crazy is the new normal
Posted 8 years agoYep, life is still crazy but it hasn't killed me yet. I am still here and working on some new art stuffs. No idea when they will be done but when they are they will be posted.
That is all.
That is all.
Im back (tenatively)
Posted 10 years agoIt has been a long time since I have posted anything or been active on this site due to real life issues. As of right now I am taking things slowly but I am going to be posting some things in the next few days and getting back into the swing of things. I will also be starting some new personal projects which will be posted when complete. Yay!
Taking an indefinite break
Posted 12 years agoI have decided that for now; I need to take a step back from this website and furry art in general.
I have a lot of long term responsibilities that I am having to deal with right now and just not enough time to get it all done. In conjunction with those responsibilities I also feel that I need to build a better portfolio of artwork that will be more accepted by the general masses. I have very little recent art that is not furry related and that I think is why I sometimes feel a little smothered.
During my time away I will be working on completing some of my long forgotten projects, dabbling some more and getting more comfortable with clay and focusing on me a little more. I have no deadline upon which I will return or even a guessed time frame of my absence but I plan to be back after my real life problems are dealt with.
Later,
Fleet

back from MFM
Posted 12 years agoEverything was fun and went smoothly.
I was amazed at the turnout we had for the Meet the Minis informational panel for miniature horses. We averaged about 70 attendants over about an hour and a half!
We are making plans already for next year and if all goes well I will be able to bring more horses with me. Later today I will be posting some photos from the panel and the drive home.

Safe driving everyone.

Posted 12 years agoWould anyone be interested in adoptables from me?
They would be hand draw and digitally colored.
Also would you prefer an egg type adoptable so the character is a surprise or just a plain old character adoption?

Hand sculpted in white porcelain and either acrylic painted or glazed. Can be any size since they will be individually hand made.
Let me know what you think.

Posted 12 years agoI was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in Chocolatemint, Peppermint, or Applemint?
I happen to have an overgrowth that I need to trim back but I don't want to waste it. It is grown with NO CHEMICALS and NO FERTILIZER. I will be posting photos later. Bunches will be sold for about $5 and will be bound and hang dried on the stem(like in skyrim) Goes great in hot tea, cook with it or eat it right off the stem.

New Commissions! Sculptures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 12 years agoDue to recent lack of funds and support from the loveable
BlueNire I am opening commissions for sculptures.
These will be Semi realistic, 3-8 inches depending on subject and pose.
These will start in sculpey and soon I will be opening an option for porcelain.
Sculpey will be hand painted with acrylics and have a yarn mane and tail and sculpted eyes for now, I may offer glass in the future.
When the porcelain opens (in about a month) You may have it painted with yarn hair or glazed and fired which will have the hair sculpted and will carry natural variations in the glaze. The eyes in this must be sculpted due to firing.
Sculpey example http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7119858/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5555293/
Porcelain example ( not complete yet)
Price will depend on size and complexity but will range from $40-$100 ish.
I am going to start with only three slots and will open again when these three are complete.
You will get a photo of the armature before sculpting so you may approve the pose and make changes to it with in reason. You will get photos of the sculpt either complete or near complete for approval and photos of the finished piece before shipping. 1/2 the agreed price will hold your slot and get me started, the other 1/2 must be received before I fire/bake.
Now with Paypal....
Reply here to reserve a spot and I will note you for further info.
Thanks.

I dont usually do updates. *edit*
Posted 12 years agoBut im going to.
Thanks to my tax return I was finally able to get a digital tablet and will be playing around with it some time soon. Does anyone know how to get pressure sensitivity to work in photoshop and are there other programs around that people have found are better for drawing and painting. ^_^
Now I go wash horse.
K, thnx.
OMG my fingers are killing me. @_@
Its going to take me some time to get used to digital line work, one one hand having a back button is lovely on the other I feel very disconnected from what im doing. Time and practice is prolly what I need more than anything else. Got pressure sensitivity working on Photoshop and will likely find time tomorrow to play with SAI. Ive been having a really difficult time deciding what style I will be using for my digital art, I could go line-less much easier now and have a much nicer finished product or have thin wispy fur-like lines be all in all im just trying to stay away from toony. I guess it really will depend on how much time I want to spend on something and how good I get at using the tablet. ^_^

Hoofers and people who Draw hooves *Edit again*
Posted 13 years agoSo I have noticed lately while viewing lovely creations involving horses and other single hoofed creatures that the anatomy of the hoof seemingly gets thrown out of the window.
That said, I understand that some styles do this intentionally. I also realize that not everyone is lucky enough to have access to horses and their feet to use as a reference. Which is why over the next few weeks I will be creating photographic references for everyone here to use. These references will be complete 360 shots of a slender and a draft type foot.
Please understand that I am not doing this to be an ass or to try to tell people how they should be drawing. I am simply trying to bring a resource to the masses that would otherwise be unavailable and since I am lucky enough to have horses of both types in my back yard I thought I should do this for the people who don't.
If there are any requests for odd angles let me know by commenting.
Thanks
Here is the first set, right front hoof. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9038405/
The rear hoof http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9039160/
