It's been a while
Posted 2 years agoWell heck, it's been a crazy 4 years.
As some might know i ended up seriously ill, hospitalized for a year after almost dieing and having my right foot amputated.
I struggled with slowly healing & rehabilitation to try to walk again. As soon as i got better and ended up breaking my left leg so severely I had to have steel rods put into it. Mind you i had already been through over a year of healing from the amputation and dealing with rehabilitation to walk. Sadly .. Due to the surgery and the fracture I ended up losing mobility a lot in my left foot and leg, sending me back to rehabilitation for almost another year. Sadly at this point my mental health had really suffered A LOT. Finding out that I would be wheelchair-bound possibly permanently it was not good news.
My mental health spiraled into a great depression, to which even till this day I am trying to pull myself out of. On top of that I started going blind... To which I have to have eye needle treatments ever 2 weeks. (Omw to a appointment right now)
F*CK when it rains it pours right...
But it's not over yet.
Last year I got super sick with what I thought was a pancreatitis and I ended up finding I had a football size abscess inside me, crushing my stomach & kidneys that I had to have emergency surgery for. It took me almost 8 months to heal from this.. well still more than that because I am seeing wound care weekly & having a home nurse see me still... So I'm not completely out of the woods yet. But I am making the best I can of the situation and of recovery. My mental health is still an issue for me but I'm tough .
I also debated about coming back to for affinity and staying in the furry fandom, it's no surprise that there has been a lot of drama surrounding the community & I personally just couldn't deal with the stress so I have been limiting the time I spend online.
I just wanted to give everybody a heads up on where I'm at and I will be posting again soon.

IM IN HELL! and the old people are coming to get me!
Posted 6 years agoOkay I just wanted to give a quick update of what's going on in my life since my last posting.
I know it's been a while ...
But for those of you who don't know.... Way back in March I caught a flesh-eating bacteria that invaded my foot and rapidly ate all of the flesh away from the bone in such a aggressive pace I had to have a large portion of my foot amputated quickly. And I was in isolation to make sure that the disease did not spread.
I went through my second surgery to secure the amputated bone and the skin after clearing out the infection area. I got my final set of stitches and was transferred to a 14 - 17 day Physical Therapy boot camp! where I strengthened my weak little arms and legs to get strong again after being on nearly two months of bed rest in the hospital. It was quite rough but I actually enjoyed my experience at the rehab.
Little over a week ago I got transferred again to a new place in the town where I live which is supposed to be Rehabilitation Center where I can oh wait getting the final stitches out and both you physical therapy to learn how to walk again. Only the place that they stuck me is more like a hospice and a mental ward then actual Rehabilitation Center. And I am totally freaking out.
There are a lot of people here with dementia, schizophrenia and a assortment of other mental problems that roam the hallways and scream at all hours of the night. I am terrified half the time to leave my room good luckily I'm in a room by myself but this place has some serious bad vibes. On top of all of that the food here is worse than cafeteria food in the poor section of the school district in the projects. Any nutritional value of the meals are completely disregarded. And I think the nutritionist on staff has completely lost his mind. I have resorted to eating nothing but Clif bars and Ensure in order to get meal supplements and protein. I am completely appalled at the condition of this place and I mental stability of the residents here. This place feels very hopeless and on top of that there is no Wi-Fi service. And I think that part of this old hospital is haunted.. I have seen some sh!t!
OK but even worse than all that bad news, I have come down with some sort of bronchitis and have been sick as a dog for the last week coughing up a rainbow assortment of gunk! Fun fun fun.
Oh oh wait there is more!! it would seem that I am going blind! Freaking BLIND!!!! (*has a week-long panic attack*)
Breath-Breath-Breath!!!
I went to the eye doctor Thursday and they think that they can do some sort of laser surgery to help save my vision. So hopefully I'll have an appointment next week or the beginning of June to fix this sh!t! Because I'm an artist and I cannot lose my sight!!!!!

