Now for me: I know it's been a while since I've posted any art. Mainly because it's hard for me to find time to draw; especially during the spring and summer months. I work all week and do yard work on the weekends. When I do find time, I'm usually too tired to do so. This is very frustrating for me lately because I have a couple of requests I'm trying to finish and some people get a little impatient when what they ask for isn't done a few days after they ask. I've got three pics I really need to finish, but there's too much in my life I'm dealing with right now (constant changes at my job and my personal life)

So here's what I've decided to do. Once I finish those pics, I'm gonna take a break from taking requests and art challenges. I need some time refresh, get myself together, and concentrate on things I wanna draw for me. I hope you all understand.

I've been hanging out with him for the past couple of months. He's a really nice guy, but he deals with a lot of depression and anxiety. I do my best to cheer him up whenever I visit him. He deserves better. He needs to find a better place to live so he can concentrate more on his art without so much stress. Despite some travel headaches in the beginning, I still had a fun weekend. Too bad it went by so fast. Allow me to explain:

On Thursday all flights from Philadelphia to Memphis were cancelled due to T.S. Harvey being in the area. I was bummed out so I drove home from the airport that evening.

I flew to Memphis on Friday afternoon, got my rental car (a 2017 Nissan Sentra), and drove to the hotel. I got there a little after opening ceremonies started.

Now for the good stuff: I got to hang out with my friends mainly  saizaku and his family with whom I stayed with. Got to join  rabbi-tom,  walt46,  marmelmm, and a few others at the Dinner with the Dons at Coletta's on Saturday night. I bought a print from Charles Ettinger in the dealer room. Bought a dragon badge for my friend  spookysushi and a couple of plushies in the charity auction. Plus  kennykitsune gave me a balloon. :)

...and oh yeah, I did my stand-up routine in the masquerade. I did okay. I consider it practice for my routine for Furpocalypse in October. Stay tooned for that! ;)

In short, Mephit Fur Meet was yet again an awesome con. I wanna go back next year; hopefully without any problems.

Hard to believe it's this week!

As usual I'll be staying at a friend's house in Memphis and using a rental car to commute to the Whispering Woods hotel and back.

I wanna share some thoughts with you

During the weekend I've helped  allan move to his new place in Philadelphia and spent some time with  spookysushi. Them, like many of my other friends in the fandom, are struggling emotionally and financially. I try to help them out by sending them good thoughts and just being there for them. I wish I could do more.

During the past 12 years I've spent in the furry fandom; I've always tried to be a positive influence on others. Giving emotional support, sending positive messages to those who need it. A lot of times I feel like nothing I do works. Everyone just stays in their depressive states as if they don't wanna get better. All my good thoughts just fall on deaf ears and gets very frustrating and tiresome for me. So I ask myself "Why do I do this?"..."Is anyone even listening to me?"..."Am I helping anyone at all?"

Why am I doing this?...

...because I choose to.

Nobody told me to be this way. This was something I decided to do. I'm doing this for fame or recognition. I just wanna be nice to people. This fandom needs more positive people in it. I wanna stand out; use what I've learned from church to encourage and strengthen others. Maybe this is what God intended for me; I'm not sure. But I'm gonna keep on doing it. No matter how difficult it is.

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 - NIV) ...that's basically life on the internet. :P

I think we've heard enough harsh words for one lifetime. Let's actually make an effort to be a positive influence; especially here in the furry community. Let's all take a moment to reach out to those who just need to know that someone does care for them. Trust me; it's for more rewarding to encourage than to discourage.

And for those you dealing with anxiety, depression, or whatever; don't be afraid to let those positive people into your life. Don't let your past dictate your life. Get rid of those negative influences. If you need to cry, do so. Let those feelings out. Once you get yourselves together, clear your head and figure out what you need to do to make your situations better.

...It's something I've never noticed before; and I've seen this movie dozens of times.

Now here's something I've always wondered. Why was Roger Rabbit framed? Why put him through all that trouble just so Judge Doom can own ToonTown? Why was Doom so obsessed with capturing and killing Roger? Here's my guess: If Pistol Packing Possum was Doom all along, maybe he did all of that as an act of revenge. Maybe he was Maroon's most famous toon star before Roger Rabbit came along. Maybe he set up that whole scenario just to get even with Roger for taking his spotlight as well as the rest of the toons.

But hey...that's just a theory...A FILM THEORY!

Man, what an awesome weekend! Big thanks to the con staff and the city of Pittsburgh for putting together a great convention.

• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
"Flash" was based on a nickname I used to have a long time ago when I worked in a car dealership. I would make part-runs so fast the guys in the parts department used to call me "Flash". It was the only sign of respect I ever got from that place.

• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
A North American Grey Timberwolf. Wolves are my favorite animal and it's the type of animal my wolf puppet is. ;)

• What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eye/ect
He has medium dark grey fur with a white tip on his tail, black hair, black eyes

• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?
He's a bit geeky and shy. Sometimes he's outgoing and most of the time very friendly. And just like me, he loves 80s and 90s nostalgia.

a girlfriend. :P

And finally; another main concern I have is finding a mate.

I've been single for a very long time and I really need someone in my life. Someone I can share things with. Someone I can hang out with and have fun. Someone to love.

In the past year I've had sex with both a guy and a girl. Though I have been curious about being in a relationship with a guy, I would most prefer having a woman as a life partner.

Hopefully I can figure all this out soon. Anyway, just wanted to share some thoughts with you.

Aside from being judged and criticized by my Christian friends; another fear I have is if they knew I was bisexual they would connect it to the furry fandom. They would think that me being involved with the fandom had an influence on me and they would consider it to be a bad thing. I don't think being a furry is bad at all. I would hate to see furries get dragged through the mud again.

Lately I've been doing a lot thinking about my life and who I really am.

I know I say I'm straight; but actually...I'm bisexual.

I guess I kinda knew that; even long before I was a furry.

Being Bisexual does conflict with my religious beliefs; however I've decided not to denounce my own faith. Mainly because it made me the kind of person I am. I would rather use what I've learned to encourage and strengthen my friends instead of looking down at them. I've always tried to show my friends the same type of love I was given.

I worry about that a lot because I was brought up in the church and I know a lot of my Christian friends are totally against it. I'm afraid what they'll think of me if they ever find out. So I probably won't tell them. It's best that they don't know EVERYTHING about me.
