I have, and I'm happy to say hopefully we'll get to see our friends again soon. Thank you for being patient with me.

Hey guys, I hope you're all doing well! I'm on the mend from a fever (just a cold, I think!) and I wanted to update you guys with what's going on!
I'm working very hard to completely clear out my queue, which will open us up for even more fun art ideas!
I also have two suits I'm working on, so those will take priority after everything is said and done with what art I have due.
I'll be opening up for paw and tail commissions, as well as plush work for the holidays as well! So if you're interested, let me know!
The holiday rush for plushies will open up Oct. 28th, I'll have a form and will take what slots I can!

Covid, what an ugly name!

It's been about four months since I posted, and for that I'm incredibly sorry. Even just having 20 something pieces to show feels like such a gap, I had hoped to have more for you all, but unfortunately, I don't. D:
Covid has... caused such a rift for us. We'e been stuck in California with no way to get back home to our parents; we want to see them, visit and hug their necks. It's been since the Holidays since we've seen them. But at the same time, the worry of catching it on the hours flight back home, and giving it to them? Such a nightmare to think about. I've had countless dreams of being asymptomatic and just, ugh, no thank you. I don't want to think about it!
So out of their safety, since our folks are older, we aren't going home anytime soon. That in itself has been, well, taxing on my mental health. Being stuck in the house all day as well has been damaging. We go for walks to take out the trash or go to the mail receptacle, but unfortunately the two of us are too worried to go anywhere.
doesn't want to get me sick, and since I'm immunocompromised, it just makes things a little tense.
We started a discord, for anyone who'd want to join and talk with us! We try to have game nights with uno, cards against humanity, and other group games; and am even working on a way to do movie nights if we can get enough interest.
I've missed being around here, and I wanted you guys to know I'm still alive and kicking! I hope that you're all doing well, and I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks to my boyfriend having college classes, he's pretty busy during the morning time, and since it's 11:23am here, that gives me some flexibility to do some early afternoon/noontime streams for those of you in the Eastern/Central timezones! I will -also- start having later streams for those of us over here in the pacific timezone!
So, I'll try and water this down as much as possible. This is the selection up until March! His classes will change and I'll adapt, so that we can do that bonding thing couples do!
Monday: 10am - 3:30pm PST (12pm-5:30pm CST) ((1:00pm-6:30pm EST))
Tuesday: 10:30a - 3:30pm PST (12:30pm-5:30pm CST) ((1:30pm-6:30pm EST))
Wednesday: 10:00am - 3:30pm PST (12pm-5:30pm CST) ((1:00pm-6:30pm EST ))

Posted 6 years agoHey guys.. I'm home. My surgery was slated for 12 today.. spent a few hours under and got to come home around 5pm. I'm currently eating for the first time in 24 hours, and it is heavenly!
The doc said it was a lot bigger than he expected.. but he got the whole thing out. He said it was a branchial cleft cyst that's been growing since birth.. my having mono was just a catalyst for it to attach and grow more than it should of. But yeah. It's gone! I can feel the relief already! I have a goofy looking gauze necklace right now, but I'll deal.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words and positive thoughts. I love you guys and I'm going on the mend for about a week. I'll update when I can.

Posted 6 years agoWell my friends, the wait is over. I had my follow up appointment yesterday and between the doctor and radiologist, they don't agree on what the mass is. My doctor thinks it's a branchial cleft cyst, and the radiologist is screaming lymphoma, which, let's be honest. If it was lymphoma, and it's been there ten years?? I probably wouldn't be here! Or if it was I'd be some medical experiment for the rest of my life...hmnnn.
Anyway! The decision is for complete removal. This Thursday. Yeah, that soon! So while I'm a teensy bit nervous because I have never had surgery before, I think it will be fine! I am ready to not have a lopsided neck, it's made me hella self conscious!
I'm not sure if they'll keep me overnight just yet, due to the possibility of needing a drain? He doesn't know what he will find when he goes in. All he knows is he wants it out, right now! It's been impeding my ability to swallow properly as of late, so it definitely has to come out.
I'll let everyone know once I know and can write to you all. If not me. Then my mate Sillas will update here for me.