I will have to keep you guys posted on how that goes.
I'm trying to stay positive, but I don't know how much more craziness I can take. I must have been a very bad person in another life or maybe I was in this one I don't even remember .....
I hate the place I'm stuck at, its like a old folks hell! keep i keep telling myself I will only have to be here for maybe another month or two and there are people here who are willing to help me find a new place to live. I won't have to go back to the slumlord cesspool I'm currently living at. The same place where I caught the flesh eating bacteria. I swear to God that place needs to be condemned.
Luckily there are people here who are going to be willing to help me, and have connections with the Housing Authority that I don't have. So I'm very grateful for that. But it still looks like I won't be around the internet for a little while longer.
If you want to privately get in touch with me I don't mind giving out my cell number for you to text. The reception on my phone calls are not the best in this place but at least text messages come through. So feel free to DM me.
I kind of did Friends and some people to talk to because this place is very depressing.

Almost Died on Easter Sunday!

Easter Sunday I ALMOST FREAKING DIED..... AGAIN!
SO last night a nurse must have got my pain meds screwed up and gave me a large dose of morphine, To the point where I overdosed.
I don't remember much of what happened...
but it was like i was swimming in a "Sea of Blackness", i wanted to fade into the peacful dakness but they wouldnt let me... the room was filled with nurses all trying to talk to me .... but everybody's voice around me was so hard to make out. It was like I was under water and they were trying to talk to me. It was like I was trying to swim to the surface so I could hear them. It was one of the craziest experiences I've ever had. They shot me full of something through my PICC line that went to my heart. I think it was a adrenaline and also something to counteract the opiates in my system.
Then I started throwing up everywhere. And I couldn't stop even when there was nothing left in my stomach. I couldn't quite hear everybody around me, the voices sound muffled still, but i was away from that dark place. the pain I was feeling was very real and I tried to convey to the nurses what was going on. I was so cold, very cold !
they had to bundle me up in warm blankets at one point.
I got moved to intensive care room where they monitored me closely for the rest of the night. Horrible night or just pain and being sick...... But I'm alive.
So yeah... yur Gurl escape death yet again... Twice in one month. 1st Necrotizing Fasciitis (Flesh Eating Bacteria) that led to my foot being amputated, and now an overdose of morphine.
I must have the lucky feat I swear or there's someone up there that likes me. I told you guys I'm too damn stubborn to leave this world! When ya gurl statez that "I'mz a Survivor!"... It Ain't No Lie
I'm still recovering, and I'm not sure how long my Hospital stay is going to be before I can be moved to a rehab center to try to learn how to walk again. but I'm realizing that I'm going to end up needing a knee scooter, sadly the "normal ones" I'm not going to be able to get and I'm going to need to get one that can support my weight.
Yes I'm a fat plushy chick, the truth be told.
So the ones I'm going to be looking at have to support a weight over 350 lb, 'cuz I am just over that threshold with all this swelling in my lower legs.
I feel like a damn balloon!
Unfortunately my insurance will not cover such a device, or at least that's what I'm being told by physical therapy. I still need to talk to my case manager about it. But it's probably something I might have to buy out of pocket.
So I'll need to see if I can raise some money for it.
So I guess I'm going to try to sell some quick adoptables to help make some extra cash and I'm completely open to any donations.
Knee scooters ,They normally run about $200 for the normal ones... but I'm looking at the more sturdy one to support my weight which is probably around 400$. I will also be looking into other options on trying to get a hold of one.
If anyone could find it in the kindness of their heart and want to help to donate to me getting this knee scooter I would appreciate it.

