Twitter, Transphobes, and the Furry Subculture
Posted 6 years agoI swear this wasn’t supposed to be blank, my finger slipped.
Hello, everyone! Fletcher here! If we aren’t close friends, a lot of you might be wondering why I’ve removed my Twitter handle from my profile info. The reason is as simple as it is wrong. I was permanently banned from Twitter for speaking out against TERFs. I went on an angry rant about a literal hate group, not targeting or harassing anyone in particular, on my main account, which I have had since 2011. As a result, I was permanently banned from the site. I have, on too many occasions to count, reported accounts for specifically targeting me for harassment, including hurling slurs and death threats at me, and telling me to commit suicide. Twitter’s response in those cases were that they “weren’t a violation of Twitter’s rules or applicable law.” And yet I get banned for calling out a literal hate group for what it is.
For various reasons, this ban has been a pretty devastating blow to my already suffering mental health, and has cut me off from what has become one of the main social hubs of the furry community. All attempts to create new accounts have been met with further permanent bans, as Twitter has taken to IP banning me now.
Frankly, the furry community needs to dump Twitter. This community is, to a great degree, an LGBTQIA subculture, and Twitter has proven itself openly hostile to LGBTQIA people time and time again. I’m not sure what will take its place, but it’s got to go.
In the meantime, I’ll continue trying to evade the unjust ban by any means possible. At the moment, my account is @Garlicpaws, though I expect that to be gone very soon. I’ll keep you posted regarding my ban status and new accounts. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

New Years Resolution
Posted 6 years agoA bit late in the year for this journal, but better late than never!
So, for quite a while now, I've been pretty much exclusively commissioning my best friend and favorite artist,
boxgoat! You should go check her out, and commission her when she's open, because her art is AMAZING! She's one of my closest friends and my favorite artist, and while I still want to commission and support her, there are so many other artists I've been wanting to commission, but just haven't. So, my new year's resolution has been to commission a wider variety of artists. Expect to still see a lot of Chia/Box Goat's work in this gallery in the future, but also look out for art by a whole bunch of other artists, too!

Commissioned Art and My Weasyl
Posted 8 years agoJust a quick update. I've recently decided to post art I've commissioned here. My own original art will still be on my Weasyl, rather than here, but I wanted to put all of my commissioned art in one convenient place online, and my FA gallery seemed to be a good place.
To find my art, check out my Weasyl.

My First Journal, YAAAAAY!! ... Migrating to Weasyl...
Posted 10 years agoSince IMVU's purchase of FurAffinity was announced, there's been a great deal of questionable things happening, and a lot of drama in particular with regards to art theft and how it's been handled. As a result, though I'm not particularly worried about my mediocre work being stolen, I've decided to switch from FA to Weasyl. All of the work I've posted here and more will be posted there, and removed from FA. I will keep my account open a little while longer for my own personal reasons, but I will eventually deactivate. My next and final journal will include a link to my Weasyl, once I get it set up. It's been fun, but now I've got to go.