I wanted to give you an update on my status. It has turned out to be one of the roughest months of my life.
It's been hard for me to talk about this because I don't even know where the Story begins.
Somehow I caught a form of Necrotizing Fasciitis.
Well its a flesh-eating disease. It is a very severe bacterial infection that spreads quickly through the tissue (flesh) surrounding the muscles and bone. In some cases death can occur within 12 to 24 hours. Necrotizing fasciitis kills about 1 in 4 people infected with it.
So yah your girl here is damn lucky to be alive! If I had waited any longer for treatment I probably would have been dead the next day.
I've never had an injury I think this severe, aside from about twenty years ago getting hit by a car and left for dead. I got through that and I'll definitely get through this. I'm too damn stubborn to leave this world.
So I was rushed to emergency surgery where they had to amputate majority of my foot due to this aggressive infection.

I lost 3 toes and a good chunk of My foot. My remaining toes are going to be amputated off and part of my foot too ,so I have a nub soon. But the inside part of my foot needs to heal for the next two or three weeks. So I have a wound VAC on it to help promote healing and then I'll go in for another surgery to create the nub using the remaining healthy skin of the two toes and top of my foot.
I'm stressing so much about all this, plus I will be unable to return to my apartment due to it was the place where I caught the flesh eating bacteria, (honestly the apartment complex needs to be condemned IMO) plus there is a large set of stairs that I will no longer be able to go down to get to the basement level floor where I live.
So as I am standing in the hospital I have to basically do apartment hunting which is stressing the hell out of me.
I feel so alone.
I know that I can get through this, it's just an awful lot to be dropped on me all at once.

My tablet has been brought to me so I can attempt to draw some.
but Due to the medication they have me on and the various array of different antibiotics and pain meds, All art is going to have to be on hold or on a slow drip as I work towards finishing a commission I'm working on while I'm in the hospital recovering.
Any who I just wanted to give ya a heads up as to what happened to me.

But the inside part of my foot needs to heal for the next two or three weeks. Announcement: 1/27/19 (Not Leaving)

Holy Sweet Peaches the end of 2018 was crazy for me.
I know in my last journal I said I would be back around October (2018), but as most of you know some serious drama hit the Fandom involving Kuro the Wolf.
Now this didn't in particular have anything to do with me of course, but it still made me stop and question our Fandom. I'm sure all of us have our own opinions on the drama and accusations that surrounded him. And I in no way condone or support anything of that nature.
As some people might know, I have drawn some "questionable" things in the fandom for commissioners, including Kuro who I actually used to talk with back in his Vine days. Usually I have no issues with "ART", ART IS NOT RL, Art is Art to me, I often say I am willing to draw ANYTHING for the right price, and the commission work I have done for some do not reflect me, my likes, my kinks. Etc etc.
Though some might judge me for my work. And my fear of this has almost made me leave the fandom. ... Almost.
I have had to take a break over the holidays due to stress and to clear my head. ...
And after a long consideration I think I will have to add some stipulations to the things I'm willing to draw for people.
what does this mean? TL;DR
Well... It means that I'm back and staying in the fandom I'm not going to be driven away by fear and hate.
I will continue to draw and take commissions and be more cautious of those I draw art for.
New YCHs and Price Commissions are coming out soon.
I just want to thank all my friends for sticking by me these past few months as I have been dealing with a lot, both in my RL & Online World.
I have been feeling very lonely as of late And I have become super shy for some reason. I really need to come out of my shell.

i need to take a few weeks off to get my RL and work schedule in order.
As of this posting i am CLOSED for all commissions until OCTOBER 1ST
i will be back then with bran new Halloween YCHs.
i'm sorry, i just cant afford the time this month to draw.
there is so much going on i wont be on-line much this month.

I Apologize for my Absent over the last week. My interest crap'ed out on me and my provider said they couldn't fix it till Monday.
So I have been getting my WiFi fix off of the Starbucks WiFi. Which in my town has blocked FA because it comes up as a poon site or some sh!t.

Ugh... i have been suffering with a summer cold gifted to me by my hubby. That ontop of the summer heat has been brutal on me. Art will be slow this month for i can only draw at night due to the heat wave of summer and we have no Air-conditioning. *cry*
